PoliticsRe: 5 Takeaways From Saraki’s Response To Tinubu by Olumeme: 9:55am On Aug 21, 2018
deebsman1:
Saraki should enjoy his moment of 'fake popularity' it won't last long.

Saraki has ambitions, Tinubu has so what's the noise about.

Thank God Tinubu said it's 2023 he's eyeing not 2019, so what's the problem with that? I could remember at the 2015 presidential campaign at Teslim Balogun stadium, in front of the crowd including Buhari and Saraki himself, Tinubu said it emphatically that he's giving up his own presidential ambition because of Buhari and in the interest of the country. No be say dem tell me dis, I hear am with my ear nii and c am with my korokoro eye
Saraki should say something else.
It's not a bad thing have ambitions, if Tinubu have ambition for 2023, it's not bad for Saraki to have ambition for 2019 na.

In 2011, Saraki wanted to be president too but the northern caucus presented Atiku and he stepped down even in 2015, he said he had ambition too, but stepped down for national inteetst.

He claimed his fight with TINUBU started when he against Muslim/Muslim ticket in 2014.

He went ahead and said "TINUBU complained that he doesn't like the style of Buhari's government".

Does that mean TINUBU called you to tell you this even when you are bitter enemy?

LOL. Only fools will accept this. All this is just to cause quarrel between Tinubu and Buhari. NEXT
If you have any iota of sense, you'll know that Tinubu suffered disrespect from this government, even his wife opened up in an interview with TVC that his husband was THRASHED Immidiately he helped buhari gets into power.

I'll tell you for free the only way a Tinubu will support Buhari for a second term is because they expect power to shift to the South west in 2023
PoliticsRe: Saraki: Tinubu Will Support Buhari On Hospital Stretcher To Succeed Him In 2023 by Olumeme: 10:21pm On Aug 20, 2018
Tinubu is a very greedy animal.
He thinks he's the best thing to happen after slice bread, the people he's working for thrashed him in 2015 after winning the election only to come back when they discovered that he's needed, he'll be eventually used and dumped.

Tinubu is pained that, his puppet and car washer gbajabiamila was defeated in the speakership position while Saraki defeated his candidate, Lawan to be the senate president.

Tinubu should know clearly that, what Saraki has achieved, he can never ever achieve it in his lifetime, it's will be on record that, Saraki is the Number 3 man in the country, while Tinubu is a mere local politician in Lagos putting his children and grand children in positions

I want people to also mark this today, Tinubu will never ever rule Nigeria as president, he will be probably put where he belongs in 2019 after Buhari has rigged himself in, he will be taught a more bitter lesson like they did after 2015 election.

The senate under the leadership of Bukola Saraki is the best thing to ever happen to Nigeria since 2015 politically, they have stood the tyranny and militarization of Buhari and his cohorts, Nigeria belongs to all of us, and so no one can cajole anyone to support dictatorial tendencies.

I also applaud Saraki and encourage him to always keep the certificateless man in check, we the ordinary people will always stand by him.

Long Live Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki
Long live Oloye
Long live Kwara State
Long live Peoples Democratic Party.

seunmsg:
Politics is all about interest, whether selfish or altruistic. In 2015, Tinubu wanted the vice presidency position while Saraki wanted to become Senate president. They both pursued their personal ambition that is within their rights. Attacking Tinubu based on his 2015 aspiration is plain silly.

As regards 2019, it is again all about interest, selfish or altruistic. Tinubu is supporting Buhari because his group will stand a good chance of getting the presidency in 2023. Igbo's are supporting Atiku with the hope that south east will get the vice presidency and subsequently get the presidency after his tenure. Atiku, Saraki, Tambuwal, Kwakwanso etc all rejoined PDP simply because of their presidential ambition. Power will go back to the south for 8 years if Buhari wins a second term. So, they have to fight it out with him now. Politics is all about interest, alignment, positioning and calculation.
If they pursued their personal interests, why are you now saying Saraki attacking Tinubu is plain silly.
Tinubu attacked first, and he set the records straight. Saraki has never been the first to attack Tinubu, because he's busy delivering dividends of democracy to the public through the senate.
Tinubu is still pained that Saraki defeated his candidate and also help Dogara defeat his puppet to become speaker

There was no way Saraki would have stayed back in APC, infact, he should have left long time ago, he was persecuted, called names, charged by the party he contributed to and helped win elections.

