Politics / Check Out List Of Obasanjo’s 21 Children Mothers And His Other Women by oludashmi(f): 12:50pm On Jul 20, 2015
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, in his recent controversial book, My Watch, listed the names of his 21 children but he did not mention their mothers.

The mothers of the children include…

MRS. OLUREMI OBASANJO, his first wife, who he married on Saturday, June 22, 1963, at Camberwell Green Registry, South East London. She was just 21. Mrs. Oluremi Obasanjo is the mother of six of the 21 children of the former president.

They are Senator Iyabo Obasanjo, who was born on April 27, 1967; Busola Obasanjo, who was born on November 5, 1968; Olusegun Obasanjo, the first son, who was born on November 4, 1969; Olugbenga Obasanjo, who was born in 1971; Enitan Obasanjo, who was born on September 24, 1975 and Damilola Obasanjo, the last of the woman’s children who was born in 1982.

MRS. STELLA OBASANJO, the late former First Lady died on Sunday, October 23, 2005, in Spain after a failed tummy tuck surgery. She had only a child, Olumuyiwa Obasanjo, who was born in 1977, for the former president.

GOLD ORUH, a former director at Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), who met the former president as a reporter during the civil war in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. She had two children for him. Her children are Funke and Seun Obasanjo.

MRS. TAIWO OBASANJO, is the twin sister of Mr. Kenny Martins, the politician and former Chairman of Police Equipment Fund. She also has two children for the former president. One of her children is Esther Olubunmi Obasanjo who got married in August 2010.

Mrs. Taiwo Obasanjo has since reverted to her maiden name, Martins. Since her secret dalliance with late Godwin Daboh became public knowledge, the former president distanced himself from her.

Late MRS. LYNDA OBASANJO, nee Soares, was another woman who had children for Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. She was said to have had two children for him before she was killed on February 14, 1987, in daylight by armed robbers. She was 45. We really don’t know the names of her two children among the 21 children. Her cousin, Priscilla Soares was later made MD, Nicon by Obasanjo.

MRS. MABEL OKOSODE OBASANJO is another woman who has children for the former army general. We, however, don’t know how many children she has for him and their names.

MRS. TITILAYO OBASANJO, is another woman who has a child or children for the old man.

COL. ADEBOYE OBASANJO, mother’s name is not known. But according to Mrs. Oluremi Obasanjo in her book, Bitter Sweet My Life with Obasanjo, she is a mother of two and a divorcee brought to the former general by one of his aunts who lives in Arigbajo, Ogun State, when she (Remi) was chased out of their Ikoyi (Lagos) matrimonial home for challenging his (Obasanjo) philandering.

KOFOWOROLA MOJISOLA OBASANJO, who got married to Peter Kenneth Blackshire, a British Baptist minister in 2002, shares the same mother with Tunde Baiyewu, the British singer of Nigerian descent. Tunde Baiyewu’s mother lost her husband and relocated to Nigeria with her two children. She met Obasanjo who was still an officer in the army. Their dalliance produced Kofo Obasanjo.

MRS. BOLA OBASANJO, is the woman that is presently living with Chief Obasanjo. She also has a child for him called Funsho Obasanjo. The woman was formerly based in London, but had to relocate to Nigeria to be his resident wife.

There are other women in Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s life though they did not have children for him.

HIS OTHER WOMEN

MRS. MOWO SOFOWORA, a lace fabric merchant and a married woman started dating him as far back as 1973, when Obasanjo was a Lt. Col. in the army.

Mrs. Oluremi Obasanjo mentioned Mrs. Mowo Sofowora as one of the women who caused problems in her marriage. She was said to be older than Obasanjo.

Nairaland / General / Bill Cosby Confess To Giving Sedatives To Women For Sex by oludashmi(f): 12:07pm On Jul 07, 2015
Actor and Comedian, Bill Cosby, for the first time confessed to giving sedative drugs to young women he wanted to have sex with.

The 77-year-old comedian was testifying under oath in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee. He testified he gave her three half-pills of Benadryl.

Cosby has been accused by more than two dozen women of sexual misconduct, including allegations by many that he drugged and raped them in incidents dating back more than four decades. Cosby, 77, has never been criminally charged, and most of the accusations are barred by statutes of limitations.

