By Lakanye,Stay black? You didn't remember that when you were humping white thrashy women on one night basis? I think you need more prayers in your need found church and I may advise you to look for a spouse within your church. You sound so alienated from the modern society and if you ever try to marry in Nigeria to a hook up wife, you'll be another baby daddy besides, American women are better when it comes to taking care of step children than Nigerian women because they are very used to it. If you love your two daughters dearly, stick with American women from YOUR CHURCH and not those from the STRIP CLUB. You are a victim of bad choices, same would've happened to you if you picked women from the streets in Nigeria, s, it's not their Americaness that is the problem, it's the gutter they came from that is following them around. Again, with all your education you still do not practice safe sex? Are you nuts or are condoms more expensive than rice in FLA? |
In fact, that will be my catalyst to refusing him quickly. If he buys a ring that's within his pay, that's okay with me because I know i'm not marrying a guy who can only afford a $25 ring.LMBAO, attagirl! Go girl, |
I wish that those girls that call Osun women "tar- black" should heed this advise vehemently. |
sad, it's time for the older onesones start showing eample to the youngerIn Nigeria? Older men should start by stopping their frequent trips to our various universities because they want to sleep with girls younger than their last born. |
By Usurpry,True, same goes to education, cars, marriage itself, food etc all is vanity but shall we discard them because they are vanities? |
Yes i love rocksWho doesn't? As long as you don't become obsessed with it and send your man to rob a bank because you want the best. I tell you, half of these men here will not agree to spend more than $1K in rock irrespective of how much they have. |
Whether fit or not.Don't say that because all of us will get old one day and may find ourselves in her shoes. If 50 yr old men can marry 25 yr old women, why shouldn't a 40 yr ol woman marry a 25 yr old man? |
By the way, I saw Xplosion last night, that obi okoli is one hell of an actor. It's a very beautiful movie and I am giving it a 9/10. The movie for sure is better than most crap that come from hollywood these days like Michael Clayton(George clooney), I am legend(Will smith) etc. |
Another thing they need to eradicate in our movies is the issue of tribalism, most of the movies are full of igbo actors and their movies are related to igbo culture and community they should mix it up for beeter acceptance by all nigerians.I don't think so. I think the issue of the origin of the ibo movie industry came into play here. Nollywood is simply the former ibo movie industry baptized. If Nollywood is an ibo industry/culture, so be it. We have yoruba movies too, nobody is forcing the yorubas to make their movies in a certain way to appeal to other Nigerians and beyond. If bini,s Ishans, Efik's etc want to bring their culture to limelight, they are free to start their own movie empire. Igodo which was a great nollywood epic is a Benin empire folk story but ibos converted it to a motion picture and attributed it as an ibo story. Does that mean the Benin people should hold them liable for plagiarism? I hope you know this movie business was pioneered by the yorubas, ibos can't take that away from them but the problem here is that ibos invested more into the industry and I bet you, it's working because these actors are cutting international deals here and there besides, Nollywood is projecting many non ibo stars/directors these days although the theme of their movies still sorrounds the ibo culture. It's obvious from all and sundry that in ten years time, Nollywood will be bigger than the IBO'S whether they like it or not. I still give them thumbs though for creating one thing that actually worked in Nigeria. Besides oil, Nigeria used to export lots of things but these days we only export oil and movies. It wont hurt to encourage them. If somebody can risk his/her money to produce a Nigerian movie where there is no functioning theatres, 90% piracy etc and not even the vending machines to recoup the production money, wouldnt that be commendable? How many of you here will agree to invest $10K in a movie in Naija knowing full well that Aba pirates are watching you? It's kind of funny that most Nollywood critics are their movie addicts and they are the ones that cannot pay a dime but prefer to pay the pirates less to see the movie. |
While other african nationals who also watch Hollywoodd and Bollywood movies praise Nollywood, Nigerians are busy pointing at the nitty gritty of the movie industry from their couch. If Nollywood is crappy as most of you point out here, WHY CONTINUE WATCHING AND PIRATING THEIR MOVIES?. Nigerians can even criticize God one day and I think it's the side effect of bribery, greed, maltreatment from their govt that has plagued them for years. |
My former church recently already damaged after my former pastor were mistook putting a church flyer invitation with age restriction (18-25) going to single women retreat conference, that was the result lot of middle-aged single/divorced women were upset and left church after saw the church flyer. I was one of them.Did that hit you as a surprise from a man that called you cradle the rubber? |
Me neitheeer, I'm definately going to have nightmares tonightWhy? Dwayne/Jones is no worse than Usher and his new wife. |
@OsunAmazonAre they not losing the power? The financial power will soon balance between both genders and women will slowly take over their remaining half. We got education more than them, we survive better under harsh conditions, we dont pay for sex, we have more self control keeping lots of us out of jail and we hold the cradle to life. What else remaining? Praytell Hilary Clinton takes over the white house and see men here turn to second hand slaves. Nonsense. |
ahahah I still can't get the image off my headDrink hennessey and the image will clear off. |
Lol referring to my pastor's remark!!! Yeah, I don't care what my former pastor think! Too harsh to criticize among too many single/divorced women with children at my former church.I see the overflow of wdivorced women with children strictly as mens fault. They are fewer than us in this world but they surely have a way of controlling our minds and making us feel that we are surplus which is not necessarily true. That's why most divorced women suffer from low self esteem and i think it shouldnt be that way. The pastor should be more interested in encouraging those women to go through life than calling them names. He's lucky I'm not in his church. |
