Hey brother!

I really appreciate your response.

The truth of the matter is used an agent who is in UAE, am in Nigeria . From the beginning of the process till the offer letter was sent everything was genuine because I used all the necessary resources to verify the authenticity of the employment. It was when I was supposed to get my Employment Visa, verify it before paying my agent the balance that was when the ban was placed.

So far I have paid a certain amount to the agent which is half of the money he charged. I hope you know what that means bro? I already invested in it. Though recently I talked to the agent he told me there is no problem that is just the Employment Visa delaying which is true. But because I don't have access to the company's contact or how to contact the HR directly that's why am asking for opinions here. Because I wish to hear directly from the company to know what their decision is and I don't know the best way to ask for the company's contact address of the HR or whatsoever from the agent.

From your explanation it showed the agent is doing freelance Visa for you and you are expected to pay a million plus naira. The agent is only using the company information to bring you to UAE which is normal. The company DOES NOT HAVE ANY OBLIGATION whatsoever to bring you in, but your agent. You CAN NEVER have direct access to the company. In this wise, go and relax yourself until the end of corona before anything can be done. Don't pay money to your agent again until your Work Permit Visa is issued.

Sorry for your situation and the money spent so far. Take your mind off it if you don't want to give yourself hypertension. Let the situation calm down and wait for UAE government decision then further actions can be taken.

Hello My Lovely friends!

My Employment Visa was about to be issued when they suspended Visa issuance on March 17.

Please my questions is: No matter how long this Pandemic might take would it affect my Employment offer or will my Employment be cancelled

As this pandemic is going we don't know when it will come to end we are just been hopeful and optimistic it will end soonest. But for someone like me that already has an Employment offer but awaiting Employment Visa, what's my hope? Do you think the duration of this Pandemic lockdown should affect my current employment offer with my company in UAE.

Please I need you guys opinions on this.

Thanks very much as I await your responses.

I don't think anyone can give better answer to your questions than your would-be employer. Get in touch with the HR he/she will tell you the decision of the management which will answer all your questions.

However, you can have plan B by searching for another job the way you did for the first one should there be any change of decision by the company that gave you the current offer.

Wish you all the best.

Thank you, But it says expressly that the caregiver pathway allows to bring in family at the first instance.

My question has to do with POF for accompanying family members.

There are so many reasons why VO will deny anyone visa especially Nigerians, even if the law allows you to bring your family. That's why I try to educate you to use the best option as advised above. Everyone will always prefer to travel with his/her family but being a Nigerian complicate issue except if it is through Express Entry.

Anyway, you may hold above 20k Canadian Dollars as you try your luck.

What is the proof of funds for this pathway?
I know it says Proof of funds is not required, but what if I have 5 dependents to accompany me, a spouse and 4 children, and I am on a salary of 14 cad per hour, will immigration allow me in with no proof of funds to take care of all the dependents accompanying me?

No they won't even give you the visa in the first place.

You don't need to come with your family at first. Wait for a year or two when you are qualified for PR then you include your spouse and children. They will all be entitled to PR automatically by then. This is the best option for you.

Also an agent I met online is claiming he can secure me a 2-year work visa in Germany. So I can have more time to search and buy goods for colleague in Nigeria while working on the side.

He claims this means will reduce my cost of accommodation, as he claims the company will send me invite and provide accommodation.

I've been to German embassy website, can't find such visa type.

Really don't know if he is a fraudster.

He sent me this below.

Run for your life. There's no agent that is allowed to process German visa. If you are qualified and have enough money to do business, go and process it by yourself. They are straightforward and want business oriented people like you to come and do business in Germany. Go to German consulate website in Nigeria and get the necessary information.

It is unfortunate but you have to accept reality. Do the following:

1. Go and open your ticket at your airline.
2. Wait till further notice.
3. Get your mind off traveling for now but concentrate on what you are currently doing in Nigeria.
4. Get skill or training that might help you in the meantime.
5. Don't worry yourself, the situation is beyond your control as it affect the globe.

