Romance / Re: What Are Your Fears About Marriage ? by orgasticdance: 10:37am On Oct 08, 2013 |
How any pne can be scared or frightened about something as mundane and boring as marriage beggars belief. Most of what I find here are petty excuses for not knowing the person you end up with well enough. Perosnally i dont want to marry and settle in a society as rotten and unfair as naija. 1 Like |

Troll alert. some seriosly imaginative writer is trying to troll me on a tuesday morning. OP claims she is female but writes like a male( i can't explain, its a gut thing), at 20 you can string near perfect sentences but you live in Gombe and you claim you are poor(how is that possible?), he or she places her commas and full stops in the right places(a quality of a good writer even if the person deliberately misspells some words to appear dumb), You dated a jerk for 8 months, but um, i find that sort of ironical , someone with the kind of analytical and introspective bent some of your posts show should have the emotional verve to not date a jerk..oh u did it for for 8 months!. Meh…too inconsistent to be found in one normal nigerian..not buying…. 2 Likes |

Billyonaire: With SO MUCH investment opportunities opening up in NIGERIA, no well-informed NIGERIAN SHOULD migrate to a country laden with Debts and SHUTDOWN economy.typical naija big mans arrogance. the poor kid in a run down primary school in lafia doesnt know this and wont know this when he is 30. there are many schools like the aforementioned dotted around the landscape. no society is absolutely fair. but if ur born into the wrong circumstances in this one, ur sure as hell ending up the way u came in. social mobility in the u.s.a is almost guaranteed if u r willing to put in the work. how many unborn potential billioanires will take naija over america? |

CFCfan: The COST of living in most parts of the US is significantly higher than Nigeria. For instance, with $20,000 or less, one can buy a home in Naija; the same cannot be said for the US except if you live in one of the least populated states.food, clothing, and other basic essentials are cheaper and of better quality in america than naija! my gf makes her own hair, most hustlers and wise students cut their hair or find ways to get around those extranous expenses. u can do without that. how many places in naija can u afford a house of 3 million, in an okay location that u can work at the same time? who will give u mortgage at a single digit interest rate here in nigeria even if u have a decent job by naija's standards? |

bootlegaz:I wouldn't go as far to say, but any teenager who lived the hard life in naija and did some little economics/math in sec school should know that if you play the numbers game, the odds of doing better in america trump the odds of doing well here, all else equal. |

ozo_emeka: THANK YOUThe poorest income group in america lives off an average GDP per capita of circa $20,000-$25,000, yet it is still more than 7x that of the average nigerian. And the cost of living (basic and essentials: food, clothing etc) in america is on average less than naija. Industrialization and economies of scale makes that possible. There's a reason why America has made more self made millionaires and billionaires( a decent number immigrants and decendants of immigrants) than any other country in the world. It rewards hardword and industry better than any other country in the world. Your argument was well intentioned but you lost me when you started bashing people who responsibly take on mortgages and debt to pay off their car and consumer loans etc. That's the way a fair society works brother, No? Abi your all for the one we have in Naija were a poor man will have to wait out twenty or forty years before he owns a dream home and car. 2 Likes |
Car Talk / Re: Tariff On Imported Tokunbo Cars Raised by orgasticdance: 11:35am On Oct 04, 2013 |
Every reasonable Nigerian wants a country that can produce its own cars/goods but the execution of this major policy is DOA. A country that cannot boast of a middle class and basics like sustainable electricity, a decent road infrastructure and a burgeoning steel industry has no business with making its own cars. Segun Agangu and The minister of information Labaran Maku are just blowhards who want be seen to be working but have not thought this one through. |

Now it's their turn.as a close friend of one of MIC's nephews i'll tell u that those guys were successful because the were excellent at what they did. the same rule applies to most things in life. stop applying christian logic to something u know next to nothing about |

Politics / Re: Will You Rate President Jonathan's Media Chat Poor Or Impressive? by orgasticdance: 10:12am On Sep 30, 2013 |
Emzybrown: 99% very impressive and in sighting media chart..... indeed the best president so far in Nigeria.this quoted post may get more likes than any othr on this thread and further reinforces what's wrong with this country. the "human" beings in this country (not ghosts) who enthrone mediocrity eclipse the enlightened few; we are a country filled with mediocre people, thats why we have a mediocre president. i'll never call for gej's head again. 8 Likes |

Education / Re: ASUU Or NUT: Who Should Receive More Pay? by orgasticdance: 4:53pm On Sep 26, 2013 |
More money won't solve anything. Nigeria is on the decline and our universities and the education system represent everything that's wrong with this country. The general trend since the 80s has been one of decline so it shouldn't surprise anyone that our schools are also reflecting that trend. Our children will inherit a public school infrastrcture that will be progresively worse than the ones we and our parents attended unless something drastic ( short of a positive military coup) is done to reset the Nigerian psyche from ground-up. |
Romance / Re: Are Nigerian Girls Intimidated By Handsome Boys? by orgasticdance: 4:38pm On Sep 26, 2013 |
intimidation keh? no way. absolutely no regard. i fine small.. i have won most handsome awards in school, work etc. but i have rarely ever got a direct compliment from a naija girl. most compliments i ever got from childhood were from naija guys(not gays). but i've noticed naija yankee girls are generally more effusive with their compliments than our local naija sisters. personally i think its a culture thing i havent fully understood and the poverty level that makes our girls hold back. 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Oshiomhole Urges Students Not To Give-up On Nigeria by orgasticdance: 11:34am On Sep 09, 2013 |
moscobabs: how many of ur children dey UNIBEN or AAUExactly. his kids study/ied abroad... typical hypocricy expected from thoughtless nigerian leaders... That ur children attend nigerian universities does not automatically make u a selfless leader, granted.. but it does go a long way to 'show' that you empathize with da hustle of "ordinary" Nigerians. David Cameron who had the privilege of attending some of the best English schools in Eton and Oxford once publikly declared that his kids would attend state (or public) schools. If this happens and he eventually waxes lyrical about british youth patronizing english institutions, no one would accuse him of being hypocritical and not leading by example. But here, the opposite always reigns supreme. Oshiomole has no moral authority to exhort Nigerian youths to not give up on Nigeria simply because by his actions we have no reason to think he hasn't done so himself. |
