Why do you like talking rubbish and nonsense? Even this your analogy betrays your point.do you realize that even in the UK,england somewhat dominates the UK? England has more divisions than the rest of the UK and has produced more prime minister than the rest.no matter the balance, someone will have an upper hand.
Even under the colonial system, the British set up nigeria in a way that favours the north.the north had more members in the then national assembly.even during the first republic when we had regionalism, the north still had more seats and provinces than the other regions combined.the north is always destined to dominate nigeria
You wrote like a dumbo, especially with your England example in the UK.

My point was that soldiers from England cannot suddenly change the existing federating political units in the four nations that made UK their country, and create more number of federating political units in England because of larger population and landmass of England, but create lesser number of political units in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland; just like northern military dictators took power and created excess number of states in the north which formed independent Nigeria with western and eastern regions.

If you must be so insulting next time, don’t bother to reply because I hate discussing with cretins who resort to insulting each time they are losing an argument.

What does other countries use as criterion
Criterion that must maintain the political power balance that existed between the regions that formed a country by the time all the new states are created.

For example, England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are in the United Kingdom.
England has largest land mass and population.

But English military dictators cannot divide England into 20 federating units but divide others into 8 federating units each.

If UK turns out like that, it means that the English have become new owners of the UK.
That’s how Arewa north became quasi new owners of Nigeria after northern military dictators proliferated 19 states in northern region but 8.5 states in each of the two southern regions by using land mass or population as criterion. Foul.

It's worrisome how the APC folks on this platform resist opposition and criticism. The news is someone is dead and ure busy dragging the man into ur cold war with PDP. What gives you assurance that ur leader ure dying for will emerge victorious come 2023? Whether odumakin was a PDP member or not, he lived for what he believed and no one has criticized ur govt and leader in this area than u did during last PDP regime. The likes of Odumakin will be silent if: Ur Government can secure the lives of citizens by ending terrorism, herdsman attack, kidnapping etc.
Ur government can fight corruption sincerely and give hope of better economy to citizens and not this inflation via persistent increase in PMS, total deregulation without fixing refineries as promised during campaign.
No sane man will support the ambition of any APC stalwart that calls himself a leader and refuses to speak and advise govt which he was part of it's formation on these salient issues just becos of his selfishness (Even OBJ that has retired from politics is writing and advising bubu although he is not taking it).
Just do these two things and see if the likes of Odumakin, Sunday igboho and hosts of others won't shut up on criticizing ur leader and bubu ure defending.
If political restructuring of Nigeria to a governable country was done before Yinka Odumakin’s demise, he would have been happy in his grave.

Those people abusing him even at his death - all they want is apex political power to their god Tinubu or whoever..
After Tinubu as president, their problems in Nigeria that started from Nigeria’s 36 states political structure remain.

Odumakin is one of the few southerners who understood that the 36 states and Abuja political structure with 20 states in one northern region but an average of 8.5 states in each of the 2 southern regions, created by Northern soldiers made southerners mere onlookers on Arewa in Nigeria’s political process.

The excess political representation drawn by Arewa from the 20 states dwarfs any of the other two regions in the south.

Land mass or population is never used as criterion to proliferate too many states in a region with larger land mass or population in a country formed by different regions.

The only thing buhari said that meant anything to me was him calling Nigerians lazy fuqs. Everything else he said was, as far as I was concerned, just promises that he had no chance of fulfilling even if he wanted or had the integrity to fulfil since he is not some God who gets to say "Let there be light", and light is.

Like all Nigerian politicians, Buhari made promises to get elected but that does not necessarily mean he is a fraud since he might have wanted to fulfil his promises only to realise the job was not for one person alone.

Buhari's job was to become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which he obviously is. His job, as far as I am concerned, is to make Nigerians understand that no president is a miracle worker, and we are all responsible for ruling our nation.

No, buhari has not failed. Not me, at least. Buhari can only have failed if you thought the job he applied for is different to the one he got, which is obviously not the case, since he obviously got the job he applied for, and to be honest, the job I expected of him.

We Nigerians have failed ourselves and will continue to fail ourselves for as ling as we keep thinking any president we elect will work miracles

I can state that Buhari is somewhat inept like all presidents Nigeria has had. I would however need evidence of him being corrupt to say he is corrupt, which I do not yet have.

Thankfully, EFCC will let me know if he is corrupt once he leaves office when his fight against corruption will finally begin with and on him, which is when I will know if he is truly inept too.
Political corruption known as nepotism is worse than monetary corruption.

Nepotism totally destroys a country of multi ethnic groups, whereas monetary corruption does not eat the fabrics of nationhood in a country of multi ethnic groups.

PMB is most involved with nepotism more than any leader ever in Nigeria.

But when it's time to rig local government elections or harrass citizens they have full power to command security forces, abi? And when insecurity is at the peak in the state, all they need to do is fall flat on their face to defeat because they have no command of the security operatives. If they don't have a say on how to secure their state from insecurity, why were they elected? It's the duty of the government to secure life and property, and for every state, the ultimate responsibility falls on the governor.
Even a local government councilor can organize tugs to help him rig elections, talk less, a state governor.

Security of lives and property in a state is different from organizing police and soldiers to help to rig elections for governor.

Nigeria’s constitution dubiously called governors the chief security officer of their states. But the governors don’t command any security outfits to secure their states.
Any day Amotekun seriously goes against the interest of Buhari clan, the armed forces of Nigeria shall be unleashed against the Amotekun.
Nigeria’s political structure and constitution supervised by northern military dictators were programmed to make southerners to remain mere onlookers in the political process of Nigeria in a unitary government system.

Does your state governor who is dubiously named the chief security officer of his state command the security forces in his state?
A chief security officer must have security forces he commands. Nigeria Police and military are the instruments of coercion (force) in Nigeria. Both are commanded by the president of Nigeria.

Nigeria’s governance system is most retrogressive, all because Arewa north wants to dominate and control everything in Nigeria after Arewa soldiers restructured Nigeria politically, proliferated too many states and political constituencies in the northern region which Arewa exploits for control of Nigeria.

There needs to be a special court for landlord/tenant disputes on rent in order to straighten accommodation problems in Nigeria.

The courts must adjudicate on tenant/landlord issues within six months.

Criminal tenants profit from the present long postponement of court cases and live in houses for years without paying rent.

If a tenant can’t pay rent, he must return to his village.

Accommodation money per month takes the largest chunk - by far, from a worker’s monthly earnings in the developed world. But in Nigeria, some tenants occupy landlord’s building and ask landlord to go to court.

It’s only eeediots in Nigeria who occupy landlord’s house without paying rent; they don’t give a thought to the fact that landlord made sacrifices in building the house.
In developed economies, who be tenant who can owe rent to landlord and still get good sleep?

Loads of Rents go to pay mortgage or loans in developed economies.

Hijab has become a celebrity in Nigeria while education took a nosedive to insignificance. After 1999 when the former governor of Zamfara state, Sani Yerima, introduced Islamic Sharia criminal laws into the 12 northern sharia states, Boko Haram emerged and says that it’s fighting for a country to be governed with Islamic Sharia criminal justice system.

Rate of Western Education, especially in the northern sharia states, started to plummet.
Nigeria universities have been closed for about a year recently due to stage-managed labor disputes. Western Education is Haram.

Nigeria’s president has been at the forefront of drive for Islamic Sharia criminal justice system be used all over Nigeria.

A BBC female Reporter asked then governor Sani Yerima if he did not see the possibility of breakup of Nigeria because of his introduction of Sharia criminal laws.
