Little about the evolution of the artist, little about the tempo of the songs, little on the variance in the album, little on the genre, little on the potential or relevance of the album in the industry. Looks like a promotion of the album than a review. |
Peace. |
Congratulations. May your union be beautiful. |
Run. |
Why don't you do this, and compare this place with a finer and well structured city or town? Asaba indigenes would come online to tout how remarkable and beautiful the place is, when actually it is not. The roads are tarred, but poorly tarred, there are hospitals but it's not equipped with staff or healthcare equipment. Folks too, would come here and present edited images of their school, making the management and the government very comfortable... When actually, the school, its library, toilets, classes 'is' an eyesore. Why not compare your current state to what is obtainable in saner climes? Asaba will be great or comparable when you use your camera to highlight the defect, and let us shame those in charge, the commissioners and all...calling them out... but you don't know your representatives, not to mention your commissioners. We have a long way to go, really. Do a video, that will help attract investors to your state, bringing employment and infrastructural development, do a video, that shows our needs. Folks die in government hospitals due to power outage and very insignificant reasons... use your video to highlight this, and this platform to call em out. You are not alone. |
That could be any of us, really. ,if not you, a family then. Truth is, if you are there as well, you will likely not go near...and you will rebuke your brother or sister if they attempt to help. Even if you are a professor or pastor or imam... Your behavior may not be different. It is the year to be heroes. Very decent people however will cautiously help; protecting themselves and the fellow... Calling on emergency healthcare providers, understanding, that their vehicles can be cleaned... but that moment lost due to their fear, may cost a generation. God give us courage to help each other, and do that which we can...though out of our comfort. |
Management information, Performance Management and Case Study students would find this helpful. |
Timely and appropriate response would have done a great deal. but instead, power and oppression is employed. Again, timely and appropriate response as regards him using his power to bury the case would do a great deal. But instead... |
Marley is entertaining. Especially offstage. |
Healthy decision for our democracy. Political ideology matters, but what is terrible is not the lack of it, but rather, the thought of an unelected individual having so much power over us all. |
Hehe, Rather than getting folks out of there as soon as possible. They'd rather, everywhere is filled with people waiting; and with the crowd, social distancing becomes difficult/impossible. During Normalcy, sometimes in Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, you have to stand because there is no available seat_ in the departure lounge (new and old) and as at then, there is no 'you have to be here, 3 hours prior'. May God give our leaders wisdom to guide us through this. |
Someone, pls wake President Buhari. |
Thank you. If you think that we have up to hundred thousand Nigerians that will refuse lunch with Orji Uzo Kalu_ then you are wrong. Here, we canonize thiefs. And the current most powerful politician (the owner of bullion vans) we all know it is our common wealth he rides upon yet many that won't care for their future generation will vote and fight for him and his likes. |
Seem more like, the committee attacked the soldiers. Modified- the body and the topic = contrary. |
If you just want to sleep with a girl, why don't you just go to the brothel? It is not normal to have sex on first date. Somehow, this triggers the potential rapist. |
Ok |
Good.No lady is at fault for being raped! |
Ok |

Peace. Now all that remains are your deeds. |
The president of her country has better credential. |
Not a piece for the mainstream media. Even this platform is lending itself to that narrative. Trump actually has enhanced my understanding of the neomarxian 'cultural hegemony' especially as it relates to politics, journalism and the media. There is a massive false consciousness being perpetuated by these platforms. They inform our desire, shape our opinions and determine our agenda's. The self acclaimed intelligent ones clamour that facts don't matter, exacerbates occurrences to suit their needs. But the true intelligent ones are not the opposite either; rather, they understand the truth is to be sought as it is hidden and kept from by very powerful institutions. They think beyond the matters of oratory and the assertions of logic, to the basis of reality and actions. They ask; what is my business with the thoughts of supporters and naysayers of this president? and what is the intention of those that suffocate me with such? They ask; what is the history of this man, his records; not to determine his competence but to have a broader understanding and an expectation of his behavior. They ask; what has this president actually done or said? And why does the mainstream media implies at every opportunity to call his administration an inept, failed one? They ask concerning Africans, are we