“I am so overwhelmed that this has come out at long last. At last we are being validated, and there is vindication,” Victoria Valentino told CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront” soon after news of the documents broke.

She claims that Cosby raped her.

“You should swing into action and embark on meaningful projects in the wards; there is a blueprint of proposed development to guide you.

Sports / Nigerian Coach: NFF Has The Power To Sack Keshi – Chukwu by oludashmi(f): 8:52am On Jul 06, 2015
A former national team coach, Christian Chukwu, has said that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had the power to sack Stephen Keshi, that afterall, they employed him.

Chukwu, said he would not want to be seen as someone who hates the embattled coach.

“I will only say that those who gave Keshi the job in the first place are the ones who fired him and I am sure they have the power to do so before taking the decision.

“Again, I am sure that the NFF must have made good arrangement on who will take over the job. We don’t want any vacuum to be created because we know it will be to the detriment of the game in the country. So, the Glass House must appoint a coach because they will also be booted out if football slides in the country,” Chukwu said.

Politics / Stop Attacks, Embrace Buhari’s Negotiation Offer – Saraki Tells B’haram by oludashmi(f): 7:54pm On Jul 05, 2015
President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has condemned today’s bomb attack on innocent worshippers at a Redeemed church in Potiskum, Yobe state and that of Zamfara.

“My heart is with individuals and families who were directly or indirectly affected by this ungodly, sadistic and evil act. Sending Nigerians to their untimely grave can never be the solution to any religious, political or economic grievances.

“Besides, the Federal Government has demonstrated enough political will to engage any group in dialogue aimed at bringing these vicious and sad attacks to a final stop.

“The recent position of the Federal Government that it would not oppose negotiation with the insurgents ‘if the Boko Haram terrorist group opt for it’ ought to be seen as an olive branch extended to the sect by the present administration. And I urge them to take advantage of that opportunity to drop their weapons.

“I urge Nigerians not to give in to fear or be discouraged as a result of these renewed attacks as the Senate and the National Assembly under my leadership will maximally support President Muhammadu Buhari in his determination to retool and motivate the Armed Forces to decisively prosecute the war against terrorism.” Saraki said.

Celebrities / I’m Done Sex Starving, Ready For Dates - Actress Alex Okoroji by oludashmi(f): 8:13am On Jun 27, 2015
Actress Alex Okoroji, who was once married to Ghanaian actor, Omar Captan, but lost her marriage too soon, revealed that she wants to get back into dating as she is presently done with a long sex break.

Asked how long her marriage lasted, she said, “I can’t really tell you how long I was married. Sometimes, you won’t realise that a relationship is over until it is actually over. It was shorter than 18 months technically.”

Talking about currently being a single mother as her failed marriage produced a beautiful baby, Alex said it has made her to become stronger.

“You tend to be more self-sufficient. I’m playing double roles; being the dad and mum at the same time. It’s a little challenging but at the same time, it’s good. Sometimes, separation is not always a bad option.”

When asked if she would eventually reconcile with her ex, Alex said, “No. I don’t think so. I think he has moved on and I’ve moved on as well. So, I’m not thinking towards that direction anymore. I think the most important thing is for us to remain parents to our child. I’m not interested in being a couple. I just want everybody to play their roles. That’s all. You can never stop being a parent, be it a father or a mother to your child, but you can stop being a wife or a husband.”

Alex claimed she is not in a relationship at the moment. She said, “I’m married to my work. My focus at the moment is working on my purpose and building on my career. I was distracted for a long time. At such times, you get married, have a child and focus on your child, but when that is out, I have another focus. Right now, my focus is on my child and my career. Every other thing is by the way.”

Politics / RRS Had Only 37 Guns When I Became Governor - Fashola by oludashmi(f): 4:10am On Jun 10, 2015
The immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN, said the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), which is an arm of the Lagos State Police Command set up to respond to emergencies within the state, had only 37 guns when he became governor in 2007.

He made this known on Monday during a programme on Channels Television titled ‘View from the top’.

He said, “We need to provide equipment and resource for security personnel. If they do not have equipment and resource, they will not be able to do their work. One of the things I found out at the security town hall meeting was that the Rapid Response Squad that was responsible for responding to violent crimes, had only 37 rifles at the time.

