The meeting held today 25th January 2021
Following the Executive Order of the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwaratim Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, to the Fulani Herdsmen illegaly occupying the State Forest Reserves to vacate within seven days With effect from Monday 18" January, 2021, the Nigeria Governors' Forum led by its Chairman, Dr. Kayode Fayemi met with the leadership of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), security agencies and other stakeholders on 25th January, 2021 at the International Centre for Culture and Events (DOME), Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State to find lasting solutions to the incessant killings, kidnapping and crises between herdsmen and farmers in the Southwest geo-political zone of the country.

Meeting discussed vigorously and resolved that:

The security and welfare of the people of Nigeria is the primary purpose of Government as enshrined in the 1999 constitution of N igeria as amended.

The stakeholders are committed to the unity and indivisibility of Nigeria.

Insecurity is a national challenge and not peculiar to any tribe or region but must be addressed by the cooperation of all.

The order of the Ondo State Governor was misconstrued and misrepresented by a section of the media. He only ordered those occupying the Forest Reserves in Ondo State illegally to quit.

Criminals should be apprehended and punished, no matter their origin, class or status.

Security agencies have been trying to stem the tide of criminality in the country but must step up their efforts in the fight.

There is the need to build partnership for peace and security with MACBAN and jointly wage war against criminality.

No one had sent anyone away from any state or region but all hands must be on deck to fight criminality.

MACBAN is a peace loving, law abiding organization which does not habour or condone criminals and agreed that:

(i) Night grazing should be banned henceforth

(ii) Under age herding is Inimical to security and hence be banned

(iii) Occupation of State Forest Reserves illegally is condemned.

MACBAN also suffers insecurity and kidnapping and thus desire peaceful coexistence.

MACBAN is ready for any peaceful move by the states to engender security.

Fake news is another issue that makes our security worse than solving it.

There must be an enduring framework with MACBAN in a way that will help address security issues.

That free range grazing must be stopped to avoid conflicts between the farmers and the herders

Strengthening an alternative security arrangements and make them complementary to the mainstream security agencies in Nigeria.

MACBAN should embrace and be committed to modern breeding process by creating grazing reserves and practice ranching to prevent cattle roaming about.

Standing Committee comprising of farmers, MACBAN and the Government should be set up in each state (where they don't exist) to ensure synergy and result.

We must create economic opportunities for our people and reduce opportunities for criminalities in our country

I woke up this morning with the pains caused by our leadership
Imagine leaders who can not take their time to do the right thing for their people.
As rich as they claim they are still stealing from the poor massively.
Think about the POWER sector, we pay bills without adequate supply.The prepaid meters are in short supply, and no one is calling anyone to order-PADDY PADDY GOVT.
The citizens are abandoned to face whatever decisions the powerful NEPA LORDS make.
What a place? It certainly means that the crazy deductions they make are all that matter. The masses get poorer, and their worlds get worse.



The law and the law enforcement agencies exist not for the oppressed, but for the oppressor.
The oppressors' children are in other countries enjoying the money their parents extorted from the poor. They will lock you up in jail if you ask for your right. God forbid this leaders!

It became worst with a government in place which cannot take care of the citizens and which forbids to do the right thing.
And if any opposition party stand to do the right thing they will kill that person or group, frustrating their political career with lies and frame up.
Please at this time let all of us say NO to all of them. It is even a big shame to see that the so called APC government who kept us in this present condition are still preaching to their oppressed to join and vote them inn again as the best. So annoying to see or hear them talking of APC.
Let all of us stop being used, let's tell them that we have stopped being fools.


Let no one be deceived by their lies because they will lie until they die. Let no one be carried away by their bribe because they are masters of bribery.
The aim of their manipulations is to push themselves in again in order to accomplish the remaining wickedness.

NEW YEAR EVE: POLICE ARREST TRAFFIC ROBBERS, RECOVER WEAPONS

The Lagos State Police Command has again exhibited its zero tolerance for crimes and criminality, particularly, traffic robbery within Lagos State as its operarives attached to Ketu Division arrested (9) suspected traffic robbers on Thursday, 31st December, 2020, at about 8pm along Y-Junction, by Old Tollgate, Ketu, Lagos State.

The suspects had attacked one Mr Adejare Adetayo and wife in the traffic at the area when police detectives on undercover operation along the area went after the hoodlums and arrested nine (9) with their operational weapons.

The suspected traffic robbers are (1) OLUSEYI AFOLABI 'M' 19YRS, (2) ADEYEMO AYOMIDE 'M' 18YRS (3) FRANCIS LATIFA 19YRS, (4)RILWAN RAJI 23YRS, (5) AYOMIDE OYEDIRAN 20YRS, (6) RASHEED IBRAHIM 22YRS, (7) HAMZAT ABDULLAHI 19YRS, ( MUSA GBADAMOSI 20YRS AND (9) SEUN LASISI 32YRS. Two (2) long knives and other dangerous weapons were recovered from them.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, while commending the police operarives for the successful operation and arrest of the hoodlums, reassured Lagosians of adequate security and public safety within the length and breadth of the state. He however directed that the suspects be transferred to State CID, Panti, Yaba, for proper investigation.

In the same vein, in the spirit of the season, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Olusegun Odumosu felicitates with Lagosians, officers and men of the command, stakeholders in the security sector and sister security agencies on the new year celebration. He also admonishes Lagosians to embrace peace and obey all laws of the land as the police and other security agencies in the state are ever ready to discharge their duties effectively.

Princess Agbonifo specifically described him as a man of integrity and a man with a large heart far charity, hailing him and indeed, all their efforts targetted at achieving a paradigm shift in leadership of Nigeria so as to herald a new dawn that will usher in the new Nigeria Long longed for.


