Politics / Re: Obidients Accuse Mark Essien Of Bias As Polled Results Hint That Obi Lost by olumide4christ: 7:51am On Mar 10, 2023
abc115:
Mark Essien recently set up a website where they started collating the results of votes in the last presidential election. The aim was to prove that their Principal, the leader of the labour party movement and presidential candidate Peter Obi won the election. But to everyone's suprise, APC took an surprising lead.

They now shut down the results saying it is based on the advice of their legal team when APC started leading their verified Results

Na wa for these Nairaland mods!

I saw this thread topic on front page less than an hour ago and now, it has been removed from front page.

I had to use some key words in the title to search for it.

@Seun, @Mynd44, why was this thread removed from front page? Is it because of the narrative it seems to portray?

SMH!

I remembered when Buhari came into power, there were jubilation from right, left and centre, and after the jubilation came sorrow.

People were kidnapped, bokoharam decimated villages and bandits started their raping and ransacking most villages in the entire north west region and many more that we may not remember now.

But in the midst of these crises, they were booms and downs in the economy, people became extremely poor and some were extremely rich like never before.

Now,how have u guys fared in these 7years of Buhari considering the cost of living in our today's economy and what have u achieved so far?

I have progressed immensely in the last 8 years.
- I got 2 cars in 2019
- I got new clients in 2018 who brought new projects and of course, quite a lot of money.
- I landed my biggest project so far in 2018... project is still ongoing.
- I had my 2 children within the last 8 years
- I set up and registered 2 new business firms between 2019 and now.
- I clocked 40 years during the period.
- I gained clarity and made progress in my coaching and digital products business.
- I moved my building project forward during the period.

Just because APC lost Lagos to you, you are claiming APC didn't get 25% in Lagos and your agents didn't contest the results as they were being read at the inec offices in Lagos.

This is a joke taken too far.

Grand delusion is their problem!

If they have the hard evidence, let them come forward. Let them spool out the evidence from their situation room now.

In the 2 polling units in the primary school where I voted in Mushin, Lagos, there was no LP agent throughout the voting process, up till the counting of ballot papers and announcement of results. Only APC and PDP agents were on hand, no other party agents showed up. I know that there would be so many other polling units all over the country where LP didn't have party agents.

How will they get the hard evidence to prove that they were rigged out if they had no agents in all the polling units?

LP, for one, is just making mouth, they will find it hard to prove that they won, if at all they won.

It is the same bvas machine used for accreditation for the presidential elections that were used for the house of rep and senatorial elections simultaneously, or did you do different accreditations for presidential, house of assembly and senatorial elections?

That you choose to agree the result of one and reject the other is mind blowing, it seems to me alot of you do not know the primary function of the bvas. Did you vote on the bvas? You thumb printed your vote on the ballot paper with party names and logos, u thereafter castes it in the ballot box.
At the end of that exercise, votes were duely counted in the presence of every interested voter and party agants, the final result for each PU is then announced and signed by party agents present and original copies of signed results giving to each party's agents.
It is after this stage that final results are then transmitted to INEC server for the general public to access.
That it's not transmitted immediately or not does not alter the final results, when INEC transmits and it's not in conformity with the results with agents then INEC's result becomes null and void, and questionable.

Why haven't all party agents been unable to bring final result to expose the rigging done by INEC for APC against the PDP and LP? It's been 5days after the elections already, what is stopping them from publishing the correct results from there PU's as alleged?

Are they manufacturing new results to publish to this gullible mob so as to get media sympathy?
I will write again..

So those abokis in Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Bauchi and the sorts voted massively for you?

The church deceived you with fake prophecies that God will perform "magic." God works by principles and His realm honours a higher sacrifice. The winner of the election sacrificed more - built and positioned men, planned ahead of time (even before 1999), joined forces with others, etc. Who did you raise and positioned in government for this your adventure?

You also played tribal and religious cards. Your tribe and religion helped you but it wasn't enough. The winner reached out to all and spoke their language, you didn`t do this. Your interest was to attend tarry nights and conventions of churches. Nigeria is bigger than this.

Indeed sir, you have performed more than expected, you have made a loud statement, you have raised the standard. Don't allow people to push you to blindness. The winner has emerged and there's nothing you can do about it. Rest, restrategize, build allegiance and try again. Your time will come.

This is one of the best posts I have read all day! You put in great perspective and buttressed many things I even as a Christian, have been saying all this while.

Keep it up, sir!

I hope Peter Obi heeds your advice.

Kobonaire4:
No, Obi lost the election

He lost it because of two things...he became the Christian and Southern candidate, and secondly and most importantly, he did not focus on the North.

Let's start with the second point. You cannot win an election in Nigeria without getting at least a significant portion of the vote in the Northern part of Nigeria. You cannot. Even Obasanjo knew that...that is why he focused a lot on wooing Northern politicans when he was in power, and even GEJ knew that...that is why he campaigned heavily in the North.

How did Obi do in the North. Badly. Very badly. Note that Tinubu did not win every state in the North, but he did win second place in many states in the North. That gave him at least 25% in many parts of the North...which when it came down to the wire....was very crucial.

When we kept on shouting that LP should get followers in the North, and should do active mobilization, people came and were abusing us to high heavens. Well, see how the poor campaign turned out. At the eleventh hour, the LP state chairmen were already predicting doom and gloom. They knew. Not enough mobilization, nothing.

