Good question but do we always have to wait for the government to do everything for us.

I mean if you examine America in the 1960s African Americans FOUGHT mercilessly for change. (Yes, many died) BUT we all (yes, including us Africans and other immigrants) are all enjoying at the work of their hands.

Take South Africa too (the aparthied movement) THE PEOPLE FOUGHT AND DEMANDED change.

The thing with Nigeria is that there is no sense of ownership on any side. No nationalism, nothing. So people have the common mentality that its everyone for themselves.

Change will happen when people DEMAND IT and somethings freedom comes with a price.
All this jive you are spittin is useless and you know it. So who will give us jobs since the gov't won't? Who will pay us since we won't depend on the gov't to give us our checks. Who will protect us from harm, since we won't depend on gov't owned police men for closure?

but honestly speaking - the governonr wants to help you people abroad by asking you to come home and become somebody? I ask you - what are you where you are? Flipping burgers? as graduates, traffic wardens, street sweepers, carers who wipe old peoples butts, security officials, or what other thing better are you? How many of you do very glorious jobs to be proud of? Jobs you can tell people at home in Nigeria and be happy about it? How many of you? Apart from saying Nigeria is rotten and so and so - we all know that - but in the same country - people buy cars and build houses on a daily basis - but where you are - all you spend and depend on is nothing but credit - but in Nigeria - people spend their hard earned cash - meaning they make the money -

so - my advice - all of you - stay put where you are and may God Almighty never make it possible for you to come back to the stupid country you left years ago.
Oka you need to hold on to your britches before you twist your zipper. You see i will paid more here than i will ever be paid in Nigeria. I have done the research. For that governor to tell us all to come home, is like what? Are you serious? It is like how can you tell us to come there when there are people begging to come here? Does that make any sense to you? Here i am paid rightful well for my services, don't have to worry about strikes or being stopped by armed robbers.

who needs them - let them rot where they are - they are goats.
Why so harsh nna? I mean seriously what good would it be to bring us all back to Nigeria? Will things magically change? Will the gov't change? Will there be jobs for us? Will we be paid for our jobs? Will there be a place to live? Can you answer any of these honestly?
RomanceRe: Meaning Of Love by onyinye2(f): 8:56pm On Aug 21, 2008
Love has no definition. To define and fully understand love, is to try and fully understand the ways of water. If you say love must be earned, then what about the unconditional love from our Savior? Do you think we all as sinners deserve that kind of love at all times? That is for you to answer.

Can you be more elaborate on what "things" here represents. Would you be okay with an 07 Range Rover, a penthouse in manhattan, yearly vacations in aruba or all you need is a place to call home and a love to call your own.
Those bribes that you listed above, those are nothing but empty gifts. Please those are the kind of things you do to bribe someone to stay with you basically. Mayne i don't need all that. It would be nice but it wouldn't make any comfortable. What i meant by "things", i mean by "stuff" given to me that truly means something.

but i would accept an 09 LINCOLN MKS.

@rotimy

The time i have spent away from you
Has made me question if our love is true

You say you love me over and over again
So then why is it pain I feel when it comes to day's end

The weeks away have been nothing but trials
How I missed to feel your touch and to see your smile

Memories flow in my thoughts with no shades
As quick as i want you, that feeling suddenly fades

Cause when i think of the good and love we have
I must remember the bad and the quarrels we had

A night cry myself to sleep on that bed alone
Dreaming you will call me on that forsaken phone

Only God knows the anguish i am feeling
All the truth and closure that i am seeking

Do you think of me when you sit alone on your own
Or has the image of me, disappeared in your zone

Has the time apart made you want me as a wife
Or has it made you wonder if you want me in your life

As I sit and wonder of true lovers' dream
And think if our marriage is really as horrible as it seems

OMG. so many scorned women in the house. you girls need to get something straight, you won't be the first to get used and you definitely won't be the last. People use people everyday, men use women, women use men, or what do you have to say for those university boyfriend's whose chicks carry aristo as if its a degree requirement. I don't see those boys going around trying to throw acid on them or whatever. You girls need to wake up and act like mature individuals, and calm your raging hormones. Instead of trying to destroy someone why not channel that energy into something more productive like making yourself a better person and eventually if you were really worth it, the betrayer would realize the value of what he lost.

Please, lets use our heads and refuse to give in to emotions.
Hmmm. . . . . Truly Questionable.