Talking about the present Nigerian leadership, Agbonifo emphasised with pain that everything has gone haywire from top to the base, creating an atmosphere so vicious and unsupportive of living and businesses.


She therefore blamed the successive leaderships for consciously allowing things to go from bad to worse, until Nigeria has become a circle of doom.
Agbonifo Proceeded that the task to rebuild Nigeria is everybody's responsibility, but that the political will for such changes must be made available by the present leaders in the face of the rising insecurity and hardship confronting Nigerians.


Ending, she said, that the issue of instituting true federalism for a holistic socio - economic development of Nigeria is sacrosanct and non negotiable, thus that no one person or group should work against any process that could bring it to fruition; now that Nigeria is at a swim or sink era; warning that if the government fails to address the fundamental questions raised during the EndSARS Protest staged by the Nigerian Youth, then, a big palava awaits the nation in the shortest time to come.

TOUCH OF LOVE OUTREACH PARTNERS WITH BE INSPIRED NIGERIA TO EMPOWER AND CELEBRATE DESTITUTES AT XMAS.

A Non Governmental Organization, Touch of Love outreach has collaborated with a foremost humanitarian and developmental Organization, Be Inspired Nigeria, to show love to the inmates of the Center for Destitutes Empowerment Int'L, Idimu, Lagos State, to make Christmas exciting and their living, meaningful.


Be Inspired Nigeria visited the center over a month ago and decided to share the story of the destitutes and their handlers with Touch of love outreach; a situation which led to this glorious revisit.


This time the humanitarian synergy of these charitable groups resulted to the donation of Mattresses, cash gifts and the payment of tuition fees, owing to the fact that BIN took the list of these needs with them when they visited initially, and decided to share with Touch of Love outreach


Nneka Okechukwu (Ochiora), Coordinator of Be Inspired Nigeria, Ikotun annex, who presented the gifts and cut an Xmas cake on behalf of the groups, said that the visits will continue until the destitutes are brighter, happier and better. She also noted that the essence of the Christmas cake is to show love this special season.


A 300 level student of the Federal College of Education (SPECIAL), OYO State, Oleyede Opeyemi, who is a product of the center, and who had enjoyed free education love and care of the home for over 20 years, stressed that the uncommon love administered by the BIN and Touch of Love outreach is a huge source of motivation and encouragement which should be emulated, especially as the home needs expansion and development to accommodate those rejected and abandoned physically challenged people out there.


Custodian and President of the center pastor Samson Okoliko while appreciating the angelic Visitors, confessed that the gesture is one of its kind, considering the closeness of the visit and the great gift and love showered.


He therefore used the moment to enjoin other Nigerians to embark on charitable works and indulge in supporting homes and Orphanages scattered across the nation.

ALL IS SET FOR 7-DAY IBUGHUBU-UMUCHU YOUTHS CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Nigeria and foreign based prominent sons and daughters of Ibughubu Community, Umuchu town, Aguata Local Government of Anambra State, have started returning home for the first of its kind cultural festival and carnival.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the seven days carnival is set to start from 31th December 2020 and last till 6th January, 2021, at Central School, opposite St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ibughubu, Umuchu, where series of activities have been lined up.
The festival, which is attracting Umuchu sons and daughters including friends both within and outside the town, is billed to be held under the Chairmanship of Ogbuehi Innocent Anununko.
Other dignitaries expected to grace the festival include the Chief Host and Traditional Ruler of Umuchu town, HRM, Igwe Gody Ezechukwu, Chief Godwin Ezeemo, Achi na agbara Oha, Chief Ibrahim Oti, Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, Onwa, Chief Raph Ekekwe, Nwata kwochaa, Sir Benchucks Amarube, Nzeakonobi, Mazi Uchenna Aziekwe, Chief Anacletus Izuakor, Ebekuodike, Christian Okwuogu, HRM Eze Martin Emechebe, Ezendigbo in South Africa, Dr Emmanuel Maduakor, Hon. The President of the Youths, Evangelist Vitus Ikeh, during an interaction with the press expressed their readiness for the event which he described as first of its kind.
He explained that the event will be an annual cultural festival and carnival, where the youths will display their talents, have a feel of the culture and tradition with their societal biases.
Ikeh also disclosed that the maiden edition of the Ibughubu youth cultural magazine and beauty pageant will be showcased thereby giving the younger generation the center stage to showcase how far they have come and to promote the relevance and dexterity of the young men and women.

Ikeh said that Ibughubu youth cultural magazine and beauty pageant aims to achieve a lot by giving young men and women a say in their own style; in essence, giving them freedom, which will be an annual event and will be launched on that day.
 He added that the carnival will be followed by the display of recognition of sons and daughters, who have excelled in various fields, followed by display by masquerades, which will continue till the 6th day of January, 2021.

Consummate security professional, Aleghe Sunnie has opined that unless the Nigeria government looks inward to dialogue with the forces of terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria, especially in the North East - the Nigerian soldiers may be going and never returning, and funds will continue to dissipate through that evil conduit channel.


Aleghe who granted a special audience to Voiceout Nigeria News (VONN) in Lagos, shortly after he was honored by the media as the most Prolific Security Icon of the year 2020 recently, noted with dismay, that the war against terrorism is far from abating due to the fact that the causes of the hydra - headed national security problem are rooted in extreme poverty, hopelessness and leadership abandonment.


