I believe this is my first time of commenting on people's posts on NL other than mine. So pardon my manner as a novice to that effect.

Briefly, I have few questions to put forward to you dear sis.
1. Did you and your "Ex" at any point during your relationship have sex?
2. Apart from academic, on what platform did you people meet and base your friendship... By this I mean, assumption, give "n" take, social factors of not to be alone, stigmatisation or...?
3. What's your understanding and definition of love for your "Ex" and the "Y" (on a lighter mood) I mean the current guy?

LOCATION

The Lord rules sovereign over all and in all things. The heathens acknowledge the almightiness of Jehovah, how much more we His children. Should we not proclaim His majestic praise? This we shall do till our journey here comes to an end when the gates of heavens are opened to us hearing the Master’s voice bidding us to come up thither. With a comforting and solacing voice which no other can imitate or mimic but He alone saying, “well done good and faithful servant, come into thy master’s rest.” Lest we are carried away by the description of the home above because it worth our time to explain and buttress the point, we shall thank God for the rest He has given us beneath. Oh beloveth, thank God for the peace and harmony He has given to thy body, soul and spirit. We thank God for the new identity He’s given us though we always and almost forget this as well but never again are we to behave as if we don’t have new identity. We are His sheep; we look like Him. More so, we have His Spirit in us. Hallelujah!

AND THE LORD GOD CALLED UNTO ADAM, AND SAID UNTO HIM, WHERE ART THOU? – Genesis 3:9.

For as many of us that have been following this for a while, it should quickly come to our remembrance that we had looked into a topic sometimes last year with the theme, “WHERE ART THOU?” This is a continuation of what we started or better still another perspective into which God desires to take us through. We pray that the Lord of host Himself, will lighten our path unto knowledge and illuminate the way to wisdom before us; that we may see the exceeding weight of glory prepared for us in the right location He desires for us always and to live therein in the name of Jesus Christ.

Brethren, it is true that God is everywhere because the Scriptures make, us to understand that, “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” Also, it is emphasized in this text as well that, “For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.” This does not mean that He is like the kings of the earth who cannot say where the territories of their land reach. Some kings are just known by throne not by knowledge. But you see, this King is a God of knowledge and by Him kings and princes of the earth reign and make decrees. He knows all things. Nevertheless, we must know that, it is written in Deuteronomy that, “For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs:…A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.” The Bible says, God is over all the earth and here it is also saying there is a land His eyes are always upon. I believe both the generic and specific. This takes us to the point today, location matters!

The first point we shall consider is the loving inquiry of a Father. So many fathers show there love to know where their children live or stay; the present state of their conditions and in what particular place they reside, whether in the prayer house or in the beer parlour. Especially when such children travel abroad, the Father’s inquiry would be like that of David to Joab in respect with Absalom, “is the young man safe?” There is another angle to which we are to look at this, some fathers have failed in their fatherhood responsibilities in that they didn’t not bother to know the exact location their children are. They left them to be on their own. Ultimately, their children had been victims or executioners of rape, kidnapping, terrorism. Sure, sir, we believe that there is time for every thing like you’ve always been saying and we also accept that there are various seasons to all God has made. But sir, who told that it was the right time to leave your children. We know about some parents, who would not bother to know the welfare of their kids. Haba! Lest we digress, let’s move to the point.

Here, we see the inquiry God made. Does it mean that He didn’t know where the man was? Definitely, He knew. But it was the duty of a loving Father to leave the son to tell where he is to know or test the actually limit and height of his son’s truthfulness. Most of us have erred in this regard. In this world, I have seen some parents asked their children their whereabouts which they already knew but for the sake of freedom, integrity and independence, they left the children to tell them where they returned from. In some cases, they would have told their children to their faces where they thought they could have been coming from which in most cases is always right. In your case, should they beat, scourge, scold or chastise you after telling them the truth, it does not in any way infer they hate you or dislike you. After all, it is written that, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten…” Yes, what you did was wrong. You went to the place they never wanted you to go perhaps not at that time. They know by experience and understanding (though number of years does equate knowledge) that location matters. Howbeit, if you lied to them about your whereabouts, either they beat, discipline you or not, there is one thing you must know, when the day of adversary comes (did I hear you God forbid – don’t deceive yourself, even if those days would not want to come, your lies would surely draw them near), they would seek you in the wrong place thereby delaying the help you would have received on time. Okay, let’s draw the curtain here.

Now, let’s come to God for understanding. If our earthly fathers/parents would go that far to care about our whereabouts and stations, how much more our God who knows the good and the bad places on earth and in heaven. There is another thing called “mislead”; even in search of God, many have sought for Him in wrong places. That’s not where we are going anyways. God is our heavenly Father? Yes, or No? Do you expect Him to do less or more than our parents here on earth? Definitely, even the unbelieving and atheists expect more from God. Count it all joy when He asks you “where art thou?” Believe me you, He knows your state. The location where you are presently is not hid from His eyes. The sinful and the righteous location of your being and heart are not in darken location before the Almighty. Day and night are alike before Him. God is interested in you. If the opposite had been the case, He would have left you to yourself for destruction and not for good. Listen and listen good, God wants the best for you. And if He should ask you like He said to Cain, “WHERE ART THOU.” Why must you lie to Him. Tell Him where you are. Are you a sinner? Tell Him. Enough of your hiding. This “hide and seek” game cannot help. Believe in Christ Jesus and you shall have a good location…

PRAYER: WORD OF LIFE – II

Father of glory, to you we return all glory. You deserve all! Blessed be your name Oh Lord. We thank God for life. In Christ Jesus we have peace and joy…other than Him, there is none elsewhere. We are forever sentenced to a life of holiness and righteousness since the very day we were chosen and saved by God through grace bought by the blood of Jesus Christ. It is unlike us each time we live contrary to that default settings God made in us. Every child of God is a lover of goodness, peace and righteousness. If you can sin and not weep over it, you are an heir of hell. If you can go into sin, and afterwards feel satisfied to have done so, you are on the road to destruction. If there are no pricking of conscience, no inward torments, no bleeding wounds; if you have no throbs and heaving of a bosom that cannot rest; if your soul never feels filled with wormwood and gall when you know you have done evil, you are no child of God.

It is another time to frequent the throne of grace. Another period and a precious moment to approach the presence and inner court of the Most High. He loves it when His children come unto Him for anything they lay down as petition. If you are to go to Christ, do not put your good doings and feelings, or you will get nothing. Go in your sins, they are your livery. Your ruin is your argument for mercy! Your poverty is your plea for heavenly alms! And your need is the motive for heavenly goodness. Beloved, we are to hear and see God as He is. Have you been seeing Him in action and you desire to see Him more? Are you among the people who haven’t seen Him at all but by the touch and pricking of the Holy Spirit, you desire to see and know Him… Now, it is time to pray.

LET US PRAY

1. Oh Father, I am grateful to have you as my Father, blessed be thy name Oh Lord – Mat. 6:9.

2. Merciful Lord, I come humbly and unworthy as I am without a plea but by the blood of Jesus Christ as ransom and His unchangeable word as the levy. Father, forgive me and have mercy on me in the name of Jesus – James. 4:4-6.

3. Holy Father, I want to see you. Open my eyes to see in the name of Jesus Christ – 1John 1:1.

4. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, reveal yourself to me daily and all the time – Gal. 4:9.

5. Oh Lord of host, you revealed yourself to men of old and they discovered their wretchedness and the need for them to have you as their God. Oh Lord, by revelation and light, make me to see you and deliver me from blindness in the name of Jesu Christ – Is. 6:5.

6. Father, by the reason of your revelation to me and the presence of your appearance in my life, let there be no appetite and strength in me to sin and disobey you henceforth in the name of Jesus Christ – Rev. 1:7.

7. Father, please by your mercy and grace give me the Holy Spirit and let Him come upon me mightily and afresh to be my guidance, teacher and companion for life in the name of Jesus – John 14:16.

8. Oh Lord my God, quicken me by your Spirit to do all you command me to do, to follow your biddings and to carry out your instructions till my obedience is complete in the name of Jesus – 2Cor. 10:6.

9. Father, make yourself and life real to Him in everyway and always in the name of Jesus. Deliver me from ignorance and let your presence however dreadful be real to and manifest in my life perpetually unto the glory of your name in the name of Jesu Christ – Gen. 28:16-17.

10. Lord of lords and King of kings, when from this world I depart, let me see and abide with you in glory in the name of Jesus Christ – Job 19:26.

And now Father, if you decide not to show yourself to us, we cannot blame YOU but all the blame and fault lies upon us. We are wretched, filthy, miserable and unrighteous. You are holy, Just, Merciful and faithful. As for corruption, it is our mistress and sin our schoolmaster. Pollution is in us and rottenness within our bones. All this encompasses us roundabout. And this we know that your eyes are too holy to behold iniquity. Oh Father, forsake us not at this time. It would be that, you just spared us for destruction. Wherefore should the men around say, “For mischief did He bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth?... Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which He promised them, and because He hated them, He hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.” Father, Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. Father, reveal yourself to us and let us return to you in the name of Jesus. Like Isaiah prayed, we say; Lord, reveal your arm to us that we and our children after us may believe your report and serve you forever. Amen.

REVELATION GREETINGS TO US ALL

WORD OF LIFE – II

We are alive because God gives life else we are nothing but dead men. Why are we alive then? It must be that God has a purpose for our living anything other than this, death would have been the perfect wages we are to be paid for all we have done against the God who loves us and gives us His only begotten Son. Father of life, we thank you for all you’ve done for us. We are altogether as dungs before you but by your word and mercy, you’ve cleansed us and preserved us as holy vessels meet for the work you wish to do. Oh that we know how to purge ourselves clean and pure for you always without spot, wrinkle and blemish! Holy Father, teach us to live aright pleasing and acceptable unto you. Oh that we have a pure heart and clean hands to conceive and touch you all the days of our lives! Father, help us! We are unprofitable and unworthy to be called your children. Yet you delight in us to have us to be called so. Father, make us worthy by your grace and to stay perpetually so in the name of Jesu Christ. Amen.

THAT WHICH WAS FROM THE BEGINNING, WHICH WE HAVE HEARD, WHICH WE HAVE SEEN WITH OUR EYES, WHICH WE HAVE LOOKED UPON, AND OUR HANDS HAVE HANDLED, OF THE WORD OF LIFE – 1John 1:1.

To an extent we’ve examined hearing the word of life. Now, it is time to see and behold with our eyes. However, we shall not explain much but by the use of some excerpts allowing the Spirit of the Lord minister to us. The explanation shall be in the text part. It is a true saying that much damage has been done to the Bible by explanation. It would have been best reading it and leaving the Bible to explain itself with such a sacred and eternal word written therein. John the Baptist when He say Him said, “Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world.” Isaiah, upon seeing Him said this about himself, “…Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.” When Moses saw Him, it was written about the man that, “But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off… And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.” John the Beloved from whom we have the above text saw the Word of Life and was afraid due to the appearance and with which form He showed Himself. John said, “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last.”