“And that was the period when we had bank robberies almost every day of the week. People forget that now. We had robberies and carjacking and what we used to see was that police would respond after the robbers had gone.

“So, during my first meeting with them, I asked them why they arrived at crime scenes late and we learnt there were no vehicles, no fuel supply and more importantly, they did not have enough guns. Most of the guns were at the police stations and the RRS of almost 2,000 personnel had only 37 guns.”

Nairaland / General / Land Selling Has Changed My Life - Baba Fryo by oludashmi(f): 3:34am On Jun 10, 2015
Popular ghetto singer, Friday Igweh, aka Baba Fryo, in a recent interview speaks about how land selling changed his life even though music showed him to the world. He also announced he’s back into music and would release an album soon.

Talking about featuring new artists, The ‘Denge Pose and Notice Me’ singer, said he has no interest in new artists and won’t feature them in his up coming album titled, ‘We no Send Dem’.

He says, “By the special grace of God, I made some good money as a land speculator. Apart from helping to keep body and soul together, the business has changed my life. But show business brought me to limelight and I could never have abandoned it.

“I thank those who have cheated me. But for their actions, I would not be where I am today. And these include those who introduced me to the land business.

When asked about his new land business and wealth accrued from it, he said, “I am not like other artistes that like to talk about their worldly possessions, the millions of naira in their bank accounts and more. So I won’t tell you what you want to hear. I am just a simple man and I want to keep maintaining a low profile.

Asked if he would change his style as he returns into music, he said, “I have decided to update the style due to pressure from my fans. Each time I try to do other things, they insist that I must do my original style. So I had to satisfy them.”

As for collaboration with new artists, “I won’t even consider it because I don’t want any trouble with these young boys. Many of them have no respect for older musicians. So I want to do my thing alone.”

Politics / I Left Office A Broke Man – Former Rivers Deputy by oludashmi(f): 8:55am On Jun 09, 2015
Former deputy governor of Rivers State, Engr Tele Ikuru, expressed that he left office a broke man as he did not get any parting gift from his boss, former Governor Rotimi Amaech.

Ikuru who dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, few days to the last presidential election, said Amaechi did not recognise with the good works he did while in office and that was why he was not given gifts when leaving office on May 29.

He said, “I served the government for seven years and seven months under Amaechi, because I was with Omehia for five months. At the end of the seven years and seven months Amaechi did not think that I deserved any parting gift despite the fact that in the course of this administration, by reason of the office I occupied, I returned several monies to him valued at over N2 billion cash at different times during one assignment or another.

“By reason of my contribution, I also saved not less than N100 billion for the state government over the period. At the end of the seven years and seven months, my boss left me hard and dry, nothing and no penny to go home with.”

He added that he dumped the APC for PDP later in order to show his support for the re-election of former President Jonathan Goodluck.

Nairaland / General / Motorcyclist Arrested For Raping 11-year-old Girl For 6 Months by oludashmi(f): 7:56am On Jun 09, 2015
A 38-year-old motorcyclist, Obinna Ekusaba, has been arrested for allegedly raping an 11 years old girl for 6 months in the Kirikiri area of Lagos State.

The primary six pupil narrated to the police how Ekusaba lured her into an uncompleted building with N1000 in December 2014 and has been sleeping with her since then.

The victim’s mother however noticed while bathing the girl on May 19, that her daughters private part was enlarged and put pressure on her before she explained that Ekusaba had been sleeping with her. The mother reported the matter to policemen at the Kirikiri division and the suspect was subsequently arrested.

The victim, in her statement to the police, said, “Brother Obinna (Ekusaba) used to buy cigarette, water and alcoholic drinks from my mother’s shop. Last year, I was in my mother’s shop when Brother Obinna called me to bring a bottle for him inside the building.

“On getting there, he put his hand inside his pocket and brought out N500; he asked me to enter. But I told him my daddy used to give me N500. He then brought out N1,000. As I entered the building, he removed my pants and put his private parts inside my own. After he removed it, I demanded the money and he brought it out. As I was about to collect it, he put it back inside his pocket. That was how Brother Obinna started sleeping with me.”

Her 35 years old mother said, “I became worried because it was not like that before. I questioned her for hours before she confessed that it was a man called Obinna (Ekusaba) that had been raping her. She also said he would bring out his private parts and ask her to put it in her mouth. I could not bear it and had to report it to the police.”

