@Marcdunu and koruji I'm enjoying your arguments about Jonathan's Nigerian constitutional rights and the PDP constitution. What I don't know is whether the right to contest elections is a FUNDAMENTAL human right according to the Nigerian constitution. From the much I know, a criminal cannot contest for elections in Nigeria, but has a FUNDAMENTAL right to a fair trial in courts. Therefore if the right to contest elections is a FUNDAMENTAL human right, then the PDP constitution is VOID to the extent of its "deviation" from, or inconsistency with the grand law -the Nigerian constitution. If on the other hand it is not a FUNDAMENTAL right, then the PDP constitution could enjoy a strong legal position in court. |
babapupa:The ultimate coward is the one that committed suicide even before they came to catch him for theft -your papa Awo! ![]() |
babapupa:You keep throwing around words you hardly understand. Step back and take another look. This thread is IGBO focused. Since you are an avowed Igbo hater, why are you here, if you are not suffering from the worst case of paranoid schizophrenia? ![]() What are you afraid of? ![]() Na fear go kill una for dat naija. You come see wetin okoroman de plan lol. Coward. |
lol. This thread is still alive and Jason-just-come is still pursuing it! ![]() Followed closely by his sidekick alj majiri lol! ![]() |
babapupa:ehh? ![]() Eziokwu? ![]() I thought it must be MY business, just like Igbo is YOUR business? Nna na wa o for this Yoruba dude. ![]() |
Two caveats: 1- The company must fund it and recoup their investments over many years. 2- There must be an INDEPENDENT inspector to be sure of the standards. If the two are in place, then let's roll full steam!( i mean electric) ![]() |
^^ Yea, just like your papa Awo committed suicide for fear of IBB's jail. ![]() |
My message to Ndigbo: We are a very special people in Nigeria, Africa and the world. We have done a lot to advance the pride of Nigeria, Africa and the human race. There is no need recounting what we have done since 1960 to bring accolade to Nigeria. The records are there. The most important thing is to remember how we did it to enable us replicate it over and over again in the future. If you ask me, I would say that the following are the greatest attributes of Ndigbo and what propels us ahead of our detractors and competitors. I can say these things because I am confident that no one can beat us in them if we NEVER forget them: (1)Discipline : Igbo man and woman has a STRONG sense of mission and deploy the discipline required to accomplish that mission. While others are busy having 5 children by 5 women, we stick to one woman and her kids! Great attribute. ![]() (2)Grit: We can be gritty when necessary to achieve a goal. HARDWORK folks! (3) Long suffering: This is perhaps our greatest behavioral asset. It is a dying asset though because we have parents these days who spoil their kids thinking they are doing them a favor. Through painstaking HARDWORK, people like Chinua Achebe, Chike Obi, Phillip Emeagwali ETC achieved what others could not. Don't let anyone tell you there is a short cut. THERE IS NONE. (4) Focus:We are not easily distracted from our set goal. That is why we are still alive and beating others today. Never imbibe strange cultures that undermine this attribute! (5) Courage: Please folks go and read the Bible, book of Joshua Chapter 1 from verse 6 to 7. We have always been courageous to embark on ventures and live in hostile areas. We must continue that way. If we continue to do these things, our future in Nigeria and the world is secure. Finally, do not allow others to define you! Like they have worked so hard to re-define Phillip Emeagwali. It is naive to think that you would not be affected by these definitions. If you don't want to counter these views, don't try to justify your choice of action. It is my idea of selfishness that will eventually catch up with you. All for one, one for all! Ndewo nu! Signed, Ikenga dike 1 of Nnewi. ![]() |
jason12345:Agreed. He is Mr Wiseman and I am Mr Goat! Happy now? ![]() Just leave this thread if you are not being a pathetic hypocrite. |
alj harem:Just stay away from this thread. It has nothing to do with you. You are here because you want to define Igbo character to the whole world. Just leave this thread if you want to respect Ndigbo. |
alj harem:We are Nigerians. It stops there. If you and your brothers are sincere about Nigeria 98% of Nigeria's problem would not have arisen in the first place. So go spend your time defining what it means to be Nigerian, 'cos most Igbo don't know. ![]() |
Omenani:This is where you are making a mistake. If we are in an enclosure where there are only Igbos discussing, then your approach would make sense. Dude, if you don't counter these things, it will become YOU and define YOU whether you like it or not, because a lot of people read these things. Others would even believe it more when they see your type spending so much time to focus on the so called Igbo faults while keeping a stoic silence on others' opinion of us. Ogbara nkiti kwere ekwe! Take a cue from other Igbo sons here. You are not more reasonable than them. In fact if you are more reasonable than all of us, then something is wrong with you. |
alj harem:Did you read the topic of this thread? It has NOTHING to do with you. Just move over and allow Igbos to talk. I even suspect that most Igbos won't talk here because they believe in individual change thing. This thread is even irrelevant. I just decided to comment to set the perspective and counter some of the invaders of this thread like you.So, what are you doing here? ![]() |
alj harem:YOU AND I HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON! Yes, you stole some of our sisters (some as young as 13 years old) after the war. That's it. If you say we must relate by blood, then be ready to shed yours. |
alj harem:Yea, YOUR BLOOD! hahaha hehehe! ![]() rolling on da flo! ![]() |
jason12345:Exactly, AFTER YOUR EXIT! ![]() |
alj harem:Aboki you are NOT MY BROTHER. There is NO WAY you are my brother, yet gloating over "wiping me out". Goat! |
alj harem:@Omenani Ngwa answer this goat ! If you spend some time to look at enemies of ndigbo, you may actually be thinking. The way you are going about on nairaland is even anti-Igbo. Ogbara nkiti kwere ekwe! ![]() |
