[quote author=Cuddlemii link=topic=761794.Some mothers even taught their daughters how to fend or provide for the family because they were lazy in their time too & only know that way of life. Women should get industrious, even if you are not a millionaire, at least die with integrity so that your daughters can emulate you as their role model.

absolutely! i ve heard a mother in nigeria when i was in naija, telling her daugther not to give it (sex) away for free, and that her "ting" is worth a fortune so much for morality grin grin grin grin eeh,

i fear for the future of Nigeria if we allow all the foreign companies to open up department stores , fruits and vegetable stores which should be within the purview of Nigeria business. If they want to invest in Nigeria, they should invest in high tech sectors and services sector where we lack technical know how . China, India rejected tesco and walmart from setting up supermarket .even here in the uk , these companies have squeezed out life from local bakaries , fruit shops and vegatable etc. Now we have spar in nigeria, OMG . Cant our govt protect its own ?
i agree, or maybe we should just sell nigeria to china or the highest bidder country so that they can own everyhing in nigeria including the citizens, grin grin grin grin that is if naija govt have`nt already done that behinde our backs grin grin grin

well, i am a man and i think its wrong for a man to beat his wife i have never and will never beat my wife or girlfriend, my sisters husband was beating her and slapping her around just because she had five kids for him (all girls) and his reason was why does she always have only girls not a boy, at one time he gave her a big black eye i only found out because she couldnt cover the eye, and what i did to this guy? i broke his nose AND HE WAS CRYING LIKE A BABY, i did to him what he did to my sister and he didnt like it, ever since he never lay a finger on her. these men are cowards its not frustration, btw now shes got two boys, he only had to be patience. guys please do not beat your wives they are your wives!! not punching bags!!

I just recently returned from Nigeria after years and was expecting to see a big improvement due to the positive comments I constantly read here on NL but not much has changed. . . .In fact things were a lot worst!

Case in point. I don’t like flying very much so as one would expect after an unavoidable 6 hour flight into MM, I chose the option of travelling by road to Sapele from Lagos. Now I have been on this journey before and I distinctly remember it only taking about 5-6 hours. . . . Lo and behold the journey now takes around 10+ hours because of the ridiculously bad road section at Ore, Ondo State.
How did the road deteriorate that much?

And don’t get me started on the light situation, the fact that no one is willing to risk their lives going once it gets dark as well as the fact that everyone expects a little something for doing what they have already been paid to do. i.e. We had already paid for our tickets but the driver of the bus still wanted all passengers to contribute N300 each for so he could buy ‘fuel’ because he had to take another route to avoid the bad road at Orehuh Hello. . .You no know say you go take anoda route before? Abi did the road become bad yesterday?? I tire! It is things like this that make me glad that I don’t live in Nigeria. Imagine if a driver of a National Express Bus from Edinburgh to Manchester asking the passengers who had already purchased their tickets to give him extra money because there was a bad road section on the M6??
grin grin grin grin grin wellcome to naija

Went to MTN Customer Care at Surulere cos i had a problem with my internet modem. They said it could not be fixed so i had to buy a new one. The guy now helped me transfer the credit from the old sim to the new one. Do u know that he transferred N500 to his own phone? I went home and noticed that there was no N500 extra that shld have been there. At first, i thought it was not possible but i continued calculating and then found how to check the outgoing messages on the modem. I called him by 4am and told him to return my credit or i will make sure he loses his job and cut the phone. He sent it sharp sharp. That was the last time i went there. Such a thief. Wish i could remember his name.

"Worstest" customer service, The Nigerian Police (Edo State)Okada to Benin

Drive from Lagos to Ore, mopol wont waste your time once you greet them well.
But from Okada to Benin, if u stop for those policemen (black uniform), u must roger.
o boy! those people  are not police the are just criminals no need to mention them, unless you wan make them discharge "accidentally" grin grin grin grin