The police subsequently arrested Ekusaba, who was married with four kids, and upon interrogation, he reportedly confessed to the crime.

He said, “I came to Lagos 10 years ago and I started riding motorcycle. I know the complainant as the mother of the victim. She is like a sister to me. I have been making love with her daughter for long. When we started, I told her I would buy something for her, but I didn’t buy her anything. I slept with her five times.

“Each time I wanted to sleep with her, I would carry her on my lap. It was on the fifth time that I could penetrate. I slept with her at a car park. I did it during the day and night inside the park. I know I have committed an offence.”

Politics / Marketers Plan To Import Fuel Without Subsidy Payment by oludashmi(f): 7:48am On Jun 09, 2015
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) at the weekend said it has started discussing with foreign partners to refine crude oil abroad and import Premium Motor Sprit (petrol) and Kerosene into the country, The Nation reports.

The Marketers plan to do this without intention to claim any subsidy payment from the Federal Government through the method.

IPMAN National Secretary Danladi Pasali, who spoke to reporters in Abuja, explained that should the Federal Government approve the intervention, it would be a temporal relief arrangement pending the improvement of the capacity of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s (NNPC’s) refineries and the construction of greenfield refining entities.

According to him, the initiative was developed by the association’s new executives to assist the present administration to reduce cost in subsidy payment at the same time meet products’ demand.

His words: “We urged the Buhari administration to support IPMAN in mobilising our foreign partners in importing petroleum products at no cost or without subsidies payment to government. We have done all our mathematics that through our new model of Crude Oil SWAP arrangement; we can wet the country with petrol and kerosene and still gain from the transactions,” Pasali said.

Nairaland / General / 80% Of Online Jobs In Nigeria Are Fraudulent – Careers24 by oludashmi(f): 8:34am On Jun 08, 2015
The Head of Marketing and Products Development of Nigeria’s online job portal, Careers24, Tope Niyi, has revealed that eighty per cent of jobs online in Nigeria are fraudulent.

Niyi tells in a recent interview how the company is doing all it can to combat frauds and jobs in the Nigerian online space.

The online job space has become an attractive platform for fraudsters, what has been your experience and what have you done to combat the challenge?
At the time that Careers24 launched, it was being handled from South Africa. So what the team in South Africa did was to Google the email addresses of those recruiters who want to recruit through the platform. But when we came on board, we realised that a lot of those recruiters were actually fraudulent recruiters. I can tell you that out of a hundred jobs that are sent to us by recruiters in a day, about 80 per cent of that are fraudulent jobs. So what we did was to build a system where every job that comes on our site goes through a fraud proof registration process.

This gives us access to the details of our potential recruiters so that we can verify that the job is genuine. For example, someone says Shell is recruiting, and says send your CV to Shell@gmail.com. Immediately you see that, you will realise it is a scam because a company like Shell should probably have emails like HR@shell.com. Generally we have little tolerance for scam, so even if it looks right, you still have to prove to us that it is right. Apart from that, we have a way of taking it further. We said because it is Nigeria and there is this problem of scam, we are going to ensure that we call every recruiter that puts a job on the site. This is possible since the job doesn’t go live once it is submitted for posting on our site. So the team at the backend that sees the job before it goes live calls the recruiter to actually verify the submission.

Politics / IGP Says Police Is The Least Corrupt Of All Nigerian Institutions by oludashmi(f): 7:19am On Jun 08, 2015
At the annual symposium during a Feast of Barracuda organised by the National Association of Seadogs, the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has declared the Nigerian Police as the least corrupt officers compared to all other institutions in Nigeria.

Arase who was represented by the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Wilson Inalegwu said that the practical step to deal with corruption was to dismantle road blocks by Police and the establishment of Monitoring Teams to ensure compliance across the country.

The IGP also said bail is free and urged Nigerians to call their helplines whenever they are asked to make payment for bail and promised that such officers would be dealt with.

He said: “The IG said he is allergic to corruption and since then he has taken practical steps to deal with the issue of corruption, both the history of corruption and perception of corruption of the Nigeria Police Force.