In trying to proffer possible solutions, Aleghe advised that the FG must re - strategise to engage the local people in the troubled region in a huge dialogue aimed at finding a lasting panacea, mostly, to the economic problems confronting them, stressing that most of the youths enticed by the terrorist groups are teenagers who have been grossly impoverished and abandoned to accept anything, no matter how terminal a reason he said they became soft and easy tools for the manipulations of the terrorist.


On the general insecurity in the country, Aleghe said that Boko Haram apart, a big security challenge which stems from the kidnapping, armed robbery and banditry spheres stare Nigeria in the face, intimidatingly and constitute a worrisome burden for a government and a people already confronted with a myriad of economic and political hiccups.

He therefore urged the Nigeria Leadership to think in the direction of using dialogue, economic empowerment and other strategic resolution to arrest the unhealthy security situation.
Aleghe also significantly urged the FG to urgently read - design or reposition the security architecture of the Nigeria state with a view to giving a serious consideration to the issue of state Police, as practiced in Western climes; emphasising that the adoption of state Police will deeply harness the huge potential latent in community policing Initiative for the good of all.

On the major advantage of the state policing strategy, Aleghe said that the commissioner of police in every state will have autonomy to operate with the governors who are supposed to be the chief security officers of their states. This he said is better than the quasi security texture we feel presently where the bureaucratic process of waiting for an almighty IGP to dish others causes wanton delay and disaster when security issues require frenzied urgency.

US - based freedom crusader and entrepreneur, Ambassador Steve Nwose has described as shameful, all the antics of the Nigerian leadership, aimed at beclouding the world from the real aftermath of the Lekki saga; pointing that it is a humongous corruption to shy away from the truth when they should apologise to the people and indeed the world.

Nwose noted with chagrin during a recent online media chat, that it saddens and frustrates to see that the monumental efforts of the youths towards pursuing a real - modeling of the sociology - leadership structure of Nigeria is about to be swept under the carpet in the usual Nigeria tradition.

"I am glad that the youths were able to synergies and galvanise resources to stage a nationwide peaceful protest in demand for national sanity. But i am heart broken seeing that the very stiff ruling cabal are making concerted efforts to use the institutions to frustrate the move of the youths";Nwose lamented.

Emphasising that there is a serious dearth of capacity to democratically manage the Nigerian state by the current government, Nwose stated that it remains incomprehensible how a government marshalled the military to quash peaceful protesters when it was not an external aggression, saying that this leadership has lost public trust by the way it is going.

On the investigation panel handling the EndSARS - Lekki matters, he intoned that from all indications, the panel is not going to achieve anything meaningful as government is just buying time and seeking ways to shut everyone up.

Calling that the Nigerian people should be resilient about pursuing true federation, he assured that they in the diaspora community will never relent in tending voices to the matters that will liberate Nigerian from the grip of authocrats who parade in the garments, meant for democrats.

He maintained that for security to be actualised, the issue of state Police which is a component of true federalism must be adopted now.
Nwose therefore urged the Nigerian Media to be more vigorous and authoritative about reporting matters that would change and build a nation where every citizen would be proud and happy; highlighting that the media must sincerely play its watching roles as Nigeria presently stands.


Ending, he said that the media in the United States places the government on its toes to always do what is right, and that with this kind of political structure that Nigeria is running the nation will remain retrogressive.

Nigeria's pragmatic security expert sunnie Aleghe has been bestowed with the prestigious and distinguishing Excellence Award of the American Society for industrial security, world's biggest and largest international security forum for professionals - an award conferred on him yesterday the 5th of Dec. For his safety and security inventiveness and proactiveness.

On the home front Nigeria, a famous media outfit, the voiceout Nigeria news (VONN) also recently honoured celebrated Aleghe with a mark of distinction when they crowned him with 'The most Prolific security Icon of The year' at a ceremony also attended by professionals from other fields of endeavor.

The VONN added the honour to A leg he's already decorated kitty for his socio - economic relevance as a huge contributor to the security wellbeing of Nigeria.

Aleghe served in the Intelligence service unit of the Department of State service (DSS) and retired voluntarily in 2006 to venture into industrial security, a feat that has helped him manage security departments of international organisations.

He is a member of overseas security Advisory Committee (DSAC) certified member of Nigerian Institute of safety professionals (NISP) and a fellow at the Nigeria Institute of Industrial security (FNIIS).

SSSCO SET TO LIBERATE THE SOUTH -SOUTH FROM ECONOMIC DEPRIVATION.

The South-South social-cultural organisation under the able leadership of its fire brand President General, comrade Dr. Anibest James, has revealed their readiness to align with the hope and aspirations of the leaders of the South-South geopolitical zone towards recently issued 7 point demands, to the presidency during a meeting for the emancipation of the region, from the shackles of under development and deprivation despite her oil endowments.

During a press conference recently held in Lagos where the group declared its preparedness to merge forces with leaders of thought of the South-South before the press, executives of the SSSCO who spoke in turns lamented the sorry state of the region and the pitiable condition of the people. People who originally are supposed to be beneficiaries of multifarious economic and good dividends, declaring that the group henceforth will lead the Vanguard that will herald lasting change and development.

Some of the cardinal demands or concern of the SSSCO is the relocation of the oil headquarters of the oil multinationals and that of the relevant government agencies to the region to attract rapid development.; these are coupled with the concerted need for the restructuring of the Nigerian state to allow for equitable distribution and control of wealth for overall development of the Nigerian nation.

The president-General said, "The position of our leaders for true federalism resource control, fair revenue sharing and state Police as a sinequanon toward achieving a better Nigeria cannot be controverted.