And then let's be honest. Religion plays a part in Nigerian elections (which is why Tinubu ran to mosque to show face). LP , am sorry to say, made Obi the christian candidate. And they did that by being so abusive, and so insulting to Muslims...note...people whose votes you need....to the point that people thought that Obi did not like muslims. And the LP supporters REFUSED to listen to Obi when he told them to pipe down...they continued. Meanwhile, Muslims have ears and eyes. They heard, they remembered and they came out and voted.....and at the end, we lost a large chunk of votes that could have gotten Obi somewhere....because some jokes think that abusing religion works in an election.

Yeah, call a Muslim boko Haram (the same Boko haram that has killed many of them, and kidnapped their children), and all sorts of abusive languages..in a effing election year, and you expect victory?

(Remember why Buhari lost 3 times? Because in 2001 he came and said that he was going to impose Sharia on all Nigerians. Christians remembered, and never forgot...and it hurt Buhari well well...until 2014 when he woke up and changed strategy).

At the end, any LP supporter that comes and says they won the election , Im sorry, but until the evidence proves it, ye are just talking nansense. (And in this case, if the evidence proves LP won....when all the INEC documents get examined in court...I will be happy to eat my words, as I want APC out completely.) The honest truth is that to win elections in Nigeria, you need to be like MTN and you need to stop abusing people's religion and people's tribes and calm down. And you need to form alliances and stay in a big party.....because if Obi, Kwakwaso and Wike had not been so ego driven, and if Atiku had not been so 'I must be president in my lifetime'...APC would have been losing, and Tinubu would have been screaming that he was cheated out of victory .

Next time, let the opposition run as a united front. And don't attack anyone's religion or tribe for gods sake.

Wow!
This is such a down to earth write up. I had to read through to the end.

All you have written buttresses all we have been telling them all along but they refused to listen. I as a Christian noted that Peter Obi visiting all the churches where he had never visited in his lifetime just because he was now a presidential candidate was selling his candidacy as a Christian candidate, and not a national candidate.

For me, I knew that it wasn't the right thing for him to do and was going to adversely affect him at the polls. After all, Peter Obi wasn't the 1st Christian candidate to contest for president in this country. Goodluck Jonathan and Obasanjo were both Christians but they never frolicked with the church during campaign the way Peter Obi did.

I just hope Labour party and Obidients will learn from the facts you have stated.

1. Peter Obi wins "Tinubu's" Lagos. But you are still saying INEC is rigging for Tinubu just so that when Tinubu wins Katsina, you will say it was rigged.

Oh wait. Atiku won Katsina, Buhari's State.

So really how many persons do you want to accuse INEC of rigging for? Why not accept where your candidate lose?

2. So Obi can win Lagos, it is not rigging. But Amoda Ogunlere cannot win Osun that you said he is from, it is rigging.

Oh wait. Tinubu did not even win Osun. Atiku did. So what are you saying please? You thought Obi will win Osun??

3. Obi went to Kano and went straight to Sabon Gari where you have Igbos and minority Christians.

That is the divisive campaign Obi ran yet you will shout rigging if Tinubu wins Kano.

Oh wait. It is Kwankwaso that is winning Kano despite being an enemy of the sitting APC Governor!

Again, what are you saying

4. In the South East where Obi is from, Obi is winning by 90%

In the South West where Tinubu is from, Obi has won Lagos, Atiku took Osun. But when Tinubu takes Ekiti, it is rigging.

What is wrong with you guys?

5. Obi is winning in Edo State. If you add PDP and APC votes and times it by 2, Obi is still winning. This is a State where there is a PDP Governor and a Former APC National Chairman.

But it is rigging anywhere Obi is not winning. How can a people be this bigoted?

6. I have read, on WhatsApp, people saying they will poison food and give to Northerners for not voting Obi.

I have read people here saying they will never give a Northern beggar any money for not voting Obi.

Meanwhile Obi is clearing the South South and South East and Northerners are not threatening anyone. And you will call them uncivilized?

7. An unknown Labour party candidate for House of Rep, defeated the APC and PDP to win Etin-Osa Fed. Constituency in Lagos.

The APC guy was Obanikoro's son. The PDP guy was Banky W the musician. Both floored by a Labour party candidate people didn't know.

But the election was rigged is coming from the mouth of Labour party supporters.

8. Another unknown Labour party candidate defeated the APC and PDP in the major Senatorial Election in Edo.

The gap was almost 200%. If you add the PDP and APC votes together, the unknown Labour candidate still beat them with over 50k votes and these were not small candidates. They are the two most influential people in Benin!

But Labour Party supporters are still shouting rigging, failed election. Does this make sense

9. Obi is heading to 500,000 votes in Enugu. Whereas Tinubu has less than 5,000 votes in the whole Enugu.

This is not rigged, but wherever Tinubu wins is rigged.

10. Atiku's VP is the GOVERNOR of Delta State.

In Delta State, Obi has won 11 out of the 16 Local Government Areas annoinced so far.

But his supporters are still shouting the election is rigged. Is that not madness?

NB: If you cause the war you are using to bully everyone we will all suffer it. Pat Utomi that is encouraging you will carry his oyinbo face and seek asylum somewhere in America or Europe where he will collect cool breeze and return after your demise to claim hero of democracy. Use sense.
