does anyone exect Jonathan to oppose the rebels, when the west supports them? Jonathan is scared of boko haram and is getting israelis to guard him.how then can he oppose the rebels who the west also support? |
naijaking1:you're the one shifting the topic. no one with a sane mind be they christians or muslims would support a group such as boko haram.the overwhelming majority of muslims do not support them.so you dont need to make it look as if they are significant or talk against anyone because of them.talking of how bad or shameful boko haram is is like singing to yourself.we all know. but we must diagnose the root of the problem and where and how it came about to be.that is exactly my aim of trying to read and analyse. |
naijaking1:so can you enlighten us why does america still maintain military bases all over the world and on every continent and in every body of water from the pacific to the indian ocean? for the same reasons that america needs those bases around the world, they surely also need a base in africa and in nigeria. the drone and tomahawk you are talking about do not come from mars to launch attacks.they are based somewhere thousands of miles away from america and very close to their intended targets.these military bases outside america make it possible for the americans to send their drones far away from america and launch attacks and carry out military and surveillance operations. again, please think before posting! |
naijaking1:feel free to believe what you like.many questions surrounding that israeli attack on the USS Liberty remain unanswered and shrouded. The BK bombed the UN building not the Israelis. Remember, somebody in the muslim north promised to make Nigeria ungovernable with violence unless GEJ handsover power to the north. Please address this issue and stop beating about the bush about conspiracy theories.and all that perfectly suits my reading that this could be the perfect timing for these foreigners to plot and jump in to take advantage of the situation.what you said does not discredit the possibility of what i earlier suggested. You make a mistake comparing MEND with BK, what natual resources are the BK fighting forthat even makes the entire boko haram issue more suspicious of a foreign hand manipulating things in nigeria. |
kcswat:if you do not know how to read, please do not reply to my post. thanks. |
let us also dont forget that during obasanjo's tenure, the americans wanted a military base in nigeria, close to the niger delta.the militancy in the niger delta was used as the excuse and justification for that base.obasanjo refused.the americans got their military base in benin republic and if i recall correctly, also in the small island nation sao tome and principe, which is very close to nigeria and off the nigerian coast. now that the niger delta did not work, they are using boko haram and the north to finger nigeria and make their experiments.soon we would be hearing again about foreign military base and the need for american and israeli militaries to have bases in nigeria.well, they already have one in aso rock.what a shame!!!!nigerians should oppose anything as such.obasanjo was strong enough to refuse, but jonathan is not as strong to reject the offer.he is already scared from boko haram and he is welcoming israeli terrorists thereby compromising nigeria's sovereignty. |
naijaking1:if my post made any sense to you,you should be able to tell how israeli and american intelligence work.when as you claim GEJ wanted to negotiate, boko haram blew it off,you should be able to reason that if boko haram is american/israeli made, then the attack on the UN was deliberate and was aimed at a purpose which israel/america wanted to achieve.this same israel have attacked and killed dozens of american soldiers in a bid/plot to bring in america into direct involvement in the 1967 middle east war known as the six days war.israel bombed the american USS Liberty in the mediterranean so the americans would think it was Egypt that attacked their war ship and bomb egypt to help israel win the war.if they can kill americans to execute a plot,do you think they will not do worse against nigerians to get what they want from nigeria? read about the USS Liberty: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Liberty_incident those you're refering to as "negotiate with terrorists" are nigerians.if Yaradua could end the niger delta militant crisis without seeking foreign force, then why cant jonathan end the problem in the north that boko haram is posing? this boko haram issue and the way the issue is becoming international and foreigners are interfering and the speed israel and america are jumping in should be viewed deeper than we see it. |
this is an uncalculated move by GEJ.it can least be described as a very grave mistake. what GEJ has done is no different from what Boko Haram is accused of.Boko Haram is accused of seeking training from external terrorist groups.GEJ has sought the help of a terrorist entity, know as ISRAEL.two wrongs do not make a right. GEJ is playing into the hands of boko haram.the majority of muslims in nigeria are opposed to the foolishness of boko haram.by recruiting israeli terrorist officers who kill innocent people at will, boko haram have gotten an own goal from jonathan.jonathan has scored against himself.no doubt, muslims the world over detest anything that got to do with israel for all its crimes it has committed against innocent muslims, and the lands it has occupied which belong to muslims.yet,we have some people in nigeria praising israel for fighting "terrorists",the victims of its land theft