An excerpt from the lives of those who saw Him, what they sensed or experience and what they uttered thereafter might help us as well:
DANIEL: “Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength… For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.”
EZEKIEL: “So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.”
PAUL: “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.”
PETER: “When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”
JACOB: “And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.”
STEPHEN: “But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.”
Perhaps you are a feminist and you said, why is he choosing only men, there is a word for you as well. Are you saying, “since he only mentioned or listed men, it means women are not included and they have nothing to see.” Ha! We aren’t saying that to you because women saw Him too. If not, the writer of Hebrews would not have penned it this way that, “Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection.” Women saw Him as well. Listen to the testimonies of some of them and what they did…

SARAH: “And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken… And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.”
ELIZABETH: “Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.”
MARY: “And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”
THE SAMARITAN WOMAN: “The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ.”
MARY: LAZARUS’ SISTER: “Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.”
MAGDALENE: “But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,…Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master…Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.”

In order for us not to weary you with much words, however if it be the Lord’s will to bring you to Him with/by much words, we are rightly and eagerly ready to be employed to do so. Nevertheless, we shall not have much explanation but the main question for you is this: “Have you Seen the Word of Life?” We mean, have you seen Jesus Christ? No man ever saw Him and remained the same. At all! They became new immediately. What a transformation! But I am afraid that if you haven’t seen the Word of life you will not see the Kingdom of Heaven not to talk of entering it. Repent!

SEEING GREETING TO US ALL

ON THE GALLOWS

New things are what we know God for. His words, appearance, awesome power, glory, throne, Spirit. Yet, He is just as old as Himself. We should have said He is as old as time itself but what is time with God. Did He not create it? When there shall be no more time too, He remains and reigns. As old as He is, to the heart which is contrite and the humble soul, His word is life and Spirit to them. Thanks be to God for being there for us when there was nobody. It is not new to us that, "the Lord knoweth who to deliver the Goldy from temptation..." Being too familiar is the danger and caution. The whole world lives in awe of His Name and Power with not reservation, God is over all and above all. He is the fullness of all in all.

Now Believer, it is joy to your heart and oil to your bones having Him with you and it's sweeter than honey when you abide in Him. This privilege is given to the sons to enjoy and should the children of the Kingdom be left outside where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth? To them that fear the Lord the sun of righteousness shall arise and when it arises, it shatters tears and gloomy appearance. Today, by the grace of God, sorrow shall be turned to joy and shame shall be made and coined into singing and rejoicing. Thank the Lord with joy!

Today, we shall be talking about two personalities on account of fall and sin while on the other hand we have only one person to talked about. He is our propitiation for redemption, the man Jesus Christ.

SO THEY HANGED HAMAN ON THE GALLOWS THAT HE HAD PREPARED FOR MORDECAI. THEN WAS THE KING'S WRATH PACIFIED - Esther 7:10

Do you know the man, Haman? Have you heard or read about him? Time won't permit us to talk more about Mordecai for now but we shall stress a little point on Haman. He was not an Israeli but he lived in prosperity. He lived in plenty, palace, luxury and fame. This man was placed in an influential position in the arms of government. He was next to the king and was promoted too. Are there not people like Haman in this world presently, who know nothing about being children of God. They hadn't known what it means to be "an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no guile." They see the toils of the children of the kingdom and they mock saying, "ah, ah, see these wretched souls, they profess serving a living God but their lives have no proof of their profession." If you look closely, you should see these Hamans, men ruling here and there, making and marring laws and orders. They are men of the moment. Though they know not what it is to be redeemed. They have no regard for the blood of sprinkling but they live in prosperity. This reminds us that soon, "For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them."

This Haman was angry and wanted to destroy the Jews. On what account? It is because they have been commanded not to bow down for/to any person or graven images other than their Maker. Do we not find this to be true among men? When they want us to live contrary to God's wish and will. They vent their anger on us to destroy and wipe us off the earth yet they know nothing about the earth itself that it belongs to God our Maker and its fullness thereof. If you are in the shoe or state of Haman as we speak, return and be healed else the gallows of your transgressions, the stake of your iniquities and tree of your pride coupled with your anger shall render your body lifeless when your sins find you out. You pride yourselves in carnal and earthly possessions. You seat in position of order, authority and laws to break the bones of the elects and to see that the last ounce of their blood is poured to the ground... We have this to tell you even as the household and friends if Haman told him that, "...If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him." As loving as God is to you why do you delight in living contrary to Him?

NOW THIS MAN PURCHASED A FIELD WITH THE REWARD OF INIQUITY; AND FALLING HEADLONG, HE BURST ASUNDER IN THE MIDST, AND ALL HIS BOWELS GUSHED OUT - Acts 1:18

For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company. We have men whose characters and behaviours fit exactly into attributes above. We gather together but they are not of us and it should be rightly said of them that, "they are wolves in sheep-clothings."

This is a part most of us would not want to hear. Isn't the word of God as a two-edged sword? It is not appropriate to preach or hold unto this one leaving the other. That's wickedness in disguise. Now to our point. There are some who had been with Jesus. They went out with Him day and night. On the mountains to pray and preach, in the sea to sermonise and to see wonders, in the temple daily teaching and healing the multitudes. With all these, one would have thought it would be hard to find such a one going astray. Yes it is hard but it is not impossible. This man Judas was numbered with the apostles and had obtained part of the ministry but the gallows of his greed led him off track. Do you want to blame him, before you do let's examine ourselves. Is it not true with us that we Partake of the Lord's table drinking His blood and eating His flesh only to our own damnation and hurt when our hearts are not right? We are seen among the saints in the temple raising up hands and moving our bodies. Sometimes we render supplications and our hearts pray to God but still like this man, Judas, the gallows of bitter is about us for we are always angry when we see people doing our Lord good works and we exclaim, "to what waste is this oil which this woman poured...?

We love to mention His name in our mouths and to boast of His powers and might to people but we had our eyes on what to gain from his betrayal only to earn ourselves thirty (30) pieces of silver. Our hearts are far from Him. Oh, are there men like Judas in our midst? Do we have people who only follow the Lord for the bags and purse? Men unto whom the Lord would say, "...betrayest thou the Son of Man with a kiss?" Let not the gall of bitterness be found in thee against thy Maker because you shall by and by be led to be hung on the gallows of your transgressions. This must have been the reason it is written in the book of Deuteronomy that, "His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance."

CHRIST HATH REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW, BEING MADE A CURSE FOR US: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, CURSED IS EVERY ONE THAT HANGETH ON A TREE - Galatians 3:13

Every man hanged on the tree must have been guilty for his own sin. But it is not true with Christ Because He was not guilty - the Passover lamb must be blameless, without blemish and spot. The sins on Him were not His. The charges against Him weren't meant for Him. They were ours but He bore them in His own flesh. Every gallows has the blood of guilt and condemnation on it but on the gallows of Christ is justification and redemption because on it the blood of sprinkling was shed for remission.

He was made curse for us. Who does that other than Christ Jesus Himself... Both for the saints and sinners, chiefest transgressors and vilest offenders, elects and beloved, here is atonement for us. Oh, how dreadful and terrible it is to see the Lord in the cross bearing the curse. One agonizing sacrifice, one death on Calvary, one bloody sweat on Gethsemane, one shriek of “It is finished.” consummated all the work of redemption. Oh! the precious blood of Christ! I love it when I think it saves one sinner; but oh! to think of the multitude of sinners that it saves! Beloved, we do not think enough of our Lord Jesus Christ; we have not half such an estimation of His precious person as we ought to have.

We do not value His blood at the right price. Why, poor sinner, thou art saying this morning, “This blood cannot save me.” What! not save thee, when it is engaged to save thousands upon thousands, and myriads of myriads? Shall the shepherd who gathereth the whole flock together, and leadeth them unto the pastures lose a single lamb? Thou sayest, perhaps, “I am so little.” For that very reason then, thou dost not want so much of His power to take care of thee. “But,” says one, “I am so great a sinner.” Ay, then, so much the better, for He “came to save sinners, of whom I am chief,” said Paul; and He came to save thee. Ah! do not fear, ye sons of God; He who brought the Israelites all out in one night can bring you all out, though you are in the veriest bondage. Perhaps there is one of you who not only has to make bricks without straw, but has to make twice as many bricks as any one else, you think, and your taskmaster has a whip which goes right round you, and cuts the flesh off you every time; you have worse bondage than any one, your slavery is more intense, your oven hotter, your pots harder to make. Very well, I am glad of it: how sweet liberty will be to thee! and I will tell you, you shall not be left in Egypt; for if you were, what would old Pharaoh say? “He said He would bring them all out, but He has not; there is one left;” and he would parade that poor Israelite through the streets, he would take him through Memphis and Thebes, and say, “There is one that God would not deliver; there is one I had so tight in my grasp that He could not get him out!” Ah! master devil! you shall not say that of one of the Lord’s people; they shall all be there, the great and the small; this unworthy hand shall take the hand of the blessed St. Paul; they shall all be in heaven, shall all be redeemed, shall all be saved; but all, mark you, through one sacrifice, one covenant, one blood, one Passover.

In conclusion, we have read about the gallows we have. While one was for punishment of sin unto death the other is for redemption. Choose which thou would! Let not the gallows of your wickedness make you a candidate of hell. There is only one cross for you that can save you. You don't need two sacrifices neither two crosses nor two Passover lambs. You don't need two Holy Spirits neither is your case so worse to need two Christs. One is enough. One cross and Calvary is okay to bear your transgressions and penalty of sin. And that is Christ Jesus, lift up your eyes to Him and be saved ye ends of the Earth. And say to your Saviour, "nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling."

Heaviness in the heart makes the thoughts within it restless, sleep is lost and quietness is absent. Except the Lord helps us we have no hope of what tomorrow shall be. A restless soul knows nothing of peace and tranquility. Serenity is far from the abode of the man in whose heart the cares of this world are residing. If the Lord had left us to ourselves, we would have lost the most important gifts of all - that's life. There have been some times when upon our beds we couldn't lay still because of burdens and responsibilities. To worsen the situation, the archive of our sins added more salt to the wound making us to be in pain as we groan.

No one knows the importance and significance of health like that man who had been sick. No soul knows better the essence of being found like that creature to whom the saving grace of God found. To be lost is an awful experience but what a glorious and blissful ecstasy it is to be found. We couldn't have done these things by ourselves except the Lord is with us all through. Therefore, let us thank God the more for giving us health, salvation and protecting us day and night. Hallelujah!

Today we shall check through the life of one human and see what we can learn as the Spirit of God teaches us and brings the mind of Christ to us about this subject. We plead with your Spirit to please study the nineteenth chapter of Genesis as we continue. Many of us have known the woman (Lot's wife) for one peculiar reason which is LOOKING BACK.

