skyone: WORD!! Listen, it's very Simple. "Traditionally", the Man is the Breadwinner and is supported by the woman, right? Fine. But, if Situation arises and she has to be the breadwinner, are you going to divorce her? It won't be easy, I know. That's where the maturity of the couple, the bond which holds them together and the reason(s) why they decided to spend the rest of their lives together in the first place, comes in. Shikena!! |

@deb Thanks man. Cudn't have said it better. @eccentric Still waiting for those beats. Meanwhile, eccentric:True, true. Cobhy is definitely one of the most original producers in Nigeria. See, he is a multi-instrumentalist and uses musical instruments in quite a number of his beats, so this gives him a lotta flexibility. Dont think so? well, still waiting for those copied beats. Versatility. . . like my frnd deb said, Cobhy is the most verstile producer in Nigeria! Dude does hip hop, R&B, pop, rock, soul, funk, juju. . . name it! Need i mention his off-the-hook beats? |

Hey guys!! Like Osina wata said, did my meds today. It was fine. Just be prepared for some rigorous tests. Lung tests (we had to hold our breath under water for at least 8 minutes), Test of strength and perserverance (had to do minimum of 89 push ups), Eye tests (we had to go to the top floor of freeman house and count the number of people at obalende bus stop; this was also used to test for a probable fear of heights). . . . . okay, okay Just kidding!! It was just the same old tests (eye, hearing, lungs, blood, urine. . ) have to go back on monday to see the doc with our results. @douecho. . . congrats man!!! I'm so happy for you. This is really great! everybody's gettin meds. Everybody will eventually. Trust me! @Cheksa, Godeagle, douecho. . . make una no vex jare. We always remember u guys. If we are talking about REAL music, then wot's with the polls? Cobhams is wayyyy ahead of any other producer in nigeria. He's also a multi-instrumentalist par excellence. Just listen to asa's album. He produced all the tracks (co-produced some). Listen to the harmony of the instruments. . . as in, for one second, just forget asa's vocals, and listen to good music, the way it should be done. Then you'll catch my drift. That guy is so talented!!! God bless you, Cobhy!! . . . . . Then, at a distant second is I.D. Cabasa! |

Hey Guys. How are u doing? Hey BOSON, welcome. Osina wata, douecho, EasyT, jibzgal, wumwum, nkenke, pepperyboy, cheksa, edoblakky et al. how's it going? Don't worry guyz, like i said before, in the last set, they still sent meds 15 days after the 1st med iv. Just try to relax, aight? I kno it aint easy, but worrying and checking ur mails every minute wont really help matters. Just try making preparations for Edjeba (to keep urself busy), cos ur name dey there already!!! One luv!! |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by opensesame: 1:39pm On May 06, 2009 |
Hey guys. Just want to reassure y'all that we are still together, supporting and praying for us all. Meds go definitely land!! I kno it ain't easy, but just relax. The reason I'm saying RELAX is because from the last set, people were still getting meds 15 DAYS after the first iv. Hopefully, this time it won't take that long (as I notice everything is kinda movin faster this time; they are probably trynna make up for the test-SRD delay). So, just pray, trust and have faith in God. He will never fail!! Cheers. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by opensesame: 9:58am On May 06, 2009 |
@ EasyT Like I once said, I don't check that status thingy anymore. Even if I did now, I probably won't tell you, cos if I have successful on it and you have som'n else, it will get you worried for nothing!! The status is obviously not updated promptly, so lets forget about it. It's only a question of time, man. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by opensesame: 8:40am On May 06, 2009 |
Goodmorning guyz, Yesterday was some day, wasn't it? We thank God for folks that got the meds. We specially thank Him for those that WILL get theirs soon. It's only a question of time. Thanks a lot, guys, for all the Congratulatory msgs. It will soon be my turn to tell u too!! Congrats to IfnobeGod(once again), Jisola mar, penjart and roshmedia. @roshmedia. . where have you been? Anyways, welcome to the thread. Try to be more frequent, as serious preparations for Edjeba don start by God's grace. @jibzgal. . . No shakin. We are not going anywhere without u guyz. we are togeda. @EasyT. . . I studied Industrial Physics (2.1). Not sure exactly wot they consider in terms of who they send meds to first, but I know that in no time they'll got in touch with everybody. and that includes. . You!! |

TV/Movies / Re: Dbanj's Nu Reality Show Tagged "koko Mansion" by opensesame: 10:40am On May 05, 2009 |
Koko Mansion revolves around the quest of 12 beautiful, talented girls that will live in a mansion for eight weeks, to become the ideal Kokolette (wife). During the eight weeks, the young women will be groomed and tested in various activities in order to determine the one with the greatest Koko virtues, worthy of being a wife –a Kokolette. Some of these Koko virtues that the viewers, who are the ultimate judges in the intrigue-filled show, would be looking out for are: the ability of the Kokolette to cook and be an ideal African woman. A press statement signed by HITV head of communication, Justin Esade reads: “The Kokolette must also be industrious while being able to take care of the home front; her ability to be respectful and courteous at all times would be put to test. The potential Kokolette must be able to emulate notable women in society such as Honourable Abike Dabiri, Nike Osinowo. The Kokolette, according to Morayo Aka-Bashorun, Business Development and Sales Manager, HiTV, must be a beautiful young lady, at least 18 years old. She must be smart and intellectually savvy; she must also possess a fun talent she is willing to explore and definitely a wife material. She must be well-cultured with sound domestic training, an absolute diva with the ability to get along with a diverse crowd. The Kokolette must be someone with good moral values, independent and ambitious aside being a creative person. She must also be an excellent host, a very creative person who understands and can get along with the celebrity lifestyle of the hip hop star.
Now, I am not a fan of D'banj, neither am I a hater. That's why I'll objectively give them a candid advice. I say, SCRAP THAT 'COMPANION' PART. Instead, she could be a Spokesperson for his Koko foundation or som'n. A worthy cause. She, being the 'ideal african woman', could go to schools, wherever, and give talks to young girls on the virtues of the 'ideal african woman'. How about a prize that has to do with developing her most unique talent? Anything guys. Put on your thinking caps and thinkin of som'n better that being an ESCORT, for cryin out LOUD!!! |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by opensesame: 12:45pm On May 04, 2009 |
I no mind too, but I think the reason they usually give a month is because most employees ask for a month's resignation notice. So Shell tries to accomodate that, plus any other personal preparations you'd need to make etc. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by opensesame: 12:02pm On May 04, 2009 |
Cheksa:em. . . boss?? Me no kno about that. Anyways, they seem to always send their mails in batches, true. At the moment, there is no credible med iv that we know of, but those may still be sent in batches. Most of these thots are goin by past patterns. And Cheksa, are you really sure about the June 3rd thing? Cos if they usually give about a month btw offer letter and SITP, then June 3 obviously wont fly. @nkenke. . no need 4 temp 2 dey rise. Ur name dey there already, so lerax, or is it relax. . .lol. |
