In your own world, Owerri where you truly must have come from generates the devt money for Imo state, therefore right to plough nearly all the devt money on urban development of Owerri?

Unknown to you, that Orlu must be contributing more than Oguta to the funds for development of Imo state.

Little money from the oil producing company in Oguta goes to the federal government and a tiny percentage of it paid to IMSG as 13% from derivation.

Your stupidity in not recognizing nature that Orlu is the headquarters of Imo West Senatorial district robbed Nd’Igbo the commensurate political representation at Abuja when some people went for Orashi state instead of Njaba state proposed.
That stupidity still holds you to not even understand that many of the states who profit from shared revenues from oil do not contribute oil money to the National coffers.

A very critical matter... very critical indeed.

Establishment of more universities means less stress in getting admission. With more universities, there'll be more slots for admission seekers.

However, studies have shown that ASUU has gone on strike 15 times between 1999-2020. The reason for this is not far-fetched:

UNDERFUNDING BY THE FG among other issues

Is there any guarantee that these universities will be well funded?

Let's see how things will go.
Mass education is key to human and economic development.
An educated population is easier to govern.

Let them use the money being stolen by politicians to establish education institutions all over the place for the youths to get tertiary education. With time, the standard in the tertiary education institutions shall improve.
Even at that, the students who truly entered university to get knowledge do study on their own, and often measure up with others who studied in universities with best standard.

''You Cannot Bring Down What Is Already Down'' - Aisha Yesufu Replies Garba Shehu Who Said Nobody Can Bring Down Buhari's Government

Aisha Yesufu has replied the Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who on Friday, March 26, said in an interview with Channels TV that nobody can bring down the Buhari-led administration because it is a democratically elected government, IgbereTV reports.

''I want to assure Nigerians that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is addressing multiple challenges that are facing the country especially in dealing with security and yet we are still making progress in agriculture, economy, anti-corruption.

It is sad for the country that opposition is exploiting some of these things. It is quite unfortunate and I want to assure that the president remains focused in preserving the security and unity of this country.

We accept that dissent is allowed, this is a democracy and people have a right to tell truth to government but we must be careful in doing that. Nobody can bring down the government because this is a government elected democratically.

Government in a democracy come through periodic elections and if we have a government in office as we have, sponsored by political parties to win the elections, it is telling you that that confidence of the public is still there.'' Shehu said

Ms. Yesufu in a video shared on social media said she totally agrees with Mr. Shehu. According to her, nobody can indeed bring the Buhari government down because it is already down.

bilms:
Look, I believe that the Presidency should be won by merit. Now, there are times when you have to be sensitive to what is going on. At a point in time when you have a crisis and political leaders get together and say, ‘okay, for the purpose of the crisis we are facing, let us try to work out these arrangements.’ But then, you cannot impose that on anybody. And that was what happened in 1998, when some Northern leaders with whom we formed the PDP were trying to say ‘okay, let us try and get a candidate from a specific zone.’ It was not formalised.

The proposition came from the North. Either of those leaders of the party with whom we formed the party then could have become the President. Alhaji Adamu Ciroma, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, Prof Jubril Aminu, Prof Jerry Gana, Dr Iyochia Ayu, all these people from the North are with big profiles. They could have been President at that time. Because some people were trying to reduce the annulment of the June 12 election to be something targeted against a particular ethnic group, they said ‘let’s go to that zone and pick somebody.’

