Good day house. I trust we all are doing great. please I want to confirm from people using American Express card if it is recognised in UK to use it to build credit scores?

A friend was telling me that American Express card is not recognised to use it to build credit, he said I should use banks cards like Halifax and other good banks. I was a bit confused and said let me confirm from my Nairaland family. I have been using American card and I got the link here. The only thing I know that credit Karma tells me is to try to increase my limit to £4k to increase my scores. pls I need advice if American Express card is recognised in building credit. Also I want confirm if I should increase the limit to help my score as credit Karma said. Thanks you

Sometimes, it looks we are afraid of doctors that we pay but it doesn't have be so. Dear why not ask the doctor. Dear you send me am email which I cannot open, do you remember.i can see your email but can't access it
Atimes, I feel the way some pple respond to post here is not okay. some of us here don't know any medical terms, even when the doctor explain, we still need to ask to get other pple options and advice, especially those that had it, what their experiences were.

I am not afraid of my doctor I pay. we ask questions to get pple experiences to also help us to ask more questions when we have appointment with doctors.

Yes my own doctor said something about reducing it, but the way he said it ( is try to reduce your carbohydrate) to me I taught that is normal thing like reduce your fatty food.

I have to still send this result to another doc to still check and she pointed it out, she just chatted me and explained that it need to be less. and it affects fertility, I was concerned, so I posted to get pple options which I am glad I did. At least I can confirm from my doctor on the medication to use to reduce it

I posted this post in diff fertility group and to my greatest surprise see comments, no body responded to me the way u did , pple shared their experiences and I even got advices. with all these comments and advices it will make me to ask my doctor more questions when next I have appointment.

pls all of us are here to seek knowledge and get pple experiences . we should endeavour to help one another, no matter how the person send the post. Thank you.

In the one hour after embryo transfer your Doctor may ask you to remain laid down that’s all.
After that any position you sleep in and what you eat does not really matter to be frank.
You have done your part and it’s up to your body to stick or not.You can even go back to work but take it easy.
just to ask can one who come from far place travel back after two days when the embryo is transfer?

Ralphlauren:
Are you planning to get your score to 100000?

You are just stressing yourself for nothing.

The higher range credit score takes years to achieve and there are several factors that impact achieving that high score.

Applying for multiple lines of credit will not increase your credit score. It will either stagnante your score or decrease it. Instead stick to one line of credit (maximum 2), maintain excellent account usuage and work on increasing your credit limit for each line of credit. Imagine having a limit of £16,000 on amex, what other credit card am I looking for againhuh

You can get a mortgage with your existing score. Lenders look at a lot of factors and not necessarily your credit score. I have seen new immigrants (those on tier 2) without credit cards get mortgages within a year in this country and in one example, one of the named individuals on the mortgage application (spouse) wasn't even on the electoral roll.

The underwriters look at a lot of factors- your occupation, employer, how long you've been employed, how far you are from retirement age, affordability, outgoings, number of dependents, account usage, income, etc.

This is why is a good mortgage broker is worth their weight in gold. They can package your application to the underwriters highlighting all the positive factors and mitigating any risks or concerns that the underwriters might raise.
nice one. Thanks

Place the embolden on standing order and use Credit Ladder, Loqbox (sign up using my link https://www.loqbox.com/en_gb/loqbox-invite?referral_code=SZJ9DXFXHX&referral_channel=link) to report the rent payment to credit agencies. You can report previous payment as currently is if you make the transfer same time monthly. The apps would pick it up from your bank account.
ok. Thank u

Estroller:
Try to space out ( 6 months or more apart) your credit applications. Too much credit applications within a short period will leave a -ve impact on your credit profile.

Try not to miss any payment, best way to do this is by setting up a direct debit to pay off your balance or the minimum payment at the least.

If you can, try not to change address so frequently.
Ok. Thanks . I set up direct debit and I have paid all my bills without missing payment

It takes time instead of looking for who will lend you money.
You can rent an apartment without bills and pay energy and water bills yourself
I do that. all my bills I pay with direct debit

water bill
council bill
tv licence
EE contract
American Express repayment.
I pay my house rent every month but not on direct , as I receive my salary I transfer to my land Lord .

light bill is prepaid I just recharge with my account

Compliments of the season everyone. So I passed my driving test yesterday with 3 minors. I remember when I came here to complain some months back about my instructor (whom I did change) and driving in general.lol.
I had never driven before, had between 35- 40 hours and passed first time. I'm not a motivational speaker or anything but if I can drive and pass the test, Anybody can! My family still can't believe I passed. They couldn't even believe I was learning cos I can fear for Africa.
congrats. pls did u use automatic or Manuel. I am using Manuel and I am finding it difficult to change gears and turn. I am getting tired now of learning how to turn.

Dates, pineapples, scent leave, potash ( or anything washed or prepared with it like snails) unripe pawpaw or better still avoid it for now .

Other Mamas can state more . Wish you a successful implantation.
but I learnt that pineapple is not good for early pregnancy , even scent leave. some one I know ate scent leave and had miscarriage.
