Alcatraz005: Are you be any means referring to the Yoruba and Igbo Cold War? If yes, that Cold War would soon metamorphose to a real civil war in Nigeria. We are appalled with what is happening in Libya but the Yoruba race cannot continue to turn a blind eye to igbo hate. These wars online would soon spill offline and there shall be massive loss of lives and destruction of property. Yorubas are not the cause of Igbo misfortune in Nigeria. Igbo should rather look inward and go back enmasse to the east. Another roaming iidiot! |

ezeagu: But it's the same Africans that manged the Benin Empire, Songhai, etc. It's easy to say they are stupid, but how do you account for the past. Africa's problem is ignorance and laziness and possibly even fear. Ezeagu , ekene julu m' onu. You see, like you rightly pointed out the root of African problem is ignorance and Nigeria being the most populous country and claim to be the giant is yet to elect the kind of leader that will shun ethnic sentiments and pull the country together. |

Reuters ◢ TUE MAY 26, 2015 / 9:25 PM EDT Desperate Kenyan maids abused in Middle East despite ban Katy Migiro NAIROBI (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - In Lebanon, a Kenyan maid has bleach poured over her head as punishment for cleaning the bathroom too slowly by an employer who threatens to send her home in a box.
In Saudi Arabia, another domestic worker from Kenya is given a grim choice: sex with the boss or death.
"I felt like I was a prostitute," she recalled. "I used to obey because I wanted to come back to my country safely."
Lured by the promise of well-paid work and a chance to escape joblessness at home, hundreds of thousands of Kenyans are thought to be employed in the Middle East, sending much-needed remittances to their families every year.

Litmus: While trying to find evidence for actual Nigerians and not Nigeriens caught up in the Slave issue in Libya, came across lots of articles on Kenyans taken as slaves to Europe as far back as 2008. I'm not going to post such stuff on here, exploiting the suffering of others to score cheap point, but I did feel it is telling how nothing came of such inhuman actions in the Media. However, the world shakes when there is perception that “Nigerians” may have been treated similarly Anyway, learned that people from all sorts of nations were routinely sold as slaves in Libya. Seems that the slavery is similar to what happened to some Syrian refugees in that these migrants like the Syrian refugees are sold to those people that cart them of across the Mediterranean sea on those rubber dingy, rigidity boats and trawlers that we see on our TV screens. Sort of like franchise business in which migrants or refugees unable to meet cost are doomed to suffer whatever fate the trafficking chain deems fit Kenyans, Ethiopians and Somalis were mostly the slaves taken to the middle east. Its no secret. And we Nigerians face a more daunting task due to our population. |

liberalsinnerx: Though I agree of you, our people must understand the systematic marginalization of SE and SS with respect to Airports and Seaports. Let me say this very clearly, Nigerian government will go to another war, bomb Anambra to stone age, raised everything to the ground than to see a cargo and passenger airport sprung up in SE; particularly the cargo airport which sends a strong message of economic Independence. Our people underestimate the systematic marginalization against us. Ibaka seaport in Akwa Ibom, they have warned Akpabio and Udom, if dare proceed with this seaport project, EFCC will come after you. If that fails, we will take you out. While they are denying SE and SS economic independence, as I speak now, Lagos is building a third seaport; to see how wicked these people are. All these are by design, carefully engineered to keep SE and SS dependent on One Nigeria, they know that's the only way One Nigeria will continue. The day Port Harcourt, Warri, Onne, Calabar, Onitsha and Ibaka(when built) ports become fully functional at 100% like Lagos ports, and international airports in Port Harcourt, Enugu, Uyo, Calabar, Umueri(when built), Owerri and Asaba become full functional at 100% like Lagos and Abuja airports, that day Nigeria will technically cease to exist; what do we need them for? They know this and will never allow that to happen! I don't believe this crap you wrote here. |

Yyeske: Good points you proffered too but decongesting Main Market has been ongoing over the years, remember when traders dealing in electrical fittings were moved to Oba from Moore, Sanniez etc streets, other traders took over, same happened when electronics traders were moved from Iweka road to the express, Abada traders from Nottidge, Key and building material traders to Ogidi etc, you'll find out that another group of traders take their place leading to the congestion around Main Market. Solution to this IMHO is that government should stop other traders going to those places that had been decongested. This is very disheartening, I swear. I am sick of all these primitive behavior from our traders and nobody is doing anything to stop this. At first , I liked Obiano but I am beginning to see he doesn't have the drive to take Anambra to that level of world standard. There is a reason why these people were moved. Rochas did it at Owerri and after all the crying and wailing everybody shut up. This can't continue. |

A comprehensive drainage system in Onicha and environs, Awka and environs and Nnewi. Those little tiny roads in Nnewi should be made a one way traffic ,instead of two ways that cause unnecessary traffic jams.
I want aggressive reforestation of Anambra... We have very little land and we must use them judiciously. Some best trees native to our soil must be plated. I want 2 million trees planted every year for the next 5 years.
I don't want to see barren ground, everywhere must be covered with lush green grass and maintenance kept up with. There is no reason why we should have bad roads in Onicha and environs, Oka and Nnewi. Living shouldn't be so painful.
Fix transportation and ban Okada and and vehicles unfit to ply the roads.
Bring more buses and taxi, neat ones please.
Build more prisons where I am gonna lock up lunatics when I become the governor...Nafa Olisa!
Complete the conference center on time.
Continue working on the erosion sites. Waste disposal must be fixed in Anambra, else Obiano is a danm failure. No excuses!
Empower the youths with cooperatives and grow more food. We cant find your rice anywhere in the market and that means you don't grow enough.
Build more hotels of international standards not those ashawo chalet littered everywhere in Owerri.
Promote our culture by encouraging all Anambra towns to recreate their ancient traditions and build projects in town that leads in showcasing their cultures.

