Politics › Re: Why Is Atiku Silent About The Fulani Menace Nigerians In The South Are Facing? by omoharry(f): 8:26am On Mar 22, 2021
Have you ever seen a fulani criticing another fulani for the evil they commit ? The only people that managed to speak about thes menace were El rufai and Ganduje. And they only try to suggest a solution that will end the menance .

All Fulanis' might not all be violent but they enable the violent ones by thier silence and thier support, when they see that thier evil kind men are attacked or ask to leave the region where they are prepetrating thier evil activities.

Atiku is still aspiring to contest and he does not want to be hated by his people . So that is why he is silent..Just like Tinubu who is trying hard to keep it safe becos of his ambition .

God forbid that another Fulani will occupy the seat of power in our time ever again .

But if this is true, I don't blame Adekunle for anything, because you can't just married a boring and calm wife like Simi, without being tired of her. Adekunle is a man after all , what if he choose to marry another wife?
You are either a child or your are just plain stupid . Your kind are the most confuse creature that sees a good thing and throws it away. If you end up marriying a party lover that runs around town, you will complain and start blast all Nigerian women that they are olosho and evil. Then if you marry a calm and focus lady, you will now tag as boring and a justification why they needed to be cheated on .
This is why Nigerian women are dealing with you guys in the western world and why Nigerian wives are cheating on you guys back to back and bringing home bastard children becos you are not any better .Nonsence

6. THERE ARE DANGERS AHEAD ALREADY

Yes, I will also tell you the dangers ahead of Biafra and Oduduwa, for example, that many of the agitators are not yet seeing. Factions are already emerging to make the prospective new nations another hell as Nigeria is now considered a hell by many of her citizens. See Kanu here and Dokubo there with their groups all poised to take it out against each other in a nation that would be too young to stand such squabbles. Then, in Yorubaland, the Igbohos and the Tinubus will be pitched against each other in a fight for supremacy.
When that the comes, the south will sit down and decide if we should stick together. Since we have the same ideology to life. Or, go our seperate ways. But I believe that the voice of reason will prevail so that each southern state will be independent from the federal govt & pay tax . As for state that cannot survive on thier own can merge with another state to form a formidable force to economic purpose .
Southern Nigeria can then have thier restructured country, which they have ever wanted and we will continue to sit and renegotiate our existence as a country
( meaning the freedom of referendum and secession will be stated in the constitution. So that no ethnic group will feel trapped in the country ) .
So ,to hell with your unity begging messages .It does not favour anyone but only a few .Its better to have a smaller country, where citizens can live with dignity than live in a big for nothing & a hopeless country like Nigeria, where the citizens are treated like animals by thier own govt .
Do you think it's easy to take Power from these corrupt politicians? these are people that have all the means to fight you ?Do you think that a devided country like Nigeria, where the people have weak mind to reason deep, won't be a willing tools to fight against what you stand to achieve ?
Do you think it easy to unit the whole of Nigerians against thier corrupt leaders, without changing thier language immediately they receive N5000 to fight against you ? See how the Endsars turned out ?

The very people you are fighting for will be use as a weapon to fight and bring you down .Why? Hunger and mental slavery .

So, you must be joking, if you think that you can just turn things around for good, without putting in a fight .
How many hungry youth will follow you anyway, without selling you to your enemies for a pot of portage?
How many will listen to you without turning every thing into a tribal and religious affair and heap on ur head ? Pls tell us something else .

A one Nigeria to me is almost gone. Except the people decide to rise against thier leaders (which is impossible ) .It will rather take a Carmel to pass through the eyes of a nidle than for the citizens of Nigeria to unite to fight thier currupt leaders .

I hope you are not counting on our leaders to effect this change you seek? Forget our leaders to achieve something like this ooo!.They are currently benefiting from this mess we are in.So they will do everything to keep it that way.

However, the youth are the only hope we have in this country (of cause, I dont mean the gullible political party maniacs , that could easily be bought with N1000 or a sacket of maggi or easily be brainwashed by whatever their political godfathers/leaders tells them).

There are so many independent minded young Nigerians that are out there, looking for a genuine platform to come under for this kind of movement. They are sick and tired of the status-quo and will be happy to join in the change without violence.

Now how do you unit these multi-facet youth that are cut across tribal and Religious line? How do you unit this young Nigerians to believe in this movement? what is the guarantee that this movement wont be like the usual ones that loses steam with weeks?

