please what do you think is the fate of people holding Dubai visa before this pandemic made them suspensed it prior to even traveling down . I have their visa that's why I am asking. please do you know ?

Wait for UAE government directives on it.

But based on the increasing crimes committed lately by Africans in UAE, we are hearing there might be change in the process of issuance of visas to Africans. It will definitely not be as easy as it used to be.

Wait Till Then...

But I do see alot of agencies advertising 400k trips to dubai flight inclusive

This price must have been before Covid-19 pandemic. Current price would be way higher than this figure, since air tickets are very expensive now among other things.

The agencies always know how to get their things done at a cheaper rate, for example, they book cheap tickets ahead of time with discounts, you will have a shared hotel room, shared transportation to your tourist's centres etc.

They always have Executive(for the rich), Premium (business class) and General(economy) offers.

The more the population for them the cheaper it becomes. But if you want to come to Dubai all alone, you spend more.

You can book with Emirates Airline, they will process your Visa and flight together.

The initial Visa fee I quoted was for 3-months Visa.

Can 350k take me to dubai and back for a week?

No.

The Visa should cost you around 90k
Return ticket between 280 to 350k
Your upkeep for one week 100 to 200k depending on type of accommodation(hotel or private bed space), feeding, transportation, tourist's attractions you want to visit etc.

Travel / Re: 800k A Month: Should I Travel To Canada? by Ope4Christ: 10:49am On May 25, 2020
It depends on what you want. Having 800k monthly income in Nigeria is a very good level of income but what about other indices that make one's life comfortable. Such include: access to good healthcare, job security, good income, seren environment, good education and future of your children, opportunity to bring your siblings and parents to Canada in the future, opportunity to own a Canadian passport that would make you to travel to over 150 countries visa-free among others.

Sit down as a man, count your cost and take appropriate decision.

However your expenses may look in Canada, the overall advantages you tend to get in Canada outweighs any advantage your 800k job in Nigeria can afford you.

If I were in your shoes I would find my way to Canada immediately.

No, it is not. You have to process your Visa the normal way if they have embassy in Nigeria.

However, it can be Visa on arrival if you have Resident Permit of most Developed Economies.

Did you do card profiling before you traveled?
Find a uba contact and call them or go through mails. I did mine hoping to be back to naija April ending, card was locked again. I had to update it again.
If you didn't profile your card, it may not be activated for withdrawals.
Is it even better? I got 1k aed, UBA charged 120k naira. That's not a fair deal anyway.

Thank you for shedding more light on this issue. When we talk from experience they would not listen but rather choose to type what they like without proper verification.

I tried to give the best solution to someone's problem he came to type what he wanted.

Using Nigerian bank MasterCard for online/international transaction while in Nigeria will never give you issue but using it outside Nigeria without informing your bank will definitely give you challenges.

Be informed.

Is the school in UAE? If yes.

You have a good program but no one can guarantee job placement. You need to speak to your admission officer about your fears he/she should help you.

All the best.

Please i need help

You should have informed your bank before you left Nigeria to activate it for international transactions. Is the card MasterCard or Verve?

The only solution is for you to download UBA App on playstore then fill in your details with pin. This will allow you to transfer to someone's account in exchange for Dirhams. That's what I did in Dubai four days ago.

Good morning guys, did anyone encounter this issue of university entrance qualification when applying to the University of Hohenheim? It says it mus be between 0 and 999

Most Nigerian universities use 5-point scale system. Type your final CGPA e.g 3.96 and you are fine. I did same and scaled through.

But be aware that this University has RESTRICTED ADMISSION for non-Germans. Try to apply to as many universities as possible.

I remember when I was trying to get a tourist visa and I had to comb through this thread to gather as much info as I could. Great to say it ended up being easier than I thought cos' I already had a rough idea of what to expect.

However, I am now a resident in UAE and I was able to get the residency visa myself without any help from an agent. I have summarised the process on this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/5842085/how-got-uae-residence-permit

You can also check it out if you want to have an average idea of how to get a residence visa in UAE all by yourself.

