Must politicians always lie? Hey..... Instead of telling us how he was booed in Ohaji/Egbema when he mentioned the house of assembly aspirant, the same yesterday, they are here talking about another thing. I'm not a politician but saw the crowd that came into Owerri yesterday, not hired as supposed. In Imo, GEJ wins while ORO has presently, no credible opposition.
Yes, there is a credible opposition to Okorocha. Iheanacho and Ike Ibe ticket will unseat him.
PoliticsDo We Have Only Two Presidential Candidates? by Onyegecha(op): 7:18pm On Jan 15, 2015
That is how it appears. We seem trapped between the devil and the deep sea. Why can't we try other candidates even if they are not so well known? Is it all about money and popularity?

mikeansy:
you are taking the President's words out of context

if you look at the full speech you will see that the President was questioning the wisdom of jailing people for 300years as it solves nothing. Jailing Jim Nwobodo for 301years for allegedly stealing one Peugeot has not meant corruption has disappeared in Nigeria. That is the point the President was making.

He went further to enumerate how his administration is seeking new ways to prevent people from stealing rather than wait for people to steal so that you send them to jail for 300years.
Your defense makes us appreciate the work that the president's media handlers are doing , always trying to defend the indefensible and ending up sounding so so so stupid.

Christianity EtcWhat Is So Great About Christmas? by Onyegecha(op): 6:26pm On Dec 25, 2014
When we celebrate the birth of Christ, it is because he came to save the world. That raises the question, what exactly did he save the world from? Since after he came and died, what has changed in the world? Death has remained as it has always been. Sin has remained unaffected. Violence, war, strife, religious bigotry have not been removed or even reduced. The difference is only in the realm of belief and faith just as all other religions before Christianity. What has he saved us from?

They are simply at the mercies of larger countries, and footnotes in history.

You are sooo on point, my dear, but what can we do? A few individuals who are benefiting from the false entity called Nigeria will not allow the right thing to be done. This is the country where the minority oppresses the majority with ease. I see no way out. Even the revolution that has worked in other places may not work here for the same reason. We seem to be trapped. Pity!

PoliticsHurray! Rochas Has Done It Again. by Onyegecha(op): 6:41pm On Nov 25, 2014
A film academy he commissioned on the 21st of November collapsed on the 22nd of November. We still remember the lecture hall he built at IMSU that collapsed, the Princess Hotel at Okigwe, the gate at the government house and other substandard structures that went the same way. This latest feat is the icing on the cake. Who can beat this record in Nigeria?
PoliticsYes, We Support Him For President! Nb-oro Is Short For Owelle Rochas Okorocha by Onyegecha(op): 8:01pm On Nov 06, 2014
From Facebook

ORO for President, I support him wholeheartedly, at least undercover Muslim is better than fanatic Muslim who threatens to make Nigeria ungovernable if he fails. Mujaheed Owelle Adamu R. Anayo Okorocha for President, you have my "vote". At least he will remember us in Imo and upgrade us from China roads to Korea roads for Imo while the rest of Nigeria will enjoy the Chinese standard of Roche Construction we have been "enjoying" for the past four years. Contracts will no longer be signed on paper for easy deniability and Due Process and Rule of Law will be kicked out of the window as the Judiciary will seize to be an arm of government. ORO for President, let's put all hands on deck to make this a reality. If as a governor controlling just one state allocation we celebrated 1000 properties, as President controlling 36 allocations plus Federal allocation Haba, na 40,000 palaces we go celebrate. If as governor we declare public holidays for our birthdays and weddings, as President half of the year in Nigeria will become public holidays and we will be chartering Space shuttles from NASA to celebrate on the moon. Abortion and gay will both be legalized so ndi ashawo na ndi homo cast your support. At least quality education will be replaced by quantity education producing half-baked illiterates from our universities. As governor our son-in-laws hold dual offices so as President they will hold at least three offices keeping the money within the family. The major projects in Nigeria will become construction of roundabouts so every civil engineer should start drawing their designs. Mujaheed ORO for President, let all hands be on deck to make this dream a reality.
PoliticsRe: How Okorocha Is Spending Imo State Money! by Onyegecha(f): 2:41pm On Nov 06, 2014
Abagworo:
Rochas Okorocha is by far the best leader in Nigeria today. Come back home and ask the people or compare with what you knew your place to be while in Nigeria. I can never sweat myself out or waste my time on anything bad. My nature forbids that.
Abagworo, you and your master cannot fool Imo people again. Maybe we should all work hard to install him as the president of Nigeria. That way, everyone will understand what Imo has been going through in this man's hands. I promise you it will take only two months in office for everything to start vibrating. At least Imo people can have a little respite while the entire nation battles to regain some sanity. Rochas wu ahia ojoo! Quit promoting raw evil.
PoliticsRe: How Okorocha Is Spending Imo State Money! by Onyegecha(f): 7:51am On Nov 04, 2014
My dear, you have been deceived by the master deceiver called Rochas.
The truth is not very obvious except to those who are resident in Imo state. We are in a terrible mess. The man in question is a disaster; a smiling tyrant. No other state in the South East is as messed up as Imo state. Ask those who know what is happening, including his close aids. In their sober moments, they say the truth.