For a thing like this you need proper, a planing and strategy need to be done to reach out to these youth across the country as well as ways this movement can gain momentum till this aim is achieved .
Politics › Farmer-herders Crisis: Six States Reject Fg’s Livestock Scheme by omoharry(op): 1:53pm On Mar 14, 2021
• FCT, Ekiti, Ondo, Ebonyi, 17 northern states sign up for NLTP

Six state governments, namely Delta, Cross River, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Oyo, and Edo have said they will not donate any land to be used as grazing reserves for herdsmen under the National Livestock Transformation Programme.

However, 17 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as three southern states, namely Ekiti, Ondo, and Ebonyi, have signed up for the programme.

The Federal Government had in February said it had mapped out 30 grazing reserves across the country for the planned implementation of the NLTP.

The government said the implementation of the programme would result in a lasting solution to the farmers-herders crisis in the country.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture, Dr. Andrew Kwasari, said in a statement, “And every state that adopts the NLTP, it is to its own reality. It is not conscription, but if they do it this way, it will modernise livestock and crop production, remove conflict, create dialogue, and create cohesion in communities.”

In 2018, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, had inaugurated the NLTP at the Gongoshi Grazing Reserve in the Mayo-Belwa Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

He said the plan was designed to run from 2019 to 2028 as a collaborative project among the federal and state governments, farmers, pastoralists and private investors.

However, some southern state governments on Saturday rejected the idea of creating a grazing reserve for herders. They said they did not have any land to donate for the initiative. They stressed that any individual who wanted to go into ranching should rather look for land to buy.

The Delta State government said that the state had moved past talks on grazing reserves for herdsmen, saying it would never be part of such a plan.

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, told Sunday PUNCH, “I don’t know the one they are talking about. We have passed the issue of debate on grazing reserves. Anybody talking about grazing reserves now does not wish this country well.

“Is the Federal Government rearing cattle? Cattle-rearing is a private business and if a person needs land for ranching, they should buy. Ours is to regulate their activities and collect tax from them. We don’t have land to give anybody.”

Also, the Anambra State government said it had no plans to create grazing reserves for herdsmen.

The state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, C-Don Adinuba, said the state had the smallest landmass in the country bedevilled by the scourge of erosion, hence it would not embark on any project that would further deplete its land.

Adinuba said, “Ranching is big business. If herders apply for land to do their business, we can consider allotting land to them. But government cannot on its own start establishing grazing reserves because the era of government going into full-scale businesses has gone. Private sectors drive the economy all over the world.

“Besides, we don’t have the land. Anambra has the smallest landmass in the country after Lagos. So, we don’t have that luxury of land for grazing reserves.”

Also, the Akwa Ibom State government said it was not creating grazing reserves for herders in the state. The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Ini Ememobong, said, “We are not creating grazing reserves. But if the people want to do ranching as a private business, they can do so at their expense in line with normal land acquisition processes.”

The Cross River State government also said it did not have any immediate plans to create grazing reserves for herders in the state.

The state Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Okon Owuna, when asked if the state would create grazing reserves, said, “Not now. It is not in the budget. We only implement what is in the budget.”

Owuna, however, noted that the Obudu Ranch Resort was a grazing site in the state.

In Oyo State, the government also rejected the Federal Government’s NLTP programme.

The Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr Taiwo Adisa, told Sunday PUNCH that the state had set in motion the anti-open grazing law which must be followed by all herders in the state.

He said, “If you are conversant with the state’s anti-open grazing law, it has already spelt out the relationship between farmers and herders. It has also spelt out the position of the state on livestock rearing in the state.

“The law signed by the governor says there won’t be open grazing of livestock in the state and there won’t be child grazing in the state, and that anybody who is interested in grazing in the state can apply for ranches.

“If he spots a piece of land, he can apply to the landowner for a lease of the land for three years and it is renewable. Once the landowner agrees to the proposal, he would submit it to the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, which will, in turn, submit an application to the Ministry of Environment to conduct an environmental impact assessment.”

Adisa said if the Ministry of Environment found such land suitable for ranching, it would forward the application to the governor for approval.

Although Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has yet to form a cabinet for his second term, an official who spoke on condition of anonymity said the state viewed herding as any other animal husbandry business, and as such would not give any preferential treatment to herders.

“Cattle-rearing is an agricultural enterprise. Nobody is giving goat rearers or poultry farmers any special treatment. The governor has made this known,” the official said.

Meanwhile, Enugu and Imo state governments said they had yet to decide whether to key into the NLTP programme or not.

Enugu Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Mathew Idu, said he was not aware of the programme and had no idea about the criteria used by the Federal Government in mapping out the grazing areas.

Asked whether the state would key into the programme, Idu said, “That is the executive council’s decision and not mine.”

