yommyuk:there is a name you will call a bullet and it will turn into water ![]() Ha! Chineke le! There is nothing I no go see for this nairaland. Chei! So that's how your Oba Kosoko stopped the British in Lagos abi? As if Igboman na British! We're all Africans my friend! Try another one!! ![]() |
yommyuk:I guess you missed my point, but I can break it down more( I don't want to call you names yet) . YOU ARE NOT CONTROLLING THE CREEKS OR EASTERN ACCESS TO THE SEA. The guys above are. This is NOT 1967 my friend. Welcome to the 21st century. You might not even get to keep Lagos because you have about 4 milion Igbos there to fight. A whole lot has changed since 1967. So watch out my friend, the starvation weapon might actually be used against you this time. ![]() |
yommyuk:You will be starving soon when these guys achieve their own agenda. Don't worry about Igbo people. They survive in all conditions! These guys will soon shove one of those rockets up your stinking tribal marked ass!

Nigerians must first change! Must see evil for what it is, even if your arch enemy is on the receiving end of it. That is the responsibility Nigerians must accept for change to be possible. Anything outside of that is mere hope. Nigeria's biggest enemy is the wickedness of her people. Until I see such attitudinal change in Nigerians, I doubt there is a nation. "Hope is not a strategy" -Kevin Madden |
sjeezy8:Thanks again. Good deduction! The international community now knows which tribes have been ruining Nigeria. They'd understand why any rational human will want out. Like I said in another thread, the Igbo don't need to do anything. The future is ours, head or tail! |
Kobojunkie:Look, whenever I see someone use blanket terms like "VICTIM CARD" I suspect perfidy. Who is the victim now? Igbos? No my friend. The victim now is the WHOLE OF NIGERIA. When you tolerated unwholesome violence against "fellow Nigerians" in 1967, it became a down paying for all subsequent violence, including the one that is threatening Nigeria today. I observed the last governorship election in Ekiti. The peoples choice did not win. The people went out to demonstrate but were "discouraged" by an overwhelming force of police and soldiers. Everyone saw the hand writing on the wall and simply went home. |
Kobojunkie:I strongly disagree with the bolded words. You are urging Nigerians to go out and be shot! They won't and they shouldn't! The seed was sowed in 1967. Everyone who tried to change Nigeria ever since have been brutally murdered, including powerful people. So how can a hapless Nigerian face a "shoot at sight" police and army? However, there is a way, the only way. And that is for Nigerians to repent of their wickedness and stop tolerating genocide and shoot at sights. Stop celebrating the murder of 2 million Igbos and really repent and be ashamed. Not only that, arrest, try and imprison anyone in authority who orders shoot at sights. Disband the police (if they cannot learn the art of civil policing). The list goes on. But the question is, will the wickedness of Nigerians allow them to even see this point? ![]() |
invisible!:We have tried Nigeria for nearly 50 years and we have seen the outcome. Let us try Biafra ( even if its only Igboland) for 10 years for a change. If Biafra fails within 10 years, then force us back. I assure you it won't fail! What I saw Ngige do in Anambra state in 2 and half years convinces me we can build a developed country in 10 years. We don't need 50 years! “Those who say it can't be done are usually interrupted by others doing it.” -James Baldwin |
Magnify that with if the funds are only sourced locally and not from some Federal allocation. Then let us see the day any human will get away with such theft in Igboland! |
ChinenyeN:Yes! That is really the gist of it. Let me see how a thief can go to his village after stealing. I remember how some Igbo politicians were nearly attacked by an angry mob during the Igbo day celebration some few years back. Without Federal protection, I dare anyone to try stealing our money! |
ezeagu:Certainly not the way Nigeria has been tackling it. This is how Nigeria tackles it: Party affiliation (PDP must rule for 60 years, thieves are used for election rigging), sacred cows (which ensure Ribadu got kicked out and was humiliated), Sectional supremacy (which ensures that some of the biggest thieves are out of jail). One thing that I know is that the Igboman's sense of outrage will never allow such grand theft to happen in Igboland. Some of the thieving Governors we have now were never voted by us and were imposed. Even upon that, I can tell you that Enugu, Anambra and Imo (60% of Igbo governors) are doing well. Just allow us first to elect our leader, then watch! I really challenge this to happen. So for now, all I can tell you is that Igbo have a strong sense of right and wrong, plus that we have a republican population that is not led by the nose. A population that will challenge corruption if the thief is not enjoying Federal protection. I took time to explain this (and I'm by no means exhaustive) because some Igbo truly feel like you do. |
