ChiefOtunist:Mister, Unlike you that come here to sing praises for 10k or 20k, neither Obiano nor Peter can afford me. I even donated to Peter Obi. So all my effort is for the progress of Anambra state. If money would change hands, its likely me paying them and never the other way round. As i said, they can't afford me to even consult 1hr for them. Obiano worked despite what you revisionists write about him. Of course it was obvious that in the last three years of his administration, he devoted every available resource to complete the airport. Which was a good strategy. Else it would have become the worst atrocious abandoned project in Anambra's history had he not completed it. Of course even during the campaign, Soludo acknowledged that the state of the roads deserve a state of emergency to be declared on roads in Anambra. Soludo would have realized that the state's allocation could only pay salaries. Raising taxes to a level that will guarantee significant development resources would be very very unpopular. Thus the reason for suggesting developing a LASTMA style traffic agency to stem the spate of reckless driving in the state, while generating huge IGR from fining these perpetual dangerous drivers. Also using Direct Labour under professional engineers as supervisors for his roads emergency project later this year. The only issue is whether Soludo would device a system of accepting traffic fines payments only via POS to ensure there are no leakages that will defeat the purpose. |
I observed in total dismay that all internal township roads in onitsha, Nnewi and Awka had totally collapsed with huge swimming pools called potholes! Gov. Soludo must understand that N100 billion naira will scratch the surface of massive infrastructural decay in Onitsha and Nnewi. Not to mention Awka, Ekwulobia, and Aguleri. Unless he uses DIRECT LABOUR! For Direct Labour to work, he has to plan it differently from the traditional direct labour utilizing ministry of works. He should employ qualified civil engineers from reputable construction companies to design and supervise the direct labourers. He should also invest in road construction equipment to make their work of high quality. Also, i was shocked that Anambra government was stressing itself on how to raise taxes to generate IGR when there was ample vehicles breaking traffic laws. When Soludo could easily create a Lagos Mass transit authority (LASMA) organization using OCHA brigade. Anyone breaking traffick rule is apprehended and fined 10k or 20k on the spot. They MUST pay via POS into the state account. No cash is accepted for traffic offenses. Also big vehicles causing obstruction by parking on the road or abandoning broken down vehicles on the road are towed and fined 100k or 200k for trucks with goods. Soludo has lived abroad and knows that many local and city governments get their entire funding through issues of tickets against traffic offenders. So this idea should be quite obvious to him. On just sanitizing Anambra roads and enforcing traffic laws, Soludo will get enough IGR to execute any project he wants. Moreso, people will praise the sanity and law of heavy traffic from blocked road junctions. Gov. Soludo must think outside the box to increase IGR and not merely the easy option of raising taxes. Soludo must see the abundant financial opportunity in enforcing traffic rules and fining the abundant offenders according to their offenses. Enforcing traffic rules alone can double Anambra's IGR without even raising taxes on the already impoverished citizens. |
investnow2013:Noticeable efforts to beautify public spaces in the state are going on! Meanwhile, its refreshing to see that the airport is still being developed gradually. Avio bridges installation being finalized. God bless Gov. Soludo and former Gov Obiano wherever he is, for his courage to concieve and execute such transformational project for the state! God bless Peter Obi for helping to conserve the funds utilized in executing the project!

Mekus91:When 419 shady characters are allowed to "govern" a whole state or country, they pretty much use deceit and theft in every action. Innoson's bitter experience with Hope Uzodinma should serve as a lesson when dealing with other rogues masquerading as governors. |
Nigeria with huge population, no industrial base, thieving politicians transferring their loot into hard currency. Yet they left addressing these issues and instead will be raiding bureau the change for its depreciating naira! If we were Russia with roboust industrial base, huge oil and gas exports and small population, we would be raiding the moon now for the depreciation of the Russian currency to the US dollar. Truly blackman's brain na wah! |
ChimaAdeoye:I have used the airport at least 4 times. I am frustrated with the slow pace of work on the remaining areas such as arrival waiting lounge and departure lounge. Though i don't think their lack of completion should be used as excuse to deny the Airport International operations. Kano, PH and Enugu airport departure lounges , runway and other facilities are way smaller than similar facilities at Anambra International Airport. Yet they are allowed to operate International flights. I think Ezeoke was ill informed by insinuating that the airport was not fit for International operations. Nonetheless, Prof. Soludo earmarked 4 billion naira in this year's budget to complete ongoing projects at the Airport. Thus soon we shall see a completed departure lounge as enemies of Anambra are already converging to use Ezeoke's excuses to frustrate the airport. As unfounded as that excuse is. This is Nigeria afterall! |
hammer567:We shall see where you will establish your Taliban-style fiefdom. It is DEFINITELY not going to be in Igboland. Go and mark it that you heard it here. You fraudsters better go and buy land in Afghanistan to establish your dream caliphate. Illiterate fraudsters! |
Everyone who shares a slightly different opinion is "sabo" to these demented IPOB fanatics. However, it is them killing Igbos and making it easier for Fulani to invade the southeast to kill Igbos that are not "Sabo" It just tells you how intellectually daft these IPOB people truly are. It is shocking that I initially believed they were truly fighting for Biafra. Many people are still too shocked or embarrassed to come to the realization that these IPOB boys are indeed illiterate fanatics that do not care about Biafra. But how to use it to acquire wealth and power. These IPOB fanatics have zero ideas about how a modern prosperous state works. Bloody miscreants looking for people they will dupe in the name of "Biafra"!

