"Determined" means when the appeal is decided, not when it is heard. You are the one that misinterpreted the statute. If Wike files an appeal within 21 days, he remains in office until the appeal panels judgement on the matter. Check the case of Sullivan Chime in his first tenure. |
Pls forward this article to Vanguard |
Tell us, if you know |
So tell me, is there still an Eze Ndi Igbo in Akure? I just want to know, cos what was reported was that he has been de-recognised |
phiphis:Gbam!!! Nothing else! If we ask for anything more, call us bastards |
When will these guys settle down to govern? Its clear that at the national assembly, it is PDP that sets the tone and agenda. Look at ministerial clearing, APC MPs acting under the shadow of PDP MPs. Again look at Rep Committee's, PDP 45, just 3 chairs shy of APC's 48. Now, the Presidency -disaster. Statement today, if not reversal tomorrow, it is rebuttal. This is clearly not what Nigerians voted for. Who's in charge of statecraft please? I need answer please. (mature ones only) CR77: |
Please, please, before we criucify this great grandma, can we know what type of cartridge. If it is bullet cartridge for double barrel gun, then no issue na. That one is common and the guns are licensed as hunting rifle. But if na pistol or AK47, my hand no dey there. See, as police carefully didn't mention the bullet type and didn't show any picture of the cartridge, I have strong doubt. They should just leave the old woman alone. They just want to show their Oga say them dey work. If you check wella, the people wey arrest d old mama fit don sell RPG sef. Or will they claim they are just knowing, when the woman has been in the business since 1970s. I no believe this one |
The issue in Akure is not about existence of Eze Ndi Igbo. If there is ever an issue as such, there should be law to guide all parties -The council of traditional chiefs law specifically. I will be greatly shocked if the council of chiefs law in Ondo State provides that whoever angers the Deji of Akure should be manhandled by thugs. My point: the society is based and driven by rule of law. That's the only reason you can expect order. Not rule of Deji. Someone should cross over to the palace and tell Deji that his seat is a product of law and he must conduct himself in accordance with law. What happened in Akure was sheer lawlessness, even if the Deji was not honoured as he expects to be. He lacks such power under the law. macof: |
Chisos! The Cameroonians have taken war to Warsaw. Thot Calabar chicks were the national champions. How come these foreigners want to beat then despite home advantage. braine: |
PETITION STATEMENT |
General Buhari in an interview last night by Aljazeera said the army was justing waiting for the rain to go before flushing out Boko Haram and that he stood on the December deadline to win Boko Haram |
She's just a natural person. That's the way she is. She acts from her heart, not codedly and we call it unpolished |
flyingsnail:Bia biko, is this not what IPOB have been saying from before the war? When it is said that Igbos are ahead of every tribe in Nigeria, people begin to curse out of sheer jealousy and envy. Now, it took children of O'dua republic, 50years to reach the conclusion we reached in 1966. That's a gap of 50years. 50years! Anyway, 2 down, 1 to go. Eastern region & Western region. Mid west (Edo), are you coming along? |
I am trailing him too. He can't hide. I already told him. |
The minister of propaganda has not resumed duty and things are like this. How will it be wen he assumes duty, now that he has been cleared |
Thot they said the security operatives were battling insurgents |
So dey don reach Okene be dat. Kabba, Illorin, Osogbo next, heading finally to Lag. Baba should wake up o. My ppl would say "Awusa abak Awka" |
So, a re-run? If it's not in compliance with electoral act, then a re-run. |
Attorney General Fashola! Of the Federation, mind you. Quote my anywhere |
Arguments on Nairaland won't solve this. Also hasty, hush hush conclusions by the authorities won't either. What is needed is for ballistic experts from the Police bomb unit to visit and study the site. It is not the job of General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) to unravel the cause of an explosion. He has clearly acted beyond his brief, and obviously, there are gaps in his explanation. Op, you may not also be cock sure about your time bomb story, unless of course... |
Height of stupidity. Instead of facing his state, Umeahi resorts to courting Buhari. Tufiakwa! Let someone tell him that such move will not increase his akara allocation or attract federal projects. The ewu, should instead, tap of the rich mineral resources of Ebonyi -stones, salt, limestone, lead and tin as well as a thriving rice and agricultural belt to revolutionalise his state and by so doing, stand firm and face the centre. Isn't that what Lagos did? Ewu follow follow |