What do you mean by this " Why is life and society so unfair to women?", how soYea, when women are reffered to as Cradle the rubber, cougar, old hen etc but men remain playas etc. I wish the world will adopt your "aristo" baptism and keep calling them that. Again, I used to think that 'aristo' means extra Hot sugar daddy? I don't think it's a befitting name for men that prey on younger women. Why not a name like 'He-Swine'? |
You ought ask someone who invents 'COUGARS'. I assumed that you have been watch DR. PHIL talk show about 'COUGARS' yesterday afternoon on the TV show (May 2, 2008). I don't know why society gave a funny name 'COUGARS'. My former pastor called me 'CRADLE THE ROBBER', that I never understood why he called me until I found out later it talked about age difference. (2 yr difference not bad)Rarely watch TV shows, Dr Phil, Oprah, Tyra etc. It's just that it irks me why men that have been doing this all these while turned around to give a "fancy" name to a women that followed their footsteps. Your pastor's remark on you may not go down well with some people especially this chic here. I don't care what he is. Imagine? Cradle The Robber? What is he? Cradle The tyre? |
Sunny Neji: What do you guys think about him? Nigeria's Brian McKnight Abosede: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjpYjFOtcKA Oruka: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qqo9HdSbm1Q |
Another good one from Naija: Resonance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-b0-7LOYXrQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvNEiIJ8S3Y&feature=related This girl sounds more like sade Adu and I think she'll go places only if she can slow down on using vernacular to sing. Can somebody give me an idea of what she's saying? I like her song. |
Too many older men reject dating older women- - -same age, NO REASON!!! Prefer opposite attractive in 10 years age difference! Therefore, no choice for too many single older women not find any decent guys same age, choose younger men BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!!I'm not against it, the only problem I have with it is why those women should be quickly named by the society. Why give them a funny name? |
Cougars is hot cake in the USA since late 2000s, not only celebrities! Ordinary people with all kinds of social class too!!!Why does the society call women like that cougars when they kept mum on men that has been doing since time immemorial? |
Another Naija world standard Musician: ASA(ASHA): Fire On The Mountain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8cwIkSPFhE Go Girl!!!!! |
He sounds more like NAS. I think am his new fan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbbrP8BOyAE&feature=related And https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4tQYCrk0zo&feature=related |
Do any of you have further information about this Ibo Boy guy? Did he grow in Nigeria because he sounds like akata to me especially the girl. This is the best hiphop I've heard from Naija. I'll bet my money that girl is not Nigerian. Naija don dey tryooohhh. Watch them here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YmNYMwsLNc&feature=related |
There is a growing interest on older women by younger men nowadays especially among celebrities. Nick Canon just married Mariah Carey and there are rumours that Dwayne Wade has a thing for Star Jones. But my question is this, since this is not a new thing because men has been doing it all along, why are women who like younger men refered to as COUGARS? Do we also have a name for 45 yr old men getting jiggy with 22 yr old women? Why is life and society so unfair to women? |
@posterIs it not hardship that led him to do that at age 52? There is a high likelihood that he hasn't been a drug dealer. At 52? common man. |
cause we're still living in colonial mentality that tend to divide us into 1000 parts. That means that education contributed a lot besides, it seems from this argument that religion is a more dangerous weapon in Nigeria than tribalism. |
Nigeria will be a better place if there is a freedom of marriage without the influence of parents, relatives and friends comming in with objections. Why are Nigerian parents not getting it? It's 21st century duh! Their children do not buy the idea of Osun must marry Osun, Ijebu must marry ijebu, ibo must marry anambra, ishan must marry ishan etc. |
@posterNo, i think she's greedy. First of all, a diamond engagement ring is an adopted western culture and shouldnt be the base for our marriage. The Chinese and Indian people do not give diamond rings although they have other expensive things they give that are not like diamonds anyway. There are many rich guys in Niaja, guys that can afford a $1M diamond ring but did not buy their fiancee such because it's not our culture. What will she do next? ask him to buy her $100 rose flower? Nevertheless, i found out that it's those people that buy you expensive stuff that end up treating you like thrash. |
show me that that girl that will love you for who you are and i will show a perfect girl.God, how do we just make statments like we are reading novels. face it nobody can love you for who you are. who are you by the way? who you are means what? do you love her for who she is?You beat me to that, that notion does not exist anymore in century 21. |
Please don't call them pastors because they are not.I don't think they are either. I think they are babalawos wearing suit and carrying bibles for camouflage. These days, women consult these pastors to tell them whether this man is good enough for them to marry or not when our parents married each other without consulting anyone. While I dont find anything terribly wrong with it, I just don't know how the guys picture should enter the equation. Here in America, lots of Nigerian women send their guys picture for necessary prayers unto God through these pastors to know the mind of God. I also think those pictures are sent to speed up they guys mind into making the marriage decision. The world is just evil and I pity Nigerian men because most of them are yet to wake up to the reality of this current evil. I'm just waiting vehemently for any woman that will do that to my brother. |
By Adesuwa,It has nothing to do with faking. She knows the guy does not make anything more than $60K/PA and honestly it's not the amount he is making that is the problem. Her anger was she believed he should've gone out of his way to show her that she means his whole world. I mean, this is America, he can buy an expensive ring on credit with a 3 -5 yr payment plan. Why do females attach so much importance on a damn ring? Especially after watching American celebrities throw a lavish wedding only to end up in divorce court years later. |
