locodemy: Do you have up to 5m? Can you be satisfied with 7 to 10%? Are you ready to monitor a stock from 10 am to 2.30pm? Are you ready to study one or two stocks and trade only on them only on pullbacks and breakouts?
If your answer is yes,you are good to go. 7 to 10% is not bad at all if you can hit it every month or every two months. |

Lovinwa: @Mcy56,
Kindly assist, I'm a newbie.
I have been following the discussion for some time now and I appreciate all the ogas, you all are doing well.
I sent requests to my brokers on Tues, Wed and today to purchase some shares (usually sent btw 11am and 12pm) at a price but they delay for hours and towards close of biz the stock will rise and my requests won't be treated.
For example, I sent request around past 12 yesterday to purchase ETI at N4 but they delayed and price went up towards close of biz. Same thing happened today, I sent request for N4.4 at past eleven and still they didn't execute it as price went up to N4.65 around 2pm. Same thing with Access bank.
I want to request for online access, is it possible to enter my requests online and still send the same request to my broker so that I don't miss out on Tuesday? Will there be an issue if I request and also do same from their end? I'm just looking for ways not to miss out on Tuesday, Pls help a JJC. Thank you Instead of sending requests why not trade directly by your self through your brokers online platform. I am a newbie like you, I just started out like 2 weeks ago and I have been carrying out my trades by my self. Once I load my count, which takes a few minutes from the time I made transfer to my balance reflecting on the platform, I can easily bid for stocks as long as my chosen price is on offer. Trading is so easy o. |

Please o, I have a question.
Can someone live by doing jijo alone, all year round? Assuming that someone has substantial seed money. |

onegentleguy: On WAPCO, my FVE using a blend of appropriate valuation model pegs @ N28.65. ...which projects an approx 143% discount(with potential price appreciation) from the current mkt price of N11.80 !!
And for a stock with an EPS of N7.15 at present, don't rule out the possibility of a further 80-115% gain from today's mkt price in the short to mid term.
Note that the thing about the one-off accrued gain/input from the recent sale of its South African business arm was raked-off/discounted before arriving @ that N28.65 valuation.
Again, yes, there'll be bumps(the result of intermittent profit taking) along the way, but forward we shall move !!
...that coy(WAPCO) will 'go places'. Another is UACN !!
To those in; HOLD !! To those looking to align; ACCUMULATE !!
Time will help set matters straight and put them in their right perspective.
CAVEAT: NOT an investment recommendation.
Enough said. I am not trying to take away from your analysis but looking at their price history in the last 5 years WAPCO has been heading downhill. Its 52 weeks high was 17.6. What changed? Some factual information along with the analysis would have been nicer. |

emmanuelewumi: This is wrong, check out the date July 2019.
Based on last year's dividend zenith will give you a dividend yield of about 25% at the current price On 18-03-2019 they paid 250 kobo per share (valued 21.9 naira). I think that was the last record on which the evaluation was based. They probably paid a second one. 20% would not change their position a lot since they averaged over 6 years. Maybe 4th or 5th instead of 6th position. The point I was making was that they maintained above 10% average over the last 6 years. |

klas: There are some paper loss that are as good as realised loss in terms of permanence sha.
Those that bought IPOs of Transcorp, Japaul and VeritasKapital Assurance 12 years ago can attest Zenith and UBA are 6th and 8th respectively when it comes to dividend yield. Trancorp and Japaul are 80th and 93rd respectively. Recovery is very likely. Even without capital appreciation at an average of 10% return he would have recovered his losses in 7 years. Zenith dropped by 41% this year. Therefore, 25m loss evaluates to 100÷41×25m =61m 61m was his initial investment, while he has 36m left in the market. 7 years at 10% average; 36m × 10 ÷ 100 × 7 = 25.2m After 7 years he will be back where he started at 61m. |

IYGEAL: Buy about 1m units of Zenith Bank shares, with about 12m naira. Coolcash1: Zenith pays two dividends in a year; interim (30K) and final (N2.50K) making a total of N2.80. So if you want a total div income of N2M giving that the current dividend pay out is sustained, you will need to hold c.794K units (net of tax). Based on current market price, this will cost you N9.4M only. That would be placing all his eggs in one basket. I read somewhere that a good portfolio should consist of a bunch of good stocks, making it antifragile. |

meshpips: You are often too quick to cry foul.
Go and do your due diligence about the company and what it offers.
You were quick to say that my trade recommendations for the NSE were crap yet all of them with the exception of none worked exactly as I said.
A whole lot of people could have been saved of the loss they experienced holding GTBank shares if only you allowed them listen to sound counsel.
Price has come to the level I mentioned last year yet you are unrepentant. You foresaw the COVID-19 pandemic or you are saying the recent fall in GTBank shares (the others too) was a result of some other causes? |

Stegomiah: What I don't get is how in movies, series and in life... People make some really bad decisions and they will say it's for their family or their kids.... Like don't you know what to expect when you lying in. Bed with a drug cartel
People kill, maim others, Rob others all in the name of... I'm doing it for my family... Why not start by making the right choices I wouldn't blame the Byrde family somuch, it was more like a struggle for survival, season 1 did a good job in showing us how they were forced to join the cartel. They should have fled after delivering the casino, but the desire for power was too much. I think Wendys ambitions in particular put them in jeopardy. |

For me, Ozark season 3 deserves a solid 10. Great show, the interactions were on point.
But eh, I can't seem to decide whether Wendys brother, Ben was just bipolar or plain batshit crazy. His inability to see cause-effect relationships was on another level.
And, the choice Wendy had to make in the end, oh boy! |

Mcy56: Oh! You bought higher nah. Why not ask before clicking "submit" button? It was currently selling for 11.50.....but still okay anyway. * "Limit" allows you to put the price you wish to buy or sell yourself while "Market" will automatically input the "previous closing price". * You may not be able to identify you transaction(s) on the "Market Trade" cos it shows all market transactions as it's been carried out. * When it shows green under the "Order" it means your trade has been executed already. Yellow shows its on queue. Light green shows its half-executed. I have seen my trade on the "market trades", I pinpointed it with time of trade. I actually got it at 11.65, I checked. Can I request for some form of certificate assuming I want to hold it mid to long term? Thank you. |