I beseech you, let's take it from another perspective. If you say a man is good, to an extent take it or leave it, there must be a good woman behind him. Or haven't you read about another man about whom it is written that, "But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up - 1 Kings 21:25. Today we are not going to blame the woman because we are not in the position of a judge to do so. And if you desire to blame her, we have this for you, "...Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye."

BEHOLD NOW, I HAVE TWO DAUGHTERS WHICH HAVE NOT KNOWN MAN; LET ME, I PRAY YOU, BRING THEM OUT UNTO YOU, AND DO YE TO THEM AS IS GOOD IN YOUR EYES: ONLY UNTO THESE MEN DO NOTHING; FOR THEREFORE CAME THEY UNDER THE SHADOW OF MY ROOF - Genesis 19:8

If you call that woman a fool unto whom there was no previous examples, what should we be called that have read about her, we have heard the words of Christ for ourselves? We should be the greatest fools for repeating what she did. And if you still have delight to blame her, here this again from the very mouth of Jesus to you this morning, "...He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

With the help of his wife though, Lot was able to have daughters that didn't know man in the land of Sodom. You said what? Yes, virgins. In the land of Sodom. What excuse do you have sister for losing your virginity...? Is your environment worse than Sodom or more ungodly like Gomorrah? Oh, sorry we aren't blaming you ooo. That must have been a godly feat to keep. Many of us are not seeing his wife in the picture. This was a woman who stood by her husband. She must have taught them the precepts and ordinances of the Lord according to what God instructed them. Yet we are not seeing this, all we had our attention on was her looking back.

Do you know that it was after her looking back that her daughters and husband made a terrible mistake? You see how effective and important that woman must have been to that family. Yet it was her looking back that overwhelmed us. Before then, Lot was known to be godly and upright all the way through not until her wife's demise.

Let's deduce some lessons here: First, we must acknowledge that good works alone are not enough and they cannot save. The woman must have done some things in the past which were good but her disobedience was pivotal to her punishment. Secondly, for every act of disobedience, the consequences may not be upon us alone but upon our loved ones as well. Two are better than one says Ecclesiastes but the same book says "...one sinner destroyed much good."

Lastly, at some points, our hearts may be drawn to look back. Before you blame that woman, ask yourself, "haven't I looked back sometimes?" The cares of the world, the passion we have for things in it and the glamours present therein may want to envelope our attention even when God is calling us out of them. This is where we need to take heed lest we be like that woman. Let us fix our eyes on Christ the Saviour.

He saved us from Sodom. He would lead us to where we shall be saved only we shouldn't look back. It would be an act not common with God to start His work and not finish it. Had He rescued us from Sodom, would He not save us to the uttermost.

A word for the lover of the world more than the word of God. This Sodom shall perish one day. I know not when but it shall surely melt away. Listen, your good works aren't going to help except you do the will of the Father. Yes, it appears as if for the time being, all you would ever need is in the world. Is that why you look back? It only appears to be so, it is not real. The enjoyment you think the earthly things afford are only delusional. When the time comes, there shall be fire upon all of them melting and burning them off. Now, obey the instructions given you by the Lord Jesus calling you to come out of it...Except you obey and be born again, good works alone aren't enough.

FOR ETERNITY'S SAKE

As honey and bread to and for the hungry soul, so is our God's mercies to us. As water for the thirsty one likewise is the Lord's word to the weary soul. Take away God's mercies and love from a man's life then he is worse than a dead dog. It is true that, "living dog is better than a dead lion." But this time around, the dog that was once thought to be alive lost its life to the cold hand of death by not suing for the loving favour of God. As it is written for us that, "...in His favour there is life..." What would then happen if for a second His favour is found wanting in us?

It is for our own good if we thank God and live in and with consciousness of His Praise and thanksgiving. Show a man a way of livelihood or making a living; if he be a wise person, he will stick to it as the veins and tissues are to the neck and head. So, as for us, the way to live is "the way of praise, the way of thanksgiving, worship..." We have no other way than this. To whom do we Praise? God and Him Crucified. There is no foundation that is laid apart from that which had been laid that's Jesus Christ. He is our peace, mediator who has broken down the middle wall of partition. And those things which were written contrary to us He had erased and cancelled by His own blood. What a love! It should be a rebellious act and stack pattern of disobedience if we at any time fail to stand to our feet just to bow again at His feet for we who had owed much He forgave much. And now even much more than the woman with a box of albaster oil, who brought it to the Lord Jesus anointing His feet alongside with tears; we are to come bowing down at His feet too with humility and perfecting holiness with the fear of God to show how much we owe Him. Give us eternity times eternity to pay Him back in gratitude, they still won't be enough or amount to a billionth part of what He had done for us. We are graced! We are loved! We are favoured! We are Christ's and Christ is God's! Hallelujah!

FOR I LIFT UP MY HAND TO HEAVEN, AND SAY, I LIVE FOR EVER - Deuteronomy 32:40

Canst thou live forever, O man? Would you do all these things and continue to be the same person you're in this same frame of yours forever? What are your days? Number them let's hear you. Lay your hands upon your lips. Let not your mouth utter foolish words and refrain your heart from issuing untamed imaginations. Isn't the number of your days like that of a flower that blossoms in the morning and by and by as even call tolls, its fragrance and tenderness, beauty and colourful appearance all withered off? Isn't the day of a man like a sun rising in its strength early in the morning throughout the course of the day and at evening its all gone to its circuit?

Ah, poor souls in a frail frame and weak containers of earthen vessel...what do you have to say concerning the One who lives forever. What is your life? Is it not a speck of dust in the whole universe and spacious orbits when compared to that of your Maker and your God? From antiquity, if you know the date thereof to eternity if only your heart and calculative mind could conceivably know what dates they were... God has been God. He's is God still and there is no end of or to His reign. These things, I say, are too wonderful for me. If I were given the whole of everyone's life on Earth (over seven billion lives) to use at once over and over again and without count to know what the word FOREVER, ETERNITY OR EVERLASTING means, I would still not be able to unveil it neither would I be able to lift its curtains. So heavy were they that even the mightiest of mighty mortals would not by strength move them. So immovable, unsearchable and they past finding out. Yet, one person who does not know the number of ants in his house or the count the number of his hairs would open his or her mouth to blaspheme the name of God. Can you tell the number of the stars or call each of them by name? Ha! Fear for your soul if you love it and let not your foolishness consume you.

AND THERE SHALL BE NO NIGHT THERE; AND THEY NEED NO CANDLE, NEITHER LIGHT OF THE SUN; FOR THE LORD GOD GIVETH THEM LIGHT: AND THEY SHALL REIGN FOR EVER AND EVER - Revelation 22:5

We use this moment to call the Believer to rememberance...Oh what a bliss and tranquility it gives the heart to know that even if our days are here on earth numbered, there is another place prepared for us eternal in heavens, the abode of the Father of light being joint-heirs with the Son and in Fellowship with the Holy Spirit where we shall forever be. Do we have good things to enjoy here, of a truth we have but they aren't forever. How about our families, friends and fellow believers? Yes, it's all good to have them around. Oh how sweet it is for us when we see, live and be together with them...that sister you love, that Brother you cherish, that mother you care for, that child you cuddle, that father you like, that friend you speak to often, your spouse with whom you share affection, the atmosphere around you in your home and office. Oh, how good and glorious! But yet, they aren't forever but for a moment.

O elects of God, purchased of God, born of the Spirit and washed in His blood... when our work and walk on earth is done, thereafter, we shall cross the border into the yonder place, transcending the reign and reach of mortals in all ramifications... Oh there we shall be forever. Having availed yourselves for God's use and when the roll is called up yonder, at the trumpet sound when the angels shall give a grand welcoming parade and shout to the conquerors and overcomers not just once, twice or seldomly but forever to the glory of God who is seated on the throne. Oh, how glorious the sight and event is! Seeing crowns given and stars on them. Hearing new songs which none of all the musicians, singers, minstrels, artistes combined which the earth has produced had or would ever sing... You're not going to hear them like a 4-minute track or 2-hour album but it shall be forever.

Not just those alone...what a powerful and exceeding dimension it shall be when you see the One whom you loved and your Lover. Not just the way some preachers described Him to be...you know people can be exaggerative but their exaggeration would never measure up to God's standard. Then and there, like the Queen of Shaba told Solomon we fancy we should utter the same words but in a higher level of celebration that, "Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard." We shall then see God the way He is in His grandeur, wonderful appearance, exceeding greatness, unapproachable brightness, wisdom and glory unmatched and indescribable - and that is FOREVER. We shall see Him forever. How delightful and desirable are the thoughts of FOREVER for the righteous and them that fear the Lord. O Beloved, for ETERNITY'S sake don't rubbish your soul. Don't joke with it. To what would you compare being with your Lord and God for ever? Nothing! We say nothing and nobody!!! And to round it up with you, O comrades. We are not just going to see Him as He is but we shall be like Him and that it will be forever! Hallelujah! "...Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see him as He is."

Do you have trials now, how about temptations, troubles, afflictions, health challenges and other disabilities for with much tribulation we shall receive the crown of life...O beloved fret not for you shall be like Him. Is the thought of a loved one who died by burning in a flaming inferno troubling you? Oh that man was handsome until his skin was ravished by that deforming disease... Don't panic, that man, that woman whether he or she died solemnly or in a ghastly accident at the last day having been Redeemed and saved by faith shall be and look like God forever. For eternity's sake, don't lose your crown and place, we plead with your Spirit.

AND THE SMOKE OF THEIR TORMENT ASCENDETH UP FOR EVER AND EVER: AND THEY HAVE NO REST DAY NOR NIGHT, WHO WORSHIP THE BEAST AND HIS IMAGE, AND WHOSOEVER RECEIVETH THE MARK OF HIS NAME - Revelation 14:11

I tremble and quake as if the terrors of hell and the lake of fire are hereby shown and revealed to me. The bones of my knees are not in agreement with one another. They beat against each other. The strength within fails to support my frame. Ah, sinners fear for your souls. I beg you with everything you love and beseech you with everything you hate, please don't earn yourselves a position in that bed of fire burning with fire and brimstone because it shall be forever. There is no repentance there. No second chance. No purging not to talk of purgatory. Ha! Creatures made in God's image and likeness, fear the word "FOREVER" for that would be the word so common in the world to come. Its syllables shall be heavily pronounced by sinners with pains though.

We are not talking to self-righteous people here. Away with you scribes and Pharisees hypocrites. But to those who know that the present enjoyment, merriments and gains will only spell everlasting repercussions of doom and woes, please come and repent. How I wish I have the tongue of the learned to carry you along the timeline of eternity to see for yourselves whether by Providence you should repent. How I desire to speak with the tongues of angels to your poor minds. Ah, Lord touch your people, let them not choose the way of perdition because it is forever.