and crimes against humanity.this is shameful understanding some nigerians have.or maybe they think anything useful is alright even if it comes from the devil. i really hope GEJ can be lectured by some muslim leaders on how to deal with israel in order not to provoke the feelings of ordinary muslims who got nothing to do with boko haram.this is a wrong move by GEJ.you have just given boko haram another reason to spread chaos and confusion in the land.and that reason will play well into the heads of muslims.GEJ have simply told everyone he is with israel.you do not use a controversial party to end a controversy.if nigeria or GEJ need help against Boko Haram, that help should never come from israel.that should be in principle with the reality of nigeria as a divided nation and the dislike muslims have for israel.if you needed external help against boko haram,Nigeria could have gotten that from a strong and powerful muslim country like Turkey.Turkey also got wonderful experience from dealing with separatist movements and bombings by the Kurdish separatists.i would have suggested Iran, but i doubt iran would help because of sectarian reasons.iran is predominantly shia while boko haram looks salafists with a sunni color.so to avoid sectarian tension iran might not be ready to help.turkey is majority sunni and powerful.let jonathan seek help from a muslim country against boko haram which claims to be representing muslim interests.in that way,the overwhelming majority of muslims in nigeria will still be against boko haram in the absolute sense of opposition. also,if i may go further and add,i do not see it farfetched that boko haram is an american/israeli invention in nigeria to put nigeria in the front of their so called war on terror and then have a channel to enter into nigerian politics and have a playing ground to rip nigeria.boko haram is now the pretext through which israel and the usa are finding window into the nigerian political scene.so to america and israel, boko haram is their blessing.nigeria is one more "colony" added to their list that they will use and dump when everything eventually falls apart. i am calling on the president and well meaning nigerians to see the danger of exposing nigeria to external threats and political gimmicks played by the americans and israelis.we have the nigerian police and the nigerian army that should deal with boko haram.and the best way to do that is by educating the people up north on the threat boko haram poses against nigerians and the danger they are exposing nigeria to.boko haram can be dealt with in many ways, than by GEJ giving in to american/israeli interference to put nigeria in the main field of their war on terror.nigeria does not have terrorists and nigeria is not concerned about whatsoever scores and games america and israeli have in the middle east.they should leave nigeria alone and in peace.nigeria, other than the war of poverty, corruption and sometimes clashes caused by intolerance and ignorance, nigeria is peaceful and got nothing to do with terrorism. GEJ should better wake up and stop acting dumb playing into the hands of boko haram and selling himself cheaply to the israelis.that will do him more harm than good if he doesnt know.Jonath should not compromise on the sovereignty of the country.aside from provoking nigerians, the risks/dangers of bringing in foreigners are many. |
ALL THOSE THAT HAVE CONTRIBUTED SO FAR IN THIS THREAD ARE VERY DU.MB AND SLOW THINKERS WHO HAVE MISSED OUT THE POINT OF THE GIST ON WHY THE USA WANTS TO INTERVENE IN OUR POWER SECTOR! the reason why the USA is giving Nigeria "attention" and showing "concern" is 3 words:NUCLEAR NON-PROLIFERATION! read the entire article, and that is the only valid reason.the USA does not care if Nigeria can produce its electricity or not.they dont care how much power we are able to generate.they dont care whether our economy progresses or falls back.all they care about is for third world countries especially a country like Nigeria they feel suspicious towards should not acquire nuclear energy.this is the same USA that has thousands of nuclear war-heads and the only country to have actually used atomic bombs on Japan.this is the same USA that is itself benefitting from nuclear energy to run their economy and produce the huge amount of electricity from nuclear plants.the USA also does not care whether you intend to use nuclear plants for peaceful energy purpose or for producing weapons of mass destruction.they simply dont want you to get it and get there.they want us to be doomed to using petrol and kerosene forever even when our wells run dry.and believe me,even when they take over the power sector, that is if they do,we will still be lacking behind because you cannot expect the best from the USA.the best is always preserved for herself and her allies in Europe.only them deserve sophisticated technology including nuclear plants that produce huge amount of energy to run their economies.and if you want to attempt to develop yours, you're not allowed to do so.you will be accused of committing "treason" or sponsoring terrorists.they will even declare you a "rogue state". NIGERIA SHOULD BE VERY CAREFUL AND CAREFULLY STUDY EVERY WORD THE AMERICANS UTTER RELATING TO NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS.THEY ALWAYS HAVE DEEP MEANINGS AND THEY ARE VERY DECEPTIVE AND MANIPULATIVE.WE SHOULD ALWAYS ASK WHAT IS THE AMERICAN INTEREST FOR SHOWING INTEREST IN US.THEY ALWAYS HAVE THEIR WELL DRAFTED PLANS FOR EVERY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. |