Igbo stakeholders United forum, led by its Lagos chapter chairman, prince Nixon okwara, together with the Eze Ndigbo, okota, His highness, chief Nwachukwu and other representatives of the people of other tribes, met with the traditional ruler of Isolo kingdom in his palace yesterday 26th October 2020 over the flying internet threat which gave an ultimatum to Igbos to vacate Lagos following the recent violent protests by some hoodlums who destroyed property and lives.

The convergence which was chaired by the Osolo saw the various leaders which included the sarkin hausawa suing and calm in the face of the threat which was sent by an unauthorized citizen who merely usurped the social media to create unnecessary tension.

During the meeting, the Osolo in his very simplistic and down - to - earth nature, describe Isolo as a cosmopolitan land where their is an admixture of different Nigerians and Others from different parts of the world, living peacefully and pursuing legitimate businesses.

Condemning the unfortunate ultimatum and threat issued online by an element he described as insignificant and unknown; the Osolo assured all non - indigenes of the commitment of leaders of Isolo ,and indeed the entire state to ensuring continual peace and stability.
He also advised Nigerian youths to channel all protests constitutionally and eschew violence that will lead to loss of lives and destruction of property.

Speaking, the Lagos State chapter chairman of the Igbo stakeholders United forum, prince Nixon okwara, buttressed the need for unity, focus and love amongst people of the different nationalities, describing the Yorubas as the most hospitable people as far as the Nigerian nation is concerned, given the fact that their soil is open for anyone who desires to live and establish legitimate businesses in any part of the Southwest.

Okwara shared when he spoke with a minister in the federal capital Territory (FACT) and the minister declared that the investments in Abuja are mostly owned by the Igbos and people from other tribes, an indication that points to the ownership of the FCT by investment and property.

Condemning all forms of violence and destructions that hoodlums perpetrated in Lagos and beyond, okwara stressed that the Yorubas, the Igbos, the Hausas, Fulanis, Ijaws, Itshekiris, uhrobos, Egbiras, Tivs and all others that make up Nigeria are victims of bad leadership and governmental policies that now make people angry and restive.
He therefore appealed for uncommon love and understanding amongst citizens who should see each other as brothers and sisters who must unite to achieve a better world for themselves, pointing that it is foolishness and madness that make anyone suspect the Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and others as their problems.

Advising the youths against attacking police officers and platforms, prince okwara noted that the policeman is like every suffering Nigerian who should be protected by law and other citizens.

His Highness, Eze NWACHUKWU said that the Leaking protesters were peaceful until the evil politicians visited them. He thanked the Osolo and called for total peace in the land ; pointing that there is no alternative to a good nation where citizens are happy.

A youth leader at the parley used the occasion to demand for the regulation of the use of the social media so that harbingers of trouble will not continue to have a field day there.

The general tone of the participants delved in the direction of peace and progress in Lagos State and beyond.

EJIGBO DIVISION RAGES ON TRIUMPHANTLY UNDER CSP OKUWOBI

Last week, just like others past, was such that marked a conquest over criminals for the Ejigbo division as the police family harvested sundry criminals who committed deadly sexual crimes, amongst other successes.

The division headed by a workaholic and result- Oriented iron- Lady, CSP Okuwobi Olabisi, actually dealt deadly blows to the realm of rogues and plucked out some of the dangerous elements for onward prosecution, to cut, down societal tension and viciousness.

In one of the delighting onslaughts, the division is on the trail of some suspects who possibly gang-raped an 11-year old junior secondary School student , along the popular Ejigbo powerline , after nabbing the only suspect from the gory scene.
These evil elements actually raped the tender female to death.
Concerted investigations are presently ongoing, undertaken at the instance of this no-nonesense divisional head.

Similarly, a 19- year old gay young man who forcefully penetrated the anus of an 11-year old son of a hotelier is presently cooling off in police net as men of this division arrested him for this bestial act and coaxed him to confess to have been introduced to homosexuality way back in his hometown. The Ejigbo division, having arrested this criminal, transferred him to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for further investigations.
What a havest of crime these are!

The Executive and legislative arms of the ejigbo local council Development Area, through a unanimous decision, have honoured the divisional police officer (DPO) of the popular ejigbo division Chief superintendent of police CSP. Olabisi Okuwobi, with a distinctively​ outstanding performance Award, for her superb professional attributes as the Paramount police officer of the area.

The award which attracted other benefits to the police station, such as the offer by the head of the legislative arm of the LCDA, Mr. Olanrewaju Akinbowale to always fuel the operational vehicle of the station for the duration of the DPO'S tenure, was meant to spur men and officers for excellence in their respective service, especially as it is meant to boost the morale of the DPO who has changed the face of policing in that area.

CSP Okuwobi who was visibly elated at the presentation ceremony stressed that the honor is not just an additional feather to her cap, but also a call for greater productivity, emphasising that the council Leadership and indeed the people of ejigbo, have made her belief that Community policing is here to stay .

The leader of the house, on behalf of the council, described CPS Okuwobi as a woman who works in same capacity as a man would in the field of providing security for the people of Ejigbo , urging her to continue to excel beyond expectations.

MOTHER OF EXILED NIGERIAN YOUTH BEGS FOR GOVT PROTECTION

A 60 years old, Mrs. Elizabeth Joseph, mother of Osazuwa Joseph, a young man who narrowly escape death in the hands of cultists who worked for a certain politician in Agbor, Delta State, 2014, has sent a Clarion call to the commissioner of police Delta State for protection, following a recent attack on her residence, by forces she suspected to be the cultists who, a couple of years ago made attempt at her son's life.

Joseph's cry to the authorities followed a recent attempt of some marauders to break into her home a couple of days ago ; an attempt which she said was averted by some area guards who arrived on time.