But to conclude. Methinks I see thee in some place in hell, tied to a rock, the vulture of remorse gnawing thy heart; and up there is Lazarus in Abraham’s bosom. You lift up your eyes and you see who it is. “That is the poor man who lay on my dunghill, and the dogs licked his sores; there he is in heaven, while I am cast down. Lazarus—yes, it is Lazarus; and I who was rich in the world of time am here in hell. Father Abraham, send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, to cool my tongue.” But no! it cannot be; it cannot be. And whilst you lie there, if there be one thing in hell worse than another, it will be seeing the saints in heaven. Oh, to think of seeing my mother in heaven while I am cast out! Oh, sinner, only think, to see thy brother in heaven—he who was rocked in the selfsame cradle, and played beneath the same roof-tree—yet thou art cast out. And, husband, there is thy wife in heaven, and thou art amongst the damned. And seest thou, father! thy child is before the throne; and thou! accursed of God and accursed of man, art in hell. Oh, the hell of hells will be to see our friends in heaven, and ourselves lost. I beseech you, my hearers, by the death of Christ—by His agony and bloody sweat—by His cross and passion—by all that is holy—by all that is sacred in heaven and earth—by all that is solemn in time or ETERNITY—by all that is horrible in hell, or glorious in heaven—by that awful thought, “FOREVER,”—I beseech you lay these things to heart, and remember that if you are damned, it will be unbelief that damns you. If you are lost, it will be because ye believed not on Christ; and if you perish, this shall be the bitterest drop of gall - that ye did not trust in the Saviour.

May God grant you never may feel the torments of the lost. Only conceive that poor wretch in the flames who is saying, “O for one drop of water, to cool my parched tongue!” See how his tongue hangs from between his blistered lips! How it excoriates and burns thereof of his mouth, as if it were a firebrand. Behold him crying for a drop of water. I will not picture the scene. Suffice it for me to close up by saying, that the hell of hells will be to thee, poor sinner, the thought that it is to be forever. Thou wilt look up there on the throne of God, and it shall be written “forever!” When the damned jingle the burning irons of their torments, they shall say “forever!” When they howl, echo cries “forever!”

Doleful thought! “If I could but get out, then I should be happy. If there were a hope of deliverance, then I might be peaceful; but I am here forever!” Sirs, if ye would escape eternal torments, if ye would be found amongst the numbers of the blessed, the road to heaven can only be found by prayer—by prayer to Jesus, by prayer for the Spirit, by supplication at his mercyseat. “Turn ye, turn ye, why will ye die, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord, I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, but had rather that he should turn unto me and live.” “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion.” Let us go unto him and say, “He shall heal our backslidings, He shall love us freely and forgive us graciously, for His Son’s name’s sake.” Oh! If I may but win one soul to-day, I will go home contented. If I may but gain twenty, then I will rejoice. The more I have, the more crowns I shall wear. Wear! No, I will take them all at once, and cast them at Jesus’ feet, and say, “Not unto me, but unto thy name be all the glory, forever.”

LORD, YOU KNOW!

We give glory to God both now and forever more. Hallelujah! It is a good thing to give thanks to God says the Psalmist, always in the morning, afternoon, at night – at all times. Being grateful to some, is by choice while to others is a must. Which category do we belong? It is to our advantage if we belong to the category of it is a must – not just on a compulsory or forceful term but to understand that we are not complete without it and that we are not living at all if all we do is not to please God. Therefore, it is a form and sort of rejoicing to our heart when we, with one accord, in singleness of heart and gladness lift up our voices as a body to glorify our Head. Perhaps the change we desire starts from here.

AND HE SAID UNTO ME, SON OF MAN, CAN THESE BONES LIVE? AND I ANSWERED, O LORD GOD, THOU KNOWEST – Ezekiel 37:3

Most of us are so fast and swift in response whenever God asks us question. Whenever this happens, God is always patient with us after all said and done and there is no change, then He asks, “are you ready to hear me out.” [emphasis]. The approach used by the prophet is a good one to imbibe, inculcate, learn or draw lessons from. Prophet Ezekiel could have answered the Lord in a simple term, “yes, they can” with such a brightened face and delightful countenance. But nay, he waited on God’s response to the situation. There are some situations in life that draw questions either from or to God. Either ways, instead for us to patiently listen or wait on God to hear from Him, we speedily delve into making decisions for God or rather let’s say for ourselves. It is going to be a blissful thing the moment we start to say, “O Lord God, thou knowest” when He asks questions from us. We shouldn’t be too forward in our speech before Him. Have you kind of sought for what God is saying concerning this situation you find yourself?

And again, it is noteworthy to state that there is an ill attitude or stale behaviour to this end also. Whenever some situations befall us, there are sometimes, confusion sets in. As children of God who bought with a price, purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ, what should be our response, expression to this? Should we start to question the existence, power or wisdom of God? Due to this state of man, we have been behaving as if God longer knows anything. This is shown in the way we convey our prayers to Him. Let’s say this, if God were to be man, hearing and seeing the way and with which manner many people articulate their words in prayers before or to Him, He wouldn’t hear not to talk of answering. We speak as if God does not know all things anymore. Our way of life affirms this in a sense. How good and pleasant would it be if everyone of us begin to approach God as He who knows all things. What a state of reliance and dependence!

HE THAT PLANTED THE EAR, SHALL HE NOT HEAR? HE THAT FORMED THE EYE, SHALL HE NOT SEE? – Psalms 94:9

God has eyes, so He sees. He has ears too, He can hear. Conclusively, God knows what we are going through. God loves the world. Do you think He will leave His loved world without doing anything? More so, God loves you. Dear fellow steward of our Heavenly Father, are you troubled and perplexed on every side like apostle Paul said, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair”? God knows. Many believe that God is no longer in control in this word. Don’t allow these junks to become our daily food. He is fully in charge. Do we have trials and temptation at present? God knows. Are we being despised and reproached among friends, families and foes daily? Pressure from within and without? Oh, child of God, do not despair. Don’t lose hope. God knows. The times are hard. True! The period in which we are is terrible. No doubt about that. Discouragement and disappointment are here and there. Yes, you are right. But you know what? God knows and He is doing something about it. In fact, He did it long time ago and He is still doing something about it. What is it that God is doing?

AND YE NOW THEREFORE HAVE SORROW: BUT I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN, AND YOUR HEART SHALL REJOICE, AND YOUR JOY NO MAN TAKETH FROM YOU – John 16:22

Whether in gladness or heaviness of heart our firm and undiluted resolution is that, God knows. Our thought on this is not compared to that of priest Eli to whom the word of the Lord came, instead for discipline and repentance to begin he said, “He is God let Him do whatever He willeth…” No, that is not to be our approach. If there are some unpleasant situations some uncomfortable circumstances surrounding you at present, God knows but maybe He is expecting something from you. You see, a just God cannot forgive sin except it is paid for. Of a truth it is paid for through Jesus Christ, so come to the atoning Saviour.

HE SAITH UNTO HIM THE THIRD TIME, SIMON, SON OF JONAS, LOVEST THOU ME? PETER WAS GRIEVED BECAUSE HE SAID UNTO HIM THE THIRD TIME, LOVEST THOU ME? AND HE SAID UNTO HIM, LORD, THOU KNOWEST ALL THINGS; THOU KNOWEST THAT I LOVE THEE. JESUS SAITH UNTO HIM, FEED MY SHEEP - John 21:17.

It is one thing to ask God questions upon questions but another thing when He ask us. And indeed, we should really tremble if God should ask us questions. We shouldn't let our overconfidence rob us the joy and pleasant answer we would have received instead. Claiming we know more than God is not a good trait. And again, there is yet another thing to take note. During the period of joy, happiness and and ecstasy, we are very prone and swift to making confession and promises to. We need to learn from the response of Peter too. He had once boasted of dying with Jesus and to be crucified with Him but it turned out to be a sorrowful weeping for him. And now the Lord of Glory is asking him yet another question for the third time going, knowing what that could mean, he replied, "Lord, THOU Knowest..." Don't say you are too strong and that you know all things... Not you, but God knows. It is one thing to know God and another to be known by God (for God to know you). Indeed, we should wait on Him.

Finally Brethren, most of life challenges can be dealt with or solved if we come to God faithfully with the understanding and knowledge that He knows. God is not blind that He cannot see and neither is He deaf that he cannot hear nor His hand short that He cannot save. He sees all. He knows all. Probably some of us have been living in and on the secret side thinking He does not know and that He does not have us in mind. That is erroneous. Please, let us acknowledge that He knows. Therefore, Brothers and Sisters, Daddies and Mummies, Ladies and Gentlemen, concerning that plight, that business, that marriage, that career, that situation at hand, that project, God knows. He really knows Do you believe He knows? Our resolution and conclusion on that matter peculiar and relative to us is that, God knows.

Obedience to the commandments contained in the New Covenant that is Jesus Christ is what God commands of all of His creation. Given that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to the Father... no amount of prayer for grace or any other thing, can cancel out the Truth that is Jesus Christ.

Why do we pray Sir?
Obedience to God has prayer as one of its constituents. Jesus' prayer life is more written about in the Scripture. Every now and then He talks about His Father. He talks and speaks with Him always... Moreso, in Chapter 17 of John, those were parts of His prayers. Obedience is not a substitute for Prayer neither would Prayer substitute obedience.

The commandments calling on us to pray are only a part of the New Covenant, but not the only commandments Jesus Christ set before us. So, as to how much time one ought to spend in prayer, one should consider that out of about 46 commandments, there are only about 4-5 that relate to prayer.

Thank God they are part. Since they are, should we cut them away from they whole body? Never! Be it far from God! To God, nothing falls short of perfection. Of one is taken away or broken of the whole 46 commandments, are we saying there's no big deal? I doubt it, admittedly. Not one out of the 46 is meant to be left undone or unkept. Thank God you said, we have 6 of those instances. Hallelujah!

Jesus Christ, the New Covenant, already tells us exactly how, when, where, and what to pray for... below are the where, what and how commandments as far as prayer is concerned.

What is and why do we pray? If these are not settled, the questions of how, when, where and even what to pray won't be addressed accordingly. I firmly believe the word of God that we need pray, whoever believes otherwise does not change the Word of God on the subject of Prayer.

As regards our ability to hear, we all know how to hear... we have been doing it since the very moment of our birth. According to Jesus Christ, if we truly obeyed Him, we would recite the Lord's Prayer, exactly as Jesus Christ gave it to us, every time we pray. How many of us know exactly how to recite the Lord's prayer? Most everyone out there does, but how many out there pray the Lord's prayer exactly as Jesus Christ gave it to us, whenever they choose to pray? See some of the commandments that relate to praying in the New Covenant.

"We all know how to hear" please we need more clarity on this Sir. Hear who? Even faith begins with hearing while obedience we are talking about here begins with faith. So we all know how to hear is not clear. Hear who? Man? God? Or who? In the Lord's prayer there are three basic needs of man, food, forgiveness and freedom. Yet they are included in the Prayer... Are we wiser than Jesus who included them in the Prayer... God wants us to pray and that we must all obey. But that we should only obey Him and not pray is what I can't comprehend Sir. Jesus said, men ought to pray, not just to pray, but to pray always. ALWAYS there is a point of emphasis. Always. As much as we Obey, we must pray... Always.