Also, the Imo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, said the government had yet to decide whether to key into the NLTP programme or not. Ekiti, Ondo, Ebonyi, FCT, 17 northern states sign up for NLTP.

On the other hand, the Federal Capital Territory, Ekiti, Ondo, Ebonyi and 17 northern state governments have signed up for the NLTP.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture, Dr Andrew Kwasari, disclosed this in an interview with Sunday PUNCH.

He said officials from the 20 states and the FCT would be trained to prepare for the programme’s implementation.

Kwasari insisted that the NLTP would help put an end to the lingering farmers-herders crisis, contrary to the belief in some quarters that the scheme was aimed at taking over people’s lands for herders.

According to him, there are several components of the NLTP which state governments are free to choose from. He added that the government was not forcing any state to join the scheme.

Kwasari said, “As we speak, 20 states and the FCT have indicated an interest in the programme. The states have written to us. What happens is that states interested in the NLTP will write to us.

“We will then begin by taking them through training in preparation for the stages involved. The states that have written to us include 17 northern states, Ekiti, Ondo and Ebonyi.

“There are several components of the NLTP. There is the public-private partnership component, whereby the state partners with the private sector to build ranches. So, the people need to understand that this is a programme that will help put a permanent end to the farmers-herders crisis.”

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Uchenna Orji, confirmed the state’s participation in the programme, adding that it would improve the agricultural sector of the state.

He said, “Yes, we want to take advantage of the National Livestock Transformation Plan to improve our agriculture to ensure that our farmers are involved in livestock production.

“So, it’s going to be wonderful, because it will involve the rearing of different types of animals. It is going to be an integrated farm and that is why it is called a livestock programme. We want to be part of the programme.”

Similarly, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Agriculture, Olabode Adetoyi, said the state government was committed to the NLTP, noting that it was in the process of reactivating the Oke Ako and Irele cattle ranches in the state to cater for the interest of cattle businessmen.

Adetoyi said, “We are committed to the NLTP. We have our Irele and Oke Ako ranches which we want to reactivate and give to any businessman that approaches us for ranches.”

He said a two-day training programme for the committee set up by the NLTP and the state government was already billed for this month.

It depend on the tribe you are marrying into. If the womans' dowry is very low & a walk in the park, then you can do your wedding with just 300k. While you can use 100k for the whole dowry request by family (if her dowry is extremely low ) you can then go ahead to use the remaining 200k for your court & traditional wedding(which can be done that same day).

A parlour setting wont be bad for a budget affair. Invite only your immediate family and very close friends. Buy a modest and nice clothing within budget for your traditional outfit and rent your suit and ur fiance wedding dress for your court. Then Get a good & modest camera man to capture the day.The rest things like decoration of the house&make up for your bride can be done by family & friends.

Prepare a modest meal for your guest(family & friends) like small chops for starter( look for a friend or family thaat can do that at a very moderate price for you. A two basket of rice is enough to feed everyone..You can prepare small swallow for the elderly. Total number of invitees should not be more than 30 .

With that, you can manage 300k to marry ur bride.(That is if both families reside in Lagos or close to Lagos..Becos transportation is another cost on its own.

Secondly, Like I said earlier, it now depend from where the lady is from. A N300,000 is not even enough for the main dowry in some ethnic group.

Just a case of giving a dog name to kill it.
I wonder why we black man still don't understand that marriage , divorce or marital law.. I don't know the Bleep they call it...is just one of many tools and system put in place to keep black men down, in this case using their wife.
The same way they use media , religion, culture , politics e.t.c is the same way they are using women in marriage to bring and keep men down.

Meanwhile it has been proven that women, mostly Nigeria women are like Lion cub .
No matter how lovely and cute they look at young age once they become independent they turn into a monster.
And u will surely be their first victim after U have help them grow.
If you must train them make sure u trim their jaws and finger from time to time.
Lastly never allow society to push you into taking your wife abroad to live with you in order to be a real man..
The story has never end well unless God is on your side.
All the systems they interact with there are design to brainwash them into being a willing tool for your down fall
So you are suggesting that the man stays abroad alone while his family remain here in Nigeria ? Then why marry at all ? Its either he remains here with his family or he marries over them and be with them .It make no sense for a man to be abroad while his wife and kids remain in a different country apart . Why marry in the first place ?

Anyway ,it's seem painful & unfair when men are at the receiving end of social injustice in the U.K. .But over here in Nigeria ,women have been abused and maligned for crying out for injustice by thier husbands and our society will tell them to go back home and be a dutiful wife so that the man would be of good behavior .
Men would cheat on thier wives ,bring home-deadly diseases, due to thier philandering ,beat up these women if they dare stand up to protest against thier husband and take thier children away from them, if they dare ask for divorce .Especially when the wife is not financially independent .

