I mean this.... All you Christians who go to church to operate their phones, and post on nairaland, facebook and even whatsapp, rather than pay attention, i was told to tell you an Angel will give you a heavy Knock today.... Say Amen!!! |
I sat jejely in my room watching Game of thrones season 2 and someone asked this question! Who killed the traitor? The king gave the orders, the executioner beheaded the warrior, the swordsmith prepared the sword used... who killed him ![]() Thinking through that riddle brought my mind to our dear country Nigeria!!! We have great swordsmith who make fine swords and yet never have to use them... We keep cheering while the king gives orders. He determines who is the traitor and who is not. If it seem good to the swordsmith he cheers, if it doesn't, he withdraws back to his abode, nothing has been done cos nothing can be done, that's him for you. His desire is to make swords and nothing more. This swords are used to conquer kingdoms, displace enemies, persuade friends, abase slaves, and make rule, yet the swordsmith who is the maker of such great weapon knows no use of it... Our politicians, the authoritative Kings, their Allies the executioners, and the masses of which comprises our youths are the swordsmith. Just there to make the swords which gives power to the king..... Never knowing the true power of the swords they make. Sometimes they even never wanna know. They just rant at the kings decision in their folly' whether good or bad they seem helpless, like fools they pursue immediate gratification for the swords they make, in penny are they paid, yet they jubilate home today's meal has been met. This swords are used to control them, they are humiliated when they tend to speak, they have no say, afterall they just sold their weapon for a penny "The Sword"... The king would continue to utilize somuch of these powers until the swordsmith realise when to give out their swords, and when to withdraw same. Until they know how much power they posses, they will keep being puppets and slaves. And a common man in Nigeria is a slave, mentally, physically, financially, somehow someone is enslaved. We'll get our swords back, but i don't know when, seeing some people talk, we know its gonna be a long wait! These are men that are blind, politically bigoted, if its not APC it is bad, if its not PDP it can't be good. They are ethnically lackluster, if its not YORUBA's it is inferior, If its not IGBO's it is inconsequential. Until we get out of this platform and use our brains for once, we'll still be just a mere swordsmith. We'll get our swords back, we'll get things right someday, the masses will rise up and it will not be because of a party, nor because of a tribe, we'll rise up as Nigerians and say enough is enough. I hope for a country, were men will not be judged by their tribe, party, nor their affiliation but by there impeccable record of excellence and integrity, and i only hope it is in my time... Godbless Nigeria |

chuna1985:You're right. No plan for that city... Its just like as the city keeps developing we keep planning style. No foresight nothing. |
Ugomba:And you think Ogun would allow that to happen ![]() |
oduastates:Overrated ![]() |
alaoeri:Its really an expensive slum. Stayed in my brothers place at Bariga and when i heard how much he is paying in a three bedroom flat situated in one dirty environment i couldn't help but shake my head. What a waste. No wonder many people work to service bills... Most times lil to show for it Its well |
Antoinne:Yes. That is very correct. If not for the lack of foresight by our government both past and present, this shouldn't have been an issue by now. A whole country has just few major city; Abuja, Lagos, Portharcout, Kano etc..... Just these hand few. This is so wrong... By now we should have several cities housing several companies and known for something hence their attractions. Create access road and give citizens reasons to go there, if the job is available they will. Its pathetic that our government is more concerned abt money.... hmmmm |
This is a personal opinion and not a meal for tribal bigots to feed on. I have reasons to always travel down to Lagos for one thing or another. My most recent trip was last weekend. Looking at the streets in Lagos, i thought to myself, Lagos is overrated. Went through Apapa and the number of Okada on that road is more than the number of human staying there. Hundreds of trailers are packed on the already bad roads making it not motorable. Its was so bad. I spoke with one of the trailer drivers, he said there is no other provisions made for them to park by the government even with their relevance to the Port located there. I went through Bariga, the humans on the road would soon start lapping each other just to enable them walk. People were packed like sarden. I went to several other places, Agege, Amhadiya, Ojuelegba etc MY THOUGHTS: These acts made me think deeply. Very soon Lagos is going to be so packed that people will start struggling literarily. Why? 70% of the Jobs in Nigeria are in Lagos. Looking into vacancies, all you see is Lagos. It makes me wonder if we don't have government with sense? The ideal thing a government should be focused on is developing other cities. Move some offices, agencies, companies and government bodies to other cities. This will help develop other cities and decongest Lagos. Our government as a matter of responsibility should have future plans as daily people keep migrating to Lagos all because of jobs and greener pastures. Read of the Niger deltans protesting of the proposed plan to site their oil ish in Lagos again!!! I think Lagos is overrated all because if the lack of planning by the government... and with the way things are going, its effect would be of no small consequences... Positive critism is welcomed! |