Everywhere we look, we see that we were in fact called to obedience, but instead we have chosen to become like the Pharisees who ignore the weightier things of the law so they can focus on those things that pleases their senses,disregarding the Will of God in it all.

We shouldn't forget Jesus said our righteousness should even be more than the Pharisees. Yes we are saved by grace but should we who have been saved by grace do less than they who are under law? I doubt this. And Again, we aren't save by righteousness but we are saved for it.... To do righteousness. And I think, pray is right. Isn't it? And he that knoweth how to do good and doeth it not, to him is a sin.

Prayer in and of itself is expected of us. But we have made a religion out of it, in the name of God, ignoring the other commandments and requirements that God has set for us to work.

Thank you Sir for this point and clarity here. Prayer is not a substitute for obedience and obedience is not a substitute for Prayer either.

Jesus Christ, the New Covenant that God has made for His people, is the only Standard for His church. Your world-churches are built on doctrines and traditions of men and are ever fluctuating, dependent on the hearts and moods of men.

By this "your world-churches" I don't think you mean you don't belong to a Church?
CHOOSING THE PERFECT CHURCH

You may ask, "Where is there such a Church here?" I don't know. My advice is very clear: [b]if you find the perfect Church don't join it; you will spoil it.[/b]That is advice that has been given everywhere around the world. There are some “butterfly” Christians who are going from one church to another all the time, looking for the perfect church because they think they are perfect and they need a perfect church. There is something a little wrong with that.

Saying that God is not there is admitting the truth of your world-churches. God was never at the foundation of these churches and He cannot settle for that which is not of Him.

To you Sir, going by Jesus definition of and for a Church, what does a Church mean? Maybe from there we can know and continue....

There is no ministry of Prayer! There are commandments to pray and Jesus Christ was explicit about the How, When, and Where of it.
Praying will NEVER get anyone into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ... Only one thing will and that one thing is Obedience.... Obedience to the Commandments that is Jesus Christ, the New Covenant of God.

The prayers one failed to pray before Temptation comes, he would have to pray after Temptation but not with the same speed or response and confidence it would and should have been initially. Jesus prayed, Haba! And even in one of the prayers it was vividly written glaringly that, "...not my will but your will." Also, part of His will is that we call on Him... Should it be discarded?

Again, most of those who claim to believe and preach these things have no real understanding of what it is that they refer to, and so it has only reasonable become hard to keep up with the faulty meanings that have instead been applied and that is the reason for the fatigue you see in the belief in these concepts. People are tired of being lied to.

What does it mean to be Perfect as God is perfect?

Doing the will of God. That's loving what He loves and hating that which He hates. Jesus said, ma shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Here, we have obedience. This should be known that, even the good we claim to do or better still, the good or kindness we are doing becomes bad and evil when God says it is bad and we should stop. That people are tired is not a surprise and we shouldn't be amazed because Jesus said the love of many shall wax cold majorly because there will be deception. But we have been promised that we should be of good cheer the Saviour has overcome and we should continue to endure to the end. Not just to endure but to overcome.

God never said Righteousness is Old. But how many people know and understand what Righteousness refers to as far as God is concerned?

It depends on how you choose to define this fear of God that you speak of.

Simply put, doing what is right before God. Agreed! Righteousness is not old. Therefore, we should not in any way accept any philosophy of men trying to tell us that it doesn't matter anymore. We must stand upon our watch.

Your fear of God is meaningless to God if it is not accompanied with a passion to do His Will. God has called man to one thing and one thing only, to Trust and Obey Him. The call to fear him is not that you cower in fear of Him, but that you put His Will and desires above yours as you Obey Him in all things.

The fear of God in this context is to obey Him. Serve Him in fear and trembling. This can be perfected in we loving Him. However, many have dwelt too much on the fear of God while others are at the exteme end of the love of God. We hear many preaching "a God without wrath that will bring people without sin into a kingdom without judgement by the ministration of a Christ without a cross." Which to us is no gospel at all. If you love me, Jesus said, you will keep my commandments. Also, when sending the disciples out on a mission, He said, "don't fear those that can kill the body and nothing more but Fear Him that can kill both the body and soul and cast them into hell."

From the time of the first man, Adam, God has indeed equipped up with the faculty necessary to obey Him ,what remains is for us to in fact do as He had commanded.

Going by this example, if there is one thing children are good at which God loves, it is dependency. Ever since we have learnt to do things on our own, there have been a whole lot of contradiction. At any sight of danger, children always run to the next available adult for helping by stretching out their hands which God expect us to do. Abba Father. In my opinion based on the word of God, Whosoever that does pray to God is proud. Invariably, he would be telling God, "don't worry, I don't need you and I can do it myself."

Why do you think you need to pray? Because you bought into man's lie that prayer is they key. But if you carefully learn of the New Covenant that is Jesus Christ, you would understand that prayer is not what makes you right with God. No, Obedience of His commandment is.

We're not meant to pray by showing off ourselves. Neither are we to use vain repetition. Aa Christians, we don't pray alone. The minimum number to pray is four. Lest I'm quoted wrongly, I woul like to explain this. We pray to the Father, through the Son and in the Spirit. How well are we to obey, if we have not learnt to hear from Him or how can we do anything if He hasn't spoken. No fellowship or relationship can go smoothly without communication which pray stands on. For the fact that we have misunderstood the concept of pray does not change pray from what the Lord expects from us. To this end, even though it has fallen into bad and wrong hands, should we then fold our hands and not pray anymore.

John the apostle of Jesus Christ repeated this in his letter to believers all over the world.

The New Covenant that is Jesus Christ consists of about a total of 46 commandments and only about 4 or 5 of those are in reference to prayer(when, how & why of it). Do you ignore obedience of the other commandments just so you focus on that which you want to?
And while we are still on the subject of prayer, do you even pray the way Jesus Christ commanded you to pray? Or do you pray as men have taught you to pray?

Yes of course men have changed the order. Wait, kindly understand me. Hope you know we are not arguing? And if I discover that this turns out to be, I would rather stop. I wouldn't want to believe that you're trying to say prayer is not need because what did Jesus ever do without praying. He pray all night long and taught all day in the temple. Before choosing the disciples, He prayed. While He was tempted He prayed. On the Cross, He kept on praying and even right now in the right hand of God He is still interceding for you, for me and everyone of us. In will conclude here, no one knows the love of God, obedience of and to God and even His glory more than Jesus, yet He prayed and believed in praying to the Father and I'm not prepared to call Him a liar.

Fasting, the kind you and I are well aquainted with is no sacrement of any kind. It is a duty to the body and the body alone. The most you can achieve by fasting is the toning of the human body as far as fasting is concerned.
The Fasting that God commands however, is a fasting of a different kind, and it is by that fasting that I believe Jesus Christ, the word of God, was indeed refering to there. What is the fasting that God commands? Read Isaiah 58 to learn from God Himself.. the Word of God.

Will you obey God at His word? Or will you continue to pray pretending God asks the imposibble of you?

Generalisation is not the matter here. I would rather say the kind of fasting I formerly knew and got used to but not again. Yes with doubt, many are using fasting to slimfit, to get in shape bodily, to regulate obesity but that's not for us. Or is it otherwise? In book of Isaiah where the reference is found chapter 58 it doesn't mean we should not fast. It does or says that in or during and after the fasting we should do what pleases the Lord by not following after wickedness. About this, Jesus Christ said, this we should do without leaving the others undone.

The only that matters is the Body of Jesus Christ himself. Your world churches have nothing to do with Jesus Christ's body. Instead your churches were founded on doctrines and traditions of men, lies, as far as the word of God is concerned, and Jesus Christ warned against following after these lies of men as what happens is these lies NULLIFY the power of God in the lives of those who adopt or follow after them....Look in your churches today and look at the world outside of your churches and see how the world inside only serves to mirror the world outside.... God is not there. So belonging to a church will only serve to push one who really believes in God farther away from the Truth of God and smack into the hands of men whoses kingdoms those churches serve..

I'm afraid to say this but I have to say it. The main reason we have argument about the state of the Church and its responsibilities is because the Church has not created a standard to which a dying world might have turned. We wouldn't have to be extremists before we need to understand the Truth. Saying He's not there is synonymous to saying He's not everywhere right? Also, saying that God is not there is quite understandable only by going with the word of Christ which says, "time will come that we would not need to serve in Jerusalem or that mountain but in Spirit and in Truth." Then, if we serve Him in that location (Spirit And Truth) He should be there too. The model of the Church presently is going about being a kind of One-Man-Show which supposed not to be. However, we should and must always be careful about we speak about the Church because that is the bride Jesus (The Bridegroom) is coming for not the one built with stones and marbles. Let us examine ourselves if we be in faith.

Jesus Christ told you that Obedience is the key, not prayer. You can pray until you are blue but the only way, according to Jesus Christ Himself is for you to step forward in obedience of His commandment. Even the growth of your faith in Christ is based on your obedience of Him.
God does not change His mind or ways and He certainly has not changed in what He desires of men. From the days of Old, He has always called on Man to obey Him, and Him alone. But as documented in the old testament, disobeyed God over and over, and God endured man, but never changed His mind about what He demands from man.

Yes Sir, obedience is the key. How well can we go about this without praying... All we need to know is that many people are now of the opinion of that we don't need to pray before doing something whatsoever. How true is this?

God tells you over and over, if you do what He commands(not if you pray), He will grant you the very desires of your heart. Will your constant praying change this commandments of God?
Even before the religion of Judaism and Christianity showed up later, Fasting has always been a denial of the body of that which it needs in terms of sustainance(food mostly). There is nothing "spiritual" about the act and God verifies this in Isaiah 58 when He instead tells you what He would rather you do on those days that you choose to fast.

In our quest to explain better, let us not deviate from the simplicity of the Gospel. Fasting to an extent means denial no doubt. Does it mean that we don't need it anymore now. That it is old? Jesus said that. "these things go not forth but by fasting and praying..." We can therefore say fasting is a sacrament... A physical event with Spiritual effect. The flesh is weak... The Spirit quickens and is willing. But are we willing?

God is everywhere... He is omnipresent but God does not live everywhere. In fact He does not inhabit man-made structures, so HE is definitely not living in your "house of gods" and the lot. He makes His home in the hearts of those who belong to Him, but no place else on this planet is holy and so not for Him.

For sure no doubt God is everywhere and He shall bring every secret work to judgement. Anyway, The context of this is for those using it has an excuse from belonging to a body. In the Gospel according to Matthew, Church is mentioned twice. First in chapter 16 where Jesus said. "I will build my Church..." That's the universal Church. Secondly in chapter 18 where it says, "if you brother offends you go to him....then after that go to Church..." Church means a body to which you can report or speak to. In our philosophy of saying God is everywhere, many now claim to be part of the Body of Christ (The Church) without belonging to (a church). What does this mean? We need fellowship... Don't we?

