Hi,
I doubt if you can get anything in that range of N80m in Ikeja for 1 acre, I think you should increase your budget. Shine your eyes oh otherwise you will sow a seed into people's life and such seed will cause everlasting tears. The cheapest I think you can get is between N200m to N350m. Meanwhile there is one 3.8 in a nice neigbourhood in Ikeja for N700m. The issue is whether the owner would be willing to sell 1 acre out of the 3.8. You can holla me at kleandenation@yahoo.ca

Hi, first and foremost, the c of o would be processed by the lands bereau Alausa Lagos. Like any other civil service, they are ready to milk you dry. So whether, it is done by outsider or insider, the cheapest range you can get is between N200k to N250k apart from fees to be paid upon demand notice by the LASG. As a lawyer, we have had to cough out even half of what clients pay to these chap at Alausa for consent and c of o files, otherwise for one year you may not find your file. That is why most pple charge heavily.Regards.

Well, I must commend your efforts for taking steps to make your applications. Your case of forgery allegations is not the first and it wont be the last. We had a client last year who was alleged of bank statement forgery. His Aunt in the UK works with Mark & Spencer and she holds an account with Barclay's Bank, UK. This bank statement was alleged to be forged and he was giving a right of appeal. We treated the appeal with utmost care and eventually the appleal was allowed. One should always wonder, as I have written in one of my posts, that if truly an applicant is found wanting especially in the area of forged documents, there shouldnt be a second chance that is, a the right of appeal. Therefore, I suggest you appeal against the ECo's decision and prove all allegations levelled against you otherwise. You do not need to re-appeal. Sometimes these ECO's are turned off due to numerous applications before them, their mood often times determine their decisions on applications. Sometimes, they may not like the face of an applicant, these are things that happen in reality especially in interviews. I have had the opportunity to be in a panel of interviewers and I learnt that various factors are measured and scores depends on the individual interviewers. You wouldnt believe a case of an applicant having the same birthday as that of the ECO's, a coincidence! That can earn such a person a visa, though that case is like a one in a million applications. That is why you need prayer support when you make your applications even when your documents are genuine and okay.

You can give to lawyers who are conversant with appeals or better still contact Travelcare, you're 99% assured that this time you're going to win. Click here https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-121415.0.html#bot to see other areas where Travelcare can be of assistance.

If you are guarantor to someone who is applying for the e-passport, you have to produce photocopy of your passport photopage as well as your nigerian ID card. They serve two different puposes. Your passport is the instrument of guarantoship while your national ID identifies you as its name implies. If you wan more infor holla me at arinnet08@gmail.com. Regards.

BusinessRe: How Do I Set Up A Rice Milling Plant? by omogidi234(m): 8:44pm On May 25, 2008
Basically, the first thing is to establish a rice milling coy. Then you will have a rice milling plant. Have good hands that can handle it for you. Contact the Nigerian cereal research institute for training, advise, and what it requires to own a rice milling plant. They have done research on the different species of rice as well as the diffrent state where rice can be grown in Nigeria (U know you have to site your Mill in an enviromnet where rice is grown. Apart from other factors, the cost of transporting goods in Naija can kill the business). So far they are unable to turn their research to food on the table of an average Nigerian coz they do not have money. I heard one of their reserchers say that if they have the N80b FG is spending on imporation of rice, they will do this country well. It appears u re in the UK, do research as per machinery and tools but as for others I think you can google rice research in Nigeria to get adequate info from the institute. Invariably, once you are through with gathering info and you are ready, you can holla me at kleandenation@yahoo.ca to incorporate the rice milling coy as well as other documentation you will require.

@austinedu,

How much do you charge?
Abujabooks: i have seen ur comments/? on one or two threads regarding registration of company. Pls note that there are dubious pple going around all in the name of registration. Locate the person's office, ask for a copy of such jobs that they have done. Sometimes, the amount charged depends on the share capital and the share capital also depends on the nature of business. For example u will require 10m share capital for a business like transportation, oil and gas, methanol etc while 1m share capital would be ok for a marketing coy. if you require more info pls holla me at kleandenation at yahoo dot ca. Thanks.
BusinessRe: Cost Of Incorporating A Ltd Company At CAC by omogidi234(m): 1:04pm On May 06, 2008
Sorry about that. I can specifically tell you that your certificate ought to have been out max of 4-6 weeks. I register and get certificates in 2 weeks and even in 5 working days depending on the ability of the clients and financial strenght. If the person who is doing this job for you actually submitted, then there is one query or the other that ought to have been respondend to. Well, since you are not in naija I can assist you to look into the problem, Although i am in lag but i deal directly with CAC Abuja coz that is where decisions are taken. if you do not mind holla me at kleandenation at yahoo dot ca. Thanks.