Though I don't have any pity for politicians, but Saraki for carpeting Tinubu is nonsensical

It's very clear, 50% of APC senators are comfortable with Saraki

1. Some are his colleagues when they were governor and they won't want to fight him
2. Some have gotten juicy committee chairmanship positions and won't want to risk the loosing it should a new leadership emerge
3. Some are not just comfortable with the party's position, especially the gra gra Oshiomole is doing..

Buhari will still win in 2019.
I don't want to hear story that he did not turn Nigeria to Dubai because he did only one term.

More suffering await Nigerians till 2023

TravelRe: The Cost Of Living In Suleja Vs That Of Lagos by Olumeme: 9:44pm On Aug 19, 2018
twinskenny:
maraba nyanyan is so rough bro.. suleja is nice i was paying 1k per room that time lol face me i face you
Maraba is not even as rough as suleja, suleja is very tight, the roads are single lane while maraba has good double lane.
Maraba enjoys good electricity.
I have stayed in suleja and minna before.

For example, Karu site, Abacha road, and new Karu are far better than suleja..

The only problem is hold up, which is not even as bad ad an average hold up in Lagos.
My colleagues that stay there leave home around 6:45 and get to work before 8.
Suleja is more than an hour to abuja town, depending on where you are staying sef
TravelRe: The Cost Of Living In Suleja Vs That Of Lagos by Olumeme: 8:45pm On Aug 19, 2018
I stay in Abuja, cost of living is suleja is very cheap, you can get a good self contain for 70k, cost of feeding is relatively cheap too.

The problem I have with suleja is that, transportation to Town is a little bit expensive, it's up to 1300 to and Fro depending on where you're going to.

I'll have advised you stay around Maraba/Nyanya, u'll get self contain around that cost, with cheaper transport cost around 600 to and Fro depending on where you're going to.

Even Saraki is scared. He doesnt trust his PDP goons. Getting their signatures to impeach him might be easier than banging the gavel
Way to dream.. Even APC is not sure of all their members signing.
For example Shehu Sani has said he won't sign to impeach Saraki, others like Danjuma Goje, Sabi Abdullahi, Kabir Marafa, are those am very sure will not sign.
It's easier to go to heaven than impeach a senate president or President himself.

PoliticsRe: Ambode Spends Over 100mn Euros On Lagos Light Rail Project by Olumeme: 9:22pm On Aug 16, 2018
RockHard:
Eh.. this has been trashed here before. They are not the same model. Besides, the Lagos one has met with series of challenges that's affected its timely delivery.

Lagos light rail is elevated for most parts since it runs on swampy land and it's also a 2 way rail.

You'll have to calculate the cost of the pilings, the concrete footings and it's larger size to accommodate the 2 trains at the same time.

It also crosses a water body and it's complete with a super highway that runs alongside it with pedestrian bridges linking the train stations which are also elevated.

The Ethiopian Lightrail runs on land and is a normal railway line with stops alongside it.

Their specifications and topography are miles apart, hence the cost difference and delivery timing. (Credit to ba7man).
They will always have something to say, but I can assure you that, half of the money will surely get that project done.
Ask those who knows about government contracts and procurements

SportsRe: Sergio Ramos Opposes Ronaldo Statement: No One Is Above Real Madrid by Olumeme: 12:36pm On Aug 15, 2018
Amberon1:
I disagree.

Ronaldo and Messi are bigger than Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. Yes both will clubs will continue but will they be the same without those players?

Let's watch and see who will match their records there. Both are no longer just football players. They are gods.
Ronaldo is not bigger than Real Madrid, because the club has been very successful before he joined, infact, their success attracted him to the club, Ronaldo forced his transfer to Real Madrid that time.
Ronaldo is not influential in Madrid, infact, he's not the all time best player among the fans ..

MESSI on the other hand is greater than Barcelona, he was brought up there, he's part of their most successful Era, their fortune and team is built around him, if Messi don't like you in Barca, you'll be sacked, Messi can never ever be sold for any price, the club fortune will crash if he leaves, they will definitely retire his jersey if he hangs his boot..
Messi is very influential not just to the club but to Catalonia, he's the best player in Barcelona as well as football history (arguably)