CARES OF THE WORLD

There are so many things in life which we want and other things fall into the category of needs. Whichever way they fall, one thing is clear and one lesson must be learnt that not all are needed or good to be desires or to have in possession. In all things, we need to know that all which we would ever wanted is provided in God and by Him all things consist. How much we realise this, determines a great deal of appreciation towards Him and how well we know this Truth goes a long way to affect our behaviour. If you don’t know, let us be reminded again that, our beliefs affect our behaviours. The way we react or take God in all we are engaged in/with has a lot to do with our believing Him. The way we believe God to be, affects all aspects of life such as thanking Him, praising, praying, gratitude and others. We ought to let our light so shine before men when they see our good works that they glorify our Father in heaven in return.

Cares of the world started a long time ago. Satan coveted it [the world], he wanted all to himself. No wonder he is called “the god of this world.” Hence the great gulf of separation between him and his Creator was made without any reversal. Deception from him had made man to forget the eternal glory and the presence of God. The woman was deceived; “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat…” From then on, people of various backgrounds and diverse culture have been given to cares of the world which normally comes in form of desire. We want this, we want that. I need this, I need to get those. Such has been the legacy given from generation to generation handed down to this age. If we thoroughly check and weigh it through and through, we shall discover that in one way or the other we care. Not that to be caring is bad but we have channeled it towards the carnal and earthly perishables. This is affirmed in, “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.”

Achan was a man given to the cares of the of the world. This leads to a question, how often do we give ourselves to the cares of the world against the will and the commandment of God? How many times does God has to speak to us before we listen and obey? That man heard the instruction of the Lord given through Joshua not to take anything whatsoever. In our case, we not only take anything, we are after everything. We just want everything to and to ourselves. For how long? Achan heard the good word of the Lord just like many of us today. He was right there in the camp of the people of the Lord like us. Yet he proceeded in doing the abominable and accursed by going against the commandment of God. How many times would God instruct us before we believe? Many of us like Achan have taken so many things which we can liken to cares of the world and these are the elements hindering our seed, speed and progress making us not to run the race set before us… WE ARE LOADED BUT WITH THE CARES OF THE WORLD! WATCH OUT!! “…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.”

AND THE CARES OF THIS WORLD, AND THE DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES, AND THE LUSTS OF OTHER THINGS ENTERING IN, CHOKE THE WORD, AND IT BECOMETH UNFRUITFUL – Mark 4:19

Oh, my wife! Ah my husband! Oh my business! Oh my parents! Hmm, my friends! My children, my marriage, my job, career, cars, house, health, and others. These are all part of the cares we are talking about. Our thoughts are cumbered. Our daily activities are tightly scheduled. Occupied, busy, stressed are not new or uncommon terms to us at this present age. All thanks to the cares of this world. So, are you telling me that we should not care for them or these things? No, that is not what or why we are stressing the point here. But should we care for them enough to a level where we become unfruitful, unprofitable, “un-useful” and irrelevant altogether filthy? I guess we wouldn’t like that. But that is exactly what we are doing and what is happening to us. The word of God is choked in our heart when we start caring more for other things, persons other than Him. Our first love for Him would gradually become cold and ultimately chilled by giving our time for treasures earthly things afford. Some of these come in thought of “what to eat”, what to wear. Do you realise that many people are so obsessed about the way they look or appear nowadays. What about plastic surgeries, artificial make over and make-down. What is that for. Just cumbered with so many things that there is no place for God in us anymore. Why? Always here and there, up and down, to and fro… Go have mercy!

FOR WE BROUGHT NOTHING INTO THIS WORLD, AND IT IS CERTAIN WE CAN CARRY NOTHING OUT – I Timothy 6:7

Recently, we have been hearing news of embezzlement which is now taken as a norm. Millions and billions of dollars gulped singlehanded by a man. Why? Kindly tell that man whosoever he is that, “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” That does not mean having money is not good but should we acquire it so much dimension of hoarding in our possession that we lost every sense of fear of God? Another person, building many mansions and estates for the sole purpose of showing and bragging about his wealth. Such glorying is not good says the Scripture. Please, pass this message across to such a man and if you are the one, learn this that, “Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.” What for? Vanity upon vanity said the preacher. Other acts of injustice and lack of God’s love is vividly seen among men. These are just confirming what God’s word instructs that, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Some can kill anybody in order to ascend a position. There are others who could destroy a nation in order to get just the treasures buried in the earth such as gold and diamond. Of what use is that?

This is told in the word of God that, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” Out of all reasons and boundaries, one is clear that, if we allow the cares of this world to take over and rule our heart, the god of this world would soon take over and we should soon forget the ONE “who so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Let us leave the loving of the world to God! Think now, and repent if it calls for it. Most of these cares of this world won’t come in a form where we can easily identify them except we see them through the Spirit. How far and how long have you given yourself to the cares of this world? It is not too late or too long. With God all things are possible. Listen, nothing can satisfy us other than God. The earlier we know this, the better. Care for God and His things. Care for Jesus. Seek first the kingdom of God…!

THE ULTIMATE RANSOM – The Blood [II]

Thanks be to God for such indescribable dimension of graciousness He bestows on us daily without blinking an eye. God so trusts us with the life He gives that we undoubtedly should reciprocate His love in our daily activities.

Thanksgiving is what we need to do to, failure to understand this is the beginning of uproar and uprising in the facets of life. Many people do think that saying this or making this makes no sense at all and also that it makes us to be fanatics or too religion. Well, whatever the case may be, if giving thanks to God without fail has become sheer religiosity or being too religious, no problem, we are ready for that. We accept that accusation as a compliment. We need not be forced to worship and show forth the majestic praise of our Maker from whom we have all that pertains to life and godliness according to the knowledge of Him that has called us unto glory and virtue. Praise the Lord at all times.

WHO HATH BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM IS THE ARM OF THE LORD REVEALED? - Isaiah 53:1

The question above is purposely chosen for what we are about to discuss, see and handle of which many still doubt or find hard, difficult and too unreal to believe. The question had always been, how possible could that be? You don't, mean it, that some died and by His death all are justified, No way! This must have been the reason the prophet said that, "even if I tell them this they won't believe me." And about this, Lord said. I will do a thing in your time that even if it was told, you wouldn't believe. This state of unbelief is what we need to address soonest. Blood is such a sacred thing that scientifically it is proven that it contains identity (DNA). God was manifest in the flesh - great is the mystery of godliness!

From the previous text, blood and its importance was stated and how it was used for atonement. People use it for rituals and other forms of irregularities in different spheres of life. Today we shall be focusing on the blood that speaks better than every other blood. The blood with the greatest efficacy and atoning effect. Of this blood it is written that. "it speaks better things than the blood of Abel." Also, that this blood pleads for our forgiveness and always interceding for us - our advocate. Once again, as we continue there is this possibility of people's reaction to this that would prompt one to ask, "Who hath believed our report?" How can this things be true.

FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN: AND THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER: AND HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL, COUNSELLOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE - Isaiah 9:6

First and foremost, let's look into the Birth of the person from whom the blood is gotten. The human race has been polluted. Morally sick, physically shrinking, soul-wise separated and spiritually dead to righteousness. This affected the earth, trees, oceans, the land and everything present therein. None among us could save not even the holy priests and fiery prophets. The righteousness of the righteous couldn't deliver likewise the wickedness of the wicked was on a rampage. The earth which God created for habitation to be filled with His glory has been turned against Him by those whom He created and made. Again what shall we do? Noah made sacrifice to God instead, but that only produced a covenant to sustain the earth with fruits and seasons not to save man. Abraham went further to believe yet the promise was far ahead of him. David a man after the heart of God only heard of the promise but did not handle/receive it. To Moses was given law. All these were done in the similitude of what God had on mind to to. The Prophets gave prophesying upon prophets till they all died in expectancy.

At last, the Saviour was born. His people did not believe Him like in our present age where we still have people who can't just come to the understanding of believing Him. To that young lady Mary it was said. "blessed are thou among women." What a word of consolation and peace only to be told that the son she would bear would be crucified and His blood shall be for remission of sins. "(Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,)..." One thing she did right was that, "she kept these things in heart." I just pray that as we shall be hearing God daily, we will keep His word in our heart also. The Son of Man would be counted among sinners to take their place. Before now, never was it done neither has it been heard nor told that a good man preferred to die in place of sinners. He was justified before Pilate. Three times was He pronounced, "not guilty." And so must it be that the lamb for sacrifice must be without blemish.

THE ULTIMATE RANSOM – The Blood [I]

Our praise to God should be unconditional likewise our adoration of Him. In the same measure should our thanksgiving and worship to Him be poured out lavishly and majestically. God alone is worthy to receive honour and glory. It is shameful and out of absolute disrespect if we fail to do what He expects from us. It is emphatically written and categorically stated in His word that, “…for they that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.” And you know what? No one, nobody had ever wanted to be dishonoured? Or do you want that? This statement is not meant to be taken on the surface alone without thinking about the effect it has or places on our whole being and personality. Therefore, we are all implored and encouraged to give what belongs to God to Him, and this we need to do always – in Spirit and in Truth. Hallelujah!!!

FOR THE LIFE OF THE FLESH IS IN THE BLOOD: AND I HAVE GIVEN IT TO YOU UPON THE ALTAR TO MAKE AN ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS: FOR IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKETH AN ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL – Leviticus 17:11

Many of us do not know all that the blood entails. Blood is such a sacred fluid in the body which the Lord of Host Himself had given for atonement. It is not to be eaten. The blood is not for food because it contains life. Scientifically proven and godly-established. In some tribes of the world, some people still take blood as food. Some do boil it and to them, it serves as food. To those people let us reach out to them and say, “STOP IT!” Blood is not for Food! It comes with a replacement effect, whereby, the soul of a man is substituted for it. If eating it is abhorred, what about shedding it? Killing in any form is to be frankly discouraged and capitally punished by death. Period! Thou shalt not kill. The disasters in the world presently cannot be fully separated away from shedding of blood. Blood of the innocents. Blood of martyrs. Blood of babies. Blood of leaders, citizens, and many more. This has affected the productivity of the land. The land that should have produced the best of the best fruits and farm produce has been cursed with a curse to bring forth thorns and thistles. All due to the way we have taken blood - Abortion of whatever form is inclusive.

THE HEADS THEREOF JUDGE FOR REWARD, AND THE PRIESTS THEREOF TEACH FOR HIRE, AND THE PROPHETS THEREOF DIVINE FOR MONEY: YET WILL THEY LEAN UPON THE LORD, AND SAY, IS NOT THE LORD AMONG US? NONE EVIL CAN COME UPON US – Micah 3:11

As you would have thought or expected, it got to a level when all these got perverted in their means and methods. Corruption came, lack of justice and righteousness became the order of the day. False prophets and false requirements for atonement were given as we have them today. The prophets prophesy for gifts and the ministers (the priests) ministered for gain. All sought their own things and not God’s. They profane the Holy altar and temple of the Lord. You could not have expected less. The holy duty commanded us by God have now been profaned and desolation was now present in the holy temple. The sacred things couldn’t not be separated from the unholy. This has been the case ever since then. In this we need to know, everything God has given us for better relationship with Him, we have turned them upside down using them for our own personal gain. There are some that are now using the Spirit of God (The Holy Spirit) for personal gain. They are always fond of saying, “Thus saith the Lord, Thus saith the Lord.” When in the actual and real sense of it, God did not say anything. Some even prophesy peace where there is no peace. Aren’t we supposed to tremble at the presence and voice of the Most High? Oh, God please, have mercy and show us your lovingkindness.