Hello Nairalanders who are based in UAE and already established or comfortable.pls let's not try to prove a point by not helping others especially some of us who just came in.it is true that due to the Coronavirus outbreak some companies are on temporary break but that does not mean there are no company or companies recruiting at all.like i said, when i landed yesterday i didn't know anywhere called Ras Al Khaimah (RAK)in UAE before until i was directed by the person my visa agent linked me with to board a bus and meet him.on meeting him,i paid for the bed space and he also collected 100,000NGN from me for the job search fee.he actually directed me to one construction company in RAK this morning as a tiler helper but unfortunately b4 i got there, the work has been given to another person so i told myself i should move around and seek for job myself,i entered about 7different companies in RAK within 30minutes but all of which no vacancy but one in particular the boss asked me am i from Ghana or Nigeria and i said Nigeria and he said there were no vacancies.sincerely speaking, of all the companies i entered myself there were not a single black employee But that is not to say there is no job at all.like i said,i can do any helper job available in any location in UAE so please i am still appealing to those who are opportuned to help out,if me who just entered on a 90days Visa just yesterday almost got a job in RAK it means there are places out there in UAE that jobs are still available so please help ur Nigerian brother in need.
Thanks.

You have started on a good note by searching for jobs by yourself. A Congolese guy came to Dubai and we were together in the same room only for him to do what you are doing (searching for job by yourself) and within two weeks he got a job as a tiler in a construction company with accommodation and feeding. He vowed he would not give a dime to any agent and he got what he wanted to the amazement of everybody.

For the N100k that you gave to your supposed 'landlord', go and collect your money or give him a condition to get you job within a week, else, the money is gone.

Don't be discouraged if you are a GOOD TILER, you will definitely get a job. Go to as many companies as possible, God will bless your effort.

Inasmuch as there is sense in ur advice,my question for u is that Why are u in UAE? If u started from scratch and now u are reaping the reward for being patience why are u discouraging others who want to follow the same path?

My dear I read your comments and sincerely feel your concern but however, it is important to let you know that things have changed in UAE compared with the way they used to be. So many things have changed that those of you in Nigeria will not see but it is better imagined than experienced. But take note of the following before you come so that you will be aware.

1. There are fewer jobs than the population trooping into UAE every day from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Nigeria, Cameroon etc. This makes it extremely difficult for new comers to get job.

2. Agents are scamming Nigerians making them to believe that there are jobs when it is not true.

3. So many Nigerians are frustrated because of lack of jobs and are not willing to return home due to shame.

4. Job buying has gradually become a bigger scam than ever but might still see few ones that are genuine.

5. If you have any job that can sustain you in Nigeria you better remain than facing the frustrating situation in UAE.

6. Frustration level in UAE for those without jobs is BIGGER than the frustration level in Nigeria. If you have no job in Nigeria, you can still run to your family and friends who might assist you but in UAE, you are on your own.

A few people who came earlier were lucky but THINGS ARE NO LONGER THE SAME. If you still have it in mind to come, you are free but plan ADEQUATELY for the three months so that your return will not be difficult. Prepare money for return ticket, food, bed space and miscellaneous that can take care of you for THREE MONTHS before you leave Nigeria.

Wish you all the best.

I'm here to tell those who intend coming to Dubai the plain truth.

See, if you plan coming to UAE to search for jobs, just have it in mind that you've got about 95% chance of returning home after 3months without getting a job or invitation for interview at all. Professionals might have good chance of getting jobs, I don't know about that. It's risky coming here with your attested certificate without any skill or UAE experience to search for jobs. It's like staking VERY BIG on East Thurrock or York city to beat Liverpool 3-0 correct score, you know what I mean. It's possible, but the chance is very slim.

