This is a clear departure from the traditionYes! APC/Buhari must start doing opposite of what has not been working for us. |
I'm sorry for those of you who agree that the black race is inferior to others. I only agree that we have to stop depending on others for food, drugs, loans and grants, coz any nation who does these will remain subservient to others. We have to start refining the fuel for local consumption and stop the importation; it's embarrassing to say the least. If we can't achieve this in the next 8 years, then we need a revolution or dissolution of this country. Just know that: "Doesn’t matter the colour of his skin The man in Washington only cares for America So when you need some help, don’t you go there for salvation Gotta learn to depend on ourselves and look inwards. Gotta wake up now from deep slumber Break away the chains that hold us down Seek ye first the peace of the neighbours all around you Make this house of a place of happiness just like before"- Beautiful Nubia. |
tijehi:Tinubu is a vessel of honor before God, Jonathan is not. |
crixtex:Yes, just as God used a pagan Pharaoh for Joseph. God is not a bigot or the God of those who serve him alone. He is the God of all, so he can use anyone for His purpose; enemy or friend. |

baralatie:So even if the price of crude oil drops to $1 per barrel, the marketers will still keep the price of diesel at N150 per litre? Is that competition or monopoly? As the man you quoted stated earlier, the oil sector can not operate effectively, deregulated. There must be a form of state control. There can never be competition necessary to bring down the price, without the government having a stake, otherwise the marketers will be running the sector like a monopoly. Left to them, the marketers will keep the price high and create artificial scarcity whenever they want, deregulation or not. subsidy removed or not, the price of petroleum products will remain high and scarcity won't stop under this current arrangement. |
Under President Goodluck Clueless Jonathan, total removal of subsidy won't make any difference. You should ask yourself why the FG still pays subsidy on DPK even when no one buys at N50. |
Firefire:Jonathan is still in charge. He should take responsibility for it. |
He has no more image to "TANish" |
IBB perfected the destruction of this country. He institutionalized all the ills we're experiencing today. Nigeria was back on her feet under Buhari, after the fall in the hand of Shagari, until her was overthrown. PDP in their campaign of calumny even went as far as quoting IBB overthrow speech. SMH |
There are so many people around the world today who refuse to worship God because they have been taught this false teaching of an eternal hell fire for the lost, and who's to blame them? Yes, the lost are cast into the lake of fire, but they 'burn up' and 'perish', they do not burn forever, and this truth about hell are in the Word of God. Ezekiel 18:20 ...'The soul that sinneth,it shall die.' John 3:16 ...'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' Don't forget, we humans are in a natural 'fallen' state. Our natural desire is to sin. Now, are you going to tell me that God will burn in eternal hell fire, those who are lost, even though it was in their nature to sin? Do you get that? Our NATURAL desire in this flesh is to sin. How could God punish a person with that natural desire for sin, who lived for a mere 70? years, with eternal hell fire? This teaching of eternal hell fire is from satan to make God look like a mad tyrant who enjoys making people suffer, and in no way is it Bible truth! What is Hell? There are four meanings of hell in the Bible. In the Old Testament, the word is 'sheol' which simply means 'the grave'. There are three different words in the New Testament which are translated 'hell'. Those three words are:Tartarus, Gehenna and Hades. Let's look at these three in the New Testament. 2 Peter 2:4 ...'For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell [Tartarus], and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.'... This is interesting, because it says in this verse that God has already cast the angels who sinned (including satan) down to hell. Is satan and his angels roasting in hell fire now? No, they are freely roaming around this earth tempting and deceiving people. So what does this mean about hell? Well, the meaning of tartarus is 'dark abyss' or 'place of restraint'. Their punishment is future. Satan and his angels have been cast out of Heaven and are bound to this earth, so the 'hell' in this verse is basically the earth. By the way, the 'chains of darkness' in this verse doesn't mean the angels are literally chained in a dark place, it is symbolic of them being 'bound' to the earth. They cannot get back into Heaven. So we now know the Bible truth about 'tartarus'. Matthew 5:29 ...'And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell [Gehenna].'