“One of the first things he did was to set up the IGP’s Monitoring Teams. First of all the decision by the Police Management Team was to take out roadblocks across all our highways. It was not just to dismantle it, he set up the IGP Monitoring Team to ensure that these directives are enforced.”

“If you go across most of our highways now roadblocks have been reduced to the barest minimum, and anybody mounting roadblocks, does that at his risk.

“Presentations are also made where Commissioners of Police are invited to look at the situations across the country right from the condition of suspects in Police cells and they have a technical platform that enable them to monitor the behaviour and conduct of police officers on the road as they handle suspects.

“The IG said bail is free! Help lines have been provided where you can supply information. You can call to inform that you went to this station and paid this amount and I can assure you, action will be taken. Bail is free, the monitoring teams are going round to practically deal with those avenues that can lead to corruption.

The MDCN said they discovered Ugwu is an impostor and has been using a certificate belonging to another Dr. Davidson Daniel who is the genuine doctor and he currently undertakes his residency training in Jos, Plateau State.

Ugwu before his arrest was due to be promoted to an Assistant Director in the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Health, and has been working in the civil service since 2006 under the name, Dr. George Davidson Daniel.

It was observed that Ugwu must have stolen the certificate from Daniel whom they both hail from Benue state, when he participated as the Best Man to Daniel during his wedding in 2006.

Ironically, Ugwu was part of a government committee that met more than 200 contingents returning from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea where they had volunteered to help fight Ebola under an African Union mission, last week in Abuja.

But the present concern to the MDCN is that few hours after his arrest, Ugwu was released by the police and there is a suspicion of compromise in the case.

A letter by the MDCN reads, “Records available to the council revealed that this “Dr.” Davidson Daniel George is an impostor as he is impersonating another Dr. Davidson Daniel who is the genuine doctor and he currently undertakes his residency training in Jos, Plateau State.

“The council summoned and interacted with the genuine doctor who gave some vital information on the impostor. The council has reported the matter to the law enforcement agency as a case of impersonation; with the genuine doctor deposing to a statement with regard to what happened between him and the fake doctor whose real name is Mr. Martins Ugwu.

“As it is, Mr. Martins Ugwu is an impostor. You may therefore wish to take further actions to deal with this matter in accordance with the provisions of the law.”

Celebrities / Wale Adenuga Speaks: Why I Will Never Be Part Of Nollywood by oludashmi(f): 7:30am On Jun 06, 2015
65 years old TV series veteran, Wale Adenuga, speaks with the Vanguard on why he would never be part of Nollywood.
When asked that why are the Yoruba actors not under the Nollywood?
The reason is that when somebody claims he founded Nollywood, Oga Bello and of course I cannot be part of that. You were alive in 1983 when I produced my first film when Emeka Ike and his Nollywood people were still in school. They started their own film-making in 1992 and they are claiming that 1992 was the beginning of film-making in Nigeria.Would you then call me a member of Nollywood? Bello made Omo-Orukan in 1980s. Will Bello now come under Nollywood formed by somebody who began his career in 1992? Emeka Ike started in 1992 and in one of his interviews I read, he said he founded Nollywood. So, would I belong to such industry founded by Emeka Ike who was born when I was making films? Or will Ogunde of blessed memory consider Emeka Ike as his own pioneer?

Young boys and girls have pocketed Nollywood and sent veteran actors into forced retirement. These old actors are now living in abject poverty due to inactivity. Some of them facing avoidable deaths. But you see, there is nothing bad in adopting Nollywood as name for Nigeria film industry, what I expected was that when you are telling the story of that Nollywood, it behooves on you to say it started in 1950s, giving credence to those who started it before you.

I can’t be part of a Nollywood started by Emeka Ike because I was making films before he was born. I can’t consider him as my pioneer. That is why Yoruba and Hausa are not part of it. Go and ask Muazu in the North who has been making films since God knows when, will Emeka Ike be his pioneer? They defined Nollywood as product of 1992. It suggests that those who have been making films before 1992 are not part of Nollywood. That to me is a dangerous claim.

Nairaland / General / After 2 Years On Life Support, Ebere, Nigeria’s Ex-banker Dies In US by oludashmi(f): 6:32am On Jun 06, 2015
A young Nigerian banker, Ms. Ebere Ukwu, who left for the United States of America after loosing her job as a bank manager during Nigeria’s financial meltdown, has died. She died 2 years after being on life support in the US.

