aolawale025:With this your stand no need for an election or opposition or democracy then at local level. It means they are just another batches of the extension of the governor office or ministry headed by hand picked yes sir commissioners. You didn't thought it out very well but preoccupied with theory of federalism. This is Nigeria. Wake up. The last past years of the sad face that befell local administration under governors grip should be more important to a patriotic Nigeria than any unrealistic federalism theory which in the long run will do this country more harm than good. We only need strong institutions and restructuring for equitable representation of independent units at State and local level ....that should be Nigeria needed federalism not another a concept in the context of another country situation. They thought out their own solution to their peculiar problem and give it a name. It must not necessarily be universal. #lets save Nigeria. |
A lot of people commenting here are getting the economics wrong! CBN current intervention of pumping dollars is necessary though not sufficient condition to save the naira from an imperfect market situation artificially created by greedy speculators. This It is not about sustainability. Nothing in life is perpetual - dynamics changes in the long run or even short. The present action or inaction is important for future outcome. The CBN is right intervening now rather than watch the funeral of the naira sustainability or no sustainability. We must move on to save the naira from copious speculators. How we sustain that might not arise. The speculators might be down and out by then. Let's think positive and act positive in Nigeria. Pessimism only fuel further speculations. Enough! |
oniconx:You can't have a rich man if a poor man doesn’t. exist. Yes u are rich because there exist poor man. |
oglalasioux:The essence of the he'll fire is to comprehend the enjoyment of paradise. You can't have paradise without a he'll sir. It is not possible in law of nature. A paradise exist because there's a he'll and vice versa. Remove one and the other cannot stand. |
The logical answer is that to have a CREATION there must be to both good and bad side. And science too supported this assertion, that to every force there must be an equal and opposite reaction. Note. Opposite. Newton theory I think. To have a sweet taste there must exist a sour taste to compare. Meaning that to have goodness there must necessarily be badness, otherwise goodness doesn’t exists or have a meaning . In summary the World cannot exist without good and evil. So trust God he knows what he is doing. I can only only hope this answers your question somehow. |
That man is headed for Nigeria presidency one day. Bet! |
Reading all the comments here I think a lot of people are making out they are more holy than the Pope... Lol. How many unknown source meats in burgers, hotdogs, hotel and conference foods, owanbe parties, etc these holy folks had consumed with passion! |
And the perpetrators will sleep and be happy thereafter? Human mind is worst and cruel than beast in capabilities. All for religion. Can you fight God s battle for him as a human being when the omnipotent is more than capable. Mistake. Mistake. |
And the perpetrators would be happy and at peace now? What a World we live in. |
Ben Bruce? Is it the same man that was DG Nta during Obasanjo/Stella regime and was unceremoniously removed from office. Wonder shall never end in Nigeria. senator! |
South Africans. Going by ur own historical persecutions, is this coming from u? |
Most people who proffess beliefs in God ,studies have shown do so reflextively. In certain circumstances their faith is shaken terribly. The Godly believe dont give a hoot there is God o in his or her immediate course of action Afterwards they would quickly fall back in line dogmatically because that is the right thing to do And then blame satan. Conclusion; almost everyone, strictly speaking, is guilty at one moment or the other of atheism. |
akoaki:. Good talk ! |
experimentist:. Do you read other people comment to get ur CLUE at all? Now who is clueless? You or the President? Loi. |
stinggy:. Nigeriams and President bashing! Mostly out of ignorance This is not a GEJ proposal or idea or something he might eventually support. Give dis man a break folks. The Natiomal Council onTransport is a conglomeration of all stakeholders in the transport sector including all state commissioners of transport Apc and Pdp states. The president is not even a member and here you are already bashing him as if it is his idea. God save us from ourselve.Nigeria would overcome.Amen |
Raiders:. Nope! if you have the money, spend it appropriately by touching the less previledge people lifes not spite them with lavishness and extravagance. The world would be better and safer place that way. For you and me. |
pheesayor:. True federalism also includes local govt( mind you not LCDA) autonomy. Otherwise No need for elected government at LG. |
The real powers of Governors lies in their absolute control of LGs. Remove this and you will see how empty the powers of governors are.. Governors use LG political appointments and administrative structures for cheap and undeserved political advantage to trample oppositions amd amass godfather advantage. That is why in all states and with all parties whenever you organise LG election it is landslide for rulin party and No way for opposition. The governors use LG resources rather than State own to showcase the governors own performance. You can see why they oppose LG autonomy. Nigerians during last constituency refrendum to amend the constitution voted in favor of LG autonomy.Ditto the last National Delegates Conference. But the governors forum cabals is bent on frustrating the popular desire. Nigerians enough of this selfish cabals. We must cry out for LG freedom lest our sufferings continue. Hit like and share for better tommorrow.Freedom from oppressors is never easy. |
emmyrichie: They should have killed em.Really? Pray one day you don't get what you wish others. Albeit mistakenly ! |
This post ask a question that ladies are best suited to provide answers to yet the majority of respondents are guys while the females mainly kept mute or just "observing'.Instead of "forming" or pretending as usual this is an opportunity to educate the other half. Defend or concur. Perhsps the menfolk would pick a thing or two. |
iamord: U talk about kano traditional architecture design. Exactly my point. Few. And north western should have joined the few by doing that. Proudly African. Not MidEast or Western themed architecture. No English,Arab,Othoman others would do that for us.They would rather help denegrade such African themed craftmanship and designs as primitive but would not mind adorning their palaces and mansions with such African primitivity especcially if made with gold and precious metals. Europe and Mideast is full of such stolen designs/items from Africans for which many of our grandparents lost their lives protecting ! |
abagoro: This is a picture taken during inspection of North-west University which is being constructed by Kwankwaso government in Kano. I particularly like the Turkish architecture. It gives an Instanbul feel. Kano meka!. Education project. kudos. But if I may ask why turkey or instabul feel? What is wrong in promoting Kano traditional architecture or Banube feel. Nigerians or Africans when would we stop prouding over foreign culture( western or eastern) and gleefully promote our own too in line with modernisation. That is our heritage. I would be joyous if that building is designed african with banube feel(not fulani, arabic or english). All said kudos to development. |
impromptu: I hope Ribadu will not end up as a pawn.. Guys let this man be. He is old and experienced enough to make his own decisions.People think they know him and what he will do. Now they should know better. Pundits should expect more suprises. He has just shown Godfada Tinubu and co he is nobody pawn. So who says he can't treat Jonathan likewise. Adamawa people might in the long run better for the RIBADU phenomenom ! |
kernel504: Am not a partisan person, but an irrelevant person can't be going for the post of national chairman of APC. He is a super weight politician, please, google "Ikimi birthday", you will see all Nigerian elite gathered to celebrate him. |
Jarchi: Asin, werin dem lecturers wan come ride den,jet bahAsin iu for say wetin their lecturer fit do to fail this lots! |
This is another classical example of RUMOUR believing without trying to verify trait of Nigerians. If you want to crucify somebody or paint white black in this country just fly the rumour appropriately and GBAM your enemy is getting bashed from everywhere and everyone especcially on social media. So much for a population ! |
waja: . Your mumu no get square root. U make salt enter my eyes by 2a.m and you are talking gibberish here. My recharge card finished and my closest rival (Dangote) has enriched His purse. In fact thunder go fire your yansh.Na you mumu pass. Walahi. The girl who started the prank is a genius.
