many. there's a family & dia relatives living next to us in Jos, they r completely Igbo & r ikweres too. Wen I found out dey r frm rivers, I was totally suprised & at d same time confused, my mum explained everytin to me back den. The problm is d way IBB recreated d regions & states afta d civil war to marginalised d Igbos & it worked. Taking some Igbo speaking parts into oda surrounding SE states. We used to hv d bendel state with bendel Igbos as one of d inhabitants(d Agbor ppl & co) but today will u say dey r no longer Igbo because IBB removed Igbo frm dia name? Think abt it.
I'm not saying they are not Igbos. In fact, they have stronger links with Igbos than Yorubas with the Itsekiri. The culture, the language, their name, but it's worrisome how 8 out of 10 Ikweres will deny being Igbo. I think it's delibrate from their Leaders, and in that case, I'm afraid, you can't have them with you.
I'm from Ekiti LGA of Kwara State. My Home Town is the Spiritual headquarter of neighboring Communities, in to Ekiti State territory. We share everything in common. The state and regional boundaries is not just existing. How regional boundary succeeded in changing who they are is what I don't know.

I hv seen & bn wit some who bliv dey r Igbos. One of my best frnds in unidays used to argue wit me abt dat wen I insisted he's not Igbo wic made him speak mostly igbo lang to me uptil nw even afta I've accepted him as an Igbo man. So u wont use few persons to judge a whole ppl.
And how many Ikweres have told you they are Igbos? I just said they answer Igbo names and speak Igbo too, but they would tell you they are Ikweres and not Igbos.
My girlfriend is from Rumuola. I believe Ikweres are in thousands there. You can go and confirm from them.

Forget the Ikweres, they won't be part of Biafra. I have an Ikwere girlfriend from Rumuola and she always insist she's not Igbos even when she bears Igbo names. Same for all the Ikweres I've ever met. You just have to be sincere with yourself on this.

the crushing blow of defeat of Ibo's biafra is indeed a crushing albatross that has dissipated every trace of confidence in the ibo man as an individual and as a group of people.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Social Program PART II: Feasible or Laughable? by otr1(m): 9:58pm On Apr 20, 2015
I've said it earlier, APC won't be running PDP's budget.
In addition to implementing the social welfare programs, the amount that will be budgeted for capital expenditure won't be less than N1 trillion under APC.

Oga, how do you expect civil service to improve in its productivity without adequate funding for research? Btw the N45b is even meagre for any serious research by a country's department. Rather than encourage research, you are discouraging it. Na wa o
We have a certain Public Servive Institute who has a budget for research. You see what I'm talking about? And by the way, MDAs have budgets for Training of their Staff for "improved productivity". They have no business researching and indeed, they are not.
That's just one of the many ways we've been spending money doing nothing.

Let me educate you, you cannot just wakeup to cut down recurrent expenditure JUST like that. You will need the NASS to repeal act that created some Agencies and Parastatals first. then You will need to SACK some people... And be ready to face the wrath of NLC and the masses.

Secondly, the so-called 300,000 per barrel that is lost daily does not translate to 100% of the money into our treasury except you want an Obiagelli's kind of calculation. To end oil wastege and theft, you need to put structures in place and check-mate sabotage. The truth is that takes LOTS of time and CAN'T be achieved in 2 years all things being equal. cheesy cheesy cheesy
You don't seem to understand. For example, MDAs budgeted more than N45 billion on research alone. What are they researching? Are they Universities or Research Institutes? Without firing a single person, we'll still save nothing less than N500 billion by blocking wastages and duplications.
As for the oil theft issue, it won't take more than 6 months to end, coz Buhari's Government will not be an accomplice to that the way GEJ's was. A quarter of that would make a huge difference.

Bros, shey you understand economics so? Abeg no de fall hand.
I'm not interested in the official figure. They tell you just what the Government wants you to believe. I insist your knowledge is limited to what you read on paper.
By the way, 25% of the content of our annual budgets are duplications and unnecessary.

Now read this:
According to President Goodluck Jonathan, 300,000-400,000 barrels of oil per day, or more than 10% of all Nigeria's production, is being lost at a cost to the state and oil companies of around £1bn a month – more than is spent on education and the health of the nation's 168 million people. Not only is Nigerian oil theft helping to keep the world price of oil high, it is causing corruption and social disorder, says the president.
http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2013/oct/06/oil-theft-costs-nigeria

Now, that's something.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Social Program PART II: Feasible or Laughable? by otr1(m): 2:25pm On Apr 20, 2015
Please include the value of what we lose in oil theft. I hope you know that would be part of our earnings when Buhari comes on board?