deserving of his loyalty than his people or should he put the needs of your opinions and thoughts over the safety of his people? Where was US economy before the epidemic? Is demanding for credentials an evidence of racism or what exactly has been his reaction towards the senseless murder of Floyd? Did he call the family to share his sympathies? Have your president ever done this? Did he demand for justice, condemning the actions of the cops headson? What will some gain in ensuing demonstration in America? And ask why should demanding for peace, a stop to violence, anarchy and looting be seen as racist behavior by you? What role has the media played? Who controls this media and to what extent is their narration determined by the mob and the wealthy? And finally, why you know more about America politics, than Nigeria? Why, despite the assertions from the mainstream media that America has institutionalized racism, is it top spot for migrants all over the world? And why do millions in the middle east or Africa see America as heaven and the best gift they can give their descendants, if it is institutionally racist or islamaphobic? And why should wanting the place to be more secured, building walls or fences while not destroying bridges be thought of by you to be evidence of racist behavior? It is politics. Trump emerged putting the establishment of the parties (democrat, Republicans and the media) to a massive test- and folks began to reflect. Certainly, they want back. But it is not beyond politics, this reportage. Don't be too dispensable to being a pawn in their games. Retain your ability to reason, be interested in the right knowledge, not from the media but from the library. And spend your strength on ours. Let us talk know about Ribadu too, if he will continue to make progress in the direction of president Buhari. Let us discuss about Atiku and Tinubu, evaluate how they own our mainstream media in Nigeria and why EFCC cannot pursue justice with them, let us discuss Sowore; our future, our past- and why we should pray for the emergence of Iweala while considering her bias for the western economy. |
And tell. So we are still in 2015? May those that died because of the behavior of this woman and those in poverty and sorrow because of her, and those like her with bullion vans,- may they and their household only find peace when they have made restitution to those that have suffered because of her(them). |
The baby's wailing would win a Grammy. |
Ok. Should be backdated too. I am 'not' sure Nairaland pays tax already. |
When will Nigerians life matter? Even though Floyd was once an armed robber, his life still matters, even though there is no history of Floyd doing something remarkable or helpful to his community, his life still matters. In Nigeria, the mob kills a boy who steals bread, strip, molest and lynch a girl who stole; not armed robbery, not police brutality; it is we the people, their lives don't matter. Nigerians don't know the name of any of the hundreds of youth killed by the police or army; their lives don't matter. But we know Floyd name, and don't know the name of our brothers killed in south Africa . when will your life begin to matter? In America, it is when a white man has killed you. If you want your life to matter, get visa, do a wrong, resist arrest and make sure you pray that you provoke a stupid cop to kill you, while your friends are recording. Don't ever get killed in Chicago by a black person or black cop, those ones, their death or lives don't matter. And no celebrity like Kanye west will donate to the library or schools in those communities or help to bring black folks there out of poverty and crime and violence. In Nigeria, you have no such opportunity for your life to matter. Have you seen Uwa story on CNN or people saying her life matter too? We have more post on Floyd on nairaland front page than their is on Uwa. Rape, police brutality, even racism - is everyday reality in Nigeria. -And your influential celebrities and Africa Union is quick condemn the killing in America but not the hatred black south Africans showed on the much of Africa months back. Continue to defend the corrupt and campaign for those who steal your Commonwealth and continue to ensure the lives of your generation unborn don't matter. Look inward; at the hypocrisy we evoke. Maybe then, we can begin to work towards making our lives matter. |
And if any have died because in his duty, he stole the money for their road and healthcare facilities and denied the people a terrain to grow, looting their Commonwealth. May they suffer too, they that rejoice or sympathize with such. |
Don't tell your parent anything. Or you want to kill them too? Pretend as though you are still in school, collect money for books, get your school fee by yourself; use the money to drink and have all the fun you can, take drugs, just have fun. Never make the mistake of writing another Jamb or reapplying. Who studies biological science? You are far beyond that. In the next three years, go to wherever in Lagos and get a university MBBS certificate. Travel to the north, you will get a job. Pay your tithe. You will be forgiven for those that die in your care. It is their time_ right? The best Sir--+ and don't forget to hide or delete the diary where you said you are studying engineering. May you get the attention that you seek. |