According to her, this was the third time strange people try to break into her home, despite the there was nothing fasinating about the house; a reason she said her life and that of other members are threatened.
She noted that between 2014 when her son Osazuwa, had an unfortunate affairs with the teenager daughter of a politician who sent his political thugs who were mostly undergraduate cultists after him , die to his poor family background, strange attack have characterised her dwelling.

Mrs. Joseph emphasised that a time was when certain young men pushed her down from moving motorcycle which made her sustain several injuries; stressing that she has to relocate from the area for over one year before returning.
She therefore said that the spate attack began to gather momentum only a few weeks ago with an attack on her elders daughter who paid her a visit on weekend from her husband's place in portacourt; a reason made her conclude that if God had not guarded and guided her son Joseph to run away he would have been death and burried she cried

Madam Joseph use the opportunity to appreciate the local vigilante for bridging the security gap in the rural area where cultists has been terrorising, where the police have neglected unfortunately.


She also appealed to the traditional ruler of the town to send an SOS in his capacity to the GOVT over the terror- like attack in the area, lamenting how cultism ravaged the land taken dangerous toll on the youths who have almost totally become helpless tools in the hands of politicians and other perpetrators of evil and sabotage in Nigeria.


With a face sodden with tears and a heart overtaken by fear, Mama Osazuwa confessed that her prayer is that her son should find favour wherever he is and never return to this dangerous land

In order to press home it's demand for a better society where peace and prosperity reign, a group, the Ambassadors for Peace And Enlightenment Foundation and micro - Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (APEF), recently marched against human rights abuse, poverty and general hardship in Lagos; a protest March which took them through the streets of Lagos.

APEF which comprises of various professionals, such as journalists and lawyers have remained a strong Voice against all forms of injustice and Leadership, a misclemeanor since its inception organised this latest protest due to the heightening difficulty in Nigeria, especially Nigerians who are still enmeshed in the challenges imposed by the pandemic lockdown.

The president of APEF, Comrade Prince Saviour while addressing the media men during the protest said that the untold hardship caused by border closure, and the failure of govt to address the causes of suffering gave rise to the protest, stressing that Nigeria's inability to create an enabling environment where industries can grow for employment and the manufacturing of goods for export and local use has resulted to the increase in crime. Nigerians have to survive with a currency with little or no value.

Speaking further, he noted that the time for the masses to arise and stage a unified protest is now, when the cost of living is so biting, pointing that it is inexplicable and quite unacceptable that this administration has imposed more pain on citizenry by hiking petroleum and power tariffs, at a time when the pandemic has forced many firms to close down, and many out of job.

Emphasising the role APEF has played in economic empowerment, rights enlightenment and entrepreneural development, he asserted that APEF has been recognised by the Lagos State Ministry of Education which has already written the organization to be free to train schools on human rights.

Finally he urged government to look in the direction of the challenges emanating from border closure, and to see how opportunities for employment can be enhanced, especially through the agro sector which holds, numerous benefits economically, condemning the recent increase of the pump price of petrol, as well as the electricity tariff hike which they noted as signs of government insensitivity to the plights of the people.

ABSURDITY:

LUTH SUSTAINS MAN'S CAPTIVITY BY OBJECTING COURT ORDER FOR HIS RELEASE.

The protracted battle by the younger sister of Solomon Akukwe, Ngozi Adenuga, to secure his brother's discharge and/or release form the custody of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital-LUTH, after being dumped there by his lover, one Mariam Seidu, has taken a strange dimension, as the LUTH, rather than obey a court order from the Federal High Court, Lagos Judicial Division, to free him.

In a suit filed on 16th, July, 2020, Number FHC/L/CS/816/2020, the LUTH prayed the Court, presided over by the Judge, Hon.M.A.Ayetenu , to ignore the request of Ngozi Adenuga the release of Solomon Akukwe for alternative treatment and care, sequel to which the judge moved hearing to Oct 6th, 2020.

Recall that the ensuing matter between the Akukwes and the Lagos University Teaching Hospital was occasioned by the abandonment of Solomon Akukwe at the psychiatric wing of the LUTH by his lover, Mariam Seidu since the month of February,2020.

It is also worthy of note that the family of the now detained patient were not allowed access to their brother and son for strange reasons.

Ngozi Adenuga had however after several attempts and appeals for Solomon 'freedom,' told the public, through some media efforts, that the LUTH, through the agency. Of one professor Adeyemi ( a consultant ) Co-horts , instructed by Mariam Seidu, had seized her brother and siphoned millions of naira from his account.

She proceeded to alleged that rather than treatment, the LUTH delved into financial investigations by infiltrating, into the account by the patient by forcing him to the bank severally for strange reasons.

According to Ngozi, it was shocking to find that in a document attached to the bunch submitted to court by the LUTH , a letter was conveyed to the management of LUTH on 15th June, 2020, by the only recognised next of kin ( Mariam Seidu) the patient she took to be released precisely to his sister, Ngozi Adenuga. Her request was contained in the letter written on her behalf by her lawyer due to her ill-health.

Ngozi however expressed shock why the LUTH , seeing all these have sustained their detention of her only brother, subjecting him to inhuman treats and accessing his account at will, stating that Over 11 million ( Eleven million Naira) have been withdrawn from Solomon's (her brother's) account since his inception as a special patient at LUTH .

Describing professor Adeyemi, LUTH's consultant as a major accomplice in this gang up against the Akukwe's ,/ Ngozi stressed that his professorship, should be questioned due to his shaddy ways and his resolve to use his knowledge of the Akukwes as a tool to commit evil against their Son and the entire family, wondering how and why the LUTH management submitted family matters , matters, which included, the strenge murder of their mother and brother to the court,as part of the reason for the continuous sezure of Solomon Akukwe.

