megainvest: It is very obvious. They can not report a loss for FY 2015. You may ask me why. 1. The last press release said they will discuss dividend payment. A loss making company will not even consider dividend payment. 2. Their profit warning said that FY PAT was materially lower than for 2014. It didn't say there was no profit at all. 3. Q3 results tells the whole story.
FBNH can decide to declare 5 kobo dividend if they want but they will not declare a loss.
You know what I'll type next....... This is not a buy or sell recommendation megainvest: It is very obvious. They can not report a loss for FY 2015. You may ask me why. 1. Good morning dear friends, I need your help as always. I have unclaimed dividend with Cardinal Stone Registrars, income from NAHCO PLC I bought last year. I called them(Cardinal Stone) after filling the e-dividend mandate form and getting all the necessary things done with my bank, but was asked to get a banker's confirmation along with it. I did all that and took it myself to their office at Yaba. I was told my account will be credited in three weeks after due confirmation. I later received the dividend warrants via Cardinal Stone dispatch two weeks after I visited them. i lodged the cheque into my bank account only to discover it's a stale cheque. I called them up, but was asked to write a letter instructing them to credit my account(which they should have done instead of sending a cheque). I have done that and sent to them but was told on phone when i called to confirm receipt, that it going to take them another six week before my account will be credited, because they have to do another confirmation. Does it take this long for dividend to be credited to one's account? I need your candid advice |

Coolcash1: FBNH for now is not good for short term rather long term. The price you mentioned @Asmara was when stock prices were manipulatively balooned and overpriced resulting into disastrous end for investors..Many fingers got burnt. Even some brokers are still cooling their heels at panti police station and kirikiri...However, judging by the lull in banking sector heralded by the downturn in oil prices which led to massive NPL in their books, banks stocks generally have plummeted..Specifically, FBNH is worst hit because of its huge loan portfolio to the O&G sector. This was corroborated by the recent profit warning released by the bank to investors an indication that all is not well with the elephant..
The road to recovery may still be far even as oil price begins to rally. If the rally is however sustained it will surely turn around things for FBNH and others thereby positively impacting albeit, marginally on their share price. Honestly, no matter the level of oil price rebound, to see the price soaring back to 2008 price within 3-5years will definitley be a mirage. But if you are long on it, as yours truly is too, you need not bother yourself... Thanks Coolcash1. Am most grateful am re-strategizing with what I have. |

Asmara: Oragbon, you are even lucky, mine was @N24 in 2008 when i never aware of this educative forum to tap knowledge and experience from. Over to gurus in the house to advise what to do at this critical situation of FBNH. Thanks so much Asmara for your response. I also have a good number I but@N11, the initial mentioned was bought recently, this year precisely. My consolation now is joining this AWAKING and mind blowing forum. |
