RomanceMy Only Brother Wants To Marry A Prostitute And Drug Dealer….. by ORAGBON(op):
I was ecstatic when I received the news of my only brother’s wedding. We are three siblings and from a very close knit family. All grown now, the myself and my sister are married. Our only brother Tobi who is the last born is getting married in two weeks. I traveled down from South Africa for the wedding. My sister,Tania is also coming in from Germany with her family. My parents are excited. At least,Tobi is settling down and will continue the family linage. I had done a lot of shopping for the wedding. We, the Josephs live to throw bug parties. Tobiloba, the only son of Chief Olusola Jospehs was going to have an ovation wedding, nothing short of that!

I arrived Nigeria last night and I couldn’t wait to meet Tobi’s fiancee, Bella this morning. As we had a family breakfast this morning, a Lady walked in and Tobi got up to embrace her.

”Meet my bestest sister, Tayo, the one who lives in SA that I have been talking to you about”.

”Oh…I have heard so much about you, I cannot wait to….”

Bella couldn’t finish her statement. Of course she couldn’t,as we both saw each other and froze.

I actually almost choked on the pieace of bread I was chewing.

Bella?…noooooooooooo. Who am I seeing? No freaking way!!!

I got up slowly and the first words that came out of my mouth were: ”This must be a joke, I must be dreaming!”

Bella, whom I recognized as Benita looked like she saw a ghost when she saw recognized me as well.

You see, I know this girl called Bella as Benita. Yes,we were in school together. In Unilag. Benita was a student in my department. She was a call girl,a well known prostitute. It was a well known fact that she slept her way through school. It is also a well known fact that she was into drugs. Well known fact that she was a cultist. Finally,a well known fact that she was responsible for the death of my best friend’s brother: Tunde.

Benita had become Tunde’s girlfriend in order to use him to get money and good grades. Everyone told Tunde to leave Benita but he couldnt,it looked like the boy was charmed. In our final year,Tunde died of drug overdose. Benita fled and did not graduate from university that year.

That was eight years ago!

So here I am,sitting in my parents home and my beloved brother just introduced this witch as his bride! I must be dreaming.

I was able to gather myself. Or not, because the next thing I did was scream. I screamed so loud and ran off from the living room to my room upstairs.

There was instant confusion. My mother ran after me and all I could do was cry. After I calmed own a little,I began to tell my folks all I knew about Benita. My parents were in total shock and disbelief.

At this time,Benita had run out of our home and Tobi my brother went with her.

Later on today.....read more

RomanceWedding Test!!! by ORAGBON(op): 9:57pm On Oct 17, 2017
My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating 4 over a year and so we decided to get married. There
was only one little thing bothering me…It was her beautiful younger sister. My perspective 21-year-old sister-in-law always wore very tight miniskirts, and often times was bra-less. She would regularly bend down when she was near me, and I always got more then a nice view. One day her little sis called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived, and she whispered to me that she had feelings and
desires for me that she couldn’t overcome. She told me that she wanted me just once b4 I get married and commit my life to her sister. Well, I was in total shock, and couldn’t say a word. She said I’m going upstairs to my room, and if u want one last wild fling, just come up and get me. I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go upstairs. I stood there for a moment then turned and headed straight to the front door. I opened the door and headed straight
towards my car. Behold, my future family were standing outside, all clapping!. With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me and said “We are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn’t ask for a better man for our daughter ,Welcome to the family!”.({}) I smiled and heaved a
sigh of relief because I was actually heading to my car to get my condoms … NA GOD SAVE ME
O!..

RomanceAngry But I Love You by ORAGBON(op): 10:25pm On Oct 16, 2017
One of the most interesting emotions displayed in relationships is anger. I say interesting because it appears like a phenomenon and creates a disequilibrium which if not well managed can lead to serious consequences.

Growing up, I used to hear a neighbor cry ,beg and call for family members to come and beg her husband anytime he was angry with her. For several days, the man would refuse to touch her or eat her food because he got angry with her. This was how their marriage and a lot of relationships operated. Really interesting!.

Getting angry with your husband or wife is normal. Even the bible recognizes that there would be times of anger: do not let your anger go down with the sun!

The bible also recommends that if you are offended by someone, before you pray to God,go and and make peace with that person that you have issues with. How can you expect God to forgive you when you have not forgiven your spouse?

I have heard some people say that they have been married for over two decades and never had a disagreement with their spouse for one day. Perhaps, these folks can share what their secret has been.

