We pride our tribe as the most clever, astute and intelligent in Nigeria. But sadly, our deeds often prove otherwise. Why are we so easily susceptible to brainwashing? Could it be that we actually know the truth but are always willing to go
with false narratives?

How on earth did we arrive at the embarrassing fact that Tinubu is the cause of our problems?

Prior to writing this, I asked a few of my people why they hated the former Lagos governor to the point of wanting him and his family murdered in the most
violent fashion, their responses were same.

“Tinubu looted Lagos to pieces.”

Frankly, I’m still looking for the correlation between what they accused Tinubu of and the problems we are facing as Ndigbo.

To start with, if the APC leader looted Lagos to pieces, how exactly does
that stop the developing of the South East? Unless, of course, Lagos state budget is linked to building our region.

Again, Lagos state net worth in US dollars is USD 33.679m and the net worth of the 5 Southeastern states is USD 36.791m, if Tinubu looted his state to the point
that they’re now reeling in poverty, how come Lagos state is almost richer than all the five eastern states combined?

Ask yourselves these questions in honesty, is Tinubu the reason why Aba is a glorified dustbin? Is he the reason why Owerri roads are impassable?

Is he the reason Omo and Umumbo and Achalla and Urum are all killing each other in communal clashes? Is Tinubu the reason why the majority of Igbos are not living in the South East?

Let’s direct our rage to Igbo leaders who have been looting and impoverishing us for decades

Rabiu Garba is the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Fegge Onitsha. He built a borehole for the neighbourhood without any fund raising.

He organizes soccer tournaments for the youths of Fegge at their stadium where he also goes to play table tennis weekly.

For Rabiu Garba, Fegge is his home. Fegge is his community.

He has attended almost every church and every event in the area as he is invited because he is accepted as one of them.

When the rampaging youths came to burn his Police Division yesterday, he neither fought nor fled.

While his men were panicked, he walked out to meet the mob with the courage of a man who had nothing to fear.

They recognized him and the angry chants were silenced! Most of the youths could vouch for him as a professional cop and a role model for many young men in the community.

They even granted him audience to address and counsel them before the mob dispersed.

It had nothing to do with his tribe.
It had nothing to do with his religion.
He was just a model cop.

A former member of the House of Representatives and aspirant for the position of the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ibrahim Baba, has written to President Muhammadu Buhari, urging him to shift the operational base of Nigerian seaports from Lagos to Port Harcourt.

The former lawmaker, in a letter dated October 22, also copied the offices of the Vice President and the minister of transportation.

He based his reason on the wanton destruction of properties recently by hoodlums which led to the burning of the Nigerian Ports Authority office in Lagos.

“Already, there are two major seaports in Rivers State – the Rivers ports and the Onne port – that can successfully execute all the international shipping businesses that have been going on in Lagos,” said Mr Baba.

“And may I also advise that similar ports in Calabar, Cross Rivers State and elsewhere be enhanced, and completion works on the Baro port in Niger State should be expedited so that the country can have various alternative means of facilitating local and international trade. This will also help free the nation from possible threats and blackmails by gangsters who could destroy or hijack a particular port in order to sabotage the nation’s economy.”

PREMIUM TIMES reported how hoodlums, following the shooting of unarmed protesters at the Lekki Tollgate on Wednesday, set ablaze the NPA building, among other government properties, in Lagos.

The shooting at the Lekki Tollgate also led to an escalation of violence with reported attacks on private properties and businesses.

Prominent amongst properties destroyed by the hoodlums were the BRT station with buses, TV Continental (TVC), Adekunle police station, Herbert Macaulay Yaba and Lagos City Mall amongst others.

Asides Lagos, properties were also looted and destroyed in Ondo, Jos, Kano and Abuja.

How she managed to do live coverage at that close proximity to the soldiers & they didn't harm her?

78, 46 or 15, corpses were dropped in front of the soldiers & who took them away. However, she needs to explain why the soldiers didn't shoot at them while doing that & we need a better explanation to why her phone suddenly went dead when the soldiers were taking the corpses away.

There was no blood stains at the scene, even if it was cleaned up, I don't believe everything within the pores of the road will disappear except there was a serious washing & mopping of the road. Did the soldiers washed & mopped up the road without anyone witnessing it?

IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu has debunked the news making rounds that he ordered Yoruba assets to be attacked in Lagos. In the video below, Kanu said that mischievous people took a broadcast he made, selected some of his words, cut and paste them together, in other to give the impression that he ordered attacks on Yoruba assets. He said that the intention of the audio clip was to sow tribal discord into the ENDSARS movement so as to bring the uprising down by government agents. He also said that the broadcast he made is on YouTube, and anyone who takes time to listen to it will understand that the audio clip being being bandied about on social media was total nonsense designed to quote him out of context.