Ebere never experienced the pleasures she dreamt of as she went into coma and was placed on life support machine, months after arriving United States from Nigeria.

She died on June 1, at 12.05 a.m, Ms. Ebere Ukwu’s dream died with her inside the Intensive Care Unit of Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Her brother, Mr. Ezuma Ukwu, issued this statement when contacted: “The news of her transition is devastating to the family. On the 1st of June, I received a call at about 2.30am Nigerian time from the medical staff that her condition had deteriorated and by 5.20am another call came in that she had passed on. We find solace in the fact that she made Christ her Lord and saviour; she’s resting in His bosom. The vacuum left by her cannot be filled, but we take solace in the fact that this is only a transition to a place where we’ll all meet and never to part again. We appreciate all those who have been with us in prayers.”

Tunde Atiku, a registered nurse in Raleigh shared the stages of Ebere’s life to the end of her time last week.

“Jebose, I met Ebere and her family during our university days at Lagos State University. Her older sister and I were lovers. The family welcomed me into their home. I was always around them and I am grateful for those university days when their home gave me love, comfort and a great girlfriend in Lara. Years later, after our university education, we went separate ways as life demanded. I moved to the United States. In November 2012, Ebere called from Atlanta and informed me she was in the United States. Her immediate desire then was to legalise her stay in the country. She came into United States with some money to help her settle her immigration status. She didn’t want to marry to get her legal status. She hoped for a real marriage.

"Thus, in Atlanta, she was introduced to several suitors but she found none of them serious. Employment was becoming a challenge; her finance was draining by daily living and hustles in America. She wanted to work; through a friend, Ebere found a baby-sitting job in Maryland. She relocated to Maryland in April 2013 to become a baby sitter to one Igbo lady, a mistress from hell. She called me every day, complaining of her hardship, mental abuse and threats from her employer. She would complain about mistreatment and irregular payment from the lady. I encouraged her to leave the job and relocate to Raleigh and live with me. I promised to help find her a decent job, free from daily verbal abuses and indignity. Ebere wanted the American dream. She went through hard life in Maryland because of this thing called the American dream. Jebose, imagine your employer, a fellow Nigerian, threatening to call the law on you because of your immigration status and withholding your agreed income. Ebere took care of her boss’ three children and also did housekeeping for the family, yet they tormented her.”

Nairaland / General / See How 120 Escape Death As Aero Aircraft Develops Fault Mid-air by oludashmi(f): 5:36am On Jun 06, 2015
A traveler Prof. Ishaq Akintola, the Director, Muslim Rights Concern, has narrated their ordeal as over 120 people escaped death in an Aero Contractors Airline Flight 180 from Lagos to Kaduna as it developed technical fault mid-air.

According to Akintola, the Aero aircraft left the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos for Kaduna at exactly 6:30pm but lost altitude 20 minutes after departing and passengers had to use the oxygen masks as they prayed, screamed and others fainted.

Akintola narrated, “The plane lost altitude 20 minutes after takeoff. We had to make use of the oxygen masks. We saw smoke outside the plane, probably coming from the engine compartment. At this time, the whole plane was thrown into commotion. Many passengers screamed and some fainted. Prayers upon prayers were offered. Some shouted Allah, others Jesus.

“While the pilot was making the announcement of the flight diversion, I noticed that his voice was trembling. He told us that Abuja was 120 miles away and that we would land in 25 minutes. But we were not sure we would make it. In fact, I quickly recited the Kalimah (the Quranic invocation of the oneness of Allah), believing that the end had come.

He said that the plane finally touched down in Abuja at about 9.00pm and upon landing in Abuja, the officials of the airline told the devastated passengers that the fault would be hurriedly repaired and that the plane would proceed to take them to Kaduna, their original destination.

Akintola said, “As I am talking to you, I am now in a taxi taking me to Kaduna. They said they wanted to repair the plane and that we should wait so it takes us to Kaduna. Allah forbids. They asked how many of us wanted to disembark and almost everybody came out.”

“When the aircraft wanted to land in Abuja, the tyres failed to come out on time and that again caused more commotion among passengers. At last, we landed at about 7.35, about 50 minute of trauma mid-air.”