when criminalizing homosexuality in africa, people need to know on what grounds homosexuality is being criminalized.most people who abhor homosexuality is based on religion.nigeria is not a religious state and it is not a tribal state where tradition dictates laws.so if nigeria is secular and democratic, then people must decide on what they want. i want to differ with the british PM because freedom and democracy can also be used to put a ban on homosexuality just as it can allow it in the west.freedom and democracy is not only in allowing freedom but also putting control.i think there is a need for a referendum on this issue.if the majority of people are fine with letting homosexuality be practiced in the bedrooms privately without incrimination, then good.but if the majority are against it,then that is also freedom to choose and homosexuality must be rejected.i see most of the posts in the forum are based on biase and sentiments.they are not being realistic in regards to legislating in a secular state. as regarding the act itself, there is no doubt about it that homosexuality is not the norm religious-wise and culturally.those who argue that God made homosexuals are arguing from the point that homosexuality is innate and natural.others think homosexuality is caused by environmental and human factors and not genes or nature.in either case,i strongly believe that punishing homosexuals for the act is not going to solve the problem but add to it.homosexuals will no doubt find ways to get free.i think for those who believe it is environmental, then those caught in the act should not be punished as criminals but should be rehabilitated and treated as sick patients who need medical attention.for those who think it is natural, there should be a referendum for people to accept it. whether it is viewed as natural or not has nothing to do with criminalizing it or de-criminalizing it.the basis for criminalizing it should be made known.religion and tradition say it is wrong.but nigeria is not a religious country.if you want to use religion to criminalize homosexuality then why cant the muslim also use religion to ban alcohol?or maybe stone people to death for adultery?if you cant stone someone to death for adultery, then why do you want to imprison or kill someone for homosexuality or even arrest the person? if we talk about religion, then other serious issues will come up.if we talk about democracy and freedom then urgent attention must be given to it.let a referendum hold.do not let hypocrites in parliament or senate debate the issue.they themselves who throw the bill out maybe homosexuals while denying others their freedom.i think the people should say yes or no. also we must know to what we are saying yes or no.are we opposing homosexuality as a social norm which should be respected and acceptable?or are we criminalzing it and those caught in it must be punished?are you tolerant of it as long as it remains in the bedrooms or do you want to tell people how to behave in their bedrooms?in nigeria practicing homosexuality whether in the bedroom or under a rock is a criminal offence and punishable.i know it is hard to catch people in their bedrooms but should it be a criminal offence?or we simply say there should be no public show of homosexuality?the decisions to make are too many and complicated. |
Man beheads uncle, machetes father in Imo On June 16, 2011 · In News By Chidi Nkwopora OWERRI — Imo State Police Command is currently trying to unearth the reasons a young man (names withheld) of Eziala Nguru, Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, allegedly beheaded his uncle, Emmanuel Ugo. Vanguard investigations revealed that the suspect had a heated argument last Thursday with the deceased over a yet-to-be ascertained issue. Midway into the argument, he ran into his room, brought out a sharp cutlass and, according to an eyewitness, beheaded his uncle. The same young man dealt severe cuts on his own father for allegedly daring to question him on why he killed his uncle. Sympathizers at the scene of the incident quickly rushed his father, who was bleeding profusely, to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention. When contacted on his mobile line, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Linus Nwaiwu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident but quickly added that he did not have details of the incident. He said: “The suspect has been arrested. I do not have details of the ugly incident now but the police is already investigating the serious crime. “The law will definitely take its full course at the end of police investigation.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/06/man-beheads-uncle-machetes-father-in-imo/ |
Iysayah:a disintegrated nigeria would mean a smaller and less powerful and influential nigeria that can be easily dominated and its wealth would be up for grabs. |