They were not really routing for Obasanjo then. I was in all those meetings. I was one of the youngest among those old men in those days. The prevalent sentiment was to go for Olu Falae. But Olu Falae and the Afenifere team took a premature position of withdrawing from the PDP. Because they didn’t want to have a contest, they just wanted the party to say it has been zoned to them and they left the PDP prematurely. In fact, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and Prof Jerry Gana were sent to go and talk to Chief Olu Falae that he should not leave the PDP. But, he said, ‘no, I will go with my Afenifere people’ and he went with them. And they had a smaller platform, because the PDP was a big party, so there was no way Afenifere would have won with AD. But I am not saying what they did was wrong. They still controlled the South West in that election and they still remained relevant as a voice. They have the rights as a political organisation to determine their strategy and tactics of engagement and what was important for them at any particular point. This is by no means judging what they did. I am only trying to enumerate what happened

So, what I am saying is that people can take such a decision, but you don’t come blackmailing other ethnic groups and say ‘it is our turn, you people have had your fair share.’ You need to cultivate understanding and even then, when people were saying that, I was not for that. I was for Alhaji Abubakar Rimi who contested until our group, the Social Progressives Platform, then, met and it was decided that we should support Obasanjo.

In that contest, there were many people from the North and everywhere that contested against Obasanjo, even though there was a preponderance of opinion. So, it was that opinion that swayed in his favour, it was not as if the party said nobody from any other zone could contest.

The division of the Presidency on an ethnic basis always causes its own division. The last time I checked, the only country that tried that at the executive level is no more; that was Yugoslavia. It has broken into pieces. This is because once you start that thing, there is no end to it. Because in Nigeria, we don’t just have Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas and Fulanis. Nigeria is made up of 350 ethnic groups. About 250 of them are in Northern Nigeria. So when you start this rotational presidency, the assumption is usually ‘Oh, once a Yoruba man has gotten it, the Fulani, Hausa and Ibo have gotten it, everybody is fine.’ That is not it. Under that your arithmetic, when will an Okun man in Kogi become President? When will a Nupe man become President? When will a Jukun become President?
Look, your long epistle could not have been if you had considered the fact that we share oil and gas revenues among the states in Nigeria, therefore we need to share (rotate) the presidential seat among the political blocks of Nigeria. Therefore, it’s turn of the SE zone to produce presidential candidates in the two largest political parties and succeed PMB, after the NW, SW, and SS have had their turns. Okun gets share from natural resources therefore Okun’s turn to present president for Nigeria shall come one day, unless you want Okun to take turns before the Igbo.

Since 1960, northern groups have ruled Nigeria till 1999, except the few years of Obasanjo who succeeded late Muritalla Mohammed.
The present skewed political structure of Nigeria also necessitates rotation of presidency among the zones, and by extension, the states.
One or two groups in Nigeria dominating apex political power in Nigeria by abolishing rotation is like asking for worse situation than the Yugoslavia you cited as example for Nigeria.
If you want functional Nigeria where no groups will bother to agitate to present president for Nigeria, sign up for political restructuring of Nigeria in a National Conference with conferees equally drawn from the three regions that formed Nigeria in 1960, to return to regional government system.

In today’s political structure of Nigeria, if north fields a northern presidential candidate in any of the two largest political parties, while a southern presidential candidate contests from the other largest political party, the northern presidential candidate must win the election.

Why apart from the SE?

For rotation and justice sake, both APC and PDP need to have presidential candidates from the SE for the 2023 presidential election.

We did similar things for the SW in 1999
when we placed Obasanjo and Falae on the presidential ticket of each of the two largest political parties then, to ensure that a Yoruba utilized rotation to emerge president of Nigeria then.
Politics › Re: Olawepo Hashim: No Serious Politician Will Join PDP by onuman: 5:55pm On Mar 28, 2021
Olawepo Hassim cancels rotation of presidency.

He cites MKO Abiola and Olusegun Obasanjo as having constructed right political alliances that enabled both win.

But the political structure of Nigeria has not been skewed in favor of north when Abiola purportedly won the election.

What political alliance did Obasanjo who was in Kuje prison form, when Alex Ekwueme with his group of 33 formed PDP, extracted power from the military, thereafter, Obasanjo was released from prison by northern military dictators who funded and supported his run for presidency?

The shophistiWretched Olawepo with his group campaigning for Yoruba president in 2023 now cancel rotation, because it’s the turn of the SE to produce successor to PMB.

In other words, north shall retain the office of president after PMB.