Thanks to everyone that has dropped useful information on this thread in the past, only God can reward you.

Nice work on your YouTube channel. I went through the same process and also got mine as well.

The process is straightforward in as much as you have money and meet the requirements.

Bro. Just because ur agent played a ticktaka on you doesnt mean there isnt a real employment visa package. Infact 2 people close to me and a nairalander on these thread went through employment visa from nigeria and everything was stated as it is on there employment visa which was stamped and signed before there visa came out. Dont always believe there are no real employment packages. There is and only for those who sabi correct link. Although, it might be costly but still worth it.

1. Did I tell you that an agent played a 'ticktaka' on me?
2. Did I say that there is no direct employment visa?
3. Can you have a direct employment visa through a company without having access to communicate with that company? How did you get employed by the company in the first place?
4. Why did you jumped into a matter without understanding the PARTICULAR ISSUE at hand?

I answered @Arisukuni base on THE SENARIO HE PAINTED and he CLEARLY AGREED that I was saying the truth. So, why are you bothered?

I have a piece of advice for you. Do not always believe everything the people 'close to you' tell you about traveling abroad until you have experienced it by yourself. Most (not all) will give you half baked information to boost their ego and you will depend on them without thorough investigation.

Go through my comments on this thread and see GENUINE INFORMATION I have given to help my fellow Nigerians. This is because I discovered the suffering Africans (especially Nigerians) go through here because of lack of information. They are being duped and dumped by your so called agent/link. This is not the same with Asians(Indians, Pakistans, Filipinoes, etc) and other Europeans. Which is why I have offered myself to help in every possible way I can.

There are real employment packages ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH YOUR WOULD-BE EMPLOYER, not through your agent. This is almost impossible for any Nigerian to get because the company will bear the cost from scratch to finish. Then, how many companies in UAE can trust skilled Nigerians over Westerners(Americans, Australians, Europeans) and few Asians to spend so much on. Except in few semi-skilled labour like security officer, experienced mechanics etc. But few Nigerians that enjoyed this in the past abused the opportunity therefore, making it difficult for others. However, it is allowed for an agent to use a company's name to do Direct Employment Visa for people based on the agreement between the agent and the company, BUT THE AGENT WOULD NEVER GIVE YOU THE CONTACT(phone number or email address) OF THE COMPANY.

Bro, you are still in Nigeria you will not understand until you get here.

I wish you all the best.

Thanks for your response brother. Well I wouldn't wanna argue with you because I know you know more than I do with experiences you already have in UAE while am still here in Nigeria.
I already have employment bro, I signed and thumbprint an Employment offer issued by the Ministry of Labour, its a security company. We will go for SIRA TRAINING and do medical before posting. I think the SIRA training fee is inclusive what they charge. I even have my Labour card approval self. I confirmed and verified all these documents from the website of MOL. In the employment offer my salary was stated, and it includes accommodation and transportation. I also tried my best to do some research i chatted the number on the employment offer letter the person responded, he is like a PRO for the company he said what he does is preparing offer letter for the company, so i told him to help me get the number of someone i could contact from the company so managed to give me someone number that partner with the company. But the man was forming big man he didnt reply my messages, then i now remember some of this company don't communicate with individual they only talk to registered Agency recruiting for them. My friend working as a security in Dubai was also scared of me not to be dumped, until I sent him my Labour Approval that carries my photo even with that he was not convinced cus he thinks it can be photo shop until he now showed his Supervisor at work to confirm then he now said its genuine.

When I was coming to UAE I had every document you claimed to have as well.

TAKE YOUR MIND OFF THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE A JOB ALREADY. Your agent cannot bring you in without using a company, hence, he is using the security company. You will understand better when you arrive in UAE. There are some truths your agent won't tell you until you arrive. But in other to give you a safe landing that is why I am giving you AUTHENTIC INFORMATION.