My advice:

Coming to the UAE with a 3months visa for job hunting, will cost you nothing less than N1million (visa, attestation, flight ticket, accommodation in uae for 3months, feeding, and transport fee for job hunting EXCLUDING Agents and other 419 fees, if you're not wise or too desperate). Use that money to invest into any business. You don't need to start Big. Start small and watch your business grow. And if you already have a business, don't sell your business because one stupid agent is promising you a job that would pay you 500k monthly in Dubai. Use that money to expand your business. If you must travel, consider Canada through Express Entry.

For a moment, ask yourself why those who came here to make enquires about certificate authentication or confirmation of their visas, refuse to come back here to share their testimony/experience after they got to the UAE. They are either stranded or have returned home without a job.

So think!

Bye bye.

***Ghost mode activated again.

My guy you have said an open truth. I was thinking of coming to give advice based on what you just typed. Since you have started it, I will complement your write-up.

3-Months Tourist Visa with the aim of staying back for job search is TERRIBLY RISKY now than before. The current situation shows that when there are 10 vacancies more than 500 applicants would compete for them. What will happen to the 490 applicants that remain? Probably, they will be frustrated, depressed and eventually over stay their visa. You don't want to get to this level!

Yet hundreds and thousands of new Tourist Visa holders are coming into UAE with the same purpose. How terrible!

If you have a job than can sustain you in Nigeria, you better stay back and plan your way to Canada, Germany, Australia, and now UK or other European countries through immigration program or education.

The fact is that UAE is no longer attractive for job seekers but so wonderful for TOURISM purpose.

For some of us who still believe that what we are writing are lies, you have a choice to come and see for yourself. But to be forewarned is to be forearmed. Don't believe that agent that is deceiving you to come, he is only INTERESTED in the PROFIT he will make from you.

But however, if you are a graduate with experience and ready to do 2-year Personal Resident Permit directly from Nigeria, you MIGHT have a better chance.

Take this warning seriously. Don't be in Nigeria with UNREASONABLE HOPE that UAE is your HEAVEN so you must come at all cost.

BE WARNED!

Pls kindly ignore my ignorance, do I need to attestate my B.sc, o level and birth certificate to get a better job?

Someone was saying that o level attestation can be done at WEAC office in Yaba. Is this true?

Thanks in anticipation of you response.

Read page 12 and 13 of this forum every information you need is there.

You don't need to authenticate birth certificate.

All authentication for UAE are done by the following institutions: MOE, MOFA and UAE Embassy all in Abuja.

It depends on what you want, qualification and experience?

Jobs are not readily available in UAE like before. Hundreds of Nigerians keep coming in without proper investigation and planning hence, are stranded. You need to know what is obtainable in UAE now so that you will not be stranded.

Start reading from page one of this thread, you will get vital information.

Good morning house.

I think it is most noble for us to stop this argument about whether UAE or SA Tourist Visa is more tenable in getting visas to developed economies like USA, UK, Canada, Germany, Australia etc.

I like to express my sincere concern that the process of application for visa is the same but could favour some people more than the other even if they all submit EXACTLY THE SAME DOCUMENTS. I have seen a security officer in a private company (with less than N500k in his account and virgin passport) getting USA visa while a manager in big company (with multi-million Naira in his account and European travel history) being denied.

There are psychological questions that would be asked during interview process and if you fail, you will surely be denied, but if you pass you will be granted. What about the mood of the Visa Officer? If he/she is happy you might get it but if not you might be denied. What about applicant's boldness and ability to answer questions without fear. So many other factors.

UAE and SA Tourist Visas definitely count as travel history but you can't determine which is better. If you think SA is good for you, go for it and if you prefer UAE it is also beautiful.

Let us not derail this thread. This is my humble submission.

No brother,
You can change to work Visa but during the time of exiting to convert the Visa to employment's your status will change that you have exited with the tourist Visa and then you can re enter with work Visa from another company entirely and nothing concerns your bank anymore...

All they need from you is to exit to any country of your choice Nigeria ,Oman or Kish island and re-enter with employment Visa from any company of your choice...

The last paragraph answers the question which is what I maintained. You must exit UAE first with your Tourist Visa to free yourself.