Ngozi remains shocked why the LUTH and co, became EFCC, ICPC, Nigeria Police and family Matters Advocates, all at the same time, just because they have an interest that the Federal High Court alone will soonest unravel when (Hon.M.A.Ayetenu resumes hearing in oct.

The president of APEF, Comrade Prince Saviour when addressing the press stressed that the foundation has on its shoulders the burden to sensitize the public against rape through vigorous awareness campaigns especially as the case heightens, and especially as many rapists are treated by the authorities with kid gloves, situation which makes the perpetrators commit the evil act of rape, knowing fully well that they could get off the hook easily.

Saviour said the APEF has come to save the situation through meaningful advocacy and interventionist action that will ensure more or stringent punishments for the culpirits and justice for the Victims of rape, emphasising that APEF will achieve a paradigm shift for the peace and joy of the world.

Some of the core areas of interest of APEF includes, Child abuse or maltreatment, molestation or rape of a female child or a woman and also educational empowerment. Over the period of years APEF has organised talent hunts for those who needs sponsorship, football competitions, created the adequate sensitisation of human rights as a citizen in different educational organisations and plans to extend this sensitisation programs into the university system in the nearest future.

More so, in the areas of interest of APEF are very delightful pet projects such as road management and the provision of social amenities where necessary in the community. So far, so good APEF has over the period of time helped many especially the voiceless and the poor in seeking justice and will continue to do so to make the world a better place.

#355, MILLION NAIRA FBN FRAUD, MAN PETITIONS CP OVER ATTEMPTS AT HIS LIFE.

Following a petition forwarded to the commissioner of police, Lagos State command on 20th may 2019,A man's life is in danger owing to some forces operating from firstbank Nigeria plc, sequel to a fraud case of Three hundred and fifty five million naira which transpired at the IBG wing of the bank in 2013.

Omeli Humphrey Darlington the petitioner who was a dispatch rider at the FINAL - IBG, Iganmu, Lagos at that time, has notified the police commissioner of the attempts of some powers from the bank to terminate his life in order to cover up what he termed a fraud concertedly committed by one Mr. Jaiyesimi Abimbola - a senior staff of FBN and his cohorts within the bank and outside.

According to the petitioner, he carried out his duties diligently as a dispatch rider without any blemish until sometime in Sept 2013,when the unfortunate happened. Humphrey conveyed through the petition that he reported to work on this fateful day and as usual was sent on errand to dispatch document to different places, and that quite unusually, his boss (Abimbola) summoned him to return to the office.

On arrival at the office, Humphrey said that strange questions such as who handed the document you went to dispatch to you emanated despite the fact that the pre - dispatch protocols conformed to the official norms which had guided operations since inception of his duties there.

He noted that he was eventually handed over to the security post of the bank before he was taken to a police station surprisingly,and that at the police station, he was asked to admit that he submitted or dispatched documents in error.
Humphrey said that if was at that instance that he knew that something was amiss, stressing that his boss especially have committed a fraud and wanted to use him as scapegoat to cover up their transfer of the sum of #355, 000,000,00 from a certain account olams Nigeria Ltd, a company opposite the FBI regional branch in iganmu.

The petitioner highlighted that a cover up arrangement was used by the first bank team which involved departmental heads and the security personnel,to set him up until he was detained, tortured and charged to court.
Humphrey said that his torture and detentions happened at a different police station, before a magistrate redress in court set him free.

According to him, he filed a suit for the abuse of his fundamental human rights and was granted judgment by the high court which awarded him a compensation to over 17 million naira due to the weight of the allegation. Humphrey stated that prior to this triumph, these evil men operating within the realm of Nigeria's banking sector breaches the law, kidnapped him bruised/threatened him severally until he now suffered auditory problem that make mucous gush out of his ear presently.

Humphrey noted in the 10 page petition to the CP, that the day he was granted bail from the first police station security personnels, using the first bank vehicle, bundled him and tried to take him to some strange destination. Inside the vehicle, the security men and a mobile police officer, dealt series of blows on him using the butt of a gun which made blood gush out of his mouth and nose. This was done despite the bail condition fulfilled during his first arrest, he was taken to Ikoyi police station after his fight for safety as they obviously had the intention to kidnap or maybe kill him to cover up the fraud accusation First Bank officials committed. This made him summon up courage and fought his way to safety by taking a drastic step to violently stop the vehicle, grabbed the key and stopped the engine, all attracted other road users who intervened, leading to the decision of the station to ensure my safety.

Further, Humphrey stated that the FBN power intoxicators manipulated the station until he was charged and sent to prison. This was a torteous experience spanning into months before his bail was perfected, all this is due to the amount involved. Despite all these, he has been getting strange calls, alleniation, victimisation, stigma from people for a crime he was accused of, as a result of this, he hides from one uncompleted building to the other, for fear and hopelessness.

The petition emphasised that his life is in danger and that threats have made him a fugitive inside his home country when he did not commit any crime. He cried that the FBN big men have intensified effort to frustrate him and conceal the fraud by taking steps to seek at the supreme Court through their legal department, instead of obeying the initial judgement.part of the effect made by the petitioner to prove his innocence and unravel the kingpins of the fraud in first bank included letter to the economic & financial crimes Commission - EFCC through his counsel at Falana & Falana chamber to investigate the #355, 000,000,00 fraud.

POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT AFTER GOMBE RAPIST'S

Those who seized a pregnant woman and her neighbour on their way to the hospital for delivery while in labour and raped them using stone on the pregnant woman head in the bush, before absconding are in for some big trouble as the commissioner of police, Gombe state, CP Maikudi Ahmed Shehu has delved into the matter.

It was gathered that a commercial motorcyclist who was conveying the duo to the hospital that faithful day, suspiciously dropped them with bandits who waylaid them at a point of the road, and escaped.

Voiceout Nigeria News (VONN) correspondent who later intimated the CP on the matter, realised that the police division in charge the matter (shongon) was toiling with the matter as 2 suspects arrested in connection.

The media sitrep prompted the CP to Wade into the situation by calling for the case file and the re-arrest of the suspects who will aid the search and arrest of other culprits, it was learnt.

Investigations have since been intensified on the directive of the CP who has vowed to leave no stone unturned in the prosecution of the case which he said will serve as a deterrent for other criminals in the state. The CP also emphasised that rape is an evil crime that cannot have a breeding ground in Gombe.

The raped pregnant woman who was taken to the hospital by good Samaritans moments after she was delivered, put to bed the next day.

As the matter of the detention or continuous seizure of their son, Solomon Akukwe by the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH lingers and get knottire , the Akukwe family represented by Ngozi Adenuga, have approached the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) for solution.

Ngozi who is the younger sister of the 'detained' Solomon Akukwe and the first daughter, decided to meet the human rights body after several other efforts did not yield.

Sequel to her complaints to the IHRC, their external solicitor cum secretary, Okon Ita had written to LUTH management to sensitize them on the consequences of rendering a patient, a captive, even when his family have lamented about the deterioration of his mental ill-health and inhuman handling by the LUTH authority.

The IHRC, through the petition wondered why the LUTH will continue to keep a sickman on the grounds that he was brought by a psychologically unstable lover only recently released from a rehab center, and why some staffers of LUTH tampered with the sickman's phone and bank account.

Some of the charges that the missive stated as what LUTH will face if the captivity lingers are; charge for slavery and keeping Solomon Akukwe under servitude; charge for inhuman or degrading treatment etc.

The body has assured that relevant international laws will be explored against LUTH in the fight to restore the rights and dignity of Solomon Akukwe.

A middle-aged women, Ngozi Adenuga has cried for help over the weekend as one seidu Marian has dumped her brother Solomon Akukwe for months at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idi-Araba with the instruction that no family member should be allowed to see him.

Adenuga alleged conspiracy on the side of the management of LUTH and blamed the Lagos State Police command for this development, because the various petitions she forwarded to the appropriate police quarters were neglected. She wondered why LUTH suddenly mandated its staffs to prevent her and her cousin from seeing Solomon Akukwe whose strange Lover took the psychiatric department due to unstable mental situation. She stressed that her brother Solomon had been under some mental instability with intermittent normalcy after he retired from chevron and sent his legitimate wife and son away.

According to her, Marian Seidu met her brother in a rehabilitation facility in Abuja (FCT) where she was also being revived from complications resulting from drug addiction. Adenuga noted that since that meeting, Seidu had totally taken advantage of the occasional abnormalcy of Solomon to manipulate him to the point that she had strangely withdrawn over 12million naira from his account mysteriously, leaving Solomon's immediate, and remote families in the dark and frustrated, pointing out that Marian Seidu, a native of Jos plateau state perfected her criminal tendencies when she realised my brothers financial status and professional background and immediately relocated to my brother's place in Yaba, In his lagos residence.

She added that because she and her two sisters were in Abuja when Seidu absconded with their brother, she (Marian) was able to 'confiscate 'him for pecuniary reasons. Ngozi Adenuga also talked about how some neighbors at Solomon's compound in Lagos called her attention to the fact that Marian had worsened Solomon's Ill-health with hard drugs and alcohol, that she had to rush to Lagos to meet them. According to Ngozi, she arrived Lagos to find that Marian was in charge of Solomon's belongings, including his bank account. Adenuga said she instructed Marian to take Solomon to Chevron clinic where he had always been taken care of, but rather, Seidu resulted to taking him to LUTH for pecuniary reasons.

"The shocking thing is that since LUTH has been in custody of Solomon, they have acted strangely and proved that Seidu actually seized the man and dump him in the hospital with an inviolable condition that only her should see him. " One day i struggled to enter the LUTH department and found certain members of staff operating my brother's my phone. When I challenged them due to the fact that they would be accessing vital infos, including his account, they turned against me and asked the security to bundle me out. "Since then, they ensured that no one from Akukwe family comes to LUTH to see Solomon " Ngozi said.

Discovering this gang up and conspiratorial tendencies, i petitioned the CP, Lagos State. And I was refereed to SCID, Panti where I was told that the Covid-19 has affected everything, that petitions are no longer accepted and treated. "To my greatest shock, i got calls from my security man that an invitation came from the same SCID, due to a petition it received from LUTH, the partners of Marian Seidu, my elder brothers abductor", Adenuga cried. Wondering why SCID took the petition from LUTH, after rejecting her own, and why LUTH had maintained a hard stance against her , only to encourage Marian Seidu who is milking him dry. Nobody from the Akukwe family knows if Solomon is still alive, Adenuga needs the intervention of relevant authorities and Nigerians in general as strangers have seized his brother and are currently tampering with his wealth, not even bothered about his health condition.

Adenuga also lamented about the fact that all the legitimate effort she adopted to free her brother which included her lawyer visiting and liaising with the legal team of LUTH for a panacea proved abortive. She condemned the attitude of the LUTH's lawyer, who promised to Wade into the matter when he was contacted by my lawyer, only to know that they petitioned the SCID against her.

