Its is no longer news that I have been declared insolvent. After all effort to maintain my liquidity level to no avail I decide to let her go.

Just as organization retrenched worker during periods of economic downturn in order to cut cost of operations, I sent her a massage expressing my regret and reasons.


I feed her
I pay money for hair dressing
I buy clothes
I take her out every weekend
I buy shoes
I do everything thinkable

She works and earns but I still wonder why she would want me to do everything for her. I compiled my income statement and statement of financial position for the first quarter and found out that expenditures have exceeded income and debt is on the rise.

So I wholeheartedly declared my self insolvent yesterday and decided to cut cost in order to protect my goodwill.

Kwara State Government hereby announces the death of a COVID-19 case. The fellow had recently arrived Kwara from Lagos with his wife and a child shortly after he suffered stroke at his Lagos base.

Before his death, the government had treated him, his wife and their child as suspected cases and samples were taken from them. The results of their samples came back positive.

Unfortunately, he died early Saturday morning even before the family got to know about their COVID status. He has been buried accordingly. Everyone involved in the burial has now had their samples taken.

Because of the peculiarity of this development, the Rapid Response Team has moved in to bring all those involved into the isolation centre, including the wife and the child.

We pray to God to repose his soul. We urge citizens to see COVID-19 for what it is: a deadly and highly contagious virus that requires adherence to all safety protocols, including obeying the lockdown order.

We repeat that there is no shame or blame in contracting the virus as this is a global pandemic from which no one is immune.

We commiserate with his family on this painful development while also wishing all of our patients quick recovery.

The government also announces four new positive cases of COVID-19 — from amongst those who sneaked into the state from the northwestern axis of the country.

This brings to 28 the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kwara State. Of these, 19 are active while nine have been discharged. All active cases are asymptomatic.

You can get the town planning approval by yourself if you can visit the secretariat probably with a bricklayer that has his license and tax payments proves. That will save you from unnecessary spending. Imagine if you pay 110k to the block industry to supply you blocks. Don’t you think that will go long way? Honestly: all these architectural works are not necessary if it’s just 2,3 bedroom flat or self contained like we are discussing here. There nothing unique you gonna get from architects. Just random plan and booom. Your money is gone. What design do you want that you haven’t see? Just get to visit twitter or browse the internet and you’ll see different plans then you pick your preference.

That’s why I said bricklayer. Going for surveyors, architects will cost you even more than you think. Those guys will just bill you on top nothing. Get a trusted bricklayer and you’ll be happy you did. It saves money.

Okay I do not have a precise prediction on how much things cost in Tanke. Oh. I can’t help with any link here. Forgive me. But That place (tanke) is a little bit expensive and you know. But I believe if you get a bricklayer that you know very well. You won’t wont spend that much. Forget all these 10m, 40m people are writing here. Most people are still dreaming. Pls just get a good and trusted bricklayer and liaise, you’ll get the best. But honestly since you have you land already. You can push it with 3m. Seriously

Depends solely on your location. You need to be precise about the plan as well. My friend in Ilorin built his room and parlor self contained with 1.4m with nice interiors (new sets of chairs, TV, window blinds, bed and kitchen utensils). And trust me, the place is superb and great. He doesn’t use borehole, he uses pumping machine with his hand dug well. Forget all these faking here about imaginary buildings. Though without fencing and it’s just a plot of land. He got the land last year October at 150k during one promo from a real estate agent.

A finishing can cost more if more expensive materials are used like StepTiles roofing sheets, standing toilets, Spanish or Italian tiles and Turkish doors.

Means Normal 4.5 or 0.45 Aluminium roofing sheet which is currently between 20 to 25k per bundle (15 sheets)

Normal hanging toilets for 15 to 17k

Nigerian tiles, American panel doors for interior doors and China for external doors.

Basically nothing fancy

A three bedroom bungalow would obviously cost more

I am not an Architect, I just have experience in building. So I suggest you contact real architects, I can only offer advice based on my limited knowledge.

10 by 10 room, 12 by 12 sitting room, 4 by 4 toilet/bathroom, 7 by 7 kitchen and we are looking at 700 to 1000 blocks

Using Laterite Gravel to substitute for Granite may also cut down cost, especially if the land is dry.

Budget 1.5 m to 2m for moderate finishing with the dimensions above.
