Rexnegro: Wait for UAE government directives on it. But based on the increasing crimes committed lately by Africans in UAE, we are hearing there might be change in the process of issuance of visas to Africans. It will definitely not be as easy as it used to be. Wait Till Then... |

Casserole: This price must have been before Covid-19 pandemic. Current price would be way higher than this figure, since air tickets are very expensive now among other things. The agencies always know how to get their things done at a cheaper rate, for example, they book cheap tickets ahead of time with discounts, you will have a shared hotel room, shared transportation to your tourist's centres etc. They always have Executive(for the rich), Premium (business class) and General(economy) offers. The more the population for them the cheaper it becomes. But if you want to come to Dubai all alone, you spend more. You can book with Emirates Airline, they will process your Visa and flight together. The initial Visa fee I quoted was for 3-months Visa. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Travel / Re: 800k A Month: Should I Travel To Canada? by Ope4Christ: 10:49am On May 25, 2020 |
It depends on what you want. Having 800k monthly income in Nigeria is a very good level of income but what about other indices that make one's life comfortable. Such include: access to good healthcare, job security, good income, seren environment, good education and future of your children, opportunity to bring your siblings and parents to Canada in the future, opportunity to own a Canadian passport that would make you to travel to over 150 countries visa-free among others. Sit down as a man, count your cost and take appropriate decision. However your expenses may look in Canada, the overall advantages you tend to get in Canada outweighs any advantage your 800k job in Nigeria can afford you. If I were in your shoes I would find my way to Canada immediately. 19 Likes |

No, it is not. You have to process your Visa the normal way if they have embassy in Nigeria. However, it can be Visa on arrival if you have Resident Permit of most Developed Economies. |

Timtim8989: Thank you for shedding more light on this issue. When we talk from experience they would not listen but rather choose to type what they like without proper verification. I tried to give the best solution to someone's problem he came to type what he wanted. Using Nigerian bank MasterCard for online/international transaction while in Nigeria will never give you issue but using it outside Nigeria without informing your bank will definitely give you challenges. Be informed. 4 Likes 1 Share |

clinton21: You should have informed your bank before you left Nigeria to activate it for international transactions. Is the card MasterCard or Verve? The only solution is for you to download UBA App on playstore then fill in your details with pin. This will allow you to transfer to someone's account in exchange for Dirhams. That's what I did in Dubai four days ago. 4 Likes |

Incognit0: Most Nigerian universities use 5-point scale system. Type your final CGPA e.g 3.96 and you are fine. I did same and scaled through. But be aware that this University has RESTRICTED ADMISSION for non-Germans. Try to apply to as many universities as possible. |

slimanyd: 1. Did I tell you that an agent played a 'ticktaka' on me? 2. Did I say that there is no direct employment visa? 3. Can you have a direct employment visa through a company without having access to communicate with that company? How did you get employed by the company in the first place? 4. Why did you jumped into a matter without understanding the PARTICULAR ISSUE at hand? I answered @Arisukuni base on THE SENARIO HE PAINTED and he CLEARLY AGREED that I was saying the truth. So, why are you bothered? I have a piece of advice for you. Do not always believe everything the people 'close to you' tell you about traveling abroad until you have experienced it by yourself. Most (not all) will give you half baked information to boost their ego and you will depend on them without thorough investigation. Go through my comments on this thread and see GENUINE INFORMATION I have given to help my fellow Nigerians. This is because I discovered the suffering Africans (especially Nigerians) go through here because of lack of information. They are being duped and dumped by your so called agent/link. This is not the same with Asians(Indians, Pakistans, Filipinoes, etc) and other Europeans. Which is why I have offered myself to help in every possible way I can. There are real employment packages ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE DIRECT CONTACT WITH YOUR WOULD-BE EMPLOYER, not through your agent. This is almost impossible for any Nigerian to get because the company will bear the cost from scratch to finish. Then, how many companies in UAE can trust skilled Nigerians over Westerners(Americans, Australians, Europeans) and few Asians to spend so much on. Except in few semi-skilled labour like security officer, experienced mechanics etc. But few Nigerians that enjoyed this in the past abused the opportunity therefore, making it difficult for others. However, it is allowed for an agent to use a company's name to do Direct Employment Visa for people based on the agreement between the agent and the company, BUT THE AGENT WOULD NEVER GIVE YOU THE CONTACT(phone number or email address) OF THE COMPANY. Bro, you are still in Nigeria you will not understand until you get here. I wish you all the best. 8 Likes |

