A young and very intelligent man is about declaring for the position. His name is Alhaji (Dr) Tanko Yunusa from Kano State. If this young man is presented as the flag bearer of this coalition, Nigeria will come out of this mess in a jiffy. He approach to national issues is excellent and to crown it all, he is not up to 50 years. I'm not a politician but I so much enjoy listening to him on AIT and NTA. He is an epitome of intelligence and very fearless. He is currently the national chairman of National Conscience Party and I learnt he'll declare his presidential ambition by tomorrow being Monday. The best bet for Nigeria at this time is a young man that knows his onus because the older generation has disappointed us and there is no sign that things will get better with them at the helm of affairs. They always want to get there to protect their looted funds and to loot more funds.

Nigeria needs young and intelligent individual to lead this country to the promised land. If the president must come from the North, the most suited individual for that position is this vibrant youngman called Alhaji (Dr) Tanko Yunusa from Kano state. If we are tired of recycling old, analog politicians then our best bet is Alhaji (Dr) Tanko Yunusa. Please, for the records, I'm not a politician neither am I from the North. This young man is the present National Chairman of NCP, you need to listen to him on national issues and you'll agree with me that the young man is an embodiment of intelligence and seems to have the solution to every problem bedeviling the country.

A man identified as Chidi Okere has been arrested and placed in a police cell for allegedly duping his fiancee. According to lawyer and human rights activist, Emeka Ugwuonye, the man promised the lady marriage before borrowing money she kept for brother and then disappeared.

According to the report by Emeka, the fiancee begged him to return the money or to pledge to return the money. He refused. He played her. She begged him. He played her. She went to the police. He evaded arrest for a whole year before he was later arrested.

At the end of the it all balls down to earned allowances and other perks for ASUU members. Nonody cares about the Nigerian student its just pathetic.
I wonder what is great about the Nigerian student that we all keep shouting about?

It is not all about earned allowances only but there is no how ASUU will go on strike for the welfare of the students without their own welfare. They'll talk about their own and that of the university in general. The bulk of the money federal government released initially was for the university and not for the lecturers that's why we now have so many buildings in the universities funded by tetfund. This time, the federal government decided to cut the salaries of lecturers and I don't think that anyone will be happy to have his salary cut.

in almost all universities in Nigeria we have lecturers who wouldn't pass you except you 'sort' them. some openly threaten the girls , no sex- then expect a carry over. some are so sadistic that they tell you : regardless of what u write, they can't give you an A. if ASUU can sanitize their system, we won't have graduates who can't spell 'graduate'.

One of the reasons ASUU is still on strike is to sanitize the system and not necessarily to increase their salary. If the Federal Government implements all that is stipulated in the agreement then you'll have a conducive environment for your studies. The little you're seeing now in the universities is because of the recalcitrant position of ASUU if not so, students wouldn't have had any classroom for lectures. To put the records straight, ASUU frowns at the sale of handouts in the universities so if your school is still selling handout, please do well to tell us the name of the university. Another one is the issue of sexual harassment, ASUU also frowns at this so if any member of ASUU indulges in this, just report such one to the school authority with concrete evidence and be rest assured that proper sanction will be meted on such lecturer. ASUU should be encouraged to salvage the image of our universities

please can someone in house educate me a little, what part of Nigerian law did this man break that made his case so special? If he actually had sex with this lady, I don't think he offended anyone or violated any law of the land. The lady did not claim that he raped her so I don't know why all these heated arguments. If it is because he is a pastor, fine, he only offended God if actually he committed adultery so it is only God that should be concerned about the act and not any human. This is not a demonstration but riot. Many school properties were destroyed in the process. The students shouldn't have gone to this level. The implication is that the school authority may likely close down the school and ask the students to vacate the campus. When the school is re-opened the students would be made to pay for the damages and sign undertaking to be of good character and will still pay the stipulated fees. All these could have been averted if the students had allowed the SUG to engage the management.

Among the best students we graduated in my department in recent time one is a Yoruba boy and one is an Edo boy. We unanimously recommended for the appointment of the Edo boy as a graduate assistant and as I write this, the young man is about traveling to New Zealand for his PhD after finishing his masters degree under me within 18 months. The Yoruba boy is presently studying for his masters degree, one of us was even the one that purchased the masters form for him. We are still pushing to see if he can be appointed whenever there is opportunity. Based on the above-stated facts, can you still say that Ibos do not like the progress of other tribes.