alj harem:Aboki goat you have been too long in the savana chewing grass that you missed the history of things in Nigeria. Nobody tolerates us anywhere in Nigeria. We simply DEY there. ![]() We DEY North too. So stop the bullcrap about "tolerating Igbo". We are Nigerians, thanks to you not-so-smart person. We are the ones tolerating your backward a55. Now go back to the grass. ![]() |
Omenani:You mean it is ok to accept their branding of Ndigbo? Dude what is wrong with you? How long do you think it takes before brands start to stick? If you don't understand it, why not just clear from the road? ![]() |
^^ Here, you are Aboki's wife. FACT. ![]() |
alj harem:You mean like you have been discrediting your thieving Northern brothers who stole Nigeria blind for 38 years? ![]() You mean like he has discredited his Yoruba brother OBJ who stole us blind? Or his Fashola who is currently stealing Lagos blind together with Tinubu? or like he attacked his gbomo gbomo brothers who hack off limbs and private parts for money juju? ![]() Or like you attacked your brothers for breeding 10 million almajiris in northern Nigeria? ![]() You and your "wife" sound ridiculous. ![]() |
alj harem:Is this English? ![]() |
babapupa:Sharap dia you tribal marked goat! ![]() Who invited you to this thread? Why not go clean up the sh'1t in your backyard before sh!tt!ing on yourself because of Igbo problems. |
I have already argued that the revival of Igbo world depends on what we do as individuals. Before I criticize another Igbo person, I always search myself to be sure that I'm not guilty of the same fault. The revolution begins with me! ![]() |
Jarus: Eziachi:I thought of the same thing too, except that this PDP primary will NOT be free and fair and will NOT be secret. Even if it is secret, it will be rigged by the party for Jonathan. So, either way, I don't see how Atiku wins. It will be strong arm politics at the PDP level (thanks to OBJ). At the national elections level, it will be more difficult to rig. However, at the national elections proper, Jonathan has the power to lobby more than any candidate. The only thing that jumped out for me by this Atiku choice is that Atiku will accept defeat easier than IBB or even Gusau. The north doesn't want to rock the boat. They want to live to fight another day. My 2 cents. |
I have to say this; I could be wrong but we shalll see. I strongly speculate that the north has beaten a quiet retreat. They have quietly conceded the election because they know that they can't win against a sitting Nigerian president. Why do I say this? I say this because Atiku is the more likely to accept a defeat than IBB. He has lost before and will not be "bowled over" by another loss. The north wants to tone this thing down and live to fight another day. Smart move if you ask me. ![]() That is why I am smiling! ![]() |
So it is settled now. IBB will not contest under PDP. Atiku will. Interesting. . . |
Consensus: IBB accepts Atiku’s candidacy By NDUBUISI ORJI Tuesday, November 23, 2010 Former Military President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, General Ibrahim Babangida, yesterday said he accepted the choice of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar , as the North’s candidate for the PDP presidential primary. This was contained in a statement issued by the IBB Presidential Campaign Organization, signed by the Director-General, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, and made available to Daily Sun in Lagos. Babangida said the outcome of the consensus candidacy which was spearheaded by former Finance Minister, Adamu Ciroma, and other Northern leaders must be applauded for the foresight and rigour of the search. According to him, the Ciroma committee must be appreciated for its principled commitment to the advancement of democracy in country. “The outcome of the consensus exercise which the Adamu Ciroma Committee selflessly imposed upon itself in the past two months must be loudly applauded for the rigour of their search, conduct, and foresight. The machinery of success which they inaugurated previously has become further strengthened and deeply rooted. It shall be well with the Consensus outcome, and it shall manifestly be well for all Nigerians.” “The Committee inaugurated a process to tackle a challenge the result of which will outlive the politically induced crisis which called the committee into existence. The outcome of the consensus exercise has truly humbled all the presidential aspirants. We once again, thank everyone of the membership of this committee. We all know the gravity of what the aspirants have done. We know that in doing what they have done, this great nation and all Nigerians shall manifestly be served. They did not submit themselves to this exercise so as to fail, far from it.” “The exercise to search for, find and approve a Consensus Candidate from among the Presidential aspirants in the constitutional zone of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) must go down in the annals of this great nation as historic and uniquely interesting. Founded upon a principled commitment for the public good, justice, equity and fairness in the pursuit of good governance and party politics, the ‘Committee of Wise Men’ under the leadership of Alhaji Adamu Ciroma must be appreciated for its patriotism and the advancement of the frontiers of democracy and of politics with conscience,” the statement said in part. While congratulating Atiku for his emergence, Babangida expressed appreciation to former National Security Adviser, General Mohammed Aliyu Gusau and Kwara State governor, Dr Bukola Saraki for submitting their political ambition to the dictates of the consensus committee. Besides, he thanked members of the Ciroma Committee for their personal and collective sacrifices towards the selection of a consensus candidate for the North. The former military president stated there is a fundamental lesson from the Ciroma committee which Nigerians would appreciate with time. “Democracy can only be sustained and flourish under the principles of justice, rule of law, equity, and determination, particularly on the part of leadership to respect, adhere and advance the framework of upholding the constitution not only of the country, but also of various institutions such as the constitution of the Peoples’ Democratic Party,” he added http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2010/nov/23/national-23-11-2010-008.htm |