Arisukuni: When I was coming to UAE I had every document you claimed to have as well. TAKE YOUR MIND OFF THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE A JOB ALREADY. Your agent cannot bring you in without using a company, hence, he is using the security company. You will understand better when you arrive in UAE. There are some truths your agent won't tell you until you arrive. But in other to give you a safe landing that is why I am giving you AUTHENTIC INFORMATION. If the Security Company were the one that employed you directly, you will have access to communicate with them. The 'likely PRO' you claimed to have spoken to is a friend of your agent. Only HR officer can communicate on employment related issues and you will have access to their official email address and phone number. I have not told you that he did FAKE documents for you. But when you arrive and it comes out that you have a job as you claimed, GOOD LUCK TO YOU. Take care. 4 Likes |

Arisukuni: Firstly, It is your agent that is doing the Visa not the company. He is only using the company name to process your Visa which is the norm. YOU DON'T HAVE ANY EMPLOYMENT YET. You will not have any issue inasmuch as the company has agreed to the usage of their company name to process your Visa. Secondly, be ready to prepare for three months upkeep (bed space, feeding, transportation, job fees etc) before leaving Nigeria. Wish you all the best. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Latrezz: To be honest with you, forget about UAE for now. Your agent is already starved for money during the lockdown, he only wants to collect your money and add you to the list of those who are already lamenting by promising you paradise in UAE. There is economic downturn due to corona virus issue across the globe, coming to UAE at the moment is not encouraging. Several thousands of people in UAE lost their jobs, while others have not been paid salaries since March and there is no hope in sight. I know several people who are already planning on returning to Nigeria. If not that Nigerian government added that costs of repatriation are to be borne by individuals, several thousands of Nigerians would have returned home during this lockdown. It will take a while before the economy pick up. But if you will not adhere to pieces of advice on this thread, you are free to take your decision. 5 Likes |

josejay: Probably not if you don't understand Arabic language. There are some jobs that the addition of Arabic to your English language will give you a stroll in the pack they include call centre, customer care, front desk officer, public relations officer, marketers etc. I have not said you can't get a job as a call centre agent without Arabic but your chances are extremely limited. Authentication of certificates is one thing but having the requirements for a job which will enable you to perform your duty is more important. I will advise you to forget about UAE for now or forever and plan your way to European or American countries. This is your best bet. UAE is no longer as it used to be. 2 Likes |

odalonu12: I have only given you an average salary scale and I also wrote it that it could be MORE or LESS depending on experience and type of organisation. Don't raise your hope too high. That's the likely average salary you will get. Autocad designer, safety course are under technical category. DISCLAIMER: I am not the HR of any company. odalonu12: None. Every other menial jobs like cleaners, maid, waiter/waitress, packers, construction assistants etc pay between 750 to 1200 Dirhams monthly since they are likely going to give you accommodation. But if accommodation is not given, the salary might increase a bit. Few technical jobs like drivers, tillers, mechanics, sales attendants etc can earn between 1000 to 2500 Dirhams monthly. Graduates who have authenticated their certificates like Admin officer, Teachers, Assistant HR, Accountants, Nurses etc can earn between 2500 and 4000 Dirhams monthly. It could be a little bit higher or lesser depending on experience and the type of organisation you work with. |
