Did d govt teach them any skills?
They didn't care to sanction the govt about that, but they were always on social media fast once their allowances wasn't paid as at when due. It's the sorry idea of civil service, they don't care to work but want payment.

A serious government would have engaged all those youths in commercial farming such that we can have enough food for local consumption and earn some forex through food importation.
Exactly!

No one is saying the obvious. Isn't N POWER supposes to be skills acquisition so they gain skills then be independent? Guess they learnt nothing there then if they are still waiting for government to feed them forever.

Health / Re: Man Abandons Wife After Birth Of Conjoined Twins In Imo (pic) by Omojudy: 11:50am On May 28, 2020
She delivered in a maternity, high chances are she didn't have an ultra sound done during the pregnancy nor was a CS done to birth the children.
Pregnant couples should try doing better. It's costly I know but life costs way more. Lastly government could really do much more. RIP mother of twins.

I feel it's better to just add 100k and do ivf instead. The new clinic I'm using, charges around 400k for everything including tests and blastocyst sef.
Although, we had to do an emergency surgery that cost us extra sha and the doctor still gave us plenty discount on the surgery since it wasn't planned.
IUI success is not encouraging in my opinion, and you'll still suffer the same injections and all.
Please clinic name, location and contact.

This time last year, he gave around 800k IVF quotation, 135K(double insemination) for IUI, both are subject to changes, depending on amount or type of drugs u eventually use during procedure. Then perculiarity of the case, like age, etc
Thanks you.

MrDebonair:
Omojudy. You mentioned doing a cerclage. Indication for Cervical cerclage is Cervical incompetence or insufficiency. Which could be as a result of malformation. Reason women lose pregnancy at early stage. Failed because it didn't solve the problem.

Hope you get the summary now. cool
Well, failed may have been that the cerclage broke. The cervix wasn't incompetent. Cerclage was just tried without a diagnosis saying we needed it. Since there wasn't any confirmed diagnosis then.
Why are you even summarising? People should get used to reading.
Family / Re: My Journey To Motherhood by Omojudy: 12:40pm On May 16, 2020
MrDebonair:
For those who find it hard to read long text.
Summary:

Cervical incompetence > Failed Cervical Cerclage> Surrogacy >Twins.

Congrats Op.
Oh well, even you no get the summary correct, the first two are definitely wrong. And is that long? If I tried writing all that I wish I could write from those experiences, it would have been three times as long.

My sister, you are extraordinarily strong and positive in nature. You don't easily give up even when it seems the best option is to give up. You are a great fighter. May God bless you.

The man that stood by ur side is a strong man. He's God's send.

For that man that abandoned u when you needed him most... Well, I don't know what to say.
The worst thing that can happen to a woman is getting married to a man that does not have his own will. A man that all his directives come from his parents and siblings without stopping to check how the directives will affect his own family.

Please permit me to share ur story.
Thanks you. Feel free to share.

Congratulations!

How were you able to carry yourself without any baby bump? Then boommmm twins appear.

Your neighbors & colleagues will surely have alot questions for you.
Well of recent I have began owning my story. That gave me liberty. I opened my Instagram account for the twins long before there were born, then when it was time for naming I simply told those who had been seeing me "I birthed twins by surrogacy, tomorrow is the naming, you are invited". Let them argue in their brains.

Please delete your comment. My children will live long healthy and successful lives, I will have sons after these daughters and together we shall create a dynasty. Burying their dad and I at a ripe old age after we have seen their grand children the way my grandmothers were able to see my children.

I guess they do it because of the stigma attached to it in our society. With people like you coming out and being advocates of this harmless process, we can begin to reorient the poor aspects of our culture.
I didn't have it easy either for my decision not to pretend or to give this testimony. But after all I have seen in life, I refused to live for the audience anymore. It is what it is, sorry if my decisions offends people who don't care about me in the first place.

Will be nice if you share the hospital that help you diagnosed the real problem, cos of many families that having Fertility issues.. It seems a good hospital, not all this money hungry centers
Oh I was recommended at LASUTH to run the hysteroscopy. Lasuth didn't have the facility then, so I did it outside. Most big fertility clinics have it. I brought back the result to LASUTH as expected to interprete.

Nigerian needs to start exploring surrogacy.
They do, they only pretend to carry the belle themselves by wearing fake pregnancies or travelling abroad.

She is the original owner. We have known her on TTC( trying to conceive) in thread/ health section on nairaland till she backed out after a while and later posted she was saving money for surrogacy. I knew all this gist before she went for surrogacy. The only info she hid from us was why she opted for surrogacy but she eventually opened up on her Instagram account after she put to bed that it was a congenital issue. I even followed her to Instagram the month she opened the account when the babies were one month.

You can check back her posts from 2017 on trying to conceive thread on health section ( if she hasn't deleted them) .
Cheers!
Thanks mama. I didn't really hide my reason, was just going through a lot that period. I think I opened that IG account when the pregnancy crossed the previous risky marker ie 14 weeks. I choose not to believe this pregnancy would end the same way despite people advising me against announcing them before their birth.
Surrogacy or no surrogacy, It has only been God!

I don't know the church you go to but there are some churches, you can't tell long epistle testimony due to the fact that you are to be brief. They are time conscious not against science.

Well in my church, we send in testimonies as messages and the pastor reads it. Only on special instances do we even see the testifiers.

You think pastors would like it if people told truth that they did surrogate or convieve trough medical means?
They are advitising medical means not the pastor's church.
I have not done dedication because of lockdown, I wonder if they will permit me to say my story, abi will I even be interested in saying it there self? All my close church family know sha.

Congratulations to you. So where you also able to adopt the child?

May I ask if the surrogate agency are in Nigeria?

Please your answers to my questions are needed
I should still be able to adopt, but we would close the application when we are recontacted.
Yes there are many surrogate agencies in Nigeria but their rates were beyond me. But people do exist who link willing surrogates up for a linking fee, then all arrangements and agreements will be left to you. Similar to what I eventually did.
