Or whatever foreign crazy fees, they charge now ....... ok. Thank you. can one qualify after three years or till when i get indefinite leave? |

vikaosi: Thank you very much. I didn't see any test of English while applying. I guess it is not a requirement for a spouse visa. Thank you. Hmmm! test of English is very compulsory otherwise your application will be refused. i will advice you to quickly register for IELTS test, it is very simple. make sure u do the one for B1, it takes u to applying for indefinite and citizen. If you do A1 it last only for 2.5 years, u will still pay and renew another one here in the uk if you are applying for further leave to remain. All the best Test of English requirement is one of the primary requirement for spouse visa, they need to be sure you have knowledge of English. |

HollyMadison: Disclaimer first, I’m just speaking from acquired knowledge. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Yes, you can buy a house.
Mortgage end age is 65-80. Most lenders cap at 70-75, so you’ll have about 25years to pay back which is good.
Lenders will give you around 4.5 of your annual salary, your expected mortgage is dependent on if your £1,600 is before or after tax… so you can just do the calculations yourself.
You don’t need to use the full £20k on deposit, your deposit will probably be £10k… you can use the remaining £10k on renovations and upgrades as you’ll most likely buy a “not-so-new” house. You just gave me hope Thank you |

TheGuyFromHR: Age is a factor in the length of the mortgage you can get. The number of working years you theoretically have left (leaving aside the fact that people can work beyond the retirement age if they choose and are able to) will determine what your lender will give you. So if you're nudging 50, you can realistically except nothing more than a 20 year mortgage, for instance, and some might offer less.
Secondly, your salary will determine how much a lender is willing to offer you based on affordability criteria, i.e. how much you can pay back based on how much you earn, joint family income, things like that. They have criteria they use to determine that (e.g. 4 times earnings, 5.5 times earnings, etc.).
With your annual salary of about 24k, and a 5 - 10% deposit, all other things excluded (do you have children, etc.), you'd probably qualify for a mortgage of about 130k/140k. Thank you |

Ralphlauren: Its not just about having a deposit. The bank looks at affordability. That is, can you pay your mortgage monthly through the term of the mortgage without defaulting? You need to have stable and regular income to demonstrate affordability.
If you have a job that covers your expenses including the monthly repayments, then you are good to go. please i heard that age factors also affects buying house in the UK. Does age factor affects pls? like if someone is 45 -50, can the person buy a house? Then someone that have a permanent job and been paid £1600 every month, and keep saving £1000 every month for two years to have £20,000 down payment, can that person be able to buy a house with that kind of salary? Must my salary be bigger than £1600? Thank you for your response. |

wonyi: 1. Ask the doctor for a list of the test required by you and your partner
2.Ask if you could run your test at your present location.
3. Tell him you would want your donor stimming (close to egg retrieval) before coming.
4. You may be specific on some physical qualities you want in your donor. They should get her ready.
5. Read through the thread and get prepared. Ask questions. If you have some Embryos after transfer, freeze them.
6.with the above, you and your partner should spend fewer weeks in Nigeria.
Success Thank you so much |

Tutu82: Every ivf done in the Uk is expensive you are best looking at other European places like Greece where their rules is more relaxed and can go over a certain limit. Uk Fertility treatments for a single range from £7000 as high as £20,000 for a cycle depending which clinic you go to so a clinic like createhealth in Wimbledon will be cheaper than one in Harley street even though they do the same thing.
When you see it advertised as £2,500 like abcivf does it is just to draw you in by the time they add blood tests, medication and Hfea fees too well over £10,000. Women especially those of colour actually travel from the Uk to Nigeria for treatment not the other way round as it is more personalised.
Good luck on your Journey and i hope i have shown you a bit for light. Thank you |