Anyway, that is not the focus for today. We are looking into the ransom paid with the blood. Of all bloodshed and splitting, one supersedes them. Among the blood of goats, sheep, animals and even humans, one comes with more price and worth above all. In centuries past, the blood of lamb, goat and other animals such as turtledoves, pigeons etc. were used for atonement – forgiveness of sin, peace offering, meat offering, thanksgiving offering; “And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.” The most common is the sin offering. People brought animals and fruits for sacrifices. The blood of animals was used for replacement. So, when the beasts were slaughtered (not strangled), their blood were sprinkled on the ritual so that the wages of sin was paid. Some animals were used as scapegoat also. Moreover, we have been told that, “…for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” From then on, the wages of sin (disobedience) was death.

BEHOLD, ALL SOULS ARE MINE; AS THE SOUL OF THE FATHER, SO ALSO THE SOUL OF THE SON IS MINE: THE SOUL THAT SINNETH, IT SHALL DIE – Ezekiel 18:4

In fact, Ezekiel heard from God also that, “…the soul that sinneth it shall die.” So, what can we do to take away or manage death? No human could take it away. It was then God proposed the blood of animals instead. And in the very early years, blood of animals was used for sacrifices to take away death and diseases also for forgiveness. Although, many tribes and ethnic groups of the world are still practicing this act – let us desist from this act. Names have been given to this. Others are using it for ritual of all kinds and measures. What we need to know is that, all of these are not enough to give the assurance we need, the power we desire, the strength required, the hope of glory we all want and the confidence of having a cordial relationship with our Maker. If the blood of hen, fowls, beast won’t and can’t do this, what shall we do?

ATONING GREETINGS TO YOU ALL

WHO DECEIVED US? PART II
From the previous part,, the ministry of prayer is gradually being watered down. Where as, we do find time to eat and we won't say WE EAT TOO MUCH. We allocate part of our day to materialise carnal things without any thought of being too much. Why must it be prayer? Take it or leave it, if you're not praying, YOU'RE PROUD. It's just another way of saying GOD I DON'T NEED YOU.
PERTAINING TO HOLINESS: Talk of holiness before people nowadays; they will say, IT DOES NOT MATTER, CHRIST PAID/DID IT ALL. Agreed! He did it all. But is this a good reason to abandon that which he has committed to us. Don't forget Jesus said, "... MY FATHER WORKETH HITHERTO, AND I WORK -John:5:17". Shall we then say, the Scriptures which says, "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.-1 Peter:1:15-16", can be broken? God forbid!
RIGHTEOUSNESS IS FAR PAST: Please, I need an answer. Why should we be made to accept that righteousness is of old? That it's no longer relevant or required in the dealings of/with God. Okay ooo, continue YOU HEAR. If the righteousness Abraham, Enoch, the Prophets, the Apostles had is now old to us, then I prefer the old - righteousness. Just know this, "Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: BUT KNOW THOU, THAT FOR ALL THESE THINGS GOD WILL BRING THEE INTO JUDGMENT. Ecclesiastes:11:9". You must be righteous not just in words or deeds but in Truth as well. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous 1 John:3:7. Righteousness is a nature. If you're not; you cannot.
DON'T FEAR GOD: Another deception is making rounds, that we need not to fear God. Ha! Haba!! Why na? That God has not given us the spirit of fear. For sure this is true but don't let us put the cart before the horse �. Unarguably, God is Love. When we talk about fearing Him, that is the only fear permitted... We need and must fear Him... If we have little or minimum fear for God in Church today, we shouldn't be surprised if there's none in the world. Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, YET SURELY I KNOW THAT IT SHALL BE WELL WITH THEM THAT FEAR GOD, WHICH FEAR BEFORE HIM: Ecclesiastes:8:12. See this - Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. FEAR GOD. Honour the king. 1 Peter:2:17. Saying with a loud voice, FEAR GOD, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. Revelation:14:7. Also according to Philippians 2:12, we must work out out salvation with FEAR and trembling.
I write you because I know the terror of the Lord. Therefore, I persuade you that you shouldn't give in to deception... Search the Scriptures and lay hold on that which is true and the TRUTH.

WHO DECEIVED US? - Part I
Deception has been given various definitions but it's getting clearer by the day that with all our KNOW-HOW and meaning about this subject, we're undoubtedly being deceived...not all but many, "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way - 2 Thessalonians:2:7"
ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED: Who brought this to us...probably it has fallen into wrong hands who have misinterpreted the concept and the nitty-gritty of the Gospel... Where should we then place the word of Christ which says, "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: "but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." -Matthew:10:22"
TOO MUCH OF PRAYER: Why this again... Some will tell us not to rely on prayer alone that we should take steps ... Is praying not part of steps... We've been made to believe that we can pray too much. Capital NO. Should we then discard the word of Jesus which says, "And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Luke:18:1" or Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John:16:24
FASTING: To some extent fasting has been bastardized and philosophically thought whereby the efficacy and potency of the things spiritual are taken for granted and almost of no effect .. Who did this to us?
Another error is GOD IS EVERYWHERE: Haaaa! While I won't say much on this yet I have an ought with the beliefs and tradition of men... Why on Earth would you say God is everywhere... Okay the omnipresent right? Without controversy, HE'S THE OMNIPRESENT. Why the temples and the bodies prepared for Him Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: Hebrews:10:5 ...He chooses a place for His name don't be too carried away not to regard this ..
Who deceived us that we don't need to go to church again, because God is everywhere... Chai!!! God help Us!!!

OPEN LETTER TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA ON THE CURRENT GLOBAL PANDEMIC

God bless Nigeria!

Thank God for all He is doing in our country ever since independence, amalgamation or even before the world started. On behalf of the leaders of this good country of ours, I say thank you God! We all must learn the act and art of thanking God in all things. To the incorruptible and honest leaders and head of institutions, may God continue to uphold you and your family. To the corrupt and unjust rulers, may God grant you a repentant and teachable heart. Also, I sincerely acknowledge the efforts of all ministries and their representatives fighting tooth and nail to see to the prosperity of this Nation. Without doubt, for as many citizens who are in one way or the other contributing to the growth of the economy and humanity in this country, God will strengthen you more and more in grace to continue until the results are evidently ascertained.
To start with, this letter is written not to pour out sentiment, irrational emotions or resentful feelings but to call our attention to something we might have probably forgotten, neglected or despised. Just as the motto of the Country says, “FOR UNITY AND FAITH, PEACE AND PROGRES” so is the objective of this letter. To make peace with God and our fellow man in order to enhance an unhindered progress. To unite us as a nation and to help us come together as one as we all know that, “UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.” Likewise, this is not an avenue or medium to start blaming anyone for the present state of the country neither, are we to start castigating and antagonizing. We all know that, to some extent, we are all responsible for the current state of the government and the truth is that, none of us is ready to change or do anything about it. Oh, how I wish we all will do that which is acceptable to God and not just men.
This is my first time of writing this form of letter, kindly accept me the way I am but understand the burden behind this write up. I will not be writing in a political perspective however necessary. The point with which I will coin this is from religious and technology. Religious in this sense does not mean religion and technology is not limited to computers. They are the major terms to be used. Some questions are going to be asked herein, get conversant with them, they are not new though. Before I continue with this, don’t be after the typographical errors neither should you be too concerned with the grammatical structure of this letter. The situations with which we are in are not grammatically constructed. They are not typographically constituted as well. They are real and not abstract. Therefore, read with your spirit and not body. Let your whole heart beat for it not just the head. Feel the passion and have compassion on humanity. Who knows maybe God will use you to effective implement the desired and long-awaited change.
To the best of my knowledge, the Federal Government of Nigeria is trying but the system needs to be changed. In short, the system is bad. The term common to the type of government we run in this nation but many of the leaders don’t want to admit is “CORRUPT THE BEST, FORGET THE REST.” Isn’t this true? The leaders can answer for themselves. If a man tends to cry out for justice out of the masses, those at the top will recognize such man as a threat. Threat, not just to justice this time around but against their selfish and wicked wiles. Indeed, the scripture is fulfilled that, “YEA, TRUTH FAILETH; AND HE THAT DEPARTETH FROM EVIL MAKETH HIMSELF A PREY: AND THE LORD SAW IT, AND IT DISPLEASED HIM THAT THERE WAS NO JUDGMENT.”
The elected leaders are not after the welfare of those who elected them into power. The toxicity of power has taken over an absolute man. You exact laws anyhow just to carry out personal ambition. Of a truth it is glaring that the laws that are not favourable to those at the top are not executed. The spiritual stand of this country is dangling and if care is not taken, Ah! God have mercy. A wise man once said that, “INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS A THREAT TO JUSTICE EVERYWHERE.” In this country is there justice? If you are to call an incumbent government to give an account of all that is going on during the tenure, all you hear on headlines are; fire engulfed the office, snake swallowed this, rat ate that. What is this? Are you telling me we don’t have senses to think for ourselves anymore? Never! There is seemingly nothing that has not corrupted us. Money, women, position and power coupled with fame. Beware!
Ministers, Senators and House of Rep members in Abuja should also take heed. Most of these men and women are in the top affairs of the country. Especially the men, they go and hang out with young girls they know not their source – some are from the marine other from God knows where. They get paid though. The Senators would be thinking they are having a ride for their money. No! Wake Up Sir! Wake Up Ma! It is more than a ride. Having affairs (sexually) with them opens the affairs of the nation unto their ungodly and devilish counsels. No wonder, they (leaders) come up with irrational and unreasonable decisions affecting the growth and peace of the nation adversely.
Again, another thing we need to consider is comparison. As a country we love to do or make our things, legacies and ideologies to meet up to WORLD STANDARD. To what end? What's the essence of having it/them in the world's standard and not God's? Let's think on this. One of our major challenges in this country is this. We want to do this and that as and like the US, CHINA, UK, ARAB NATIONS are doing theirs. That's the beginning of confusion.
Our laws are patterned according to theirs. Our own customs and traditions are abandoned for theirs. Or haven't we forgotten our culture totally? When I say culture, I don't mean worshipping idols. Gradually, a common child is losing the virtue of respect for the elders in our society. Pupils are misbehaving, we say to teachers don't beat them. And if they beat them, you get the teachers arrested. What nonsense! Mind you, I'm not in support of child's harassment or molestation either. But must we always accept whatever these people give to us?
THUS SAITH THE LORD, LEARN NOT THE WAY OF THE HEATHEN, AND BE NOT DISMAYED AT THE SIGNS OF HEAVEN; FOR THE HEATHEN ARE DISMAYED AT THEM - Jeremiah:10:2.
As a country, have we for once sat down and think on the form and type of government God wants for us? No! Have we asked the Lord about the OLD PATHWAY? I guess the answer is No. Every day divorce cases are rising and increasing. Are you surprised? No, don't be surprised ... Aren't we learning how the US and Britain are courting, BOY-FRIENDING and GIRL-FRIENDING? If care is not taken, I just pray very soon we will not start having 1 out of every 5 as single mother in our society.
Our educational pattern, scheme, schedules and curriculum are not ours they are theirs. What's our fear if we fail to follow their standard and make God our standard in all? That they won't accept us when we are through because it's not their standard? I'm not trying to be logical here but haven't we discovered that all they gave us are to make us SUB-STANDARD. Don't ask me to prove this...because I won't. I can't do that for you, do it yourself.
BUT I WILL FOREWARN YOU WHOM YE SHALL FEAR: FEAR HIM, WHICH AFTER HE HATH KILLED HATH POWER TO CAST INTO HELL; YEA, I SAY UNTO YOU, FEAR HIM - Luke:12:5
Again, as a country, we should not make man our standard neither should we follow the order of other countries, it will only make us to pay tributes to them. And if we think we cannot survive without them, let's start first and see. No doubt, the first few years would be shaky as it is known with or for the beginning. But if we fail to break away from comparing our country with other or taking them as standard, I'm afraid this will be the beginning of a fallen Kingdom like the children of Israel of old.
The point we are to note here is that, we all as citizens of this respectable country should look unto God as the right and perfect standard for measuring progress in any sphere of life and government else, it's a costly mistake that neither we nor generations after us will be able to pay or make up with. This is because, WITHOUT GOD WE CAN BUT DO NOTHING.
Now, let us address the issue of the pandemic briefly. What is the way forward? STAY AT HOME? SELF – ISOLATION? TOTAL LOCKDOWN? As good as the options are, they not going to give us guarantee of the good health we desire. One after the other, we need to cross-examine. I found an article about some days ago from which I extract the following points.
First, STAY AT HOME is a good measure but it is not working here for us. Europe studied her circumstances and arrived at a conclusion that, self-isolation and social-distancing would work. With this in view, the citizens where provided with the needed amenities and necessities. Here in Nigeria, we try adopting their methods and patch it up with lies. A common man in this nation lives below N200 daily, living from hand to mouth. What have we done as a nation? Even the little done, in the next few months when all these things go down, lies of trillions and billions of Naira spent will surface and whereas one-thousandth of the amount was not spent.
Closing or the shutdown of worship centres is not the solution. You would soon discover that, those that would be smitten by fear, hunger and other spiritual wiles would be greater than the main reason you have ordered for the closure of worship centres. We should have all read the part of the Holy Book which says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it – Isaiah 2:2.” The Mountain of the House of the Lord shall exalted above the mountain of entertainment, academics, economy, government. Believe me you, this is coming to pass. Repent of this wickedness! Be wise! Don’t be deceived!
Some prominent men of affluence are still coming in and going out till present with an undisclosed detail. Who are we deceiving? Do we fear God at all in this nation? Three things are to be tested throughout the during of service. The quality of service, motive behind the service and the faithfulness in the service. Let us ask one another this questions with sincerity and deep conviction. Are we rendering qualitative service? Do we have good motives in and for the service? Are you faithful?
This is a call to repentance. This global pandemic is not a coincidence. Don’t be deceived! Call it a plague or pestilence if you like but this is to show us that God is still the one ruling and controlling the affairs of men. If we were to be told that Mr. President would not travel, we would have argued this (I don’t mean to be harsh). And that Senators, Ministers and some governors would remain in this country without going offshore or abroad to lavish the wealth of our country, I’m sure we would not believe. Since we are at home (Nigeria) now, please let us all open our eyes to see the need and to have them met instead of seeking solution abroad. Some of the excuses the Federal Government and Presidency give are; “We don’t have enough facilities”, “workers are not competent”, “the system does not support it”… Who is the cause of all these? You – The Government!
By now, it is expected of us to humble ourselves and turn to God for solution. Repentance is needed and confession must be done. Don’t be ashamed! God has promised that, “But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.” And also “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Indeed, our land is in need of healing. God heal our land!
In conclusion, righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Therefore, learn to do well.

