ETX is scam. My sister applied for transcript since Feb 2020, I had to push with all the resources in my disposal till it got resolve today. I had to get someone contact , and he was so reliable and sincere.

To be frank, IFE stopped using ETX officially, but those guys wouldn't tell you. When you go through them, they then use the newly official process. This you can do yourself.

Thanks @Maziude

maziude:

They should apply normally.

Then whoever is their relative and n Canada will send an email to a particular email address used for immediate family processing.

when inviting your parent for visit, what is the best approach. Heard it takes forever. Heard some still have application since last year.

Someone just said IRCC has a different portal for family, not sure how valid is that.

Tobey Federal program is a bit difficulty - It will be nice to see who has used this stream from Nigeria.

START-UP VISA

- Letter of support from designated angel investor group or venture capital fund or business incubator
- Language CLB 5+
- proof of sufficient fund
-Up to 5 applicants for one business is allow
- If the essential applicant is rejected by IRCC,the other applicant will be rejected.

Self-employed person

Cultural/Athletic Activities
NOC group 51 and NOC group 52 etc

That is why I am not looking at the federal part

tobey2ng:

Check start up visa on Canada.ca.Its a federal program for business class.Best of luck

Which province, and what approached did you use? Which stream ?

If you say self employed. What business did you use?

iameneekle:
c

If you mean self employed (business) PNP, I applied using that route.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Omonoba1981(f): 3:00pm On Nov 02, 2020
Thanks alot for the information. But do you think there is anyway I can contact the person for more information.

If he went to Alberta, was it via Business route.

I have never check Ontario, I only check Manitoba. I just wanted to see which best approach the person took.

corpershun:
.
I know a church member that used the business route, though he went to Calgary, Alberta. He’s an “egbon” so I can’t approach him for such info but this is the information I got when I was doing my findings

Canada Permanent residency by investment has the following cost structure

Ontario - $227,500
Manitoba - $187,500

Cost includes the investment cost (franchise) and the processing fees. processing period is between 8-11months
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 10 by Omonoba1981(f): 6:49pm On Nov 01, 2020
The IRCC federal stream seems to be tricky. I am actually looking for those that went through Business stream via PNP.

Of that has been able to get exploratory visa.

Mohammedbashir:
This is the investor route, which I believe is quite expensive. I do not know of a person that had migrated to Canada through this means.

Instead of doing a mail today. I did like two webform, one to Lagos and the second to Nairobi.

I also had to upload the course time table. I hope they already started or about to send the passport back. else cant see how the flight thing will work for Friday.

Blema111:

So sorry about that...they are really unpredictable beings. Just keep sending mails and web forms.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Omonoba1981(f): 11:50am On Sep 25, 2019
The issue is not rescheduling the flight. The problem is the course is schedule to start Monday. And this is done once a year. All payment has been made including accommodation.

quote author=Blema111 post=82548532]
Normally, they might not respond if it’s not yet 15 days but try and elaborate on the mail you sent. The worst scenario is to reschedule.[/quote]
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Omonoba1981(f): 11:35am On Sep 25, 2019
Decision was made by london. I can resend to nairobi, if I can get their email.

From chat conversation with vfs. Was sure the lagos office should be the one processing the counterfoil.

Blema111:

Did you send to Nairobi?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Omonoba1981(f): 11:16am On Sep 25, 2019
That we have done . Flight information and request for passport document and a letter from RCMP - Course training schedule to start next week Monday.

Blema111:

Attach your flight itinerary to the mail you send to them. Hopefully by Friday or you reschedule.

Hello Omonoba1981,

Your uncle can use his younger brother to drop his PP at the Vfs but he should go with the print out of collection slip/paper/document, his photocopied PP bio-data page, and a written consent letter. After the drop-off, he will pay for a return courier service to any destination because nobody will be allowed to pick it on his behalf once the counterfoil has been appended.

All the best!

Has any one drop passport at the Lagos VAC recently.

Omonoba1981:

I think he has settled for Lagos, however what is the process

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/nigeria/how_to_apply.html#temporary_documents

After checking the above link, seems I need more clarification,

- He did his application online

- And got passport request, and he plan to use his younger brother to help him drop the passport at Lekki.

- Does he have to pay and how is that done ( which part of the service fees should he pay )

- He also plan to use his brother to pick the passport when it gets back.

How does a student do medical upfront?

Flashing:

If you did upfront medical and passed, then ur application is 50/50. But if not upfront and no medical request..then its straight forward refusal.

I think the submission was done before May 25.

Triplezero50:

Sure. There's a tie breaker. If you didn't submit before May 25, 2019 at 14:40:52 UTC, you won't get an ITA.

I just came in over the weekend and tried calling peopleready. And its seems I will need a social security number.

How long does it take in getting social security number? And where in Ottawa

Austacus:

My own chip in
She should move to Ottawa or Toronto for summer ONLY to work. If she has any friends (that lives in an apartment) or family member that can accommodate her for the season

Work experience is very very important here.

Relocating to Toronto or Ottawa is highly crazy in terms of cost of living so I will advise her not to relocate.

Her resume should be in Canadian standard, her friends can help her with it, her school employment supports can also help her with it, indeed can also help her with it. But I would advise she should go through school employment supports or friends formats. She should also write a very good ready-made cover letter so whatever work she wants to apply for she would just do a little editing.

In Ottawa ”PeopleReady” employs every day And they have jobs that pay $22 per hr in this summer.

If she wants to come to Ottawa, she should call them and book an appointment with them. then she will be interviewed and write an exam. After the exam, they will congratulate her.

There are surplus jobs in Toronto, Ottawa and BC but the cost of living is maad.
