gunuvi: omenka why do you want to derail this thread as if it doesn't concerns you as these questions are begging for answers.
pls do the needful and get out of this thread if you don't feel comfortable with those pertinent questions.
I'm not uncomfortable with anyone asking "pertinent" questions, I'm against people spreading blatant falsehood and sourceless lies just to promote some ignominious agenda. If the op himself wants to ask those questions, why not caption the writeup to reflect they are his or a journalist's instead of making it appear as though they were asked my British MPs?? That is my grouse.

That said, my question still stands: what accounted for the burgeoned subsidy expenditure of 2011 till this dayhuh

A government stumbling from one failure to another!! Little surprise here. It is their trademark.
If Jonathan is not failing, then, he's not working!!

Alisha4U: What if the answer is yes, would you be able to debunk it with credible statistics?
How the heck would you expect me to debunk it with credible statshuh Isn't the onus on the government to prove indeed that there was justification for the rise in payments?? I ask if there was, if if they say yes, then they are to prove there really was. Abi where you you go learn ur own law from??undecided

By the way, where on earth do you imagine there could be 400% rise in the number of vehicles or generators (items that mostly account for petroleum products usage) in a SINGLE year?? Was there a corresponding percentage rise in duties collected for imported vehicles?? Seriously, you guys really need to start applying your senses in the process of reasoning.

Anyone who imagines that that is possible must have screws loose upstairs!!

You may create another forum and propagate lies unchallenged but please don't tell me what to write.

And I thought your JagaBandit is the one who was indicted by US authorities for laundering drug money and subsequently forfeited $460,000 or so to them rather than face serious jail time shocked
Smart crook and Smooth Criminal all rolled into one transformed into Asiwaju of Area Boys angry
Jagaban goes to the US as he pleases. Can your Lord Commander Baruji Kashamu take a brief trip to the US?? He would definitely find befitting lodgings in Alcatraz. Good thing Al Capone and Joe Bunano are dead. grin

What kind of useless piece of misleading article is this?? Why is the op making it look as though the MPs asked these questions themselves when it is a Nigerian asking them??

By the way, ONE simple question the man from Otuoke hasn't been able to answer since 2011 is: what accounted for the astronomical rise in subsidy payments in 2011?? Did the number of cars in the country quadruple?? Did the number of generators quadruple?? Did the number of stoves quadruple?? Did Nigeria's population quadruple?? What was it??!!

sammieguze: Yes na.

I still stick to my thought

The Nigerian government wanted some cache of weapons in South Africa and so they borrowed Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's private jet. Probably because the giant of Africa could not find a befitting aircraft amongst her fleets of military planes to transport the intended weapons for them, not even among the 10 private jets in President's fleet. It is Ayo Oritsejafor's jet that was the best.
Meanwhile, Ayo Oritsejafor did not know that the government intended to use his jet to buy weapons. He leased his jet to a 2nd person ( Eagle Air) and the 2nd person leased to the 3rd (Green Coast Produce) and then the 3rd to the 4th (One Mr John Ishyaku) or so (who happens to be an agent of the government wit one person and an Israeli with 9.3 million dollars).
Sorry, I get it, the Israeli told our government that they should rather buy weapons from South-Africa instead of his country, Israel, because it is better for SA to take the money than Israel who supposedly makes better weapons. Wow! wat a nyc man nd very generous of the Israeli. So Israelis buy weapons for us. Military experts from our country did not have to follow to inspect the weapons and the inventory. Beautiful!
Also, the South African government was unaware that the Nigerian government was coming to buy weapons in their country. In their shock, they seized the jet and the money. Well, buying arms is more or less like buying noodles. It is not a serious thing and so any government can walk into another country without informing the host country that they intend buying weapons in their country. So foreign government just walk into another country like that, buy weapons and then off they go. Wondaful!
Una do well! Moreover, tot d man said dey bought him d jet to ease his duty and support his ministry. is he nw using d jet as Kabu Kabu ni? is d money coming frm d Kabu kabu goin bak into d ministry or personal pocket?
Shebi, Any transaction btw two countries are bn done by d Central Banks? Morever, I tot d F.G now insist on Cashless Banking or it is not effective to d Ogas at d top? Moreso, where is such huge money comin frm b4 getting into d suit cases?
Many Questions dat requires unlimited ansas...

brownlords: So much for this okrika born turn Yoruba meruwa boy, no offence, do you make use of your brain atall? You are the most confused and bigoted soul on this forum, you need get a life bro
He makes use of his brain. I think you should look in the mirror and ask the person you see staring back at you that question. Since he decided not to see things from the conventional perspective of intransigent TANoids, he has turned a "Yoruba Meruwa" huh?? I feel so damn sorry for some of you and pity the kids that will bear the misfortune of being raised by parents like yourself. Pray tell, what in God's gracious name can be said to be this admin's legacy?? All they have bequeathed on Nigeria is "Corruption Inc" and Ethnoreligious Politicking.

In you people's minds, the Bamanga Tukurs and Labaran Makus of this world are not "Ab¤kis" but the Lai Mohameds and El Rufais are, and that is the same dangerous orientation you are bound to pass unto your progeny!! Isn't that a pity??

Fixed! How do you like it now??

Jonathan's atrocities stink to high heavens and he knows that the only way he could guarantee his freedom is to remain in power, that explains his utter desperation for 2015. But come what may, he's not gonna remain there forever, and the gates of the slammer shall come knocking sooner than he thinks.
