WE ALL KNOW OF HOW WE FEED ANIMALS JUST BEFORE THEY LAND INSIDE OUR YUMMY SOUP, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE ALMIGHTY AMERICAN MEDIA ARE DOING. GRAB A COPY OF 48 LAWS OF POWER!

NIGERIANS ARE NOT GREAT! IT IS RETROGRESSIVE BEING A NIGERIAN, FACT!

Also, no mention of the Gates & Melinda foundation whose donations helped back the emergency centre that was behind the coordinated response to prevent an outbreak. We are a cocky lot.

Thumbs up to my project supervisor for helping me curb my use of the word 'yea' or 'ya' when talking to her. But since I finished sch 2yrs back I found out that av started using those words again. Am trying very hard to stop it 4 good.

As 4 job interview my advice try as much as possible to organise ur thoughts in ur head well. Think about likely questions and the best way to answer them. I remember attending an interview and I was asked the question 'tell me abt urself?' I wasn't prepared for it and I was jst blabbing. Also I was asked what do u hate? And all I did was to stare at d man like mumu.
I totally concur. A good way to have an organized mind/thought process is to keep a diary/ daily journal in which you enter your activities for the day. I used to be a nervous wreck fresh out of school, but after I started diarizing i could handle an hour long gruelling interview because of the effortless ease with which i could recall my previous work history. Diarize over a long period of time and you'll go in very confidently to any interview. Helps in other life contexts too. Oh, it also helps to be relaxed and enjoy some good old banter with your fellow interviewees or the receptionist.

This is a different scenario altogether, she's already your girlfriend whom you love and met her without the virus but in the op case she just met this guy for the first time and upon getting to him she realized he got the dreaded virus, in the former there's been a long lasting love whereas in the latter the love (simply put lust) is at first sight. Great difference if you ask me.
agreed.

ronald4lif post=/post/26830528:
Its likely lust at first sight, love at first is a myth. Maybe you were just imagining him hitting it and you moaning. Let's even assume its love at first sight like you claim, and then getting to know him he's caring, lovable and all sorts but on the flip side he told he has a dreaded disease like the HIV virus, will it still be love at first sight or love at last sight? Point is, love at first sight hardly (or don't) exist. You have to get close to people, know them before love crawls in. Finito
Yah. I told her i would still stay even if she has HIV. Don't assume there arent people like that.

Right, so what schools/cities would you recommend for someone who has 3.5 million a year to burn on tuition+boarding+all other costs inclusive? Looking to study an Msc in either IT or Pet Engr? Trawled through the web for this info and have come up short, it's been a bit tedious, that's why I'm asking. Short of an apllications blitzkrieg to random schools in aussieland (I've sent apps to UWAS and UTasmania, was about to send 8 more) could you or anyone help me refine my search to four schools that fit my profile?

If u find the AI too difficult then maybe u are not just good enough. Who even plays with AI these days when u can play online. if u think AI is too hard then try Ultimate team online .
Dude if u read properly u would have seen that i've aready made this point earlier: I'm a division 2 player on seasons. I have a life so i don't put everything into playing games or playing online. And my favorite pes/fifa game mode is master league/career mode/be a legend/my player etc. That's why the AI issue is paramount to me wink

I finally understand your point. The 45th and 90th Minute goals stopped in 14. 15 brings an added urgency in gameplay and you can actually feel the pressure to make a mistake that is most likely going to cost you a goal. As for the difficulty settings...no...legendary is very beatable. If you find that hard then you dont even want to meet the bozos playing on Ultimate online. The experience is frustrating when you are losing and finding it hard to score. For some, a game should be fun and shouldn't require so much effort and then they pick up PES (which I totally support), for others (and I sadly fall into this category) it is a challenge and they lose every battle until they manage to win the war and then those battleworn players will tell you why PES just doesn't cut it every time. To each his own. Bartender, One plate of FIFA 15 for me and pass him a plate of PES 15. Enjoy your meal man, no time
Well, without even trying too hard I'm a division 2 player on seasons mode and divison 4 on ultimate team seasons so I certainly know how to ball on my day; you really can't bring up this "not good enough argument". I'll let it slide though, FIFA is blowing the competition away and there must be a damn good reason why people pick it up to play every year. I was close to finding out that the reason in Fifa 14, but ultimately failed in my effort. Incase ur on PSN, here's my username(smuvern).

