Former Minister of Petroleum, and Elder statesman, Prof. Tam David West, has revealed that ex-Niger Delta militant, Mujahid Asari Dokubo, converted to Islam so he could be trained in late Gadaffi’s terrorist camp.

In an interview with SaharaTV, former Minister of Petroleum, Prof. Tam David West called the bluff of his Ijaw kinsmen, saying they deceive President Goodluck Jonathan because they collect money from him.

In particular, the professor of virology took on Chief Edwin Kagbodo Clark an Ijaw elder accusing him of taking money from President Jonathan. He threatened to expose, loquacious ex-Niger Delta militant, Mujahid Asari Dokubo, such that he would not be able to move to other countries, should he dare open his mouth to further insult him because of President Jonathan.

“Asari Dokubo is my cousin. he used to stay with me and I used to give him pocket money.

“Asari Dokubo is brilliant by mouth. I don’t think he is very intelligent. If he is very brillian, how come he was thrown out of the University of Port Harcourt and Calabar? he was a university drop out twice. He cannot deny this. He claims he is an activist. If you are an activist, how come you are not the President of Trade Union>?

“Asari Dokubo talks loosely but Jonathan is not intelligent enough to know. Asari said he ijaws are not Nigerians but he wants Jonathan to be president. How can you be president of Nigeria when you are not a Nigerian? That enough disqualifies him. Jonathan doen not look at all this. He thinks they are supporting him.

“Your friend is someone who makes friends for you, not enemies for him. All these sycophants around him make enemies for him.

“How can you say Hausa people are gambaris? Hausa people are not parasites. No part of Nigeria is a parasite. Jonathan got only 24% votes from ijaw. Jonathan is president today because of (Hausa) North, South West and East, not South South.”

Early in the morning you have the orange juice vendors and dry fruits, etc. Latter on, the snake charmers begin to set up their shops and the henna tattooist. The square changes from hour to hour and surprisingly enough the square comes to life after dark.

Nuhu Ribadu, former Presidential Candidate in the APC who dropped the ambition to run for a governorship election in PDP, said his desire to serve at any level propelled him to drop his initial ambition.

Ribadu said, “Everything in my life has been about public service. I’m prepared to serve in any capacity.

“If you ask me to come and be a sweeper of any street in any part of the country, I’m ready to do that. I don’t even have power of my own in any part.”

Asked whether he was worried that the PDP was yet to grant him and other defected aspirants waivers needed to contest the primary, he said no.

”I am not worried about the waiver. I have followed the rules. I am a law and order person. I have done my own bit and I will wait for the party to do their own. That part is not my responsibility.”

President Goodluck Jonathan said his administration has given the Igbos, appointed positions which no previous administrations ever gave them. He said these during this year’s World Igbo Congress Day in Huston, United States of America.

As Punch reports, the President said, “Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, in pursuit of productivity and excellence, we have appointed competent and capable men and women to positions of high authority and strategic responsibility in all fields of national endeavour.

“In our dogged determination to develop our country, the Igbo are well represented and in some of these appointments, the Igbo are having them for the first time.

“Some have said that this government has done more in appointments than any other in our history for the Igbo, but that is a matter for the pundits and historians. Let me state that appointments by this administration, across the country, will continue to be based on equity, fairness and competence.

“Even when some utilise politics to undermine our commitment to fairness and justice, we will deploy the principle of Federal Character to progressively correct it. No part of Nigeria under my leadership will be shortchanged.

“Similarly in projects and policies, we have continued to do our best. Throughout the South-East, we inherited federal roads in very poor conditions.

“In spite of the highly competitive demand and constraints on funding, we have taken on most of the major roads, realising the impact that their improvement will have on business and life in our country.

“The Owerri-Onitsha road, which was under construction at the outset of my administration, has been virtually completed. Three other very important roads, the Enugu-Onitsha expressway, the Enugu-Port Harcourt road and the Nguzu-Edda-Nkporo-Ohafia road which cuts across Ebonyi and Abia States, are steadily progressing. Our hope is that improved budget and Sure-P funding will see quicker action in the months ahead.

“The Ohaozara-Ishiagu road and Enugu-Abakaliki road are some of those that have progressed to good standard. Further attention will be focused on the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene road, which is already being addressed remedially by the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency.”

Dimeji Bankole, a former Speaker of House of Representatives, was seen among some leaders of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, along presidential boulevard, Abeokuta, and is rumoured to be bidding for a gubernatorial seat in the state.

The party secretariat was adorned with Mr. Bankole’s posters, while his supporters sang his praises, calling on him to declare interest in the governorship race on time.

“I am a on a courtesy visit and not for governorship ambition. The purpose is unifying our party. I have come to report my own findings, I come to beg, to appeal. After diagnosis of what happened to us in 2007. Dimeji Bankole never takes any faction of PDP, last time I came to PDP secretariat was 2007.Today’s visit is about making sure we mend fences to give the opposition a good fight. I will continue to make such visits,” Mr. Bankole stated.

Acording to Premiumtimes, he explained the purpose of the unification drive, which was not only to bring all aggrieved members of the party back to the fold, but to as well give the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC good run for their money in the 2015 election.

Meanwhile, he and party leaders engaged in another round of closed door meeting which lasted for over two hours and at the end of the meeting, he spoke to his teeming supporters, but kept mute over his rumoured governorship ambition. He asked them to start mobilizing towards the success of the party ahead of the general elections.

In less than two weeks, has amassed more than 31,000 followers, with women from around the world using the hashtag #LoveYourLines to submit images of their own ‘tiger marks’ – and the stories behind them.

‘#LoveYourLines is a social media photo campaign to help showcase the beauty of the female body,’ explained the East Coast-based mothers, who have asked to remain anonymous. Do you want to share your proud stretch mark body too?
