That is not true at all. Nigeria will divide when we gain the support of the most strategic countries of the world.
You guys will be hiding under your bed the day Biafra will be given UN support. That day, you will be with aboki for ever because that is what you have always wanted.
So, keep waiting for us to come seek your opinion. lol

@OP,
I believe that sane Igbo folks here: Bandit_C, Afam4eva, Logic_mind, Chyz, Phreakabit and Ifyalways have all covered all the issues involved here. This is part of why I caution Igbo girls against marrying outside the EASTERN NIGERIA and ANIOMA. Just be ready for ANYTHING. I would marry a white lady from far away Sweden first before I can touch some Nigerian tribes in marriage. Sad but true. This husband is a diehard tribalist. Nuff said.

It occured to me recently that YOU are one of the Nigerian "intelligence" agents on this forum - probably SSS cool cool cool
hehe! you just found out? lol
He has no credibility though, because he is SECTIONAL (a diehard Northern chauvinist) in all his posts here. So, other intelligence agents from other parts of Nigeria will not work with him. As he is tracking southerners, others from the south will be tracking him too. lol
These intelligence officers are people like you and I. They know the truth about Nigeria, and when time comes, everybody will answer his fathers name. cool

Now is the time to start dragging some war criminals from Nigeria to that court. cool

Nigerian Eboe-Osuji, 4 others sworn in as judges of ICC in The Hague

New York - A Nigerian, Chile Eboe-Osuji, was among five new judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) sworn in at a ceremony held at the seat of the Court in The Hague.

The other judges were Howard Morrison (UK), Anthony T. Carmona (Trinidad and Tobago), Olga Herrera Carbuccia (Dominican Republic) and Robert Fremr (Czech Republic).

They were elected at the latest session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute (ASP) in December, 2011, for nine-year terms.

Speaking in New York shortly after the swearing-in ceremony, Eboe-Osuji thanked Nigerians for the wonderful support they gave him.

“No one succeeds into international positions such as this without strong support from his or her government.

“And I did receive extremely strong support from the president, the Federal Minister of Justice and the minister of Foreign Affairs and the permanent secretaries and senior functionaries in those ministries.

“I particularly thank our ambassador at the UN in New York, our ambassador to the Netherlands and our ambassador in Switzerland, as well as their colleagues in Addis Ababa, Stockholm and other parts of the world.

“Without the strong support I received from them and the diplomats in their missions, this would not have been possible. I thank them all,’’ the judge said.

Eboe-Osuji and Morrison Howard of the UK were elected during the final rounds of the ICC election at the UN headquarters in New York.

Eboe-Osuji recorded 102 votes, while Howard recorded 72 votes out of the 117 votes to meet the two-third required majority before a candidate could be adjudged elected as a judge in the ICC.

He had served as Legal Advisor to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva.

Also he worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), where he served as Principal Legal Adviser to the Chambers between 2008 and 2009.

Eboe-Osuji was also a Senior Appeals Counsel at the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL) and a Senior Legal Officer in the Office of the Prosecutor at the ICTR.

There he worked on the case of Bagosora, Nsengiyumva, Kabiligi and Ntabakuze, and the Semanza case.

He taught International Criminal Law at the University Of Ottawa Faculty Of Law in Ontario, Canada and had also appeared in several civil, constitutional and criminal cases at all levels of court in Canada, as a barrister. (NAN)

Uche2005:
how this did happen.
It happened during military rule. Such things can only happen during dictatorships. If I were Jonathan, I would declare martial law, sack the national assembly and rule by decree for the rest of my term until all these thefts are corrected.
The North now believe in democracy because they have completed all their schemes during military rule. undecided

This is part of why I sometimes get very angry when I see some people chanting "Niger delta" and "SS".
See how the North cornered 80% of oil blocks and still complaining about derivation. Would that have happened if we had one eastern block? HELL NO of course. cool
This bazaar can go on forever, depending on how our brothers to the south use their heads going forward.

"Interesting thread. I am Nigerian. Live in Nigeria. Love it! Visited 11 countries in almost all continents. Worked in 3 countries (including SA) deploying technology on behalf of my global energy company (180 countries bro). Citizens of the world commit crime and also do good things wherever they find themselves. Most South Africans dont know this cos they're very simple and local. Please travel some. Why do South African women marry Nigerian men? Ask them why,  hope your ego survives the answer. There are 400 SA companies here in naija. We also have several small and medium scale Nigerian companies in SA. We support the SA medical system with skilled and experienced doctors. Is SA a beautiful country? Yes. Would I live there? NO. Nigeria is also very beautiful and has limitless opportunities with the biggest market in Africa. Can Nigeria survive MTN and co leaving? They only got here yesterday. Will nationalize them in a minute. We did well without them and would continue to do so. We also have home grown Telcos (Glo, etc.) giving MTN a run for their money and also operating in other West African countries. Do we care if all Naijas in SA are deported? We are 160 million people. 4 in 10 black men is Nigerian. Who cares about illegal immigrants? Will Nigerians retaliate if even the illegals in SA are mistreated rather than being repatriated properly, if needed? Ask your government. They know. Can Nigeria go toe to toe with SA diplomatically? Ask Britain. We recently halted BA flights for messing with Arik airlines, and we kicked out the British and Nationalized BP in the 70s because of your sorry Black asses being enslaved by the Europeans. We need no favors from SA. We are no beggars - ask your women. We will survive and thrive anywhere - ask your women again. We are very loyal and proud,  and SA is too inexperienced globally to mess with us. Our President is a PhD, while yours takes a bath and eats beetroot to prevent AIDS. BTW, after reading this comment, scoot to the front page of The Sowetan and see the abuses, murder, corruption, paedophilic and gerontophilic abuses being reported, were those also committed by Nigerians? Always looking for someone to blame are you? We are not Zimbabweans or any other panhandling SADAC folk. We will hit back where we can. A Nigerian did not become the richest African through BBE or apartheid era stolen lucre. Watch and learn fuckas".
It is always refreshing to read from someone with concrete information.
I suspect the bolded, which is why I stated that there is no way South can win Nigeria if both countries decided to go the whole nine yards in diplomatic tussle.
Nuff said.  cool
PoliticsRe: Don’t Drag Us Into Break-up Debate, Kogi, Kwara Leaders Tell North by Onlytruth(m): 6:24pm On Mar 10, 2012
sholasys:
PLS READ AND CONTRIBUTE

