I give it to Kwara state... The life in Ilorin is so cool and cheap... Transportation is as cheap as #50 and a very friendly environment too... The girls in Tanke Road are very good too (don't ask how I got to know)... I didn't regret staying there.! Osun state is also cool and cheap. #50 bike. Only issue is that Yoruba speaking is necessary else, they'll hike the price of everything. |

iamnlia: Guten morgen mein freunde!
So I've shut myself away completely since mid December, I actually developed an interest in certain fields and decided to pursue that knowledge , for the large part of 3 months I've been chowing esoteric stuff, physics and cryptocurrencies but recently I started feel emotional and kinda depressed because I was really lacking any human contact and I started feeling that I may actually be masturbating too much , in fact the hostel I live in is like Sodom but yet mans got nothing . Recently, I got new neighbours and both girls but no liver to go and knock on that damned door , so one day I just walk up and knock, my heart proceeds to betray me but my liver was steadfast and I sha borrowed matches from them, the next week I asked for matches again and they gave me the whole box . After a week, I said Bleep it and doused myself in lean and knocked on that door, when she opened, I asked to come in and she obliged , I sha sat there looking at her diary while she talked with a friend, when I was about to go I decided to try that wierd thing where you make an assertion or prediction about someone based on what you know. The wierd moment was when I got it as she gave me that face people give full on wierdos. I was devastated , who send me , then I crowned it all when I just went to her house to ask for rizla that I didn't need (don't blame me, mans was starved of human contact).
So three days ago, I made a decision to talk to 3 females daily, preferably strangers. I have a new book for writing down pick up lines for myself, I also need to learn how to manage convo and have located threads on Nairaland that will help me. Hopefully my relationship with people will improve and I strongly hope I don't fall into isolation again. A barrier may be my inability to extend small talk and I have very different taste in things like How everyone loves trap music while I love classical and house music and I'm sort of the only non-theist around. Cool stunt you're pulling bro. I'm INTJ but came across this idea of speaking with @least one girl a day. First Lagos attempt was last week. See me, 'I'm Charles', 'I'm Patience' and quickly concluded the convo 'I'm rushing to work' Babe! Help a guy now. Which kind dropping be that one. I'll keep pushing shaaa. But why does everyone in Lagos look strange to the other (like say ah be thief)? |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 3 Tips To Add Personality To Your Resume by olumbest(m): 8:13am On Feb 19, 2018 |
LaEvilIMiss: Nice. I just have a few points to contribute or ask if they make sense
1: It says much about honest (guided) expression and some informal (personal) affinity that the Resume reader or Interviewer may notice but does this apply to entry, mid-level or senior positions.
2: What is more important, the introductory summary, project experience or previous positions held. where would you put expressive weight on more
3: Is it in the Nigeria context or International.. it seems with globalization and the access to internet, Nigerians can actually access job openings abroad. does the popular ATS system allow for such expression? 1. Infomal statements are not for ur resume. You can drop them during interviews (if u don'tknw how to set a boundaryto this, avoid it all together). This is to avoid the HR seeing u as a bunch of unserious human being. *Environment matters* 2. More weight should be laid on your work experiences. Your most recent comes first with heavy emphasis and little emphasis on other supporting experiences. However, for fresh graduates, you have to add weight to your course work and other activities like Rotract membership, miss University, faculty secretary etc (since u av lesser work experience) Have a lovely day! |

ahmstrng: EPISODE 3
Dear Diary I have not been myself since the 14 of February, and I can’t bring myself to tell my roommate why I have been moody, how can I? When she came back three days after valentine with stuff I can’t bring myself to look at, I refused to even look at pictures of her and her Fiance, she had gotten annoyed and called me “bad belle” and I agreed. She had ignored me for days thinking it was one of my “senseless mood swings”, she started paying attention to me when she found me soaked in tears while listening to Brandy’s Long Distance, I refused to tell her what or who is making me cry but I know she knows it has a lot to do with Jhay, he hasn’t been calling neither have I been calling him as well, how can he not compliment me? How could go on and on about his mother’s car but wouldn’t find the words to describe what I look like? And to think he was taking me to his parents house? What sort of rude shock is that? His sister doesn’t even like me, what if I look like a scarecrow in my shift dress… I feel so miserable and empty, I hate my roommate and her happiness, her stupid Fiance calls almost every minute, jeez…I hate the fact that she is happy and am not, and that idiotic smile on her face when they are talking on phone annoys me. I don’t think I would be attending the stupid Campus Blast this weekend, to hell with stupid Dbanj, Wizkid, and everybody else that stupid telecommunication company is bringing, everything and everyone is stupid…. Even this silly diary I am writing in is stupid, Jhay is stupid and whoever reads my diary without my permission is STUPID! Hey, yo! Are u calling me stupid? |

Career › Re: A Thread For Personal Development, Self Growth And Motivation! by olumbest(m): 4:08pm On Sep 28, 2017 |
Magnoliaa: I want to ask, in what ways/terms can one pay for 'that' price to succeed? Like. . . . .denying oneself of pleasure and comfort till later in the future? You already knw the answer. The only problem most people, including me, have is knowing HOW to live with the price. Can you endure seeing your friends party all night without feeling left out? Or going to bed with empty stomach for close to two weeks? Can you spend 5weeks of your life living in a car? Or trade your first samples on the streets (or mkt) without feeling shy and inferior? Do you think you can leave your degree certificate and work in an environment surrounded by O' level holders without feeling imakwa ndi anyi bu? Or can you put your dreams on hold while you spend close to 5years serving someone? . Sometimes it's simply about taking action. . However, paying the price for success is different for everyone. What price i paid to succeed (assuming i came from an average backgroun) might be utterly different from what a guy from a kingmaker family will pay to succeed. . Just take actions and calculated risks. That's all that really matters now. . Hope this explanation wasn't messy? |