You clearly sound happy, abi? Exactly what the article is advocating against - that this is not a matter to politik about, but all Nigerians should join hands to route the insurgents. Anyway, since in the face of escalating attacks, you chose to believe and even propagate the propaganda of December deadline, we will be waiting. I have marked you out and I will remind you that it's all propaganda, there's no game plan to deal with the situation. GMB as a general is no advantage really. Ioannes: |
Give ur address please. And lets begin to network towards dat. I'm around stratford zomby: |
spanishkid:To 1. Above, I say, excellent! and, thank you! To 2., just provide your view and your suggestion on why you believe the "way" is wrong |
The Igbo factor, yet again! |
@Bevista, allow me to agree and disagree with you. First, I agree that it is good to sometime make excuses for a team you are passionate about, but I disagree with any effort to give hope that any economic agenda will ensue in 2006. Here are my reasons: 1. It all starts from the head: what is General Buhari's professed (or stated) or expressed economic agenda? Answer -nil. He has said nothing, zilch! What is APC's economic agenda on which basis they convinced Nigerians to take over the helm of affairs of the nation? Answer -it is becoming clear that there is really none. 2. Expect nothing in 2016: Policy has a life cycle, starting from envisioning to formulation to execution to appraisal, a full circle. This takes time. So what will happen in 2016? Envisioning or planning or formulation or execution? Answer: nothing. Reason, see 3&4 below. 3. It takes a full budget season to take a new policy into execution: policy drives budgeting process and any policy not yet formulated before 2016 budget cannot be executed by implementing 2016 budget 4. Finally, it is scary: when the head of state is bereft of any economic ideals or vision and the political party in power has none, what do you predict? Now, mix in the body language or expressed language that ministers are noise makers, so GMB has no plan to listen to any policy agenda coming from bloody noise-maker civilians, what will you finally predict? And guess what, the global economic outlook is clearly not favourable with all the predictions of ww3, Russia, America, Syria, Iran and Israel about to unravel. It is scary Bros. Propaganda won't do it bros and better stop saying what they haven't said. Have the administration said that it's economic agenda will come in full force in 2016? So where are you drawing your strength from? Personal conviction or what? Bevista: |
Just check the content of your submission. Very empty. Completely bereft of any idea, suggestion or critique. why didn't some ppl find postinor d morning after. PassingShot: |
Blame game, buck passing and incoherent logic. Compare your point #1 to point #2: So last administration caused oil price collapse and significant reduction in government revenue??* Next, investors are..., please say it again. ibedun: |
PassingShot:Why can't we stop all this comparing and face the matter. As far as I am concerned, any government that allows it's performance to be compared to an administration that has been voted out, should have a lot of soul-searching to do. Now, let's face it. In the past administration, the 1st independence day bombing, the Nigerian security circle had a lead and eventually resolved it. Someone is in jail for it now. Madalla Chrismas day bombing, it didn't take weeks and a lead was there. I haven't done deep research but there was also a pre-emptive strike in Apo to take out insurgents even before the finished hatching their plans. There was an 'awake' intelligence and counter-terrorist function in the country. Things have really gone worse, let's aadmit. The Abuja coordinated bombing is too big an operation to have completely slipped thru our intelligence network, and as at today, no lead yet. No arrest. No interrogation. Who tells you that a bigger hatch is not in the offing now they will be emboldened, knowing the new DSS is a complete bozo. And this is what u get when u want to appoint your brother to a sensitive post he lacks competence in. Don't be surprised that he may have just put other people like he was put to head key strategic operational units. Bros, this is nepotism. That is corruption. We always wait for big sums stolen to be announced to shout "corruption". Nepotism has done more damage to the nation than lost funds |
