mikeapollo: Please, stop that Fashola nonesense!
I dont know why some of you people are blind to the fact that Fashola hates the poor and does not have any policies or compassion for the poor!
Do you want tuition fees in Federal universities to be hiked to N5m per seesion? and deny poor students the benefits of higher education?

Do you want all Nigerian medical doctors/university lecturers to be sacked and all hospitals/universities grounded because a stupid and foolish egocentric person somewhere wanted to flex his muscles with people demanding their legitimate rights, while the maases continue to die and suffer?

Fashola is a doomed failure. All he does is to award contracts for flowers and inflated road contracts where he can cut his share, while education and health services, the main sectors that benefit the masses directly are neglected!
I am not mikeapollo and can never think like you. It's hightime you know that the world is changing. If you are still thinking that Govt will provide things free, you are dreaming, it's better you wake from your slumber.
If you want to live in a developed country, stop having free thing mentality. There was a time when things were free but now you have to pay. Govt needs to provide securities, infrastructure, stable power, business environment e.t.c that will enable citizens to depend on theirselves by carrying out economic activities

OP,you have to be strong. What can't kill will make you strong. The situation you are now suppose be a source of motivation to a greater height. Crime is never the answer. If you surrender to crime you will become a failure and your life will be miserable.
I'm happy to be who I am today. It was not easy but by God's grace I can leave my footprint on the sand of time.
There's nothing that joys my heart than seeing myself in the midst of great nairalanders robbing minds together.

It happened to me 3 times. No be joke,I go talk about 1. I have a girlfriend that stay alone in one room. On many occasions, when I was with her she would take her bath. As a cool dude,I will look for a way to excuse her. When she noticed, she challenged me.
So when the situation repeated itself,I decided to stay. She came back from bathroom with just a towel around her chest. My heart skipped like a scratched CD.I asked myself, guy, how is it going to be? I left the question unanswered in my heart.
All of a sudden, this friend of mine was completely naked before me,creaming her whole body. I couldn't stare. Being a strong man,I had to take control of the crazy man in me at first but when it happened again,I'd to loose him. Omo,when the shooting of the movie started, I decided to play a lead role in the movie. it will be premiered very soon. Watch outgrin

sammhi: Fasola's zeal in arresting motorbike riders both private and commercial is interesting. am waiting to see him also arrest his aides or commissioner and make same effort to ensure the thieving commissioner or aide is sent to prison for embezzlement . The law should not be made to be Hypocritical ..... So much effort is put into the lesser sin and none towards the more grievous sins.

My brother,I won't be able to share it now. It is a very sensitive matter. I'm afraid because the woman in particular may be a nairalander. The husband is well known in one particular sector in nigeria.

Chai, women! You can't understand woman. Just play along. Immediately you are become married lies must be part of you if want peace to reign in marriage. All women are not trustworthy. Imagine the mess I found myself this morning, helping a woman to lie to her husband to save her marriage. It's a long I would have to post story as a topic.
I fear woman! All girls may not be the same but all married women are the same.

Politics › Re: Fashola, Mimiko, Oshiomole Or Okorocha: Who Is The Best Governor? by omiobo: 1:34pm On Dec 02, 2012
Fashola is the best. Lagosians are stubborn goats, and he knows how to deal with them. In Lagos, the only way govt can touch is to embarking on capital projects, building world class vocational institution and rendering health care services not giving out #10000 to citizens as citizen welfare programme.
Christianity Etc › Re: Anointing Oil Used By Some Churches: Wrong Or Right. by omiobo: 1:01pm On Dec 02, 2012
RedReact: I believe ur testimony. But d truth is dt we don't always need d oil to do everything we do in the body of Christ.
And besides, d faith of ur mother in God through d use of d anointing oil coupled with that oppressed woman's faith made God to step into action.

The issue of anointing oil has been abused by our brothers and sisters in Christ and made to look like a 'lick and speak' charm. I don't need to be looking for anointing oil all around when the Holy Ghost can work through any medium. Remember, Jesus used spit to heal the blind. Why don't we now have anointed spits?
Like Goshen said, d anointing represents the Holy Spirit, and the use of anointing oil is good and symbolises allowing the Holy Spirit to work through the oil, but it has been turned into a ritual these days by many of us.
pls check my other post. You will understand me.
Christianity Etc › Re: Anointing Oil Used By Some Churches: Wrong Or Right. by omiobo:
In fact everything is real, not only anointing oil,you can use water,sand,handkerchief,salt,sugar,e.t.c so far it is based on God's instruction.

I've heard a testimony of a couple that were expecting a child for years. When they least expected, the husband said he heard God instructing him to take the sand of the church and filled with water in a bottle .He should take it and give his wife too. It was after they obeyed, the wife gave birth. Had it been people saw the couple exercising their faith, they will condemn them. Somethings are mystery. They are far beyond our understanding
It is instruction connected with faith that matters. We should not out of ignorance condemn people's action when exercising their faith.
Christianity Etc › Re: Anointing Oil Used By Some Churches: Wrong Or Right. by omiobo: 8:36am On Dec 02, 2012
Goshen360: The oil usage and/or anointing is ONLY scriptural when used within the scriptural context. Dedicating a "special service" to oil wherein church people are asked to bring bottle of oil is nothing than a ritual and herbalistic practice in the body of Christ. It is not different from going to herbalist and get something to use. Now, I know you know the scripture but let's stay in context here.

First, Matthew 25:3 reads,

New International Version (©1984)
The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.

Second, Mark 6:13

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

Third,

New International Version (©1984)
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. - James 5:14

The oil is a symbol and signifies the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 61:1. In the scriptural verses of Matthew and Mark quoted above, the oil was symbol of the Holy Spirit for the Holy Spirit had not yet come until after the death of Christ. The story of shows believers need the Holy Spirit. The story of healing by the disciples shows AFTER demons are cast out of the possessed, they will need the Holy Spirit, otherwise, they will be open to another demonic possession.

The very case of James that many people quote and misapply out of context says,

Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. - James 5:14

Simple instruction - Call the elders! Today, everyone carry bottle of oil in their bags and wallets. Special anointing oil is conducted with special emphasis on oil from Israel in some cases. Some drink oil. Some Pastors sell "special oil" and all sort of madness going on with mere oil. In James 5:15, it is clearly written, NOT the oil that later saves the sick BUT RATHER THE PRAYER OF FAITH.

Lemme stop here for now so I don't worn you out with too many words...... cool
Yea,I agreed with the scripture but read the testimony I shared above. My mum was a JJC in christ and God delivered her neighbour through the anointing she was given in church. So what happen in her case, she was not an elder but she anointed the woman and woman got healed.. My brother, instructions differ. I'm not against what you wrote but don't condemn God's given instruction to others out of ignorance. Some are given instructions, some abuse the instruction given to others to gain members.
Christianity Etc › Re: Anointing Oil Used By Some Churches: Wrong Or Right. by omiobo: 8:12am On Dec 02, 2012
Let me share a testimony.
When I used to live with mum, there was a neighbor that was attacked with swollen leg. She has been to everywhere but all to no avail. And mum a new winners chapel member was given anointing oil which she applied on the woman's leg.
Behold brethren, before the morning of the next day the swollen leg was restore to normal but when my mum shared what she experienced during the night I couldn't help but laughed. She said, she was beating in the dream by elderly women for loosing the woman they bondaged. Being JJC in christ, she was restless the next morning, and I laughed so tey water commot for my eyes.
That very day I was marvelled at the work of anointing oil. Anointing is very right.