Pity us. Don't envy us.

TheIROKO:
please ma a governor that gave free education up to higher institutions (confirmed this personally from IMSU students) with countless no of capital projects with so many life changing programs, infact his achievements as a governor is incomparable to any other state government I have witnessed (am from Ebonyi, currently schooling in Anambra, grew up in Abia and spending my holidays in IMO state) so I have been to all SE states except Enugu but if Nigerians choose to glorify mediocrity and nepotism ahead of excellence then it is very unfortunate.
PoliticsRe: How Okorocha Is Spending Imo State Money! by Onyegecha(f): 8:29pm On Nov 03, 2014
No, we have not forgotten. How can we forget the only governor who really turned Imo state around and left it standing on its head?

No one can forget the man who came in and saw nothing good in the provision of basic amenities like water, destroyed all the roads in the name of repairing them, destroyed the civil service, mummified the local government structure and buried rule of law by enthroning the worst forms of lawlessness the good people of Imo state have ever witnessed.

obajemj:

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by Onyegecha(f): 7:04am On Oct 27, 2014
If you notice, my dear, i do not throw insults on people and i will not let you draw me down that lane of infamy. I will not keep quiet and allow anybody truncate the truth in the land of my birth. That is why i bother to respond to posts like yours. My question remains, who owns the university at Ogboko? Does it have a name?
The so-called university at Mbaise, what is the stage of completion right now? The Imo college of Advanced studies,(built by Rochas) what has become of it now? What has happened to the school of health technology Amaigbo under Rochas?
I may not blame you(that is if you are merely one of his victims) because we are up against a great scammer who can deceive even the very smart.
If Rochas has surpassed Mbakwe like you claim, why do Imo sons and daughters troop out of the state in search of livelihood? Mbakwe built many viable factories. By now, Imo would have been the toast of the nation. The truth is bitter. Rochas has taken us back by sooo many years. Stop selling these lies because they may haunt you for many years to come.

You said you pass through Imo state regularly. Do you honestly think that is enough to make you an authority in Imo politics? Think again, my brother.

For your information, i don't even understand the mechanism of banning and unbanning people on this forum so quit barking up the wrong tree.

B2mario:
Mr. Man your case is quite different from the case of Onyegecha(mrs/miss). Your problem is that you want Rochas to open a multi faculty university in Orlu and environs but you've never denied that Rochas has tried in the area of education, industry, road network(both urban and rural), cities expansion and beautification , health, hospitality, trade/commerce, etc. Atimes if i look at your case, your agitation seems to be just because you want your Orlu to be as develop as Owerri and compete with it in all facet of life which everybody can wish for. But Onyegecha will tell you that outrightly Rochas is a scam and has failed imolites, which i don't like. She has said repeatedly that imolites are facing worst road, worst education in Rochas regime and that Rochas has failed imolites and should be kicked out of office in the next election while the same Rochas is the best gov Imo state has ever produced, he has surpassed Mbakwe. Mbakwe did not build any University(pls ask gov. Ike Nwachukwu, he's still alive), his work then was centered only at Aba and Owerri, he did nothing in Umuahia(Michael okpara's home, where he said they broke his father's jaw of wine), Orlu(Collins Obi's area), Ohaofia and Okigwe(Amadi ikwechegh can tell more from his grave), but today the same Rochas Mrs. Onyegecha called a scam is building 2 universities in Imo state, one at ogboko and the other at Mbaise, I'm sure of 2 polytechnics, one at Orlu, former TESEIC and other at mbano, many colleges and schools(eg, the school of health technology at Okporo), he revived Avutu poultry, imo Ada palm and Oguta wonder lake, he's developing Owerri and at the same time paying serious attention to Orlu and Okigwe. Mrs. Onyegecha is a heartless liar and i believe she's a staff of Nairaland cos she has banned me many times because i said something good about Rochas which was true and was what i saw with my eyes. She has been trying to cover the main truth and can lie without conscience. No right thinking person can have the gut and say that Rochas has not done well in imo state cos the things are there for one to see whenever one is passing imo state. I pass imo state virtually every week and i know that before the inception of Rochas govt there was nothing like Malaysia mkt in Obowo, relief mkt in Owerri and Mgbidi, Orlu shopping plaza, Okporo shopping plaza, new Orlu building material mkt, no single dual carriage road and street light in Orlu and Okigwe, nothing like Heros' square, no free education, no University facilities at Ogboko and Mbaise, no school of health technology facility at Okporo, no skill acquisition centre at Okporo, no Imo anthem, no free school uniform for school children, no children parks at Orlu and Owerri, IMSUTH was almost collapsed, Rockview Hotel building was an abandoned property, Owerri was not the way it is today, no much rural roads(though Udenwa tried in the area of rural roads). So Mr. Man don't question me if i don't want to engage her. She's far from Imo state and can not ask question from people within.