His question showed that he has intention of not returning to Nigeria that is why I gave him the councel.

You can't do authentication of University Certificate without your O'level Certificate. Sorry about the fire incidence but your affidavit and police report are not tenable.

Had it been that it was WAEC that you did, you have the option of getting a replacement known as results notification directly from WAEC.

They only authenticate original certificates.

Even if the person gets a job and convert to employment and resident visa ?

Yes, because you were given Tourist Visa and not Work Permit. The intention of Tourist Visa is for you to tour UAE and RETURN to your country and not to convert to
Work or Resident Permit. The bank will still pay the penalty and deduct it from your account.

Be warned! This is why people who don't have intention of returning would not patronize bank for UAE Tourist visa.

They will use BVN to trace all your accounts and recover that money...

Updated Information With Visa Process Using Banks

I have been a little bit silent about obtaining Visa through any bank in Nigeria but finally gotten my facts.

If you know you have intention of NOT returning to Nigeria after the expiration of your 3-months visa, DON'T PROCESS YOUR VISA THROUGH BANK. Banks are mandated to give an assurance that the visa applicants must return to their country of residence before the expiration of the visa. If not, the bank receives a fine of $1,500 as caution. The bank will in turn place a recovery alert on the defaulter's BVN and account number details. If any money should be deposited in any of your accounts in Nigeria, you won't be able to cash it until the $1500 is fully recovered from your account.

For a company providing Accommodation and transportation does that mean they will deducting 400 for transportation and housing allowances which I will be left with 1800 monthly, or it's the complete 2200 stated by the MOL I will be receiving. Cus am confused.

Thanks in Anticipation!

It means you shall receive 2200 monthly which includes allowances for accommodation and transportation. You will get accommodation and transport yourself to work by yourself. The company won't be responsible for them as the allowances have been included in your salary.

Please people don't say i am too inquisitive because i believe it is better i know than to be ignorant and then fall due to ignorance.
Please i will appreciate a honest answer from those who has seen it all in Dubai.
The person that did my Dubai 90days tourist visa for me promised to connect me with a guy in Dubai,a Nigerian whom will assist me with work when i arrived in Dubai so i asked him for the number so as to chat with him before hand which he did as a matter of fact he sent me the guy's number today and i immediately chat him up on WhatsApp and introduced myself that i am from so so person.
On introducing myself, the guy sent me 3or 4voice notes.
Guys going by the voice notes the guy i am supposed to meet to assist me with job in Dubai sent i must say that i am already confused and almost unethusiastic about this whole Dubai stuff.
I just finished authenticating my certificates in Abuja from my o'level,OND and HND but what the guy said is giving me serious concerns, that I will pay him 100k for the job and that since i am just coming on a 90days visa that i can't get a job that pays more than 100k that after 6months i can change job
Please is that possible?
because with 100k as salary then i will pay 50k for accommodation then the remaining 50k I will feed inside and send money to my in Nigeria because i am married with 3kids my house rent in Nigeria is 150k.
Please is there truth in what he said concerning jobs available not paying more than 100k and is also possible to change job after 6months if i should go with him?

Don't be confused. Obviously, he wants to get you a start up jobs like waiter, cleaner, security, hotel attendants etc. My guy going by your situation, you need to count the cost before coming to UAE. That's the way it is in Dubai but you have to be careful. If your current income is above N100k in Nigeria, you better stay back. Just come for tourism and go back home. But if you're ready to face the challenge, then come to Dubai. You may not be able to send money to your family back home in a long while until you have a good job.

If the job offer has accommodation, feeding and transportation and Emirates ID included, it is a good one but if not, run for your life. It is possible to change job after six months but your current Resident Permit visa must be cancel if an employer has done one for you, but how are you sure you will get a new employer that will do another Resident Permit visa for you?

Don't pay any Kobo until you have seen and sure of what you are paying for.

I will advise you to have extra N150k apart from the amount the person told you to bring. This is incase of eventuality.

Lastly, be careful.