Anger is an emotion. It comes when one feels offended or displeased by the actions of others. In marriage, when anger sets in,there are steps to be taken to ensure that the damage or consequences of anger is not grave. Some of these steps are:

Agree with your spouse long before any argument that no matter what happens in the marriage, you would never leave the house without praying together. This action ensures that as soon as you both hit the floor to pray, you may likely forgive each other before praying so that God can forgive you. This deal also works because, prayer is an invitation of God into your situation. When prayer takes place, the spirit of the prayer brings peace and calmness
In the heat of anger, try to remember that you are angry with the individual’s behavior and not the individual. If you can successfully separate the action from the individual,it is much easier to forgive the action knowing that the individual may have acted in ignorance and may not have meant any harm
Make up your mind that nothing is unforgivable in marriage. Many people get into marriage with a list of does and don’ts. That is a recipe for failure. Marriage is a union where anything can happen. You must imagine ALL scenarios (offenses and all) before you agree to marry someone. If you cannot see past forgiving someone for ANYTHING,then don’t marry that person. Before marriage, forgive adultery, forgive pain, forgive betrayal, forgive insult, forgive lies, forgive neglect, forgive embarrassment….forgive every and anything. Once you are able to do that, when you eventually get married, anger would be easier to manage
When angry, take a walk to cool off. This helps a lot. Take a moment to leave the environment where the anger was triggered. Fresh air does magic when anger is building up.
Learn to apologize quickly. This comes with a lot of practice. Apologizing should be done by both parties irrespective of who is wrong. Apologizing shows that you value your relationship more than a stupid argument.
Seek counsel. If there are serious anger issues, perhaps seeking professional counsel might be the best. Sometimes, people are not even aware that they need help to manage anger. This is especially for individuals who may have been abused while growing up. Angry people hurt even those they love

FamilyInside Every Failing Child...... by ORAGBON(op):
Inside Every Failing Child...

Growing up, I felt like a complete failure. Few kids wanted to associate with me. The rest bullied me. I had speech problem in my childhood and other children made mockery of my speech problem. I stammered and couldn't pronounce long words.

My primary 2 class teacher dismissed me from school because I couldn't pronounce my full name correctly. I cried but she wasn't moved. I went home that day and told my dad what my teacher said and dad placed his hand on my shoulder and said to me "son, if they say you can't speak, prove to them that at least you can write". That was how I started writing.

My dad was a good writer himself. He wrote speeches for almost every local politician I knew in my childhood. He taught me how to write the night tales of my mother. Respect to parents who won't give up on their failing child.

In September 2012, the teacher who dismissed me from her class attended a conference where I was the guest speaker. It was an Assemblies of God Church District Youth Conference in Ikom. We had powerful sessions. On the final day of the conference, an older lady walked up to me as I made my way out of the auditorium and said "excuse me sir, can I see you briefly?"...I obliged and she called me by my native name, introduced herself as my primary 2 class teacher who didn't believe I could ever speak a word let alone speaking to the world. She hugged me and sobbed. I got emotional too but I was too tired to cry. Today, I get paid to speak.

Friends, the height of impatience is when you conclude the life of a child with their childhood or teenage mistakes and struggles. I don't understand people who think a child is doomed because of their early life failures. It is more like concluding that the caterpillar is a doomed, ugly, weak creature who can't fly without knowing that inside every caterpillar is a beautiful butterfly with wings.
A lot of parents give up too soon on their child just because of their academic struggles. I know a father who disowned his daughter for falling pregnant in her teens.

Everyday I interact with younger people who are struggling with one thing or the other. Beyond the burden of their struggles, I see their pains of rejection from those who should be their pillar.

The next time you are tempted to condemn a struggling child, remember that every beautiful butterfly also had a terrible childhood.
Inside every failing child is an eagle waiting to soar.
Let’s not give up on our children!

FamilyWho Is A Woman? by ORAGBON(op): 9:22pm On Oct 16, 2017
[08/10 10:29] Sis Mercy Main: *Who is a womanhuh??*
*When she is quiet, millions of things are running through her mind. When she stares at you, she is wondering why she loves you so much in spite of being taken for granted. When she says I will stand by you, she will stand by you like a solid rock. Never hurt her or take her for granted. A very heart touching message by a woman. Someone asked her, Are you a working woman or a housewife? She replied: Yes, I am a full-time working housewife. I work 24 hours a day. I'm a Mum. I'm a Wife. I'm a Daughter. I'm a Daughter-in-law. I'm an Alarm clock. I'm a Cook. I'm a Maid. I'm a Teacher. I'm a Waitress. I'm a Nanny. I'm a Nurse. I'm a Handywoman. I'm a Security officer. I'm a Counsellor. I'm a Comforter. I don't get holidays. I don't get sick leave. I don't get day off. I work through day and night. I'm on call all hours and get paid with a sentence. "What Do U Do All Day??"*
*This Is Dedicated to all women*
*A Woman has the most unique character like salt! Her presence is never remembered, but her absence makes all the things tasteless. Pass it to all the lovely ladies...Ur Mother. Ur Wife. Ur daughter. Ur sister & Ur friend. Forward to every woman to make her smile and to every man to make him realize a woman's Worth.*