IGBOSON1:The idea of placing steel dumpsters on major roads is archaic and should be stopped. Refuse should be collected house by house wrapped in plastic bags (waterproof bags) by private companies contracted by the state government. The people pay a very small monthly token for trash like 100 or 200 naira, while the state government subsidizes the rest. The resistance to adopting modern ways of doing things is the bane of the southeast. Everything must be done exactly how it was practiced in the 1950s. By the way, the ONLY way that inner streets can be tarred is if Soludo finally figured out how to utilize direct labor in road building. Training Ministry of works staff to employ laborers to grade streets, build gutter, and apply concrete, interlocking or asphalt overlay is the ONLY way that Soludo can make any appreciable achievement on roads. Many governors hate this method because they cannot steal from the inflated contracts of construction companies. But it is the ONLY way to get many roads completed with the available resources. |
Story for the gods ![]() Is Wike Igbo?? So why call him "Igbo President"?? |
Charming1:OP if your fake disinformation campaign has fallen flat because nobody is deceived ![]() Soludo was actually highly impressed with the airport when he landed NOT shocked as you lied here! Soludo asked the airport manager other remaining projects the state needed to provide to facilitate the smooth running of the facility. All of you extremely wicked demons that denied Anambra and the southeast a viable international airport for 56 years and now are crying that it was provided by Obiano will continue to watch all your anti-Igbo agenda in Nigeria fall apart one by one. The sad thing is that you people killed the concept of "One Nigeria" by your mindless wickedness. But, not a problem. Nigeria was never destined to be one. |
SpaceTour:One hopes that Soludo will not drop the ball on developing this airport to the fullest. Although Obiano did a fantastic job, it must be emphasized that his facilities were still the minimum required for the airport to become operational before his exit as governor. The airport still needs a lot of development such as its Cargo terminal, the cargo storage facilities within the airport, the flight school, parallel taxiway, airforce base terminal at the 06 end, aviation fuel dump supplied by a mini-refinery in Nsugbe, and so many others. One hopes that Soludo will pursue all the projects to make the airport an international passenger and cargo hub as well as one of the important aviation refueling facility in West Africa. |
Everything is all smiles until you leave office Sir! ![]() Then you would understand how Darfur led Omar Al-Bashir to ICC. Truly, nobody is worried about Buhari because his age and health might make it a waste trying him. It is the army commanders that are secretly executing people and doing UGM that will have their lives ruined. Only time will tell. |
AntiBMC: I am the first person to harshly criticize IPOB when they do something stupid. But this particular one isn't IPOB. It is clear as night and day that the so-called Unknown Gunmen are Fulani DSS men. There is NO WAY that IPOB will do this particular operation. It has all the fingerprints of Fulani DSS false-flag operation trying to blame IPOB for it. |
Onuohaaa:thankio |
One reason i will always praise Buhari is that he has made the dumb Nigerians to have some sense. Otherwise, you would see those arguing here that the man can make Nigeria to become USA or Japan in 4 years. The same way Buhari told them he would make dollar = one naira and they believed him ![]() |
investnow2013:Most importantly, ANY HOUSE USED FOR KIDNAPPING AND OTHER HEINOUS CRIMES MUST BE DEMOLISHED AND LAND CONFISCATED BY STATE GOVERNMENT - Anambra State Laws, 2014. The law must be applied. Kidnappers are again trooping into the state because of apparent relaxation of the execution of this law. |
Frigga13:The Ichi example should be replicated by every community all over the state. Let the youths "Take back their Land" from mere criminals and kidnappers masquerading as freedom agitators! Nnamdi Kanu himself told a group of boys robbing POS in Aba and Okija under the guise of being pro-Biafran agitators to stop or they'd be killed. Why is Simon Ekpa embracing the criminal elements attacking and kidnaping for ransom the same people he claims to be fighting for their freedom? That shows Simon Ekpa is merely leading a criminal gang and not freedom fighters. |
Chikeluba25:@bolded, Words on marble!!! The same people that hated Obiano because he defied the odds to develop Anambra are exactly the same people praying and wishing Soludo to fail! By God's grace, Soludo will succeed despite their snares and traps for him. I was so glad to see Anambra youths invade and destroy the criminal camps of these evil people. I am so glad that Ndi Anambra are gradually opening their eyes to the plot. I tried so much to ask Ndi Anambra that had not seen the deceit why the same people that said they wanted No elections in Anambra in 2017 and 2021 in order to cause a "crisis and appointment of a northern sole administrator", do not see the same plot as good for their own state in 2019 and 2022? Why are they not calling for "No elections" now ?? So we can have sole administrators in their states and we will achieve Biafra very fast? Are their states not also part of Biafra? I just hope Anambra people will stop paying all their attention to buying and selling, to notice what is being plotted, and what is actually going on. A lot of people are unhappy that the state is on a progressive path, and would like to return it to its shameful past of being governed by thugs and known criminals. Remember Ralph Uwazurike after he saw that he could not stop the last election, openly declared that his members should support Andy Ubah! Luckily, his members had already heeded his advice and did not obtain a PVC ![]() |