And by the way, believe we run on deficit at your own peril.

Don't sweat! You're about to know PDP Government have been scamming you since 1999.
We won't be spending 90% of our budget servicing the extravagant lifestyles of few people. Keep that in mind.

I support GEJ but I don't take everything the say hook-line and sinker.

This is a fcking speculative opinion and no substance. OK they should select the committee for GEJ. Abegg!!
I'm not talking about Mallam Shehu's opinion, I'm talking about what I know. Even if he says otherwise, it won't change anything with me. The man is not even saying the whole thing.

The argument is beyond propaganda. Change has come and it will not be bussiness as usual. Why does GEJ want to handover may 28? That is not the tradition in this country. They have vowed openly that even if GMB win election, they will not hand over to him rather to the military. Top PDP leaders and spokespersons have sworn in public that GMB can never be president of this country again. Just think of it, is it not wise to be suspicious when someone said u are going to die soon and the person is giving u food to eat. APC and the president-elect got to be careful with PDP.
Leave that saTANist. To them, everything from APC is propaganda. They can't see beyond their noses.

They love using that word. Allow them.

Look, my brother... I've told you before that calling names and insult doesn't speak good of anyone... Can you make your points without doing this?
Imagine, telling your dad this face to face... Social media has really show how disrespectful we are growing...
He made some vital points but he doesn't stand any chance because GMB is our president... Be constructive and libra in arguement then you won't call people names but respect their opinion. Because we want something then does it mean we should live in lies?
You're preaching to the wrong person.
Buhari could have been my Dad. What would be your reaction if someone like him keeps insulting your Dad? Give him a medal? Look, I didn't waste my time reading that shît, but I'm certain he would use similar word I used to qualify him for Buhari too. I won't be proud of him if he were to be my Dad. He's too slow.

If she happens to die, the Lady that pushed her in the first instance will be arrested and charged for murder/man slaughter.

Is she the one stopping the Government from providing water for them? Why transfer the aggression?
If it were the Councillor/LG Chairman responsible for sinking bore-hole that's lying on the floor, I'm sure they won't be watching him die like this. What am I saying?! They won't have the courage to challenge him not to talk of fighting him.

I'd throw all of them in jail if I were thereangry

He never thought it wise to do what he was elected to do, until it was re-election he needed.
N2Trillion would give us the 2nd Niger Bridge(without having to toll it), 8-lane Ilorin-Ibadan-Lagos expressway, Ibaka Sea Port and it would raise the newly established Federal Universities to reasonable standards. But what do we have? A president who spent most of his time doing nothing, but decided to engage in stomach infrastructure when it's few week to election.
You still wondering why he lost?
PoliticsRe: South-East, South-West, South-South Lead In Attainment Of MDG Goals by otr1(m): 2:25am On Apr 19, 2015
Across the zones, the North West with 77, followed by South East with 69, had more infants dying without seeing their first birth day in every 1000 live births.
Someone should tell me the correlation between prosperity, literacy and high infant mortality rate?
PoliticsRe: South-East, South-West, South-South Lead In Attainment Of MDG Goals by otr1(m): 1:41am On Apr 19, 2015
GOAL 2: ACHIEVE UNIVERSAL PRIMARY EDUCATION
Target 2A: Ensure that, by 2015, children everywhere, boys and girls alike, will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling.
As for this, how do you come up with the fact that all pupils who enrolled in a particular school but never finished there, actually dropped out? Most, if not all of these pupil certainly completed their primary school education in another school due to migration or parents preferences. At least 99 of 100 children in the south and most parts of NC complete their primary school education. Facts!cool
PoliticsRe: South-East, South-West, South-South Lead In Attainment Of MDG Goals by otr1(m): 1:10am On Apr 19, 2015
Chai!!! Ibos mästurbating on a report with wrong indicator.
GOAL 1: TO ERADICATE EXTREME POVERTY AND HUNGER
Target 1c: Halve between 1990 and 2015, the proportion of people who suffer from hunger.
Indicator 1.8: Prevalence underweight children under five year of age.
This goal has three Targets:
*.between 1990 and 2015 halve the proportion of people whose income is less than US$1.25 a day
*.achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all, including women and young people
*.between 1990 and 2015, halve the proportion of people who suffer from hunger.

Using underweight children as an indicator is insufficient. We have children born to millionaires who have weights below the mark.

High food prices, lower incomes and increasing unemployment due to the economic crisis are major causes of hunger. If we measure hunger as a function of food prices and income, SE will certainly be behind SW and NC.
That said.