Nigerians be smart and beware. the north is full of muslims and it is muslims that these un-islamic boko haram has being targetting and killing.i doubt how someone who claims to be northerner and muslim can kill fellow notherners and fellow muslims.that does not make sense to me.there is something fishy here! Nigerians be smart enough to realize that boko haram can be the invention of the CIA and the mossad.if you're well informed you will not ask how can americans support and nurture an "islamist" group.the CIA nurtured the "mujahideen" and Bin Laden in afghanistan to fight the soviets.they created bin laden and made him rise to who he was and what he became known for.later when he turned to bite the hand that fed him,his tongue was cut-off in the name of the same terrorism they taught him. the same americans have given a deadline of 2015 for the disintegration of nigeria as one entity.this is the time nigerians must be wise and read very carefully between the lines.something dirty from the outside is being brewed for Nigeria.the west led by america have plans for nigeria.suddenly a foolish group that started as a movement against western education (a move that islamically does not even make sense since islam teaches its adherents to gain knowledge) is rising to fame as a force to reckon with.you can see that the words of this group is now source of news for western medias.the western media would be used to execute the plan if this group is a CIA invention. they have a group in the north causing mayhem and panic and they also have ways to make the south ungovernable.i do not see the reason why any northerner would want to make nigeria "ungovernable" by spreading chaos in his own backyard and against his own people.those words are not issued from the balls of boko haram.those words are bigger than boko haram.someone big outside nigeria must be pushing them to say these things with heavy money being put into play. these are my 2 cents from what ive read so far and observed.i may be right 100% or i maybe wrong 100%.lets be careful.dont jump into conclusions.these are times we should be united and prove the 2015 deadline wrong and dead.otherwise we will suffer for it to execute the plans of the foreigners.our lives and properties and our country will waste if we are not careful and united in these difficult times. |
it does not need any babalao to tell us that this boy never wanted to die.this boy either loves life, was unsure, misled or stupid. i surely believe that someone with explosives in a plane could have downed the plane easily.but he obviously hesitated for whatever reason which led to his failure to execute his task.the fact is the boy was unsure if he wanted to die.or maybe he simply wanted fame.lol |
many would say politicians are thieves.i do not want to either add to or reduce from that statement. i just want to make one important point.personally,i have no problem if politicians in any country be it Nigeria or any other "3rd world" country steal as they do best and we have no choice about the matter.let them steal as we can do nothing about it.i know for sure they cannot consume all the money they steal.they can only gain more influence.and if smart men do have more influence that should make the country better. i only want one favor from the smart thieves/politicians: please when and if they do steal billions, they should not smuggle the money out of Nigeria.if we need to scrap EFCC so that they will keep/invest their money in Nigeria, let that be!let the money sleep in Nigerian banks and let the Nigerian banks have more foreign exchange/reserves.in that way,our economy would be stronger and there can be more jobs.if you smuggle your money out of nigeria, those foreign countries will enjoy your money and they will have stronger economies in europe and america while nigerians will continue to suffer.also note that those former colonial masters are willing at any point in time to freeze bank accounts of so called "third world" leaders as they have done with Mubarak and Qaddafi without notice.that ofcourse means the colonial masters will continue to enslave us by stealing our money through our own hands.the only difference is that this time around we are providing them the money to buy rope to tie round our necks. no one should think i'm in support of theft.i am only trying to convince the thieves to rescue all of us including themselves and the country from which they stole and would like to keep stealing from.they should simply not steal from nigeria and store the money in foreign countries and make the economies of the foreign counties better and stronger.take a country like switzerland and compare it to nigeria.you will feel like crying.if anyone must steal from nigeria, the money must be kept/invested in nigeria.the same goes for other "3rd world countries" with foolish leaders.for all those accusing Tinubu of corruption,i think Tinubu should be praised if he is investing/keeping his money in Nigeria instead of investing and keeping the money in europe and america. |
virgin nigeria-while descending, the pilot in one instance made the plane to descend in a way that it felt like a stone was being pulled down by gravity.even a child screamed at the feeling. bellview-turbulence from bad weather.the pilot was an id.iot.i was more than ever sure i was going to die.i was holding the seat "not to fall", lol you could really feel the wind was incharge and not the pilot. |
dasa:i dont think any oil producing country needs to beg america or any country to buy its oil.oil is not charcoal or peanuts.america has fought wars for the sake of oil. and does it make sense that our president must explain to another president why he thinks a bill must be passed in Nigeria?that is so humiliating if you're right.when would obama or any foreign president explain to Nigeria why a bill must be passed in their country?not even fellow west african/ecowas presidents would do that. |
what is Jonathan going to do in washington other than to take orders from obama on america's expectations? even the timing of the visit says something.we should be very careful and know that the americans have plans for Nigeria.the visit is barely a month after the inauguration of Jonathan.Jonathan is visiting to take orders.like i said,we should be careful and watch what this visit will produce.we should expect more bad times to come from it for Nigeria. |