Blockbuster kini? How about something more run of the mill like creating a twitch account or letsplay channel on youtube to broadcast my live gameplay content to the world? I.SIMPLY.CAN'T! And to add anymore to this discussion would amount to me saying water is wet. Nigeria is a lost cause on this front, sorry.

I searched the web and nairaland but couldn't find anything. Are there benefits of studying in one over the other in terms of cost of living, on campus job opportunities and sociocultural integration etc etc as a Nigerian? Or are they pretty much the same? I'm aware of the cons of a regionwide UK education as far as its immigration policy goes but I just need your thoughts on some of the shades of grey between the two countries that may be unobvious to a first time traveler.

Education / Re: Why Do We Go To School? by orgasticdance: 8:35am On Sep 30, 2014
nassyblue: The educational system here particularly in nigeria is over hyped. School is preached as having excessive benefits. Meanwhile in the world, its much more difficult. You find dropouts and entrepreneurs who didn't see the four walls of school even employing the so-called graduates. So to me education and learning is a personal thing, shouldn't be stereotyped to four walls of some large building. Discover yourself, your passions. Delve into into. Learn about it passionately. The internet alone is a better school than most of our universities here... Take advantage of it and be a better person. Thanks.
I concur. Tertiary education is a ponzi scheme that mostly serves the pockets of our policturers. The most recent prolonged strike made me reach that conclusion. Considering the labour needs of the nigerian market, i'll say only ten percent of the current enrolment should be in school. And all education is self education, I left school all these years ago, but it's still an effort everyday on my part to remain educated if i want to remain resourceful.

The ones i've been able to draft for my recommenders (I'm writing it for them haha) have been about half a page; looks scanty but i can't think of anyhting more to add about myself that won't verge on stretching the truth territory, even though everyone does that. well....I'm sure pes needs love too. I just can't see myself playing pes. it reminds me of some mediocre arcade game. lots of button mashing and less thought. by the way tactical defending has improved greatly in 15.
To each his own. At the end of the day we all have our individual tastes/needs. PES15 suits my aesthetic and gameplay needs right now. I've been getting some ok to superb 5-6 games everyday on the pes15 demo and i've thoroughly enjoyed it so far. Does it have its issues? Certainly. No game is perfect. Even my reverred NBA 2k14 get em own wahala. As I said, I am publisher agnostic and really don't care who or what company makes my games. I just want to feel like i derive good value for my time and money spent, and the moment I popped in fifa 15, it just felt like i was being thrown into the torture chamber all over again this year:Generic looking players, awkard player movement, cpu team mates clowning around like headless chickens during defensive transitions, stupid cheesy scripting implemented by the developers (that sickeneing feeling u get when ur playing on legendary and u know u have no chance against the AI, even if u r at home playing a team lower in the division that u should beat, predictably scoring on u at the 90 mins or 45 mins mark to create an artificial and unneeded air of realism. Something that should happen naturally if the gameplay were realistic and dynamic. In pes15 most goals the cpu ai score on me are usually down to my fault or some brilliant build up play( which usually adheres to reallife football physics). In PES u always have a chance, even on the highest difficulty settings, and even if u get thrashed u would have have enjoyed the effort. On fifa the AI just leaves u feeling robbed and frustrated. Key difference in my opinion.

Fifa 15 is rubbish. The player models are wack. Look at those pictures in the original post, does hazard look that tall in real life? Hazard is stout and smallish, but in fifa small players look tall. See Tim Howard looking like a body builder. I had fifa 14 on the ps4 and i put in nigh on 300+ hours on that game( playing seasons, ultimate team, proclubs and career mode). I got fed up due to the annoying AI that is almost impossible to play on legendary. Momentum/ scripting is also annoying when you play online or career mode. I've been playing soccer games since fifa 94 on sega and i can confidently say fifa 15 is a regression on how well a game should play. I'm game agnostic and would play anything out in the market regarless of who publishes it. I hated pes 14 last year, but pes 15(demo) so far looks manageable and plays much better than fifa 15 in my opinion

mrnilobrawn: Guyz...must I write GRE bf I can secure admission for masters in engineering?
No you must not, but it's generally required at competitive programs. There are a bunch of engineering programs that don't require the GRE. Search around here and google, you should come up with something. An old poster here got into a mech program at CSU, sacramento without doing the TOEFL and GRE. In any case, I'd advise you write the exam though. It's not very difficult if you prepare well. The way i rationalize it is that if you are serious about graduate study in the states you may as well start now by proving to yourself you can ace their standardized tests. Good luck.