The controversy stirred by Dr. Junaid Mohammed on possible break up of Nigeria is yet to die down. Leaders of Kogi and Kwara, two Middle Belt states the Second Republic legislator threatened to drag along with the North have reacted. Group Political Editor BOLADE OMONIJO, EMMANUEL OLADESU and ADEKUNLE JIMOH present their angry responses:

THE political and social elite of Kogi and Kwara states are angry that a section of the North is threatening to hold them as bargain in the event that Nigeria disintegrates. Perhaps taking a cue from Karl Meier’s contention that “this house has fallen” and the foreign prediction that the country can only last a few years given the current sociological pressure, Junaid Mohammed told a Sunday newspaper that the North was not afraid of a break up. He, however, added that this would only be allowed if Kogi and Kwara states were ceded to the North.

But, furious at the sheer thought, David Jemibewon, a retired Major General, fired three questions in one minute: “On whose mandate is he talking? Whose interest is he representing? Who authorised him?”

Jemibewon, a founding member and leader of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hails from Kogi State. He found it insulting that Mohammed could conceivably be speaking for the people of Kogi and Kwara states.

The former military governor of the defunct Western State who reacted on the phone, said Mohammed lacked the mandate of his people in Kogi to speak on such a sensitive issue.

He added: “If it’s his personal view, which I cannot query, there is no problem. But if he claims to be speaking on behalf of the North, who gave him the mandate?

“I don’t think he represents my interest until he gets my mandate. If he has been authorised, I don’t have the right to query him. But who authorised him?”

Jemibewon was too angry to continue with the interview. But Rotimi Obadofin, another Kogi politician would not want to contemplate such a development. He said Mohammed was wallowing in self-deception and self-delusion, pointing out that the two states would not go with the North, if there is a break-up.

Onlytruth, mba. Ojukwu and Buhari got along very well and both remain my Heroes.
You have things mixed up. I never said they were not friends or political associates.
I said they were not MILITARY CONTEMPORARIES -meaning military peers.
Ojukwu's near military contemporary in Nigeria would be Gowon.
Buhari was a lieutenant when Ojukwu was a lieutenant colonel in 1966. From lieutenant, you have to move first to captain, then major, before getting to lieutenant colonel. Military is strict with ranking.
That is why IBB still call OBJ his boss. Gerrit now?
PoliticsRe: Bakare, El-rufai Storm Nnewi For Ojukwu by Onlytruth(m): 6:53am On Mar 10, 2012
Ojukwu and Buhari were not military contemporaries. Ojukwu was at least three ranks ahead of Buhari.
Let's stay with facts.

It is a no win situation because like I said, I can count at least TWO Awo crimes against Ndigbo. You cannot count even ONE Ojukwu crime againt Yoruba.

Anyway, I'm out once more.  cool
PoliticsRe: For Ojukwu, I Wished I Were Born Igbo – By Femi Fani-kayode by Onlytruth(m): 5:47pm On Mar 09, 2012
I just finished reading through the thread and concluded that some of my brothers (and some Yorubas obviously) misunderstoond my position on this almost completely. I did not want to respond to the Eko-Ile types, so I simply ignored them.  cool

Go back again to my FIRST response on this thread; basically this is what I said:

"You are welcome bro Fani Kayode. You are my brother in Ojukwu."

I never said Kayode is now to be given Igbo vote or political coin. None of that. I choose my word very carefuly.
I was only saying (in simple terms) that his words are true, and that (whether he means them or not) his lionizing of Ojukwu as a hero IS WELCOME.  cool Nothing more, nothing less.
Anybody who lionizes Ojukwu in public will get my appreciation. It is when he comes for my votes or political capital that I shall sit him down to examine his records.

The funny thing is that it is these people talking about Igbo being too easy to deceive that are actually the easiest ones to deceive.
They somehow can't discern true Igbo thoughts on issues just by following our statements; and when we make our moves, they become befuddled, confused and angry, just like when we gave GEJ the unprecedented support. They still don't understand why we did it, and often make the mistake of thinking we voted because he attached "Ebele" to his name. Fact is we really didn't. It is much deeper than that.  Just watch, the Nigerian political game is gradually shifting to our corner, and nobody can do anything about it.  cool

BTW I asked a question earlier, which was re-echoed by my brother Sam_Ikenna;

WHAT DID OJUKWU DO WRONG TO ANY YORUBA PERSON TO ATTRACT HATE?  huh

I'm still waiting for the answer.  cool

Once more, YOU ARE WELCOME bro Fani Kayode! cool
You are my brother in Ojukwu! cool cool

Signing off,