...... Did you see what Jesus said here? He said that the lost are cast into hell fire 'whole bodied'. Now how can someone who has just died, with their bodies in the grave be cast into hell fire with their body? It makes no sense. If it doesn't happen at death, when are the lost thrown into hell fire? Matthew 13:40...'As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world....... The tares here are the lost. So it is at the 'end of the world', that the lost are cast into hell fire. Jesus here calls it a 'furnace of fire', so we are talking about a real fire. Revelation also reveals the truth about hell fire. See the sequence of events below: Revelation 20:12 ...'and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.' Revelation 20:15 ...'And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.' Revelation 20:14 ...'And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.' Revelation 21:5 .....'And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold,I make all things new.' So we have a clear sequence of events above. First, the judgment, which happens after Jesus returns. Then, those who are lost are cast into the lake of fire (hell fire), to die the 'second death'. And finally, all things are made new. Again, how can God make ALL THINGS new if the lost continue to burn 'forever'? It's impossible, the lost will have to 'burn up' and be completely destroyed. This hell fire will also serve to purify the atmosphere and the earth from all the chemical pollutants in it, and most importantly to forever destroy sin and wickedness. The last of the three New Testament words for hell to look at is 'Hades'. Revelation 20:14 ...'And death and hell [Hades] were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.'... So hades cannot be hell fire, because it is cast into the lake of fire itself. So what is hades? Well, the King James Version Bible and Strong's translates it as 'the grave'. This now makes sense, death and 'the grave' are cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death. To back this up, take a look at 1Corinthians 15:55 ... 'O death, where is thy sting? O grave [Hades], where is thy victory?'... The Greek word for grave here is 'hades'. So we now know what hell is and the true meaning of the word 'hell'. Tartarus means: A place of darkness or restraint. Where satan and his angels are now, on earth, cast out of heaven. Gehenna means: A place of real fire (the lake of fire), where the wicked are punished, 'burned up' and destroyed and the Heaven and earth is cleansed ... 'At the end of the world'. Hades means: The grave. All people who have died, the lost and the saints are resting there. Therefore, the Bible is; "The soul that sins shall die [second death]-Ezekiel 18:20. It's not found anywhere in the Bible that sinners will burn forever. |
cantell:The scarcity has nothing to do with the price, but supply. Not less than 40% of total fuel consumption in Nigeria is from the SW. A fall in supply when the demand remain high creats scarcity. |
It's either supply remain as it was or demand dropped. Basic economics. |
chaberry:Unfortunately, this is the truth; Frankly speaking, I can’t think of anything I would regard as a positive highlight. Everything that I can think of, which I consciously or otherwise associate with this President, is terribly negative. I hope I am not disappointing you, but I have nothing positive to say about the government. |

Jonathan has had the opportunity of making a positive, indelible mark in the history of Nigeria, when at the helm of affairs the progress he made was not considerable. All he did was lying to himself and his army of zombies that he's the best thing ever to happen to Nigeria, even after being booted out for incompetence. |
realtestament:If GEJ's regime is the first you've experience since you knew your left hand from the right, it's understandable. But then, you can not be excused, because you can read about the past you didn't witness. |
You mean the same Jonathan, who by his cluelessness and ineptitude, has reduced the Nigerian masses to the direst condition and by his tolerance of corruption and impunity, exalted crooks and thieves to the highest National/Economic position/status possible? All indicators point to the opposite direction of the title of this thread. |
There will be no primary. The contestants will emerge through consensus. |
The usual suspects, who do not know where Ado is located, are here again shouting "Yorubas are cowards". Almost all these Hausa traders don't have decent accommodation. Most of them sleep outside in the open; don't have wife or children; and don't have properties more than what their two hands can carry. That's why it is easy for them to burn the market in the night and disappear in the morning; off to the next place. Nothing is at stake. If you help me see any Hausaman in that area in the next one month, please alert me. I need his foot print ![]() A study of Fayose should give you a clue what an average Ekiti person is like. |
Just as rebasing our GDP couldn't change the economic reality of the country, rebasing unemployment rate wouldn't change the fact that majority of Nigerians of productive age are either unemployed or underemployed. I'll put our unemployment rate at 60%, because to me, anyone earning $200 and below a month is as good as unemployed. |