According to aggrieved and bewildered Adenuga who talked about how her life is under threat as different unknown numbers calls her, unknown men also came to look for her, she got to know about the strange men from the security man where she resides. she stated that LUTH recently declared that the only one who could take sick Solomon Akukwe from their detention is Seidu Marian, without making any efforts to urgently invite her, despite knowing that Solomon's health was deteriorating. Funny enough since the imbroglio began months ago Marian Seidu had never contacted or pick calls from any family member of the man in her captivity and has never openly come to LUTH to resolve issues.

COVID-19: WOMEN POLICE TAKES PALLIATIVE, SAFETY CAMPAIGN TO COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS.

A woman of repute, CSP Oyin Frances, Divisional Police officer, Aswani division in Lagos, who has been making remarkable impact as leader of divisions in a male-dominated terrain, recently set a golden trend as another challenging feat, when she dolled out thousands of packs of palliative items which were strategically distributed. The packs which contained sanitizer, hand wash and packs of noodles were conveyed in a bus and shared within Aswani communities where her station lies, Okota and Area 'F' police Barracks.


CSP Oyin's Largesse did not end with sharing those prevention and safety products, as she also specifically distributed packs of cooked food and packs of raw beans to widows. Her distinctive approach which she code -named COVID-19. OUTREACH was used to preach to the residents to ensure social distancing, to wear face masks, wash and sanitize hands regularly with 80% alcohol based sanitizers etc, assuming them that collective prevention and care which will help defeat corona virus pandemic and help return our once safe environments.

CSP Oyin also shared customized vests to many others as a socially responsible Senior police officer who believe in the peace and safety of the people.

A beneficiary of this charitable gesture, a middle-age women, when talking to some journalists who stormed the venue, expressed delight and noted that it was the first time this kind of gesture came from a police angel.

Responding to questions from media men, Oyin said that whatever anyone does well is a function of divine enablement. She also said that whoever finds delight in giving, even out of his or her little resources, does God's work and surely makes the world a better place.

The current executives of Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association of Nigeria, the famous pan-Igbo socio- cultural organisation, became 2years on June 1st 2020. Various leaders, have reeled aloud that the association has lived up to the essence of its creation and existence.

At the occasion marking the 2 years anniversary of the exco, held recently at its national Secretariat in Lagos, some members of the executives delightfully enumerated their achievements and how they have positively impacted on the lives of igbos, at home and in diaspora.

Comrade Ifeanyi Igwebe, secretary general of the association noted that the association was actually formed on 7th April 2016, but that the exco was officially inaugurated on June 1st 2018,noting that since that inauguration, the association has been useful to Ndigbo everywhere.

He stated that the association's intervention have saved People (Igbos) from oppression injustice and all forms of intimidation, especially those with cases at the various police stations stressing that even businessman, such as importers whose consignments had problems were helped by Ndi Igbo Buru Otu.

Responding, the chief spokesman of the grot, Hon. Chief (Mrs) Rufina Emedurunwa stated that the association is very organised so that it reaches out to non members through humanitarian offers. According to her, this underscores why the registration for membership attracts reasonable amount of money. Emedurunwa shared that both members and executives believes in helping the helpless.

Contributing, the Legal Adviser, Mary Joy Okasin, Esq, pointed that the association has been helpful in assisting those Igbos who have police cases for low financial and social status. Promising that this stance will continue as it is one of the core missions of the association.

Speaking on the spiritual need of the group, Pastor Chinyere Ezeghalike the spiritual counselor of the association stressed that due to the fact that the group lives in perilous times, there is need for spiritual fortification that comes through prayers. She however debunked the claim from some quarters that members are forced to come for vigils.

Speaking on the charity wing of the body, the Chairman of the Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association of Nigeria NGO, Mr Chisimdi Ezendukwe disclosed that the group has reached out to the less privileged especially the widows, orphans and other vulnerable persons, stating that bills of those receiving medical attention, sometimes were footed by the house, to save lives. He affirmed that food items and other basic needs are given out by individuals of Ndi Igbo Buru Otu most especially the able presido High chief CC Nwokedi.

"During the lockdown, this group, through the NGO wing, offered relief or palliative packages to many families to ease their suffering. I must note without Prevarication that during this pandemic, Mr President, Chief C C Nwokedi spent personal funds to augment our charity works. I Commend him, among others, 'he stressed. Consolidating the chat, High Chief CC Nwokedi, president General, added that the Ndi Igbo Buru Otu association of Nigeria has done so much in the area of providing logistic support to the police platforms to encourage efficiency and effectiveness in oder to ensure that safety, security, law and order are maintained to the delight of Nigerians not Igbos alone.

High Chief CC Nwokedi, said that the Association has grown in leaps and bounds as a national body, but that it is so meticulous about citing branches and handing responsibility to individual in different states of the federation. Nwokedi said that the association will hand responsibilities only to morally upright socially respected and capable individuals who can represent legitimately and responsibly. This he said is so because Ndi Igbo Buru Otu association of Nigeria is an uncommon outfit different from others. He also buttressed the fact that the group is not competing with any other socio-cultural group but has a special mandate to fight the course of the Igbos, at home and in the diaspora. He proudly said that the association already has an estate where the people can get property at affordable rates.

Nwokedi, boasted that the association will continue to wax strong and remain very relevant in doing justice to equity, fairness and peace. He however used the medium to thank members and exco as well for their sacrifices towards building a strong family which has resulted to the ongoing building of the association's permanent Secretariat inside the Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Estate in Lagos state.
