I know you didn't know that Abiola sponsored most of the coups of the 80s. Yes he did!

He sponsored the coup that toppled Shagari and crew in 1983. He was IBB's bosom friend and they ruled Nigeria together. He even rigged the first elections won by Shehu Musa Yar adua (our dead president's brother) in 1991. That election was canceled, sponsored by Abiola!
So, when he won, other Nigerians laid ambush for him and canceled it too.