This is actually funny to me. Reminds me of a movie. . . . anyways. To tell you the truth means i gotta give you my diagnoses. It is obviously this man still got a hold on you and you still have feelings for him. Me. . . if a low timer had pulled that trick on me, to hell with his ass. I'll be there toasting marshmallows why he burns in fury. I aint got no time for scrubs. He want to treat me like dirt, screw you. I don't need you . There is better out there anyways. So all this planning and lurking you is doing. . . will feel good at the moment. But eventually you are going to see the pain you brought on him. . . and start to feel sorry for him. Which is dangerous cause you might end up taking him back. So if i were you, i would just leave. He aint worth your time of day. I should know.

Another thread of bashing Naija babes. Oka if you guys have so much problems with them, maka una go and date oyinbo, asians, middle eastern, latinos, or something. Jeez one broad does something wrong, and all of us get blamed for it. What hypocrisy.

My disclaimer:

I'm not materialistic. I just need to have certain "things" to be comfortable.
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by onyinye2(f): 3:57pm On Aug 21, 2008
Me return home for gini? What will me going to Nigeria help? Sorry i can visit but for me to actually live there, you got to be kidding me. Who is going to protect me from armed robbers? Not the corrupt police. That is for sure. Who is going to pay me for my rightful services? Not the gov't. That is for sure. I am better staying where i am, safe and prosperous then going to Nigeria where i won't be paid rightfully and have my life endangered. I rather stay here where things are more organized and just send money back home then actually put my life on the line and live there.

its funny to see how some ladies in the house didnt say anything about the generalization of GUYS here

@ topic

because some just talk yama-yama into your brains, nothing really relevant embarassed

especially on the phone at night when a negro is trying to get some sleep, thats when they want to talk for hours

"I'm so tired, lets chat" - if u are tired why not go to bed

"You can't beleive what happened at the salon today" - Thats for u and your girlfriend

They call u 3am in the morning "Are you sleeping?" Duh, even if im not. . . . .
Are you serious? This reminds me of the stuff i use to do when i was like 16. Are you sure this is a girl not a woman?

pardon us when u come bellowing for food, or that lost sock u need because we in our strive to please u, have suddenly lost the sense of hearing smiley
HELL YEAH!!! I use to think women gossip more. . . . nope it is guys. 89% of my friends are dudes and the things yal be saying is just like . . . . . "WHAT".
Seriously it is ridiculous.

That is a bold face lie right there and you know it. You don't know how many times i have been disturbed by you fellas when im watching my basketball. I mean can you wait till comercials or half time? Jeez. It is so freaking annoying. Btw, barely any body watches soccer in the States so that last comment was pretty irrelevant.
Because we easily get tired of our women yapping their mouth. I appeal to you women to shut up a little and stay calm, there are always spiritual mystics flowing in the air whenever the environment is serene. The bible advised us to go straight to sleep after sex and not talk talk talk.
An Appeal To My woman:
What will it cost a man for his woman to shut up for a minute? I'm ready to pay that price honey. grin grin
Oka watever!!!!! seriously what is with this generalizing? I mean c'mon. It depends on the kind of chic you have. Oka i have to admit there are times we ladies (esp. me) want to talk. You know express what we feeling instead of bottling it up inside. But there are times we know when to be quiet and enjoy the moment. The whole sex comment is all taboo.

Same goes to you fellas. When you your lady busy at the moment, don't come barging in asking for her to do something for you. Gosh how annoying that is. Especially when im watching basketball. I will curse you out if you even attempt to step up to me when im watch Lakers vs. Celtics, Hornets vs. Hawks, or Rockets vs. Suns. i will give you a piece of my mind.

Now that i think about it. . . . . being that majority of my friends are guys, 2. makes alot of sense. They like to be quiet and just sit back and savor the moment.

But then again i like silence too. . . . i rather sit outside and soak up the energy of the earth then an afternoon running my mouth.

This season goes straight to the Houston Rockets. Now that we got Artest on the team. . . . what wonders we can do. I also have hopes for the Chicago Bulls. Being that they got that great freshmen player resulting from the draft, i have alot of hopes for that team. I really wanna see how the Celtics come back acting. Will they have a big ego like the Pistons after they beat the Lakers, or will they come in humbly looking for their next win? Can't wait to find out.