Some of the things I expect Obiano to address after his victory parade.
To dualize all the major roads in the three major towns of Nnewi,Onicha and Oka.
Finish the airport you started.
Complete all power projects and ensure steady power supply for the industrial clusters.
Make sure all the abandoned malls and hotels like Agulu and the one at Onicha are completed. Fix that derelict eke Oka.
Make Anambra the destination for education like tertiary institutions and make our secondary schools the most sought after.
Finish the orient refinery and increase production up to 50,000 barrel a day.
Retrain all those poorly educated teachers that are teaching our kids nonsense...This is very dear to me. Most of these teacher can't spell their own name.
Teachers college must be upgraded to the best capacity. Decongestion of Onicha main market...What goes on at Onicha is third world trading. These traders must sell up, form a cooperative and with the support of the government go into production not selling some cheap goods from China. It takes a radical to carry out this very task...Onicha much change !!
To be cont'd |

I was watching one video on YouTube with some dude that 'analyses' football. It was a reaction video to our game against Argentina. Dude knew nobody on our team (not even Mikel, for real?), from his 'analysis' you can tell dude only knows Messi cuz he kept saying how Messi was not in the game. Anyway, he's American, what did I expect?
There was this other chic I watched and I think her followers had more to do with the fact that she has great jugs than her knowledge of football, because once again, I heard nothing. She's swedish
I think I'll just stick to the British pundits next time, at least they have a substantial knowledge of the game I know the chic. |

the most successful movies in Nigeria are wedding party, Ay's trip to jaimace and suncity then fifty.
both Ay movies were under corporate pictures. the MD is a Yoruba man!!! Ay himself is not IBO.
the wedding party is the number one and Yoruba dominated
fifty which is number four was directed and produced by Yoruba people (biyi bamidele and tope oshin!!! how about that for control and dominance bring another lie
half of a yellow sun is the most successful IBO film after okafor's law at number 7 spot and the director is biyi bamdele a Yoruba man!!!

MayorofLagos: What aspect of Nollywood did you create? Please share with us.
Were you the first to make and sell distributed movies in Nigeria, or was the distribution channel created by Igbo?
Were you the first to stage act in theater, or was the theater built, or owned by Igbo?
Was any of your play, act or recorded film the first to be shown in cinemas, or was the cinema built or owned by Igbo?
Were you the first to put Nigerian film on international scene?
Answer me, what aspect of Nollywood did you pioneer? This matter has been trashed out so many times and you always end up losing...lol The Nigerian movie industry known as Nollywood was started with the introduction of living in bondage produced by Okechukwu Ogunjioffor. You can rant all day online but you have a Yoruba movie industry ,Nollywood has no relationship with with theater nor soap opera. ogbonti: Before 1914, there was no king in the whole of eastern Nigeria. It was a republican setting with the ofalla or ogbuefi title holders, given to men who made wealth and are respected, these men were leaders of council of elders but NOT KINGS.... NEW Igbo Kingdoms were created there to experiment indirect rule of the British colonialists using traditional rulers to collect taxes, it worked in the north and west because they had functioning kings, but it failed in the east because the new “emergency Kings” had no traditional powers or cultural backbone to effect taxation, that was one of the reasons they had the Aba women riot of 1929, go read your history... today, Igbos, are using nollywood to propagate falsehoods of an igwe and his ancestors that never existed before 1914 Be silent ! You don't know anything about precolonial Igbo land. Assuming you know you wouldn't have written the above nonsense. Before the whites arrived Igbo land we had what we call Eze Obodo/Eze Ani who were the custodians of the culture and traditions but they held little to no political power, just the might to enforce traditions. Before the white men some of the popular kings in Igbo land were EZE NRI, OBI OF ONITSHA, EZE ARO, EZE IWEKA, IGWE ORIZU etc. Beyond the traditional stool we have Nze na Ozo and Ndichie who deliberated on matter bothering the town. We didn't not operate monarchy system like Bini and others because of our Republican nature. We believe in the theory of onye fee Eze and Nwata kwochaa meaning we can all be kinds in our own right. In Anambra we have the Nze na Ozo noble society which any rich and forthright man can join after rites. Our title men have a personal chamber called Obi/Obu/ Iba where the title man receives visitors. A title man doesn't live in nkpuke, the female quarters. Igbos have very beautiful culture that is also marketable. We have some of the most beautiful traditions in Africa and I am being honest. That's why people love nollywood, its the Igbo culture . Igbo culture has brought fame to Nigeria. Igbo is a very wealthy and powerful tribe and our influence is just starting to gain ground after the brutal war that has held us behind while every tribe excelled. Your hate is full of hate. |