@Abuja1 and Orekinky.
I figured out that you guys are not happy that people are not posting info as it were. The reason is not far-fetched, people abuse info and even abuse you when you post info like the ones you guys asked. To back up my assertion I will refer you to this thread and you will find out why people don't usually post info or post full info: "Cost of incorporating a ltd coy at CAC". In the meantime, you should be able to get a lawyer or accountant accredited by CAC who could do it for you between 80k-100k or less. It is a matter of info.
BusinessRe: Cost Of Incorporating A Ltd Company At CAC by omogidi234(m): 8:13am On Apr 28, 2008
@brownbonno. God bless you for your observation. However, please note that for every positive there is a negative, the lawyers that you have seen presenting incoherent speech or what have you at public hearing were the ones who had the opportunity of getting there. If you are a Nigerian you should know that no matter how good you are if they do not want you there you can't be there. The best you can do is go on the pages of dailies and express your views which does not matter or in nairaland (where so many people who are not in touch with Nigeria{not you oh} express all manner of silly opinions, of course I keep saying it "opinion is the cheapest thing you can buy"wink. The totality of this is that you will find the ones that are not good occupying sensitive positions and when the bubble burst the whole world blame the lawyers- remember INEC saga involving a SAN and the power contract saga where over 20 non-registered companies were awarded contracts, the list is endless. I strongly believe that this is a phase.

samm:
While information on incorporating a business is Nigeria is somewhat lacking and confusing, i will have to disagree with the point that the cost is too high.
For those making comparisons with the US, the cost of incorporating in the US varies by state. I know it costs atleast $300 for my state of incorporation if you do it yourself. An accountant or lawyer can charge anywhere from $150 to $400 to provide you this service.
In the case of Nigeria, we need lawyers and accountants to provide better straightforward information and education on business registration since it is a service they offer. They should offer better transparent services to their incorporating clients and then charge accordingly based on their service level.

Thanks. This is what we have been telling all these over 'sabi' that although the CAC has has some specific statutory fees to be paid however, the lawyer or accountant who is instructed would charge whatever he wishes putting in mind the fees indicated by CAC and that this varies from lawyers/accountants. Now life is about choice and you will always get somebody who will be ready to accept what you have in registering a company for you at the CAC rather than say it is expensive, or compare Nigerian jurisdiction with another jurisdiction. As per information, CAC cannot provide more than the information you have on their website because it is regulated by law otherwise the enacting law must be ammended to allow it display more info on its web. Besides they do not expect you to deal directly with them rather that you use the services of a lawyer or accountant. The info on its web is to give guidelines as to what you should expect from the lawyer/accountant apart from the prof fees.

Our own Naija people never cease to amaze you, what are we turning the topic to?. If you know how people here can get help to get their business up share it not starting an arguement. This is not directing my response at anyone in particular please share good info if you have any if not zip it. Most of the people here have little caiptal to start with in the first place why discourage or make life difficult for them?. For every way there is a less expensive and legitimate alternative if you know it please share it.
I have had course to educate people here(i.e nairaland) and I am sure other lawyers have done same. Now the only form of business an individual can register at CAC is BUSINESS NAME. Every other one you have to use the services of a lawyer, chartered secretaries and chartered acct. They are the ones that have been accredited by CAC to do so. You cannot register a LTD,PLC or whatever form without them because you will have to use their accreditation number i.e. for lawyers you have something like NBA/IND/,  you will require this number to do bizz other than Business name with CAC. Thus, rather than come here and ask for info on how much it takes to register a coy, I would have expected you to ask who could do it affordably for you.

Rlst84sale:
Does anyone know, when you incorporate your business in any state capital (say Lagos or Portharcourt) in Nigeria do they have a timely turn around response as when you file it in Abuja or do you have to go to Abuja to file it?. How long does it normally take when you file it in a state and when you file it in Abuja? If anyone have information on this please let us know. Thank you.

Well, CAC is like any other government parastatal or agency wherein all decisions are taken at Abuja.So whereever you submit your documents for registration, PH, Lag or Kano or any other CAC offices nationwide, it would still be batched and sent to ABJ. Now ordinarily registration spans 2 weeks in Abuja, so if your documents are submitted outside ABJ it means they would be available for collection where you submits between 3-5 weeks.

Contact the Coporate Affairs Commission (google it up). It will take quite big sum of money to register a gruoup and i think you should have 1million naira shares before you register your Group. And you have to put up a Notice on the Newspapers for a month before you claim your Business name. Contact CAC directly or any of their offices in your Hood.
I would have expected u to borrow a leave from megastu or my good self. While trying to impress you have exhibited ur ignorance, it is only Incorporated trustees that u need to publish advert for in the dailies and not buzz name. By the way you cannot register a company by googleing CAC as suggested by you. Only lawyers and Cht Secretary and Acct can transact buzz with CAC.Again, 1 million share does not mean cash. Pls it is not compulsory u post if you don't have an idea keep quiet thanks.

@ [b]Femi_ko
you have heard the true gist from Thunder74, incorporation depends on a lot of factors i.e. who is doing it, share capital and when you want your certificate. The procedure is as follows: 1. You submit names for availaility search, it takes like 2-4 days to get it approved depending on whether or not CAC system is functioning properlly. There is however a faster means which is online i.e. submitting the names through the internet from the comfort of your home and getting result within 24hrs. (you are advised to drop more than one name and they must be generic). 2. the CAC forms are prepared for your signature. 3. The MEMART is prepared, stamped based on the share capital. 4. The documents are submitted at CAC. 5. You have your certificate.

the following may be useful:

fee to incorprate within 1 week (5 working days from the date of approval of the name)= N250,000
fee to incorprate within 2 weeks (10 working days from the date of approval of the name)= N200,000
fee to incorprate within 3 weeks (15 working days from the date of approval of the name)= N150,000
fee to incorprate within 4 week (20 working days from the date of approval of the name)= N100,000

if you are comfortable with my figures please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at arinnet08@gmail.com or kleandenation@yahoo.ca
