Good evening. I'm a corp member serving in a school and I stay in the lodge provided by the school together with some other female corpers.
Now here lies my problem ; there is this particular female corper who keeps bringing me food randomly.
I know she'll feel bad if I tell her to stop it, I'll also feel bad if I throw the food out after receiving it from her, pretending that I really appreciate her bringing me food for no reason. How can I make her stop?

It happened to me too.

She wants you most likely. That's her way of saying that.

She's lucky she's doing this to you who doesn't want to exploit her i believe.

Call her. Thank her for the food. Ask her why she's doing this. She's not likely to say the real reason. Be frank with her and tell her that if her reason is to get you hooked to her you are really not thinking in that direction.

Once she knows your position the food is likely to stop coming. I did this and the food stopped coming.

If, however, the continues to bring the food, it may indeed be that she's just being nice to you and nothing more than that OR she believes she will still break your resistance with time. But be careful of eating love potion o!

It was a very stressful week for me as it involved lots of travels and all. So its a Saturday and I was paid for a project I did for the month past.

Going by my tired nature, I knew deep down me that there was no way I could have made it to church the next day and I was hell bent on paying my tithe because of the inherent blessings therein and the last thing on my mind would be to give it to my nebor to pay it for me. (The guy broke and besides I didn't want him to start calculating my take-home (Na sharp man). And I knew deep down that if I keep the money till the next time I would be in church, I was sure I would spend it. (God have mercy on me sha)

So I decided even before getting home to package my tithe and while in the market on a shopping spree I package my tithe and dropped it in the plate of an old beggar. (A mulsim beggar precisely)

Instantly, I saw 50 shades of shocks on her face as she looked at me for a few seconds and I could read her facials more like "For this Buharia?" Lols. And before I disappeared into the crowd, I could see/read her lips mutter prayers pointing towards me. And deep down, I felt blessed and fulfilled.

But was I wrong to have given my 10percent to a beggar instead of to the alter?

Nigerian society is too tainted with religious extremism for even the highly educated to function properly. If you are highly educated and you still believe Jesus walked on water/rose from the dead or Muhammed was a peaceful human being - then your education has failed you. The purpose of education is to promote awareness/consciousness. That's why if you meet the top scientists/intellectuals in the world, they tend to exude a zen like (or yogi like) quality. One possible reason for this is that they have reached a point were they are fully convinced that their ignorance far outweighs their knowledge. Only arrogant people say things like: "There is God." or "There is no God." The truth of the matter is nobody knows. And I mean NOBODY. Look at all the problems we have created in Nigeria because of people who are "absolutely sure" of the existence of a sky Daddy - Boko Haram, killing of twins; prosperity gospel aka spiritual corruption; killing of 'witches'; etc. Yet, the most significant consequence of our extreme religious belief is that Nigeria is a country of 180 million people, the vast majority of whom are AWAITING the end of the world. If you believe the world is coming to an end, why would you be FULLY committed to make your society a better place? Most Nigerians believe that this world does not matter because they are gonna START A NEW LIFE WITH THEIR SKY DADDY after the world ENDS. This is one of the most fundamental reason behind Nigeria's underdevelopment. So, until a sizable number of Nigerians are committed to creating HEAVEN on this Nigerian EARTH, rather than awaiting some sky Daddy to descend from the sky and save us, corruption and underdevelopment continues to no end.

Few months into my job, I have realised that people still use their date of birth, 1234, 1111, 0000 and other easy-to-guess numbers as their security passwords for their ATM pin and mobile applications... Its totally bad. As a security expert, I advise people to desist from this habit in order to ensure that your money is safe. What you should do...

1. When trying to choose a password for your bank account, let it be something that can't be guessed. This is the first step in choosing a strong pin. Numbers like date of birth, 1234, 1111, 55555, 1975, 0000 is a total NO!

2. Never you allow anyone be so close to you when trying to withdraw at the ATM . based on experience, most Nigerians don't know how to conduct themselves when queuing up at the ATM. They will choose to gum themselves like sardines when trying to withdraw. In this note, anyone can spy on your pin, trail you and steal your ATM card... It happens.. Don't fall a victim. Please always ensure that no one is so closely behind you when using the ATM for security reasons.



3. Change your ATM pin and other login pins to your bank accounts frequently..

Oh yes. I say this all the time during my encounter with bank customers. Try to change your ATM pin once in every 3months or 6months as the case may be. Why should you do this? I will give you a story.

I used to work for a wicked boss years back and it happened that he sent me to withdraw for him occasionally, that means I know his ATM pin. If I were a wicked person, I could conive with his new employees to get his atm card number and Security number, voila!!! I am a rich man!!

In the light of this, I encourage all of us to adopt this habit of changing our security pins quarterly.


4. Trust no one


That she or he is your brother or your son or your nephew doesn't mean you should be relaxed and reveal these sensitive information to them. The bible says that the heart of man is wicked and also says that brother shall rise against brother. Be warned.

Adult women still need permission from a male guardian to travel, marry, go to the hospital, rent an apartment, work and to even leave prison after serving a sentence. That man called OAP Daddy Freeze has taken the leniency of Christianity for granted for far too long. Though I agree with some of the things he says, I just don't understand why a very sinful man thinks he's in the best position to take criticizing pastors as his job.