If the Security Company were the one that employed you directly, you will have access to communicate with them. The 'likely PRO' you claimed to have spoken to is a friend of your agent. Only HR officer can communicate on employment related issues and you will have access to their official email address and phone number.

I have not told you that he did FAKE documents for you. But when you arrive and it comes out that you have a job as you claimed, GOOD LUCK TO YOU.

Take care.

Someone like us that already have employment with the company, my Employment Visa is already been processed by the company. The week the Employment Visa was suppose to be out is when they suspended suspended Visa issuance. So someone like me when the corona ends do you think I would have issue getting my Employment Visa Though I can't communicate with my company directly my agent has been the one talking to me and what he said so far is no problem. I even Thank God it was not out before then, cus they will cancel my visa and I may have to pay for another one.

Firstly, It is your agent that is doing the Visa not the company. He is only using the company name to process your Visa which is the norm. YOU DON'T HAVE ANY EMPLOYMENT YET. You will not have any issue inasmuch as the company has agreed to the usage of their company name to process your Visa.

Secondly, be ready to prepare for three months upkeep (bed space, feeding, transportation, job fees etc) before leaving Nigeria.

Wish you all the best.

Help me out!
I have an agent who said I don't need to attest my result and am BSc holder which I wish to work with my certificate to save my stress
Can I go there with my results?
Will it be useful there without attesting it here?
I will appreciate your concern

To be honest with you, forget about UAE for now. Your agent is already starved for money during the lockdown, he only wants to collect your money and add you to the list of those who are already lamenting by promising you paradise in UAE.

There is economic downturn due to corona virus issue across the globe, coming to UAE at the moment is not encouraging. Several thousands of people in UAE lost their jobs, while others have not been paid salaries since March and there is no hope in sight. I know several people who are already planning on returning to Nigeria. If not that Nigerian government added that costs of repatriation are to be borne by individuals, several thousands of Nigerians would have returned home during this lockdown.

It will take a while before the economy pick up. But if you will not adhere to pieces of advice on this thread, you are free to take your decision.

Is it possible one gets a call center job in Dubai after authenticating his certificate?

Probably not if you don't understand Arabic language. There are some jobs that the addition of Arabic to your English language will give you a stroll in the pack they include call centre, customer care, front desk officer, public relations officer, marketers etc. I have not said you can't get a job as a call centre agent without Arabic but your chances are extremely limited.

Authentication of certificates is one thing but having the requirements for a job which will enable you to perform your duty is more important.

I will advise you to forget about UAE for now or forever and plan your way to European or American countries. This is your best bet. UAE is no longer as it used to be.

None.

Every other menial jobs like cleaners, maid, waiter/waitress, packers, construction assistants etc pay between 750 to 1200 Dirhams monthly since they are likely going to give you accommodation. But if accommodation is not given, the salary might increase a bit.

Few technical jobs like drivers, tillers, mechanics, sales attendants etc can earn between 1000 to 2500 Dirhams monthly.

Graduates who have authenticated their certificates like Admin officer, Teachers, Assistant HR, Accountants, Nurses etc can earn between 2500 and 4000 Dirhams monthly. It could be a little bit higher or lesser depending on experience and the type of organisation you work

Please what is the process of authenticating one's certificate?

SIRA training centre is in Dubai. You organise how to sleep in Dubai for the 5days duration. I think it's Sunday to Thursday. That should be after corona of course.
If a security company will help you like Ope suggested, they'll send you there but will collect the money from you.

Good suggestion.

Don't raise your hope too high. That's the likely average salary you will get. Autocad designer, safety course are under technical category.

And am i guaranteed a security guard job for possessing SIRA certificate?

Where can i enroll since i live in Ras Al Khaimah?

Your answers are very important to me please,

1. Register and go for training.

2. Life itself is not guaranteed. SIRA is only a requirement for security jobs and does not guarantee that you will get a job.

3. Go to genuine security company around your area they will help you.
