@ Carshopper,

The beer conversation seems to interest you. It looks like you love beer. grin grin grin
yea i think he does, so do i, dont you? not in that sort of way grin grin grin grin grin grin grin anyway the idea of regulating the sales of car in nigeria sounds hipocritical, where everything else goes like bribes, looting , intimidations e.t.c a country were if you report a crime you get arrested, you run some one over with your car and you still put them in prison for runing them over, the makers of this laws dont even keep the laws them selfs

The younger generation may not know this, but Nigeria was once a properly managed country. In the 70s, beer parlours were required by law to display the kind of license they have. It was not uncommon then to see beer parlours with signs reading "Wine and Beer: On License" meaning you can buy beer there and drink it on location. Also there were "Wine and Beer: Off License" and "Wine and Beer: Off and On License" signs.
yes but the topic is not about "beer and wine" infact  alcohol  shuold most definately regulated, and why not start from the top to regulate like agberos, pure water sellers, moi moi sellers, bukateria, phone cards sellers  e.t.c
Car TalkRe: Vehicles From Unauthorised Dealers Won't Be Registered - Lagos by otiigba1(m): 11:51am On Jul 02, 2011
seem like we all do not accept this rubbish idea, so what do we do to stop it from happening because i am a regular importer of cars from europe (resident in england) this is not good for me, not only it will waste my time it will also cost me more with all the bribes and everything else, and can delays sales

You appear to be against the law being proposed in Lagos. But by listing what is required to be a used car dealer in Georgia, you have unwittingly made a clear case in favour of the Lagos proposal. If car dealers in Georgia are required to "Obtain a place of business, making sure that the location meets all zoning requirements", why shouldn't the same apply in Lagos. Are you happy with the fact that every street in Lagos is littered with cars for sale.

Your write up is the best example so far why the Lagos proposal may be a good one though that may not have been your intention.
absolutetly! i think he didnt realise that, he may have just agreed with fashola

CelebritiesRe: Wizkid And Skales Were Denied American Visas In Nigeria by otiigba1(m): 10:10pm On Jun 26, 2011
MRbrownJAY:
unfortunately many top artists do the same thing: Lil wayne did it and was refused a visa in Europe and a few yrs ago (2006 i think) Jay Z was refused a visa in China a few days before the sold out concert.

bwaaaaah, bro dont change the subject as you STILL MAKE NO SENSE. this is what you first wrote:"it means they are not important, thats why they were refused the visa, what kind of music are they going there to play that america never heard of its like selling there their own market to them, and also they are not up to american standard in music

for your information, the US Gov. doesnt give visa (or refuse to) based on how big/famous/important an artist is (or not) but its all about if the paperwork is legit and ok TO THEM. you could be an unknown village artiast with no record deal, and still get a visa to go perform in the US for some event about your village aka marriage etc (if all the paperwork is legit).

as for going on the run, do you really believe that it will be THAT difficult to find them if they did?! who do you think they are, Cubans?! pls, you stop making yourself look @&%#! than you are.
also it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the type of music they do, if its good or not etc. there is a plausible reason why they were refused, they know what that reason is, and it sure has nothing to do with "american standard of music"

you are entitled to your opinion about the music they do , but as we can see by the thousands who bought tickets for the show(and even flights), they ARE worthy to some and cannot be compared with corrupted criminals politicians with looted money in their foreign bank account who have been refused visa.
ok! i get it! You are a big fan of their music and am not, no! wahala!
CelebritiesRe: Wizkid And Skales Were Denied American Visas In Nigeria by otiigba1(m): 8:42pm On Jun 26, 2011
MRbrownJAY:
you sir, are making NO SENSE at all. it doesnt matter WHAT music they are going to play OR if they are even famous. a promoter can bring whichever artist he pleases and that has got nothing to do with the American gov. or the standard of music in the US.

so because YOU dont know an artist so they shouldnt get a visa to perform?! as Dayokanu rightly said: AXE YOUR MOMMY!!!!!!!
co's its got something to do with american gov. they are the ones issuing the visa, like i said before they not that important besides they might go on the run and dissapear in the states, it happens some times and to correct you its not because i ve never heard of them, they are not worth it!! more important people are refused some times too like politicians, if you find these difficult to understand well, err, you can go!!! AXE YOUR MOMMY!!! grin grin grin grin

when I 1st got here, was intent on seeking out a few Nigerians to be friends with so I go feel at home small,Oh booy big mistake. All but one of the Nigerians I met in denver acted like I was bugging them and to make it really annoying, you have most of them driving cabs, security at the courts and co and still push their silly hair filled nose at you.
was at an ebga function like 3weeks ago and i remember seeing some guy who sat right beside me at the table who was acting like "him poo no dey smell" and then saw him again yesterday at the court(going to pay a ticket) and he was the security guy and he recognised me instantly but had to hide his face(maybe na cos of the machine wey i bring or just pure shamehuhhuh) and that really baffled me.I have not had any pleasant experience with Nigerians here, apart from 1 Nigerian and guess what! omo boi is doing very very good.owns a restaurant and got links up the hizzy but i hav e never seen him act like him poo no dey smell