Chikeluba25:Obiano's massive developmental projects will be highly missed. The man was totally focused! |
PaNnamdi:Nigerian army and Russian soldiers are kind of similar. They specialize in killing unarmed civilians. Both would rather torture and molest women than fight another professional army. But, sill Russia obvious have more professional soldiers who can fight armed adversaries. So Russian army will likely obliterate Nigeria army in less than 2 hours of combat. |
Of course they must manufacture an excuse. That is why no problem is ever solved in Nigeria. Because instead of working hard to solve the root cause, we must find some obscure reason to blame the entire failure of the national grid. I'm surprised they didn't say the national grid collapsed due to the recent rains in Lagos that damaged the transformer on Awolowo road Ikoyi. |
OfoIgbo:EXACTLY! Slayerforever and all those faceless anti-Anambra goons will not tolerate Anambra people burning their LGA headquarters and all the crimes these people commit in Anambra! Like Soludo intimated, they leave their own states peaceful to belong to a Fulani party, then they come to Anambra to start their so-called campaign against "Fulani Cows" and attack security agents? Who is fooling who? Simon Ekpa and his people should know there is just so much that the people's patience can last. Then the Anambra youths will respond. |
Half of the people that devotedly jump on these types of threads are Fulanis. Their medicine for the south is simple: DIVIDE and RULE. Just pose as an Igbo and blame Yorubas for every evil in Nigeria, and then again you pose as Yoruba and blame the Igbos. Retreat, and watch them tear at each other. ![]() |
Naijabad:If you ask me? Na who i go ask?? ![]() The south is under serious juju manipulation. They are blinded by serious charms placed on cow meat eaters by their oppressors. Half of the people that devotedly jump on these types of threads are Fulanis. Their medicine for the south is simple: DIVIDE and RULE. Just pose as an Igbo and blame Yorubas for every evil in Nigeria, and then again you pose as Yoruba and blame the Igbos. Retreat, and watch them tear at eachother. ![]() |
NigerianAngelo:If you ask me, no who i go ask? ![]() |
Nnamdi Kanu has become a Prisoner of Conscience. Whether you kill him, jail him, release him or exile him, you will still have to deal with the marginalization issue. At the minimum, Nigeria must be restructured so that the feeling of one ethnic group lording it over others in their own homeland will be addressed for good. Else, I don't see any way this issue will be resolved without a second really bloody civil war. For those Russian-Nigerians among us, that think war's outcome is a result of the side that has the most tanks and airplanes at the start of the war, hopefully, the ongoing humiliation of the mighty Russian army in Ukraine will help them understand how a war's outcome isn't decided by who is superior at the start of the war. No need to mention that Adolf Hitler also had the most tanks and weapons at the start of World war 2, but we all know who lost. |
While Soludo engages those who want to agitate legally with him, the criminal elements kidnapping for ransom and committing other crimes must be dealt with by force. Again, it should be borne in mind that there is a high probability of DSS complicity in the violence to make it look as though IPOB people are beyond redemption or that they all hate non-violent Igbos. Which is not true. Simon Ekpa thinks that burning his expired Nigerian passport will save him from repatriation. The Nigerian federal government must begin processes to seek repatriation of Simon Ekpa for promoting violence in Nigeria. Although we all know that the Fulani government at the center would not take that seriously if they really think Simon Ekpa is only disturbing the peace of non-fulani interests in the southeast. As a loyal crook, Simon Ekpa does not attack the murderous herdsmen or Fulani interests. |
PrinceOfLagos: The poor Doctor was finally afforded an air ticket now that Fulani bandits would be unable to take her life. Nigeria eh! When she needed air fare to save her life, Nigeria used poor pay to doctors to ensure Fulani bandits were able to snuff out her life.

omohayek:Very valid points and exactly the truth! Why pour extra $20 billion dollars into another fake obsolete factory when we know if we give the Chinese a $1billion dollars concession, they would build a bigger and more modern steel company in Nigeria? Ajaokuta steel factory is a cash cow for Nigerian elites and Russian Oligarchs endlessly milking Nigeria through the bogus project. |
But why are they hiding the length of this runway?? Nobody ever mentions the length of the runway. WHY?? I just hope it is not because it is too short. |
