Education / Re: How To Achieve High Scores On The GRE by orgasticdance: 3:47am On Jan 18, 2018

Of course I'm shilling for Mafit. Its quite obvious. I've not even started. I'm just warming up. grin grin grin . Bro, do you know what it means to have full funding? D you know how many people would die to have that? I'll answer your question with an analogy. If you attend a church let's say MFM and you were crippled and they prayed for you and you could walk and you see another crippled man outside, no one needs to ask... in fact you will drag him to the same church.

My test scores, the school I chose, the whole application process and yes, the visa I got two days ago can be traced to my coming in touch with Mafit. So, yes... I'll speak about them more and more for whoever cares to listen. I'm sure there are tons of others that have been helped by Mafit and they are keeping quiet. I won't.

There's also an alternate universe somewhere in which you are getting 340 on the GRE and walking into MIT/full ride; still won't change my impression of you as a shameless promoter for Mafit.

First off, I wish to thank everyone who has posted and commented in one capacity or the other on this forum. Without you, this would not have been a reality. I stumbled on this forum by chance and at which time, I knew nothing about the GRE or study abroad. Of course I knew that people do study abroad, but I was not too cognitive of the process and all until I got here and was inspired by the various success stories.

Like my fore fathers here, I registered with B.Y Mafit and that was the singular wise choice I made cos everything revolves around them. I attended the free TOEFL and Free GRE classes. Got the Magoosh account, Kaplan Text, Official Guide and other materials given during lectures and group studies. Took the TOEFL classes for a month and the GRE classes for 6 weeks. Though free, they were very very vigorous. Wrote the TOEFL first. I'll share that experience another time since this is a GRE forum. I scored 110 though (There was a guy at Mafit who scored 115. Couldn't beat that target embarassed ). I did not read lots of textbooks. I just used the classes as my main study and did the additional practice recommended by our instructor (Enitan). Since that worked, I decided to use that principle for the GRE and it worked as well.

Wrote my GRE amidst lots of tension. The night before, I could not sleep. God punish tension cheesy . Had running stomach on the day of the exam and I started reciting all the psalms I could munster. grin grin grin . Was great though. The group discussions at Mafit helped, as we were fond of dealing with very difficult analytical questions. My advice is that while preparing, do not scratch the surface. Go really really deep. The more complex questions you tackle, the faster it would be to tackle the easier ones. Also, be true and sincere with yourself. For me, after I registered with BY Mafit, I didnt pick a date till I was well into the lectures and knew exactly what time I needed to be fully ready.

At the end, I scored 164 on the verbal and 162 on the quant. I know of a guy at Mafit (Dada) who scored 166 and 158 respectively. I already mailed my school and I was told I have the chances of getting full funding. I have sent other documents to them prior to this.

Once again, thank you all for helping nudge me in the right path. Now lets wait for the final decision on funding and start fasting so the VO will be nice grin grin . I sent this to Mafit to post but I guess they didn't so I had to sign up to post it myself. My advice for everyone would be to be focused and have a clear target and pursue it vigorously. Also, set aside everything to focus on this. It means a lot and it could change your life story.

Smells fishy. Sounds like you're shilling for Mafit. Only 23 posts to date and in about 60% of your posts, you're basically advertising for Mafit.
Looks like an elaborate lie then..

Foreign Affairs / Re: Trump Vs Clinton: When Did Nigerians Start Having Opinion In American Politics? by orgasticdance: 1:54am On Nov 09, 2016
You don't have to be American for the election to matter to you. Yes we should prioritize local issues, but global issues matter too. Immigration is a big deal this year. To a 14 year old Russian or Nigerian Math genius who wants to study in a country that gives him the best tools to maximize his potential, this election matters to him. Heck, to even the uneducated Syrian father of two who dreams of immigrating one day to achieve the American dream, this election matters to him.

We need to get rid of our petty fixation with national borders, ethnicity and race too. A world were millions die every year to hunger disease and war is not a world to be proud of.

Romance / Re: Women; Becoming Assets Rather Than Liabilities by orgasticdance: 11:33pm On Oct 28, 2014
Gorgeous58:
Strive to be the kind of woman who, when your man hits rock bottom, when his business fails or he is retrenched from his job, can carry the family through. You must be able to provide what he otherwise would. This thing of women who sit doing nothing, and when a man goes through a difficult period, cannot come through for him, or at least even help him make a plan, is not on.

Let us start hustling with our men. We must stop being liabilities when we have what it takes to be assets.

Ladies, what's your take on this?
Lik'ed so hard'
My mum was like that. Strong industrious woman. My dad was laid off from his very good oil job and never found his feet again. Without my mum filling the void it may have been hard for all of us. Men shouldn't see this as a license to be lazy, goes without saying.

What's your science background like? Did you do advanced math, pyhsics and chem in secondary school? If you are very comfortable in math i'll say go for it, but not naija o, where age discrimnation is much more of an issue. Out in the west as long as you have ability and you have top grades you will be needed