invisible!:I wonder how much time you need. Another 50 years? India and Israel became independent in 1948. By 1988 (after 40 years) both countries have been producing their own space rockets and other high tech equipments. In 2009 (nearly 50 years after independence) Nigeria can't even generate beyond 2000 Megawatts for a population of 140 million people. Nobody even talks of high tech equipments, lets talk of low tech ones! We cannot produce any. All we do is sell oil (which are extracted by foreign companies) and then export it. We can't even refine it again, something Biafra did under war conditions. Something Nigeria used to do. We then import EVERYTHING ELSE including petrol! Nigeria can't even provide security, something a simple local police do efficiently elsewhere. I have decided to respond to you because I've seen you are determined to deceive people here. Nobody is transferring anything anywhere. Show me ONE THING that works in Nigeria and I will show you 20 that doesn't work; things that will NEVER work because people are busy lying to themselves and other people. |
Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Ukraine, Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), Taiwan, and much much more. These countries are far more stable than their previous unions. |
jumobi1:The smartest observation so far on this thread! |
invisible!: ![]() I don't know how much you know about Igboland but I suspect the Nigerian government knows. They wouldn't even conduct a census identifying Nigerians by their tribe. I'm waiting for the day they stop being afraid of Biafra and conduct a real census. In the US every demographic information about a person is known. Because of perfidy, it can't happen in Nigeria. I don't even want to go into conducting a fair opinion poll about Biafra. Frame the question anyway you want, Ndigbo will support Biafra (even if they end up in it alone). Like I said before, these can change, but it all depends on Nigeria. Igbo are a highly dynamic people. They don't want to be held back by anybody. We don't have security and all civilized policing are local. But in Nigeria it is central (another product of Biafra fear). We don't have electricity, and local generating and distributing is more efficient. Not in Nigeria. Every generated wattage must be channeled to the national grid. I cannot get an international airport in the east, guess why? Of course another fear of Biafra. Meanwhile I have to fly into Lagos or Abuja and then risk the local "air molues" to Enugu. Or worse, risk armed robbers along Lagos -Ore -Benin road to get to the east. I can go on. And you believe Ndigbo are happy and will wait for eternity to secure a decent future. Keep on dreaming. |
Truly captures Nigeria AS IS! You notice that Bolaji still won't stomach a "Biafra" even if only 5 core Igbo states create it, or even if there is no hope in Nigeria. Truly thought provoking! Its like "I want to stay here and suffer and I won't let you escape!" |
samparian:You are right. I came to this site a "Nigerian", but I can assure you now that I'm BY FAR a Biafran. Nothing helps build a country like information and communication. In fact I would recommend this site to all Nigerians because they need to see how vast and far apart their opinions of nationhood differ, and I bet you, that is how it is in Nigeria (though unspoken). There are people here who believe with all their hearts, that it is normal to support shoot at sights, genocide and all things repulsive to the sensibilities of a decent human being. Yet (as long as they are not on the receiving end), they swear they are your compatriots! |
Bialegend: !!! |
babapupa:what I find interesting in the 2009 failed state list of 60 countries of which Nigeria occupies a 15th position (ie 15th worst failed state) is the "Grievances index". This is the most important index of them all, and is the primary course of other things which negatively impacts a nations chance for peace and progress. Nigeria score a 9.7. All other nations which rank 9.7 and above are all at war internally (ie civil war): Somalia 9.7 Sudan 9.9 Chad 9.8 Iraq 9.7 Sri lanka 9.8 Nigeria, is the only nation which is not in a state of civil war. http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2009/06/22/2009_failed_states_index_interactive_map_and_rankings Isn't it cheaper to find out how we can reduce this grievance index, rather than pretend that all is well? But how can that happen when you have people actively defending the lies Na wa o! |
can I borrow your logo? Its kinda cute ![]() |
asha 80:Yes you are right. I remember a story from January 1966 after the first coup. A certain man refused to move to the east after the first wave of massacre in Kano. He was telling his friends who were eagerly moving, "Onye nwulu o je be" (his onitsha dialect) translated- man die go! His real reason though was that one of his closest friends was a powerful Alhaji in Kano. And so it happened that when the second wave of killings began, he ran to the Alhaji's house. The Alhaji hid him inside his wives quarters. They were friends! But then came the fateful hour. It happened that someone had seen him run into the Alhaji's house and went to inform the raging mob. When the mob arrived, they asked the Alhaji to produce the "Nyamiri" inside his house and threatened to kill him and burn down his house if he delayed. Well, the Alhaji went inside and dragged his "friend" out and explained to him that he had no choice. The man was taken outside the city and stoned to death. There are many similar stories all over the north and western Nigeria then. I really pity any Igbo with aloof parents in Igboland or elsewhere. History is a powerful thing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It may save your life! |