I sympathize with these men that are going through hell in the U.K, due to thier divorce from thier wives . But I still believe Nigerian men still export thier alpha male tendencies with thier wives in the U.K. They should know that over there in the U.K. the woman is king but here in Nigeria they are subject and powerless .
They should learn how to adjust accordingly depending on the country they are .

Those who preform very well are pushed to house of assembly, from there Governor's.
very very very nice suggestion .
Now my problem is this ; how do we we unite the youth to vote for a consensus candidate without allowing the Nigerian factors to creep in ? What must we do to liberate our mind from the stronghold of voting for people along religious and ethnic lines despite thier questionable character ? What must we do ? Do we hold a section to discuss this abnomalies ? Do we believe we have a problem with the way we reason? For it will determine if we ever be united under one umbrella or not ? So we have two task at hand to accomplish before achieving our mission.
One task will be to designe ways to form United front for the youth & present a common front where we can all agree on a common mission of purpose to change the structure of this country .
The second task we must acheive is to find out ways to deracalized our thoughts and minds from our various ethic /Regilious prejudices that we have had while growing up . This is our problem and it has been the weapons our wicked politicians/ leaders have been using to hold us down ever since ?
How can we liberate ourselves from this ?
If only we could have a free & open mind , then voting for a Chinedu , Tunde or Musa for a political position across board will not be a problem, as long as they have all the qualities it takes to occupy that particular position and & thier believe in our vision to make a difference nation .
Our judgement toward them then , would not be base on where they come from but base on thier deliverables .

Leave ENDSARS because it's was compromised, yahoo boys, politicans and foreigners we're sponsoring the protest undecided
Any protest that start receiving money, food or drinks is already compromised, check protest round the world.
Accepting the situation on ground will lead to solutions, Do you know how many governor's, ministers, commissioners, etc are members of Nairaland huh
where do hope to raise your fund from ? Is either we raise it through the people or a God father(the latter is not acceptable ) .Is it not better to raise it through the crowed of good will than to be sponsored through a know face that will hold your struggles back ? Nigerians will fund this movement ..

Rossnitti:
Many Nairalanders describe Nigeria as 'failed', with break up of the country the only solution.

Most of them do this based primarily on their opposition to the current Buhari administration.

Here's a message for that crowd:

The problem with you is that you are thick, dumb and ignorant with regard to what it means to be a democracy.

Your thick skulls cannot understand that democracy is turn by turn and will not always favour you.

Buhari is a problem for you, so your solution is ''the country is failed!! Let's break up!!''

No part of your dull brain thinks ''ok, this is a democracy. His term's up in under 2 years. Let me join forces with like-minded citizens to vote him out of office and get in someone whose policies are more favourable to me''.

That is what folks in the US did, despite Trump trashing their nation on a daily basis, openly supporting killer racist neo nazi groups, describing them as ''good people'' to mass outrage, among other assaults on public sensibilities.

NOT ONCE did we hear Americans lament ''our country is failed. Let's break up!!''

Instead, they stormed the polls in greater numbers than ever seen, and voted Trump out of office.

Finish.

So you people who act as if Nigeria is some sort of life presidency for Buhari/Fulani people, with ''breakup'' the only option, need to go back to your villages and FARM, or TAP PALM WINE, because that is as far as your semi-literate intellects can take you.

Ridiculous people.
You are a deluded fellow .If with what have been happening in Nigeria, has not opened your eyes to see that Buhari is the president for the Fulanis only, then you must be delusional.
Must you northerners always eat shit just becos your people are in power ? Why must you all support evil just becos ur people are the ones perpetrators of such evils ? This is why your region will continue to be impoverish becos of the way you all reason .

Nigeria is becoming a failed state under Buhari administration and it is fast losing it grip .Keep on putting your head in the sand and lie to yourself that what is at play is about A person ruling instead of his style of leadership .

Finally, don't you ever compare America to Nigeria again .Becos this stupid govt would rather adopt a archaic method in ruling Nigeria and ignore all the progressive policies that can move this country forward but only compare Nigeria to other countries when it only suit thier evil style of leadership .Americans are patriotic, becos their country treat them like human beings, while Nigerian citizen are treated like slave in thier own country and are allowed to be like second class citizens by foreigners who also share thesame kin with Mr president . They are allowed to carry arms and do as they like over the citizens of this very country .
Pls don't tell us about patriotism without preaching same to your devilish northern leaders first .