RomanceDilemma Of The Side Chick by ORAGBON(op): 3:33pm On Oct 15, 2017
I have never been a desperate lady even now that I am 38 years old. Most of my peers are married or in relationships but I tend to meet only the bad ones or the married ones. I am also quite comfortable by all standards. I met James at a night Club last year and we hit it off immediately. I thought I was having fun with a single man. (At least, that what James told me)We started dating and having a great relationship. One fateful day,I found out that James was married. I have sworn never to be a side chick so I cut off the relationship with him immediately. I broke up with him on the phone. James later explained to me that his six month old marriage with Liz is over and that they are in the process of a separation and eventually divorce. He showed me proof of this. He even went ahead to call his wife, put her on speaker and asked her to confirm their relationship status. The lady on the other end of the phone replied: I cant wait to divorce you,f–k you James. She cut off. This revelation gave me a little assurance and I got back together with James. Last month,a friend of mine brought to my attention that Liz,had posted a picture of herself with James on her instagram page with a caption: When the s-x is good and you cant let go without a fight! I was devastated. I confronted James about this. He initially denied it but later on confessed that he slept with Liz a few weeks ago. He claimed it was a mistake. Liz was involved in an accident, when he heard about it,he went to see her to make sure she was ok but ended up sleeping with her. He said they both regretted it and agreed it would never happen again. Part of me wants to believe James. Part of me thinks he is lying. What if he is still hooking up with her?what if they never divorce?what if they get back together. I must say I am in love with James. Its going to be really hard to let him go. He treats me well. What am I going to do. Should I resign myself to this situation? I dont want to be a side chick but isnt my situation slighty different? What should I do?

RomanceMarried But....... by ORAGBON(op):
Married but...

Jide and I have been married for 14 years. We have four beautiful kids. Our 13 year old Betty is the most beautiful teenager. Smart and very wise.

A few years ago, Jide and I started having problems. The problem was because Jide started cheating when things got better for him. When we first got married, things were very hard. I was responsible for most of our family bills. My job as a banker proved to be very rewarding at the time.

But Jide got a job as a GM in a big company and things changed. He started keeping late nights and starting cheating. We would fight most times about this. One time, he said I had become fat and unattractive. I started to work out at the gym. I tried everything I knew. I tried to persuade him for us to see a counsellor but he refused. After fighting for almost three years,i gave up. I gave up because it was clear my husband was no longer in love with me. Ever since, we have lived like strangers in the same house. He has several mistresses he spends time with. One of which has a child for him.

Three weeks ago. Jide came home and asked me to forgive him. He said he just found out he was HIV and hepatitis positive. He said he was dying. His said a found out a year ago and has been treating and living with these conditions. Now, he has spent a his money and his mistresses have left him. It turns out that Jides mistress who has a child for him is also HIV positive. Their child too.

I don't know what Jide wants from me but we cannot go back to where he left our marriage. He is my husband. We are not divorced but I have moved on.

My daughter Betty wants me to accept her father back but there has been too many hurt. Plus, what am I going to do now that he is sick and dying. If not for the condition, perhaps he would never have come to his senses.

Anyway, my heart and life with Jide is over . The problem is, I really don't know how to love this man anymore.

Has anyone been in a similar situation like mine, what should i do.... Maybe for the sake of my kids

From Yvonne

Oga zendi, am trying to understand how you/MKT do your analysis. i.e the parameter used.why will the market be expecting N40b or more profit for a bank that is huge on loan? Fbnh last year H1 is about N40b. With all this their katakata, are we not supposed to expect something far less than last year's? This just a loud after thought, as am still a novice here observing. Oga yrmybank, the MPC meeting holds on Monday and Tuesday. The outcome of that meeting will have an effect on the market especially the banks. It will be wise not to jump in on Monday.

Oando's record breaking loss is expected on or before 31st May (about a week from Monday). The company has warned us severally about this huge loss. No one knows if the warning and the subsequent market reaction have been exaggerated or not. Better to wait till the release date (it is at hand) and determine if it was exaggerated or not. Some might gamble by taking position ahead of the release of the result but I won't advise that. Those that bought well below current price have a good buffer. OPEC meeting is 2nd June but I don't expect any significant positive effect on the market (Iran has got serious beef for Saudi Arabia).

I prefer Afriprud to UCAP at current prices. Market expectation of an interim dividend should drive this stock next month.

With this few lines of mine, I hope I have succeeded in confusing you. grin tongue
