Now, this is one clueless sisi.

Did anyone tell you that soloqy needs arms to run into? Or do I look/sound like one of your letter-writing boyfriends?

My own comments have been based on the fact that every movie that has a Nigerian character or story(Not just South African movies), depicts Nigeria in a bad way.

My point being,  why Nigeria if nothing is wrong.

Just go ahead and put your neck in the sand like an Ostrich and dont face the real issues here. Better still, lead the protest match to hollywood or SA.

By the way, if am a Lost Shepherd as you say, what in the world do you expect the sheep to do?

@ sology

Lost sheep, lost shepherd or whatever it maybe, am sure you already got my point.( My point being, why Nigeria if nothing is wrong) like you have written; why don''t you turn yourself into Jesus christ and save Nigeria from corruption, Nollywood and so on like the whole world have been accusing us of it would be so nice to see you crucified.
TV/Movies / Re: Depiction Of Nigerians In "District 9" by omofola(f): 9:13am On Aug 26, 2009
@ sology

If you have anything against Nigerians ,why don't you come out with it because you are obviously against everybody that sees that the movie makes no sense, is there anything bad about that? Whatever situation we find ourselves, we will always have a way to survive, that is why Nigerians are very intelligent and strong.

No matter what type of image we have portrayed to the whole world no one is perfect and we are not proud about  the situation of corruption in our nation. That is obviously the reason why south Africans are jealous of Nigerians, we are survivors and it's a pity that 2 African countries should be against each other so much after all the support that Nigerians both young and old gave to south Africans during their hard times.

Sology, you are obviously a very good example of the lost shepherd but the difference is that by the time you come back, you will never be welcomed with open arms.

@smokie

You made a lot of sense in your comments on this issue.

@my ppl, I ask the question again, what do you guys expect? Really, what other people in Africa would have been perfect to use in that story?

When holywood makes a movie about organised crime in America, they use Italians and the mafia.

The reputation of a people or a person, goes before them.

Yes, it can be embarrasing to watch your people being portrayed in such a terrible light but its the reality of the issue and we have got to live with it till we clean up our act.

Look around in this Nairaland for instance, we still have people glorifying 419 and fraud letter writting. Everyone wants to be a billionaire overnight and thus, can do anything for money.

Its not a time to get selfrighteous or antagonistic towards the people that make movies that depict us in a bad light.

The anger should infact be directed inwards and prompt everyone to hate corruption and evil much more than we are doing right now.

If everyone,(foreign governments, foreigners, movie makers) all keep portraying us in a bad way, then surely something is wrong with us. The world did not just decide to be against Nigeria. Nigerian people have given the world no choice than to be wary and suspicious of them.

What the hell are you talking about, how old are you? There should be age restrictions on this forum. Nonsense !

Romance / Re: My Friend Is Pregnant For Me! by omofola(f): 4:18pm On Aug 20, 2009
I think it's high time girls need to stop this bull shit, why should we be tying guys down with pregnancy, and bringing innocent children into this wicked world, if you want a guy to marry you, then make him fall in love with you and make up his mind on his own to marry you.

I believe it's girls that lack confidence in themselves that do horrible things like this and should never be considered as wives, marriages resulting from such actions don't last so men desist from it and use condoms if you can't hold yourselves.

The only true love that has ever existed and that will continue without doubt or any condition is the love from God, any other love is a counterfeit or just temporary.

@olanmuis

Definitely you will get your audience if you keep this up and work better on it to yield the perfect complete product.

A lot of people love romance and women especially love reading romance novels which am sure will do good for you if you make yours different since we don't have much of it in Nigeria and the ones we have are not really that well packaged , second chance is one of the best romance novels we have had in Nigeria, maybe yours will be one of them too.

You are a great romance story writer,i was actually glued to the story, it was like reading mills and boon and temptation in those days unless if it truly happened which am sure it didn't but it was great, this is what i call romance.
Romance / Re: She's My Best Friend's Elder Sister: Was I Wrong? by omofola(f): 1:17pm On Jul 21, 2009
I think you should tell him only of you are ready to marry his sister because if you break up with her at the long run, definitely the friendship between you and your friend will be greatly affected and will never be the same, so since you are already in the relationship with her and you both love each other why not take it to the next level and make it known to him.

Romance / Re: ***------------ by omofola(f): 11:53am On Jul 17, 2009
I wouldn't advise her to just quit the relationship yet but she should look for a second option since she is not yet married to the guy so that at the end of the day she wouldn't loose out completely because in this situation am sure it will be very difficult for her to trust the guy again.
Romance / Re: If This Happened To You What Would You Do? by omofola(f): 5:29pm On Jul 16, 2009
It actually happened to me except that i wasn't married, i went to a call center not far from my house to call my boyfriend whose house wasn't even close to mine and after dialling his number on the phone of the call center his name came up with a nick name beside it, then i decided not to make the call again because i was too shocked and confused and i immediately deleted the dialled call from the phone. I never spoke about it to him but i watched him closely instead and realized he was friends with the owner of the call center.

@poster
your own na small case. My girlfriend is an angel. One night after three rounds of "you know what," she revealed to me that she is an angel and I doubted it. But when she spread her wings and flew around my room, I believed her. We celebrated it with another three rounds.
I am still dating her though, and she tells me about all the things in heaven. She has already secured a place for me in heaven. She sends me to heaven everynight while we are doing the "you know what." I have been begging her to introduce me to other angels, but she wouldn't because she fears that they may snatch me away from her.

This is a girl that i met in the bus stop last two years. This is how we met:
The thing na really strange thing ohh. She was sent to be my guardian angel after I became born again, but one day as she was guarding me she saw me naked while I was changing my cloths, so she materialized and waited for me in the bus stop where I met her and tossed her we started dating.

I thought she was a stranger when I met her at the bus stop, but now she has revealed the whole thing to me. Little did I know that she had been watching over me, my body, and my "you know what."

Please nairalanders, advice me on what to do.

@seeklove
You are so damn boring, please give us a more interesting story, this one makes zero sense.
Romance / Re: I Need Ur Advice, Its Urgent! by omofola(f): 11:24am On Jul 01, 2009
Just try to remain as friends and be good to her, you never can tell she might end up falling in love with you, but it's 50-50. So take your mind off it and concentrate on other things.
Romance / Re: My Girl_friend Is A Mamiwater~ Water Spirit! by omofola(f): 10:58am On Jul 01, 2009
You men are so naive, 80% of you have dated girls possessed with water spirit, some of this girls know and they don't like it and have been delivered from it while some know and will never tell and use the powers especially when a guy has been wicked to them, those that don't want to use the powers suffer in life a lot until they are delivered from it.

So men watch out, that is why a lot of you have marital problems in future or destiny failure and you don't know the major cause, this is one of it.

Politics / Re: Can We Charge These Nurses With Murder? by omofola(f): 9:18am On Jun 12, 2009
No matter the cause of the strike, the Nurses shouldn't have resulted in killing the young boy as a means of getting their message across to the Government, it has been known that nurses are heartless people, death means nothing to them, the nurses should all be arrested so as to be able to fish out the main person or the actual group of nurses that removed the life-support oxygen and be prosecuted.

And the Government need to do something about the arbitrary tax deduction situation so that patients can be treated and not killed anymore by the nurses .