STOP � SHOUTING ��

These days your voice is heard almost everywhere you go. Why? Some people are losing relevance but they don't know just because some friends are still cheering them up. Shut up and listen! Others speakers are also derailing but they don't know due to comments, likes and shares they do receive on their social media page which makes them to feel, I'm still there. Ah! Sir/Ma, off you go. Many more are going down the drain but unknown to them, because they do hear people echo, ride on pastor. Hello, this moment, stop shouting. Add value... Listen and listen good.



Other categories are happy because whenever they speak, people marvel by saying, "whao! whao!" This has made them to think, their relevance is intact.

If you are reading this, think upon this, "am I a tinkling cymbal or a sounding brass?"

Would your voice be heard in the great beyond? Would God hear your voice in the highest heaven? If not, shut up.

Can you say to this mountain, be thou moved and go to yonder place? If not, why the shouting?

Before you speak, listen!

Blessed be the Name of our God for His goodness and wonderful works to the children of men from whom we have received and grace for grace. Also, it is expedient and important for us all to acknowledge His supremacy as God over all and in overall control which He continually proves without fail anytime men decide to show they can do without Him. No one can deny His graciousness, mercy, protection and salvation to as many that have received the free gift given us in person of His Only and Holy begotten Son, Jesus Christ. As a Church and a nation filled with the presence and the Spirit of the Most High, we shout, Hallelujah!

Also, before proceeding any further, for every good work and valiant acts carried out by the Christian Association of Nigeria in all that had to do with the peace, goodwill and love of God being shed and spread abroad, God will keep this body and continue to prosper His word in the heart and mouth of every representative and arm of this body that the Word of God will grow so mightily and prevail indeed in the Name of Jesus.

To the Spirit of the Saints and Just men both living and asleep in Christ, to the Church of First born whose name is written in Heaven and for the blood of Jesus shed on the cross for remission of sins, this is written to encourage and comfort as many soldiers of the cross who have fallen into the precious guard of the Great Physician to receive a crown of glory that fades not. This will also be a form of an appeal, pleading, instruction and reproof. Kindly accept me in my little folly as Apostle Paul would say.

First, like Jude said in verse three, “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” This is my first time of writing to this noble representative of God’s body here in Nigeria, please bear with me and understand the burden with which I write.

How on earth would the body of Christ be mistaken for government of the world? Should His body be shaken by what shook the world? Never! The world is running from one calamity to another as it was foretold by the prophets and the Holy Apostles which was established by our Lord Jesus that all these are the beginning of tribulation. What am I driving at?

Why should you order for the Closure of churches or better still, let me put it in the right words shutdown of Churches? Is that the solution to the pandemic which is apparent that the judgment of God is gradually coming upon the children of disobedience?

Spiritual things are spiritually discerned, I hope we are aware of this? With this, it is clear that there is authority and jurisdiction. Authority is only effective within the jurisdiction of its enforcement. God told Elijah to choose three men before his death. Why? For the sole purpose of executing judgment. Period! These three men were, Elisha, Hazael and Jehu. “And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay – I Kings 19:17.”

From the above text, one thing is clear. The strata of authority must execute judgment and righteousness accordingly else this would surely lead to a higher pandemonium. The Church has authority likewise the government but right now it is as if one is overstepping the other. The judgement that escapes the sword of the world should not escape that of the Church and the offices thereof.

This letter is not to blame or show prowess in knowledge but as we have been admonished that we should instruct and correct in love, I do this in the same manner. The church in gradually giving the authority meant to govern her welfare to the world. Where are the Daniels that at the face of this common law of shutting down the worship centres, would dare to open not just the windows and doors but the roofs and other available openings? Where are the people like the three Hebrew boys that at the face of trials of any one who dare to ask anything from another other than vaccines and STAY AT HOME and STAY SAFE terms, that would not count it anything to suffer shame? But like Peter and John with one voice they would respond by saying, “…We ought to obey God rather than men – Acts 5:29.”

At the face of this pandemic disease, we have started reasoning like the world and in due time, it is clear that we are scheming for the world what they should use against us when the time is ripe. The Philistines could not overcome Samson if not for his brethren who handed him over. The slave traders had no power to make Joseph captive but for his brothers. No one could lay hand on Jesus to take Him and arrest Him if not through Judas. Isn’t it glaring that history is repeating itself? The government cannot stop us from worshipping God in the house we have called with and by His name but you (CAN) have encouraged that. Just because of this disease, you have temporarily postponed the joy that angels should have been engaging in higher dimension for making thousands of souls not to repent making our worship to look like just ordinary gathering. You have denied the world the proofs of our calling by telling them that a virus is higher than the whole of army of Christ combined. What a shame!

I strongly believe that if appropriate measures are not taken to this effect, God would raise radical men of spiritual rascality that would not count their lives to worth more than to do the biddings of the Captain who said, “Go Ye into the World…” But Nay, you have changed the Go Ye into the world to STAY AT HOME in support of what the world thinks to be solution. Says who? How has the STAY HOME helped in stopping the pandemic? Please, be sincere.



Is there no Balm in Gilead? Where is the potency of God’s word in the mouth of the faithful? Is this same God not sovereign over wind and sea anymore? Aren’t we jeopardising the faith given us to be exercised? This thing works with wind. Can’t wind answer to God’s word? Or have we forgotten so soon that it was written, “And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him? – Mark 4:41.” Is the STAY AT HOME of a thing a wisdom from God or from scheme of men? Let us repent! I know you would try to defend this by saying words like, “wisdom is profitable to direct”, “wisdom is a principal thing.” Is it the wisdom from senses, earthly and beggarly elements or what? You would soon discover that, those that would be smitten by fear, hunger and other spiritual wiles would be greater than the main reason you have ordered for the closure of churches. Repent of this wickedness! Be wise! Don’t be deceived!

Tell me, what has the closure of Churches done to reduce the pandemic in our nation. Has it not brought about the rise and increase? We have raised the consciousness of an average man to a level of “GOD CANNOT PROTECT US, THEREFORE, LET US START PROTECTING OURSELVES.” Who deceived us? This is a deadlier state than this phenomenal pandemic itself. Just before I write you soonest depending on the response given, like Mordechai told Esther, “Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews. Who knows, maybe God allowed you to be His representatives this time around because of time like this, to stand and defend the true course of His nature. Think that God is weak to defend Himself? No! Never! If you won’t restore the gathering of believers in times like this, God will raise men and women that have neither honour nor fear for men. And don’t in anyway think that you can escape from incurring His wrath. For it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
