RichyBlacK: That's my point!
Movie buffs have some knowledge of what they're going to see before seeing it. For example, I can't go watch any chick-flick. I hate them, they disgust me, and I don't bother seeing any of them - just plain crap! Except a very few: Something's Gotta Give was briliant! Nwanne, o gini? What is with all these lies? You know good and well you would be the first one to go and watch Sex and The City. |

huxley: I did answer this on the other thread by way of another question. To my understanding, your phrasing of the question is silly and that is why I asked if you would allow your kids to believe in Santa or Fairies?
I understand where you want to head, but I will not give you my opinion until you realise why I think your question is silly. I don't see anything wrong with a kid believing in Santa. It is part of their child hood. See it as silly as you want to see it. |

huxley: Absolutely WRONG. We have control over religions. Many of the religions of the past are now dead precisely because we failed to preserve them and because new one have evolved to take their place. Just as Christianity/Islam did not exist 3000 years ago.
Many millions of people today have made a deliberate choice of NOT belonging to any religions, a very sensible choice I might add. So huxley when you have kids or if you choose, will you allow them to believe in God? |

KarmaMod: Try $11.50-$12.75. I suggest you look it up. Dark Knight is about to smash it. Internationally as well DAYUM!!! A movie ticket cost that much up North? Thank Goodness i live down South. Dark Knight watever, PLEASE, Titanic is WAY better. You can only watch Dark Knight once, then it loses its "zing". While you can watch Titanic, numerous times and still pray the ship doesn't sink. |

I just rather go see a movie without any opinion about it so i don't pay attention on Movie Critics. If i see a movie I don't like, i either leave or endure it. A movie ticket cost like what, 7.50 to 8 dollars? I can easily go see another movie. KarmaMod: Meh. Overrated nonsense and Dark Knight is about to destroy Titanic's record. THANK GOD
If Kate Winslet didnt have such a big ass, she and Leo would have been able to share that plank of wood. If anything she's a murderer
Abegi jare. romantic fluff. There is no way The Dark Knight will break Titanic's record. Titanic is an International movie. It is translated in 120 languages. The Dark Knight ke? I loved the movie, don't get me wrong in fact i watch that movie, Hancock and Wanted all on the same day and The Dark Knight was the Best. |

And no movie has come close to its sells yet From start to finish, heart throbbing I don't care how many times you watch, You still pray the boat doesn't sink. |

JeSoul: yeah classicly horrible! Some movies and stupid and come off funny, but this was plain stupid. Sorry. I dont know about you but that is one of my favorite movies, next to John Q. RichyBlacK: A true movie buff loves movies for too many reasons to walk out on any! However, movie buffs screen movies, to weed out the chaff before taking that glorious step of buying the ticket.
You don't make those kinds of mistakes - that's left to the starters to make.
What movie buffs do before going to the I-MAX: 1. Read the reviews from local papers or online joints 2. Actually see a preview of the movie (seeing the previews should be part of your DNA already!) 3. Call up your movie homies and ask them what they think of the movie (if two or more say "let's just wait for the DVD", just may consider fashieing the movie) 4. Choose a date to see it (opening night is preferable) 5. Buy tickets early for those gynomous blockbusters (The Lord of the Rings, Iron-Man, Spider-Man, The Dark Night, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.). Consider buying it online also. 6. Arrive early, support the local economy by buying expensive pop-corns and soda. 7. Get a seat, relax and savor the beauty of many hours of hard work by countless many artists, software developers, costume experts, sound engineers, etc. etc. etc.
Why would any self-respecting movie buff walk out on a movie? You are obviously cheap or really obsessive about movies. |

@post I'm getting the impression that you are what we call a "Microwave Christian"
You want us to "enlighten" you on the Word of God
Which really means us telling you and you taking it in
That is not how it works omo
You are going to have to take time to fully interpret
You are going to have to sit down and discipline yourself on reading the Bible.
You want all the answers and The Message to be served to you on a platter ASAP
But omo, you can't receive it that way |

Chrisbenogor: what is a doctrine, how do you follow God please enlighten us , how do you serve God? Before i answer these questions, are you a Christian? Chrisbenogor: (ii) We are saved by faith alone, not by good works. Good works will result in greater rewards in the afterlife but have no effect on getting save
When a person gets baptized his "original sin" is forgiven and God gives him some grace. This grace enables him to do good works. God appreciates the good works and rewards them with more grace.
Do they sound like the same thing to you? It depends on how YOU interpret it. |