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by Onyegecha(f): 6:59pm On Oct 24, 2014
Actually, there is no part of Imo state that is free from death traps called roads. I just mentioned a few. I even forgot the shell camp road right beside the government house. A death trap it is! I went to the village somewhere in Mbieri last weekend and realized that INDEED, Imo has gone to the dogs. Mbaitoli, Ikeduru, Ngor Okpalla, Onuimo Arondizuogu, among many others do not know that there is a government in Imo state. Unfortunately, even Owerri, the seat of power is deteriorating very fast in spite of all the gbalu gbalu going on in the name of governance. PLEASE FIND YOURSELF SOMETHING BETTER TO DO BECAUSE ROCHAS IS BAD MARKET and we have had enough of him and his clueless team.
Abagworo:
You've come with your other moniker to sell lies. There's nowhere in Nigeria all the roads are good. In fact if only the aforementioned places are the bad spots in Imo then its the best in Nigeria. I travelled from Owerri to Orlu on a road under construction which has reached 70%. I was highly impressed because I never read about it anywhere or saw anything about it on TV. Apart from constructing the highest number of roads in Nigeria which we all know but some of you choose to claim blind to that fact, road is not the only evidence of development. There is evidence of increased population of wealthy people going by the rate of new palatial houses springing up everywhere to complement the new roads within a record short period of time. There is free education at all levels. There is improved security. We now have a standard health diagnostic centre and also cancer centre in Imo State. New industries have sprung up and "diasporans" are now investing at home. Owerri our State capital is so neat one can eat food from the roads. Propaganda of looking for some few bad roads in few slums cannot change that fact. Orlu is now a growing city with future and rescued from stagnant decades. I've not been to Okigwe to ascertain its level of improvement. Most of the villages now have their roads tarred and over 200 schools have been completed. 27 hospitals are being built and many are at very advanced stage. I'm happy with Okorocha and proud of the Imo State I saw 3weeks ago. The difference in 3 years is unbelievable and is almost comparable with 7years of other States.

My take remains that a lot has been done since 2011 but much is also left undone and at the rate Okorocha is working if his successor continues at that pace, 10 years from now we should be the 1st truly developed State in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by Onyegecha(f): 8:08am On Oct 24, 2014
Abagworo and co, you guys cannot succeed in selling Imolites a dummy called Rochas. We know the truth. aLL THE ROADS IN World Bank area are terribly bad, Umuguma junction, a torture. Douglas road has very bad spots, Ikenegbu, Aladimma, Orji, Nekede, West end/ Nworie area, Naze, Ihiagwa road, all very terrible. We see road workers everywhere and yet we have no good roads. Why should we celebrate? You go to Orlu, snap sections of the road that are good and upload them on Nairaland, but inhabitants of Orlu are in dire distress. Keep propagating your lies but the truth must prevail.

GetUmad:
Another anti-Rochas thread again just to cast aspersions on his person and disparage his administration. This only point to one thing: like GEJ cool and Obaino, the Rochas dude must be active. Damn! People can only go this extra mile when you're percieved as an obvious and worthy threat. This explains why people don't bother to do such for Orji. This also explains the throng of anti-Jagaban threads per seconds on nairaland .
The reason why people go to this length in exposing Rochas is that he is an exceptionally smart con man that only the very insightful can decode. People who have come to understand him are greatly worried that if nothing is done to open the eyes of others(his mugus), they may return him to power based on the power of his deceptive tongue. Imo is really in deep mess. I doubt if any one person can enumerate all the evils he has committed against the people who ignorantly gave him their votes. Everything i read so far is true. He was not able to go through with the borehole charges because of strong opposition from the people, but every other thing is true.

PoliticsRe: How We Ended Up In A Man Made River In Owerri(enugu To Owerri) by Onyegecha(f): 8:01am On Sep 30, 2014
Abagworo: For the interest of Igboland let us end this thread and stop smear campaigns of any sort. Okorocha has the right to become President and is probably the best Governor right now going by the number of years and the amount he receives as well as IGR generating capacity of his State. It does us no good to be searching for dirt in an old woman's loin cloth just because of political affiliation. It is best to either say the truth or lodge complaints where more is needed.
Abagworo, i thought you had repented. You are the one that should stop this base job of selling a DUMMY TO IMOLITES AND NIGERIANS. ROCHAS DOES NOT BELONG IN THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. So, please stop this worthless campaign of hate. Yes hate for the people because of a personal love for Rochas.
